Flow (overview/conceptual flow) of SD

flow (overview/conceptual flow) of SD to be known by an ABAPer?
(also mention all the database fieldnames to be used by an ABAPer in the different phases of SD)

Hi
SD tables
Sales Order - Customer gives a Purchase order to the company agaionst which a Sales order will be raised to Customer in SAP.
VBAK: Sales Document(Header Data) (VBELN)
VBAP: Sales Document(Item Data) (VBELN,POSNR,MATNR,ARKTX,CHARG)
Enquiry, Quotation, Sales Order are differentiated based on Doc.
Type(VBTYP field) in VBAK,VBAP Tables( for Enquiry VBTYP = A,
for Quotation 'B' & for Order it is 'C'.)
Delivery(Picking, Packing, Post Goods Issue and Shipment)->
Company sends the material after picking it from Godown and Packing it in a Handling Unit(box) and Issues the goods
Sales process
Sales
Inquiry - A customer’s request to a company that they provide a quotation or sales information without obligation. An inquiry can relate to materials or services, conditions and if necessary delivery dates. The sales area that accepts the inquiry becomes responsible for further processing.
Quotation - A quotation presents the customer with a legally binding offer for delivering a product or providing a service within certain fixed conditions. This offer is legally binding for the company within a specified time period. A sales area can reply to a customer inquiry with a customer quotation or use it to refer to a business partner contact.
Sales Order - Request from a customer to a company to deliver a defined quantity of products or provide a service at a certain time.
The sales area that accepts the inquiry is responsible for completing the agreement.
Create Delivery:a. Picking - The picking process involves taking goods from a storage location and staging the right quantity in a picking area where the goods will be prepared for shipping.
b. Packing - Packing is part of delivery- and shipment processing. When you process a delivery, you can select delivery items for packing and assign them to handling units (HUs).
c. Goods Issue - As soon as the goods leave the company, the shipping business activity is finished. This is illustrated using goods issue for outbound deliveries.
Billing - Billing represents the final processing stage for a business transaction in Sales and Distribution. Information on billing is available at every stage of order processing and delivery processing.

  • Flow (overview/conceptual flow) of MM

The flow (overview/conceptual flow) of MM (from the ABAper's point of view)?

    Hi,
MM starts with creation of purchase requsition ,it is an internal document raised inside the orgasitation. If suppose ur pc is not working you will tell this to your manager and he/she in turn need to place an order to the it dept for the new pc .this is internal doc flowing inside the organisation.this is purchse requistion.
After the purchase requisition IT dept checks for the satndard vendors that are avaiable to buy pc like Hp,IBM,DELL.(vendor :A company which supplies parts or services to another company. also called supplier. )IF there are any standard vendors we directly place an order.
If not IT dept will send R.F.Q(request for quotation) for the vendors and in turn vendors will send quotaion .
After they send the quotation IT dept will compare all the quotations selects one based on the price simulation ans select one like from HP and place an purchase order .(Commercial documents used to request vendors to supply a product or service in return for payment and providing specifications and quantities. )
after placing the purchase order goods recepit will be done based on the purchase order.(goods receipt will some times with out considering purchase order as Po will not be placed sometimes for urgent requirement)
->Then comes invoice verification.Invoice verification be sometimes before goods receipt also.

  • Work flow overview in PR

    Hi
Iam facing a problem in customized work flow. Work item is found in T-code SWIA and in SBWP(business work place).
But When i go to Purchase requisition screen(ME53N) and click Work flow overview,I receive  a message "There are no work flows that have already worked with this object"
    Message no. SWL013
    Any customizing was  missed?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    Hi,
This sap standard functionality only searches for workflows started with the appropriate business object.
    In your case BUS2105.
If you use a different one then it will not show up in here.
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

  • Is there a way to RECREATE the Page Flow Overview in BEA Workshop 4WL?

BEA Workshop foe weblogic makes JSP development a lot simpler, and the auto generated Page Flow Overview is a nice feature - as long as your page flows are relatively small and simple. It doesn't take much to completlly confuse the tool though and you end up with a workflow with all sorts of flow lines cris-crossing each other - often I which I could just reach in and move a single jsp or action item and the whole mess would straighten out.
Is there a way to reposition individual elements of the Page Flow Overview or failing that to have it Recreate itself (in hopes that it will straighten out the mess itself).
Also is there a way to manually edit the flow - adding notes and/or objects and flow lines?

