FM for Products releated to a Category

Hi All,
Can anyone of you tell me the Function Module to retrieve the list of Products if a Product Category is specified, like in that what we search in COMMPR01 transaction.

Here is the FM for Product category assignment:
COM_PRODCAT_SETTYPE_BY_CAT
You will have to pass Category ID and guid which you can get from following table .
This table also has the Product category assignment:
COMM_PRPRDCATR

    Hello Experts,
    I got a requirment to make a new entry in below SPRO path.
    Define G/L Account for Product Category and Account Assignment Category
    *Individual entries cannot be put into the change request*
    *Message no. SV141*
    *Diagnosis*
    *For technical reasons, the entries cannot be fully specified in the change request. There are two possible reasons for this:*
    *1. The key of an entry is longer than 120 characters. All entries whose keys match up to character 119, are then copied into the change request, rather than an individual entry.*
    *2. The key of an entry contains fields of special data types, for example, packed numbers. The key can only be specified in the change request up to the first such field from the left.*
    *all entries whose keys match up to character 26 are copied into the change request, rather than a single entry.*
    *System Response*
    *The selected entry is copied into the change request correctly, but other entries may be copied as well.*
    My question is, If I make one entry and move to Quality and production system will it move only one entry or whole table will move?

    I got the same message trying to make an entry in SPRO:
    Define Backend System for Product Category
    I found the note 305942 describing exactly the issue for my and above mentioned entry, which offers the correction, then the note 326802 which offers the correction of the first notes. However, both notes are for Releases 4.6C and D (from 2000), and we are using EHP2 FOR SAP SRM 7.0.
    I see another discussions in SCN regarding this topic, but haven't found real solution yet. Any hints? At least the answer to previous question from Sharan would be appreciated.

    I am creating a GOA with 2 items, one for product category and one for normal item, but an error occur 'No condition price exist for item 1', someone knows if it's normal?
    As a know there is no conditions for product categories.

      I am assuming you are getting that error on Product Category line.
    No, you need not provide any conditions for Product Category items.
    Do you see any conditions populated for that item? Try deleting the item and adding back.
    In IMG, do you have 'Activate Grouping logic for Locations in GOA?'

  • Defining G/L Account for product category and account assignment category

    We are using the standard configuration to default in a G/L account for a given product category and account assignment category combination.  This works well for us when it comes to the shopping transactions (i.e. BBPSC01, BBPSC02, etc.), however we have a problem with this logic in the carry out sourcing transction BBPSOCO01.  Our users are creating describe requirements which are then delivered to BBPSOCO01, however the user is not assigning the correct product category, so the sourcing department updates the cart with the correct product category.  Upon doing so, the G/L account gets changed to whatever the V_BBP_DET_ACCT table determines is correct for that given product category/account assignment combination.  We would like to know if their is a way to not fire the "default G/L account determination" when the shopping cart is changed in transaction BBPSOCO01.  I already know about the BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT BADI but thought there might be a less expensive alternative.  Our business treats the G/L account provided by the configuration as a guideline, therefore when the buyer changes the product category they also want to retain the account assignment information.  Any suggesstions on how this might be accomplished outside of creating my own logic in the BADI?

  • Error Message - Invalid Parent Category for product

    Hi Campaign Experts,
    I am getting error message "Invalid Parent Category for product" in campaign when I am trying to assign a service product to campaign. Even I tried assigning sales product and also assigning at campaign element level, but the error always appears.
    On the campaign screen in CRM 7.0 webUI, it allows me to search product and displays the product during search but raise error when I select the product.
    Any suggestions?

    Just maintain Product hierarchy in :
    SPRO->Customer Relationship Management->Account Planning->Product Assignments->Assign Product Hierarchies
    Here you maintain Product hierarchy which has been used in your Product which you are trying to enter in Campaign.

    Kindly check the webdnpro component  /SAPSRM/WDC_SH_PRODCAT.
    This compoent is called for F4 help of product category.
    You can modify the  search help by enchancing it.
    If you want to  change the logic then in method ONACTIONDO_START you can add post exit.

    I tried to perform the "define item category determination" activity, but the problem is that the possible entries for "Item category groups" and "Item usage" are different in the two systems:
    for example in R/3 I find some entries with Item Category group = LEIH (returnable packaging),
    when i try to insert this Item category group in CRM i press f4 to see possible entries but Ican't find the value LEIH.
    how is it possible?

  • Obtain Category-ID for product/Material.

    I would like to know how I can obtain the Category-ID for the product/Material. One of our Functional people have mentioned the field 'COML_PROD_CAT-ACTEGORY-ID' as the field to use, but as this references a structure it's not a great deal of use. Ideally I need either a table that I can read, or maybe an FM that's does the job for me and returns the Category-ID for a given product.
    Anyone ?.

