I need a FM that can take a internal table for list of programs and return their description.

Test exact exception messages in java SE with locale for program handling

My problem is test the exact exceptions returned by JAVA Standard Engine for program handling.
I work in systems usually set to "Italian Locale" and the result is different in different platforms.
When I work in MSWindows with Java almost messages are in English but not all, for example IOException "Cannot assign requested address" in the Italian Locale is "Indirizzo richiesto non valido nel proprio contesto" but other messages like "Socket Closed" remain "Socket Closed".
Catch the exact exception through description is not a good idea but I don't found other way for Java SE native exceptions!
In Solaris I try to set English LANG environment in the user context and it works.
In MS Windows I try to set the definition in start java with:
*"java -Duser.language=en -Duser.region=US"*
and in the code I try to add the statement:
Locale.setDefault(Locale.US);
but without results.
Is there anybody that has the same problem?
Is there a better way to catch the exact type of Java SE exceptions ?

Incorrect spelling in program descriptions on channel guide

I just wanted to point out that the plural form of a noun does not use an apostrophe. Possessive nouns, and contractions, use an apostrophe--as follows: It's (contraction of "it is" or, in this case, "it has") been standard in the program descriptions lately. If that plural word, "descriptions," was in the program guide, it would have been spelled "description's." You could use the possessive case and say, that program description's punctuation is incorrect!
Using correct spelling and punctuation indicates a degree of competence and knowledge that incorrect usage of English does not. For this reason, I feel compelled to bring this to your attention.

Further, the mark "--" after "apostrophe" is non-standard and essentially an improvisation on your part. If it indeed stands in for the dash punctuation, it's also incorrect in this example. The sentence requires no dash.

How to prevent error message for material description in MDG material detail screen, when user click on check action

Dear Experts,
I have a requirement for making material description as non mandetory in change request view of mdg material screen.
I have done that using field usage in get data method of feeder classes, but still message is displaying.
This message 'Material description is mandatory is displaying with check action only, but not with save or submit after i anhance field property as not mandetory.
How to prevent error message for material description in MDG material detail screen, when user click on check action.

Hello Sukumar
In IMG activity "Configure Properties of Change Request Step", you can completely deactivate the reuse area checks (but will then loose all other checks of the backend business logic as well).
You can also set the error severity of the checks from Error to Warning (per CR type, not per check).
Or you provide a default value for the material description, e.g. by implementing the BAdI USMD_RULE_SERVICE.

I don't think you can realize it, because in SAP system there are 6 influncing factors:
Material Type
Plant
Industry sector
Transaction
Procurement indicator
SAP Delivery
Field selection is controlled by field references. You can assign field references to the influencing factors material type, plant, and industry sector in Customizing. SAP maintains the assignment of the field reference to the transaction codes, to the procurement types, and for the SAP delivery. You cannot change this assignment of these field references in Customizing.
So from my point of view, you can't use the factors of material type, plant and industry sector to distinguish different users' authorization.

This computer is no longer authorized for programs on "my iphone"...

Since I did the last update to iphone os 3.0 I cant synchronize my phone to my computer anymore. When I try to download apps to the phone from the computer or the other way, Itunes says "This computer is nolonger authorized for programs installed on your iphone"... and when I authorize Itunes says "This computer is already authorized", "including this one, you have authorized one computer out of your available 5"... and nothing happends... What is wrong? I get crazy over this. I can't get my programs from my computer to the phone and not the other way around. But I can still download programs directly to the phone. Please help me!

I bought an iphone used from a co-worker who moved into an area that AT&T did not have coverage. It was a bear getting all the info changed to my accounts, particularly the itunes account.
For quite a while I could buy from the itunes store on my computer and it worked fine, but if I tried to purchase from the app store on my phone it would not recognize my password. Sometimes it would show my email address as the itunes account and sometimes it would show her email address.
Eventually it seemed to sort itself out and I am free and clear of her info. I don't know if there is some cache or restored database in the itunes store that was pulling old info back into play, but time seemed to cure it...

In Table PRPS, alread you have short description field POST1 and POSTU for the WBS element, apart from that still if you want to include a feild for your own requirement , then create a structure and with the description field of your requirement and append that structure into PRPS table.

ABAP Dump GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED_RANGE for program /SDF/CL_EM_DUMP_COLLECTOR=====CP

I am getting ABAP runtime error GETWA_NOT_ASSIGNED_RANGE every 10 minutes in my ECC Production system. This dump is occurring for program /SDF/CL_EM_DUMP_COLLECTOR=====CP with short text as "Field symbol is not assigned".
Error Analysis:
"A field symbol that was not assigned was accessed
(data segment no. "-1").
The field symbol is no longer assigned because there was an attempt
makde previously in a Unicode program to set the field symbol using
ASSIGN with offset and/or length specification. Here, the memory
addressed by the offset/length specification was not within the
allowed area."
Information on where terminated:
"Termination occurred in the ABAP program "/SDF/CL_EM_DUMP_COLLECTOR=====CP" -
 in "GET_FIELDTABLE".
 The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".

What process or transaction you are executing, when you got this dump, please share the detail.
In SAP there so many areas where we can have this ABAP dump, please also share the snap shot in ST22 " How to Correct" part of dump which carries the exact program name e.g. in below snapshot program name, short text, etc is given to search SAP note.
Please also refer to the following sap notes:

The TADIR entry for Program name is missing in ABAP report

Hi,
I created an User group , Infoset & ABAP query, generated a report with the help of ABAP Query.
However when I did the extended syntax check for the same i got the fatal error.
"The TADIR entry for <Program name> is missing
(Message cannot be hidden using comment)"
Could you please let me know why the above error is being given & how we can remove the same.

Moved to ABAP General, thanks for pointing this out. In the future you can use the yellow triangle on the top right of each message to report such cases, they will be taken care of.

I have acquired windows office 2011 for my macbook but unable to open it. There are currently 3 files in the folder, 1 of which seems to be the actual program which is a hfs file. iv tried looking for programs to help me open it but failed

Well, first, just make sure it's the Mac version and not the Windows version (which indeed would not run on your Mac). You say "Windows Office" which is why I mention it. I think you probably just mean "Microsoft Office" though.
Next, is this on a disk (DVD), or did you purchase and download it from the Microsoft site?

i would like to buy a new Mac notebook, however i cant decide at all on whether to get Air or Pro. i would like to use the notebook for programming purposes. i would bascially be developing IOS and Android Apps as well as some python and ruby. so which one of them in general would be better for me? which can take a lot of work on it and still be efficient?

Which macbook is the best for programming?

Ive been doing some research but I cant really figure out what to get. Ill be using it mainly for programming (Python etc.), some minor photoshop and some basic web use. Im positive I want a 13 inch screen but thats really all there is to it. I love the design of the air but Im not sure if itd be able to handle what I want it to do? Itll be my first Macbook so Im not sure what other specifications to really look at!