There is no explicit "refresh" button for the Page Flow Overview (PFO), however clicking the "Show Link Labels" button on the toolbar will cause the graph to be redrawn.
That said, in my experience replotting the graph nearly always arrives at the same layout. While the layout algorithm does a pretty good job with large graphs generally, some very highly connected graphs can be pretty tough to read right off the bat.
For various reasons we've moved away from having users manually tweak the layout to deal with this situation. However, we added some highlighting functionality to help make graphs easier to read even if the layout appears tangled.
If you click the Graph Tracing button on the PFO toolbar you can select a given node and see all directly connected nodes highlighted. If some of the directly connected nodes are far away on the canvas, park the PFO next to the Page Flow Editor view and you'll be able to see a more regular arrangement of the same nodes.
When you're more interested in following a specific path than seeing the whole immediate neighborhood, you can hit the slash key repeatedly to cycle through highlighting all the links connected to the selected node.
Finally, you can ctrl-click to multi-select links of interest if you want to trace a given path all the way through the flow. If you were doing this for documentation purposes you can print the graph in this state, or click the Export to Image button, to make a copy of the highlighted path.
WRT your other question about editing the flow - the Page Flow Editor is intended to complement the PFO as a means of efficiently editing the flow. Select a node in the PFO and you be able to add/modify connections to that node viat the Page Flow Editor.
There is no provision to add notes or other objects to the flow (though the exported image files can of course be annotated in a graphics editor for documentation purposes).
    I hope that helps.

  • Business flow overview

    Hello gurus,
I am an ABAPer . i would like to know the overview of business flow in FINANCE. can anyone help me rearding this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Vara,
    check this :
The link between SD and MM :-
    1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the items are copied from Material master of MM.
    2. MRP and availibility check related data is also taken from MM although you control this data in SD also.
    3. While you create inbound/outbound delivery with reference to a sales order, the shipping point determination takes place with the help of the loading group, plant data, shipping conditions etc. This also refers to Material Master.
    4. The material which you are entering in a sales order must be extended to the sales area of your sales order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this material.
There are many such links between SD and MM.
Now the link between SD and FI :-
    1. Whenever you create a delivery with reference to a sales order, goods movement takes place in the bacgground. eg. In case of standard sales order, you create an outbound goods delivery to the customer.
Here movement 601 takes place. This movement is configured in MM. Also, this movement hits some G/L account in FI. Every such movement of good s hits some G/L account.
    2. The accounts posting in FI is done with reference to the billing documents (invoice, debit note, credit note etc) created in SD. Thus this is a link between SD and FI
    3. Tax determination: In case of a tax determination also, there is a direct link between SD and MM

In Recruitment first we create the vacancies vacancies are created in OM Tranasaction Code PO13 Select vacancy infotype  and create.  Advertisements are created  Transactionm Code is PBAW
When vacancies are created we go for initial data entry.  Transaction Code is PB10  here we assign applicant to advertisement number and personnel officer.
After this we go for enter additional Data PB40 . If applicant status is Prepare to hire we can transfer applicant data to Personnel Administration , Transaction Code is PBA7 or we can run the personnel Action Hire applicant.

  • SD Flow Overview

    Hi
i'm ABAP consultant.i want to know the  flow of SD and integration of SD with other modules.help me to know about SD.

    Hi Michael,
INTERGRATION BETWEEN SD AND MM AND SD & FICO
The link between SD and MM: -
    1. When you create sales order in SD, all the details of the items are copied from Material master of MM.
    2. MRP and availability check related data is also taken from MM although you control this data in SD also.
    SD AND MM INTGRATON
1a. Looking at MM and SD interaction first, take the scenario of a third party order process. This process uses a purchase order (which is sent to your vendor). Also invoice verification is used further along the process to check that the invoice you send to your customer is the same material and quantity as that which the vendor sends to you (but obviously shipped
    directly to your customer).
1b. Billing is an SD function. But SAP needs to know, when processing a customer's payment, to which GL account the payment has to be processed. For instance payment of a UK based material would be placed in a different GL account to that of a non-UK based material. Furthermore, a UK based customer may have a different GL account to that of an Export customer. This is configured in Account Determination.
    2. ABAPers are there to essential do some bespoke development. Your integration, or interaction, with them would be when specifying the tables, fields, input fields, a simple process explanation, data mapping (if doing an interface from one system to another) etc. *-- Shahee