    If u prefer use a FM, u can use this: <b>COM_PROD_CAT_REL_READ_WITH_PR</b>
    If u want to obtain only one record u have to set in the select the hierarchy_guid.
    For example:
      select single CATEGORY_ID from COMM_PRPRDCATR
      into my_category
      where PRODUCT_GUID = my_guid
      and HIERARCHY_GUID = my_hierarchy.
    Where
    my_hierarchy
    is the guid of the hierarchy u use. U can get from the table <b>COMM_HIERARCHY</b>.

    Hi Lilan,
    Profit Centre's Data element is PRCTR. You can just press Where used button by going into SE11 and see in what scenario you need this field.
    Because PRCTR field is maintained for Sales Order, Production Order tables and many other tables.
    You need to look into ur requirement that what scenrio u are working in.

    I thought the document contained an explanation of remote key mapping. Obviously it doesn't, sorry.
    Setting up remote key mapping is a bit complicated.
    First of all go to the MDM console and check your product category field in the main table (catalog items). Is key mapping set to "yes"?
    then go to the data manager and switch to the table containing the product categories in record mode. Right click on any entry and check the remote key data. Are remote keys available for your product categories. I assume that there are no remote keys available - this is the reason the system behaves as you describe it.
    Setting up remote keys for existing product categories AFAIK can only be done manually in Data Manager. Alternatively you can delete your hierarchy and create it once more, creating remote keys for every entry in the table. You can chose any remote system, it just has to be the same all the time.
    In import manager you have to clode the code field of your product category (basically the material group number) and assign it once to the product category in MDM and once to the remote key.
    Be sure to check your configuration in MDM Import Manager, the entry "Do not update record matching field value" needs to be set to no. Otherwise no remote keys are created.
    Now you can import your categories creating your hierarchy, as usual. The remote keys are created automatically.
    You should assign remote keys to all fields that should be matched in a similar way, UOM, currency etc.

  • Custom layout for product list view

    Hi all,
    Can I create a template .tpl that is assigned only to either the product detail or list view?......or has any created a workaround for this below?
    I want to display a list of products in a particular category, with a sub-menu down the left hand side of the page, but the detail view of the individual product to be across the full page width. I have several categories each with it's own sub-menu ( for the side).
    I currently have a few templates, containing the various side menus, formatted to display as I need, but of course, this layout gets assigned also to the detail view, which is what I don't want.
    Would be great to see other ideas.

    Do you have any info on when this might be happening? Hoping to have this site completed in 2 weeks. Best workaround option atm is to have separate pages ( with their custom side menus) with individually tagged products displayed. The detail view for the product can then have the full width view. - Bit of a long winded way around, but I don't see any other option if this is the desired result.

    When i tried to make confirmation for Production Order through CO15 transaction , i receive the following error message “ Production scheduling profile for production order type 10 does not exist – SAP Message No.10085 “
    In Work Scheduling view, Production Scheduling Profile is maintained as per OPKP only.
    How to check whether production scheduling profile is maintained for relevant order type 10.
    To do this , i went to OPKP & KOT2_OPA transactions but i don’t know how to check. I guide me through with a screen shot.
    Also, pls explain about  “Order Type 10” and how it is linked with material and order execution.
    Looking for a detailed explanation with screen shots , since i am new to SAP.

    Please check the order type dependent parameter in OPL8 here you will get the Substitute Scheduler
    Then go to OPCH and check valid production scheduling profile assign here as per OPKP to your production scheduler for your plant.
    Production order have Order category as 10  Process Order  40 in standard SAP you can check this in OPJH.

    If you set the cursor on 'BSI' field and push F1 you'll get an explanation about the meaning of each category.
    '"<i>1" pick list item
    This materials are picked according to the required quantity specified in the production order.
    '2': Crate or kanban parts
    These materials are always removed from the warehouse in full cases. These can be ordered, for example, as soon as a case of needed parts is emptied in production.
    '3': Release order parts
    Release order parts are scheduled individually and the quantities are supplied manually to replenishment storage bins based on the requirements of production orders and the stock levels in the scheduled production supply areas.
    "0" not relevant to WM-PP
    These materials are not relevant for WM production supply and cannot be requested using the WM system.</i>'
    For instance:
    You can set raw materials / SFG as pick parts if warehouse workers have to collect those parts from high racks (from different places) and they have to provide an exact qty for the PrdOrd.
    We use '4' (manual staging) for huge alu rolls that are near the machine and WH workers have nothing to do with it - the operators, who deal with the machine, have to put the new rolls on it.
    When we issue the PrdOrd the requirements of this material won't appear in LB10 since WH has nothing to do with them.
    'Storage bin' filed will contain a value automatically, if your settings are proper.
    E.g. you have to define the default 'stock removal' & 'stock placement' storage type on WM view of material master.
    Additionally you have to define control cycles for materials you use for your production. (LPK1)
    The control cycle says from which storage type & bin you want to consume the components.
