FM to create selections

Hi.
I have a query where there is a structure in the rows with 2 selections created manually in Query Designer.
I need FM to create rest of selections from abap, because count of selections to be created will be very large.

Hi,
I don't know if exist the FM that you need, but one solution is try to create a charateristic that do this selection, like if a = 1, b = 2, charaterictic is A or something similar.
Is not he same, and probably is not the best solution ...

Go to SE36
Select "Selections"
Change
Create a new version like:
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF VERSION 904 TEXT-904.
SELECTION-SCREEN EXCLUDE PARAMETERS: KD_STIDA.
SELECTION-SCREEN EXCLUDE SELECT-OPTIONS: KD_GJAHR, KD_BUDAT, KD_AUGDT,
KD_ZUONR, KD_UMSKZ.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF VERSION 904.

Steps to get SELECT-OPTIONS in module pool programs.
<li>. Start one dialog program with SAPZ_TEST.
<li>. Place the below code in the TOP include of the dialog program.
PROGRAM SAPMZ_TEST.
TABLES mara.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 2100 AS SUBSCREEN.
SELECT-OPTIONS: matnr FOR mara-matnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 2100.
<li>. Create one screen 2000 .
<li>. Go to Layout of the screen and Define subscreen area on the screen and Name it as g_subscreen.
<li>. Place the below code in the Flow logic of the screen.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
CALL SUBSCREEN g_subscreen INCLUDING 'SAPMZ_TEST' '2100'.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
CALL SUBSCREEN g_subscreen.
<li>. Activate all.
<li>. Create Transaction code for the dialog program SAPZ_TEST.
<li>. Execute the transaction code. You will see the select-option like we see on Selection-screen.

There is no SAP standard way of creating select options on screen.However you can create your own select options by providing two fields on screen in which maximum and minimum values can be entered.
screen fields :
input1 : <minimum value>
input2 : <maximum value>
data :
range for <some field>
then you can fill a range with these values.For eg.
range-low = <low value input field>.
range-sign = 'I'.
range-option = 'BT'.
range-high = <high value input field>.
append range.
*Now write your select statement.
select * from <some table> where <field> in <range>

How to create Selection texts in a generated program

1. The Important thing is
NAME of the screen element.
eg. name is XYZ.
then we can access it in program like this :
%_XYZ_%_app_%-text = 'Hello Sir'.
(Please note the FORMAT - Its important)
3. try this code (just copy paste in new program)

There are Two ways to achieve it...
1) How to create a select-options in a module pool screen.
Method 1
a) Create a subscreen area in your screen layout where you want to create the select options.
b) In the top include of your module pool program declare a selection screen as a subscreen e.g.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 100 AS SUBSCREEN.
select-options s_matnr for mara-matnr.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN.
c) In the PBO and PAI of the main screen where the select options needs to be created do a call subscreen of the above screen (100).
CALL SUBCREEN sub_area INCLUDING <program> <screen>
This call subscreen statement is necessary for transport of values between screen and program.
Note: All validations of the selection screen fields e.g. the s_matnr field created above should be done in selection screen events like AT SELECTION-SCREEN etc and not in PAI. These selection screen validations etc should be done in the top include only.
Method 2
a) Create 2 separate fields in your screen layout - one for the low value and one for the high value. Insert an icon beside the high value which will call the multiple selections popup screen on user command. Use function module COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG to achieve this.

Read the very first entry of the range table and pass it to
dynpro screen field
READ TABLE rng_kunnr INDEX 1.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
g_cust = rng_kunnr-low.
ENDIF.
You can use the return table rng_kunnr to populate your own internal range table with the values entered by the user. Basically here you are just simulating the work of a select-options parameter by module pool screen elements.

I created this anonymous Pl/SQL function at a application level ..Then I followed up to create a select list with a function inside. However I could not create select list with the command suggested in the demo which is
select getcrops(cropid) d, cropid r from crop;
APEX (2.1) returns a error message. What am I missing ? Should the function be called from somewhere else after creating a regular select list..? Where the functions (Pl/SQL) should be ideally stored for application level access..? and for across application level access ? How can I check the function works good. Help is appreciated.

Creating Selection List Dynamically or Through Code

Has anyone created Selection Lists for Excel or Analyzer Dynamically Through Code? We have lists that could change quite often and would like to automate the process.

Different methods for different situations. If you are just concerned about capturing newly added descendants/children of a dimension, it may be best to always begin the query at the appropriate parent level, then zooming/drilling to list all children/descendants at the time the query is run. Assigning attributes is another way to achieve this, assuming all the members which you wish to capture are similar in nature (eg. flavor, size, product category, etc.). After creating the attribute dimensions and assigning them to base dimensions, simply adding the attribute to the query dynamically filter the values returned. You can also drill/zoom on the attribute dimension in the query to view detail lists of the individual members which match.

User Defined field in UDT - how to create select from existing data

Hi
I want to create User Defined Table for purpose of storing records of sales visits made to customers.
I want to record detail for example: Date of Visit; Sales Employee; Activity number ref (which has attached PDF visit report); Related Opps)
I am not sure exact detail as I have never created User Defined Table before so I am not sure how best to achieve my requirement.
But I want one of the fields to be Business Partner code.
My question is How should I set the BP field so that available options are existing Business Partner codes?
I would like to set field so that if I enter for example:
"CAQ"... and I click Tab key then SAP will bring list of BP Codes which begin with CAQ (eg. CAQU001; CAQF001 etc) for my selection.
Is this possible?

u can create a user defined table enter your values..by creating columns like..
Customercode, customer name, vitst time, attachnment.
but
"CAQ"... and I click Tab key then SAP will bring list of BP Codes which begin with CAQ (eg. CAQU001; CAQF001 etc) for my selection.
above one u can not do it..
all the cutomer codes will come if u use coding........are u can filter as per ur requirement
else
if u say i am not using the coding..
u can get all the business master codes... but u have to use fms u have to put it..otherwise u can not do it...

Hi,
Simple Parameters or Selec-options statements will suffice.
Eg : Parameters : p_matnr type mara-matnr.
select-options : s_matnr for mara-matnr.
In selection screen, you may have selec-options, parameters, check boxes, radio buttons etc.