    4. The material which you are entering in a sales order must be extended to the sales area of your sales order/customer otherwise you cannot transact with this material.
There are many such links between SD and MM
In Pricing we would want to determine the cost of the product
thru VPRS Condition Type. This cost of the material is
picked from the Material Master. How this happens is, if
we would want to determine this cost VPRS in the Sales Order
for Profitability purpose then , all those Item categories
that can appear in a sales order must be activated for
Determine Cost Check box in customizing. That’s one of the SD
    MM Integration.

If you work in SD area, then the most important process where you really need to know MM area is the third-party process. In this case from SD sales order automatically the purchase requisition will be created on MM side. From this purchase requisition on MM side you create the purchase order on MM side. This purchase order updates the sales order on SD side, if you create the confirmation of the purchase order. This process takes place for the pure third-party as well as for individual purchase order process. Later the invoice will be sent from MM to SD (transaction MIRO) and will update the status of the SD order. If you work with this process then you need really know MM transactions quite well, because it is the same SD and MM system.
Another area where you have SD of one system integrated with MM of another system is the EDI process. Here several remarks concerning EDI concept of SD:
EDI concept is intended to realize the sales and distribution process completely automatically with the help of electronically documents. These documents are sent from one customer to another, are processed mostly on the background and give a possibility to realize the sales process extremely efficiently.
If MM-customer would like to purchase the goods then he creates the IDOC of type ORDERS and send it to SD-customer. On the SD-side the IDOC is processed via the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS and creates the sales order. As confirmation the SD-side can send to MM-side the Order-Response IDOC (function IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS). The MM-customer can every time send a change to the existing order, then on SD side the ORDCHG IDOC will be processed. It can change the order like in VA02. The creation of the invoice can be made via IDOC of message type INVOIC (function IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC).
So, the process can be realized completely automatically between SD and MM partners with the help of IDOCs: ORDERS, ORDCHG, ORDRSP, INVOICE.
Additional processes in SD, where EDI are used in communication with MM are:
    1) sending (from MM side) and application (on SD side) of delivery schedules to the scheduling agreement: IDOC of type DELINS. In this case we have practically automatically communication between SD and MM scheduling agreements via IDOCs;
    2) creation of credit advice / credit memo in the frames of self-billing: IDOCs of type GSVERF, SBWAP and for external invoice creation SBINV are sent from MM customer to SD customer. So, the output function module belongs to MM area and the inbound function module - to SD area.
    Please Reward If Really Helpful,

  • Enable artist overview, cover flow on ipod AND artist column in iTunes...

    Greetingz
    Here's the problem:
I want to enable the artist column in iTunes for all my music.
I can already do this with genres and albums, and its so convenient.
However the artist column is showing only "collections" instead of -+for example Abba, Aerosmith, ACDC, ..+-
This is because I have put everything on Complication "Yes"
and on my ipod classic complication in the music menu is 'clicked' off. Why? so the ipod doesn't show all covers separately in the cover flow. its all good on the ipod; I can also get a list of all artists and genres. But in iTunes the artist column only gives one category and thats "complications" not like abba aerosmith acdc you name it. How can I get this right for both the ipod (remember also the cover flow as well as the artists must work correctly) AND iTunes? I find this very complicated and one of the only things I am unable to figer out.
Many many thanks to all who help!

"Compilation" means that the album is one of those Time-Life type "Disco Hits" or "50's Greats" CDs that aren't by one artist. I would suggest either turning off compilations for everything or going through each song and filling in the "Album Artist" field.

