Flow and FlowN equivalent activities in OSB

What are the equivalent acivities for Flow and FlowN of BPEL in OSB ?
In other way , what are the activities available in OSB for performing parallel processing of tasks a. when number of paralle branches are static b. When they are dynamic.

Got this from Oracle Documentation !
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/dev.1111/e15866/tasks.htm#OSBDV204
There are two Split-Join patterns, the Static Split-Join and the Dynamic Split Join.
The Static Split-Join can be used to create a fixed number of message requests (as opposed to an unknown number). For instance, a customer places an order for a cable package that includes three separate services: internet service, TV service, and telephone service. In the Static use case, you could execute all three requests in separate parallel branches to improve performance time over the standard sequential execution.
The Dynamic Split-Join can be used to create a variable number of message requests. For instance, a retailer places a batch order containing a variable number of individual purchase orders. In the Dynamic use case, you could parse the batch order and create a separate message request for each purchase. Like the Static use case, these messages can then be executed in parallel for improved performance.

  • Difference between Flow and FlowN

    Hi,
can you please tell me difference between flow and flowN
    Thanks
    Nirmal

    see : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28981/parallel.htm
flow will make use of a predefined (by you) amount of branches, with flowN you can make the amount of branches dynamic
    so lets say we have
    getUserDetails
    getAddressDetails
now you can use flow, create 2 branches and do the call to both methods in each branch.
let's say you receive a list of customers in your service interface. Now you can loop over with for-each of every customer and sequential do logic like getCustomerDetails in the loop, or ...you create a flowN and N will be the count of the customers in the list.
After this you will get N parallel branches which will do getCustomerDetails (instead of the other sequential looping)
so flowN is the dynamic variant which will create N branches based on the counter-field you base your expression on

  • What is difference between ADF Task Flow and Faces-Config - when delpoy ?

What is difference between ADF Task Flow and Faces-Config? When I create navigation between pages with ADF task flow then the navigation don't work when I deploy my application to Weblogic 10.3. When I use default server then navigation works fine. With Faces_config in both situations all works ok - on Stanalone server and default.
    Where is the problem?
    Best regards!

Shay, I don't use both faces-config and adf task flow! When I failed with task flow I tried faces-config.
I have active on my weblogic - adf.oracle.domain(1.0,11.1.1.0.0). This is the right ADF? If yes then where is the problem?
    Best regards!

  • Flow and Static checks

    Hi there,
I created a datamodel and have applied a condition to it. When I execute the interface the invalid records are captured in the E$ table but all the other valid records do not appear on the target table. I couldn't able to find the reason for this. I have applied flow and static check to the condition and the same for the table column. Im not sure why the validate records are rejected.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Cheers

    HI!
Let me understand, do you want the invalid records at target table?
If you use the flow control it will keep the records at E$ and WILL NOT load it.
If you use static control, it will LOAD the data and, after that, verify what are the records with problems.
Don't use both controls at same time, it doesn't make logical sense unless when needs to validate distinct constraints at each moment.
    Does it help you?

  • Cover flow and album sort issues

I just got a 80GB iPod classic for Christmas and I have noticed some annoying differences between iTunes cover flow and iPod cover flow:
    1. In iTunes cover flow, when you have songs with "Unknown Album", they clutter up the cover flow for each artist. In iPod cover flow, they are sent to the back of the cover flow in a nice little "Various Artists" cover. I like how this works on the iPod better.
    2. iTunes cover flow sorts by album artist, so you don't see a separate album for each non-album artist song.
For example: If I set my album artist for the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack to "Saturday Night Fever" (don't ask why, this is how i like it sorted) then I will only see one "Saturday Night Fever" rather than one for Bee Gees, one for Kool & the Gang, etc.
iPod cover flow sorts by artist, so you see a separate album for each non-album artist song. I like the way this works in iTunes better.
    3. When sorting by "Album by Year" in iTunes, syncing the iPod doesn't seem to follow the same sorting. Albums are still sorted on the iPod alphabetically. I want them to sort by year on my iPod.
So I would appreciate it if someone could help me with all 3 of these issues. As you can see, sometimes iTunes is better for me, sometimes iPod is better for me.

    3. Playlists should be sorted in the same way as they are in iTunes. The Cover Flow order is fixed.
This is not the case, at least not with iTunes 7.5.0.20 and my 80GB Classic running 1.0.3 on it (current version as of this writing). In iTunes, under LIBRARY, I select Music, and I have my music sorted via *Album by Year*. This works perfectly in iTunes. I'll use my Soundgarden library as an example, as it shows the problem nicely.
    *_iTunes order_:*
    Ultramega OK
    Louder Than Love
    Screaming Life/Fopp
    Badmotorfinger
    Superunknown
    Songs From The Superunknown
    Down on the Upside
    A-Sides
That's ordered by date and is perfect. +Ultramega OK+ was released way back in 1988, while A-Sides was released nearly 10 years later in 1997. In Cover Flow View it works great. However, in the iPod it's sorted alphabetically, which is completely wrong:
    *_iPod Classic_:*
    A-Sides
    Badmotorfinger
    Down on the Upside
    Louder Than Love
    Screaming Life/Fopp
    Songs From The Superunknown
    Superunknown
    Ultramega OK
This is totally wrong. And I haven't yet found a way to force it.
Apple, please, this shouldn't be that difficult.