New Issue with Sales order document flow:
When linking from a sales order in document flow, we were reviewing why the description information varied.  In looking at different values, we clicked on a new item within document flow that allows you to like to ‘Service Documents’.   This is new in 6.0, or it was previously deactivated in 4.6C.  If you link from a sales order to a service document, in ECC 6.0, you will get a short dump because the document flow is so great (viewing order #any in VA03 and use document flow and then select the service documents button    as seen on the screen below

Here in ECC 6.0 is how it looks from sales order 9806:
Documents created from 2004 through 2007 are coming up as linked to this sales order and that is incorrect.  There is some type of linkage issue.  In the 4.6 C environments, the ‘service documents’ link is not visible from document flow.
Can any body functional / technical Help on this urgent???

    Hi Sanjay,
Go to the order VA03 --> Environment --> status overview. The exact status of the header and item can be found here. You may have chances to know why the status is being processed.
    Also
Check whether you have checked 'document flow update' field at item level in copy control
Check your settings for completion rule in item category
If it is due to incorrect status message, run report SDVBUK00. That might fix the error. It is recommended to run this first in test mode.

  • Does not show anything in Flow tab in Interface

    Hi,
I am new in ODI and doing File to File data transformation. I have done this successfully.
But here I used Global Context.
Instead of Global Context of I used my own Context that I have created in the Overview tab of interface the source , staging and target is not separated in the flow tab.
in overview tab of Interface if I select Optimization Context : my_Own_Context instead of global context and selected SYNOPSIS_MEMORY_ENGINE , in flow tab I got following message and Source, staging, target does not exist here:
the following message I getting in Flow tab:
Grag objects from the navigator here to model them. Alternatively, use the component paletter to create new objects.
Could you tell me why I getting this problem & how to resolve it.

    Hi,
optimization context is used by ODI only to determine if staging source and target are the same or not. If you want to execute in another context you don't need to change opt context, but execute-> select context.
By the way you should have similar architecture between your context. Map your logical schema in your new context, close your interface and re-open it

  • Flowing data from one Table to another

I am new to Numbers and I am having a hard time figuring out how to flow a sum from one table into another table. Is this possible? Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi lassiegirl,
Welcome to Apple Discussions and the Numbers '09 forum.
Apple provides two excellent resources that I recommend be downloaded by all Numbers users, the Numbers '09 User Guide and the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide. You'll find linke for both of them in the Help menu in Numbers.
The first will give you an overview of Numbers and how it works—spend some time with the preface and the first chapter, browse the rest on a need to know basis when you're doing something new. The second is a reference, useful when you're trying to write a formula.
    To your question...
You can copy the sum from one table to another.
For the example formula beow, both Table 1 and Table 2 have one header row and one footer row, and a total of 21 rows each.
If the SUM on Table 1 is in cell C21, and you want to include it in the SUM of column C in Table 2, you could transfer the sum to C1 in the header row of Table 2 with:
    C1:  =Table 1::C21
In C21 of Table 2 (a Footer row), use any of these formulas:
    =SUM(C)+C1
    =SUM(Table 1::C)+SUM(C)
    =SUM(Table 1 :: C,C)
The first calculates the sum of the cells in column C (of its own table—Table 2) and adds the value in C1, the total transferred from Table 1.
The second returns the same result by calculating the sums of the two columns separately, then adding those sums.
The third takes the single arguments of the two SUM statements in the second, and lists them as multiple arguments in a single SUM statement.

  • Problem with context mapping and data flow in a FPM application

    Hi All,
I am trying to develop an ESS application using FPM. For the same, the requirement is to see the history of an employee in the second view.
The first view has got just the overview information and the second one has got the detail. So, the records or the fields are the same on both the views.
As per the FPM guidelines, the Model is residing in the Fc component and the respective Vc components are using the model data accordingly.
I am executing the model in the Fc component calling the executable method in the interfaceController of the first view and then trying to display the output data of the BAPI in the first view which provides the overview information. This is working fine.
But when i am trying to map the same output node to the Table UI for the second view, the record size is coming zero and thus no information is available.
For the above issue, I am again executing the RFC in the InterfaceController of the second view to populate the records, which is incorrect as it is already executed and the data is available for the first view.
I request you to let me know the correct approach to Context mapping and data flow when using FPM-roadmap. Is their any standard method or approach available to deal with such requirements? Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    DK

    Hi Idhaya,
I model node is available in Fc and the Fc interface controller is being used in the first Vc and the second Vc.
So the idea is, as the executable method is generated in the Fc, so i have created a custom method to call the executable method in Fc, where the input parameter is getting passed and this custom method is finally getting called is the first Vc.
So , now my first Vc is ready to call the custom method in Fc and execute the RFC. Once the RFC is executed, the nodes in the Fc should get populated which is the ideal case.
And as the Fc is used as a component in the second Vc, the same node is available to the UI elements.
But, when I check the record size for the output node, it is always zero, for the second Vc.