  • Creating variables in Process Flows and using thse variables in the filter

    Hi,
I am new to OWB and in learing stage. Need to information.
*1. as to how pass/create/use variables to OWB mapping ?*
*2. Creating variables in Process Flows and using thse variables in the filter operator of the OWB mapping?*
*3. Other mechanisms of how to create/use variables within OWB mapping itself ?*
can you please provide the above details and guide me / help me in this regard.
    Thanks,
    skms.

    1. Add parameters to your mapping using the MAPPING INPUT PARAMETER from the pallette.
    2. Add parameters to the START operator in the process flow. Bind the process flow parameter to the Mapping parameter.
    3. May be appropriate to use CONSTANTS instead of parameters.

    Hi All,
What is the difference between Windows Workflow Activities And SharePoint Workflow Activities in Workflows?
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi,
Both are developed with .NET framework, per my knowledge, the biggest difference would be the environment they applied to: one for Windows platform, one for SharePoint platform:

All you need is a physical plug adapter, not a voltage converter. All Apple chargers work on any voltage from 110 - 240 worldwide.

  • Java is designed to have a look and feel equivalent to????

Java is a programming language designed to have a look and feel equivalent to:
    a. VB
    b. C++
    c. Cobol
    d. NotesScript
    Cheers!

If you mean look and feel from a language perspective, Java was heavily influenced by C++.
Since this is a multiple choice question quoted verbatim from either a textbook or your homework, I assume that you aren't really interested in any more information than that.

  • Optical Flow and setting Offset make Not an Image

    Hi all,
What I'm trying to accomplish is taking only a few hundred rows from a camera sensor to improve frame rate and moving the offset around based on movement in the image.
I am utilizing configure grab and grab in a loop to improve refresh rate.
I set up a test where the offset in Y was just incremented each loop and displayed the image. This is no problem. I have the incrementor as a remainder output and it will loop all day without error, and the image 'scrolls' across the available sensor space.
When I use optical flow (or point LK algorithm), with no incrementation, and just moving the camera around, optical flow has no problem. It will run all day. Also, the output is correct when I take care to set up the algorthim.
However, when I put the incrementation of the offset and the optical flow together, there is a problem. I expect the optical flow to return a vector similar to my incrementation. Instead, the program exits with a 'Not an Image' in the input of the optical flow block. Indeed, if I put a probe down the image does not appear.
The weird thing is this: for some increments it runs no problem. If I increment 10 rows at a time, no problem. If 8 or 9 or 1 for example, it crashes with 'Not An Image'. If I feedback the output of the optical flow vector into the offset change, the program will run until the distance of the vector in one of the X or Y directions happens to be one of these 'unhappy' numbers.
I also don't understand why 'Grab.vi' is returning an empty image when connected to optical flow, but with an image output without optical flow the image is never empty.

    Hi,
Please share your code if possible. This would be helpful to better understand your code flow and make recommendations accordingly.
Also for your reference, here is also a link to a forum regarding optical flow:

  • Iphone pauses and flips to cover flow and back with other earphones

If I use any other earphones than the ones that are provided, my iphone pauses and plays randomly, and flips to cover flow and back without any movement... any help?

Connect the two devices that are showing large backups to your computer and check the capacity guage in iTunes to see how large "Other" is.  Sometimes this can grow to be extrememly large, requiring you to restore the device to reduce it to a more reasonable level (approx. 1GB).

  • Cover Flow and pictures of album...

Alright, hey peeps, I have a SLIGHT(ya right) problem. When I take songs from my comp to my iPod classic (80g), when I go on "Songs" it shows an album right? Yeah, well, the thing is, when I go on SONGS, it only shows ONE album picture. Thats ok, but when I go to cover flow, the other album pictures (That are visible on Windows Media Player) are NOT there! Where are the picture?! And when I listen to the song (the cover of the album in this one is a large ship stuck in an iceberg) and its not there while you can clearly see it in WIndows Media Player. Please people help out because I AM VERY FURIOUS!! I AM BEGGING FOR YOUR KIND AND HELPFUL WORDS!!

iTunes will display a cover in many of it's views provided at least one track from the album has embedded artwork. The iPod appears to load only the artwork from track one to create the cover flow and album views which means that it can sometimes fail to display art for albums even when you can see the art in iTunes. Further, when tracks are played on the iPod, artwork is displayed if and only if it exisits in the currently playing track, so track one may show art while track two does not.
To find all the tracks without artwork so that you can update them you can try http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs. If you're using Google or other FWSE to locate suitable images they should be jpg's and ideally square, 320x320 pixels or above and borderless to give the best results in the various menus.