  • How to pass a parameter to a bounded task flow?

    Hi,
We are facing issue while passing parameter from a bounded task flow to another bounded task flow and then showing the passed parameter in a jspx page.
We have a caller task flow with following component:
    1. A jspx page
    - In this jspx we have a text box have its value as #{pageFlowScope.inputvalue}.
    - Also we have a command button which has its "Action" as the control flow that leads to the "called" task flow.
    2. A bounded task flow named "called".
So, we call the "called" task flow on the button click in the jspx page.
Also, in called taskflow we have a jspx page where we are using a output label to show the parameter passed from caller task flow to the called task flow.
We performed the following steps to set the parameter passing from caller task flow to the called task flow.
    1. Select the input text component on the JSF page.
    2. In the Property Inspector, enter a value for the input text component. You can specify the value as an EL expression, for example #{pageFlowScope.inputValue}.
    3. In the Application Navigator, double-click the name of the called task flow to open its diagram.
    4. Click the Overview tab for the called task flow.
    5. Click Parameters and expand the Input Parameter Definition node.
    6. Click the Add icon next to Input Parameter Definition.
    7. In the Name field, enter a name for the parameter, for example, inputParm1.
    8. In the Value field, enter an EL expression where the parameter value is stored and referenced, for example, #{pageFlowScope.inputValue}.
    9. In the Class field, enter a Java class for the input parameter definition. If you leave the Class field empty, its value is by default implicitly set to java.lang.String.
    10. In the editor, open the diagram for the calling task flow.
    11. In the Application Navigator, drag the called ADF bounded task flow and drop it on top of the task flow call activity that is located on the calling task flow. Dropping a bounded task flow on top of a task flow call activity in a diagram automatically creates a task flow reference to the bounded task flow.
    12. In the Property Inspector for the task flow call activity, click Parameters and expand the Input Parameters section.
    13. Enter a name that identifies the input parameter.
    14. Enter a parameter value, for example, #{pageFlowScope.parm1}.
Now when we try to fetch the value of parameter using #{pageFlowScope.parm1} in the jspx in called taskflow, its not giving the desired value.
We even tried to set the to and from parameter of the jspx in called askflow. But no success.
Can anyone let us know if we are doing smething wrong or exact steps to configure passing of parameters to a bounded task flow and retrieving it in a jspx page will also help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Tushar,
In step# 14, the value should be "#{pageFlowScope.inputValue}" (should be the same as the value in step#2) .

  • Automatic creation of BW data flow documentation

    Dear Gurus,
I need to write documentation of the data flow of a huge project which I haven't implemented by myself.
The documentation should contain a mapping of the objects in the dataprovider, towards objects in the source system(s).
Eventually with the info in which dataproviders the objects are included, e.g. between the multiprovider and the source system.
Details of transformations can be ignored; eventually mentioning there's a routine involved, but that's the maximum.
With the data repository, I can have the content of cubes in a graphical overview, but it doesn't really provide me useful information.
You can imagine I prefer an automatic way to create this documentation.
Anybody who knows a solution, even if it only provides part of the purpose?
Any solution via query, standard SAP or customized program, ...
Recommendations would be very highly appreciated!
    Thx & Rgds, sam

Worldwide documentation is made on SAP BW projects, but no reply on automatic documentation.
A lot of time must be lost by manually creating documentation on mapping objects to source system fields.
==> SAP, please, work out a solution.
I didn't find a satisfying solution, but I've done it the following way:
List all objects for a multiprovider via the meta data repository, and paste in excel document.
Then listing all objects for the underlying dataproviders, and paste in separate sheets of this excel.
Compare the objects of the MP with the objects on the other sheets using excel functions, and sign when a dataprovider contains a certain object.
For the datasources, I checked if an object is present, and if yes, give the original source field.
This in summary as a not optimal and not complete solution, but it prevents making mistakes.
    Rgds. sam
