FM to update value into texts

Hi All!
In VLO2N transaction under header --> Texts in which text elements are configured by the functional teams to enter texts corresponding to the delivery details.The info into these texts are generally updated manually.Is there any FM/BAPI to update these text elements through programs.
Please advise...

I am assuming u have popupcalendar.js and stylesheets.
Include the javascript in your jsp.
<script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/popcalendar.js"/>
and call the method popUpCalendar on some event like onclick as shown below.

<object to be populated> u can give it like this for your text box. U can define an id attribute for your text box and call document.getElementById("<id name>")

Dynamically update values in Text Lists for typed measures

Hi,
We have an alpha-numeric data column in our fact table. This is a data coulmn and we want to store its content as data value in one of the measures. The value in this column is highly dynamic and it is not restricted to a fixed set of values. To store the values we need to use typed measures, but is there way in which I can define the text list itself dynamically? Meaning, we will build the text list dynamically as and when the data comes in the fact table. Is this possible. We are using 11.1.2.1.

I don't think we have a MaxL (I can be worng) to update Text Lists. You can try creating .slt file dynamically and then manually import them before data load.
.slt will have entries like
#MISSING NoData
#OUTOFRANGE OutOfRange
3 Bad
2 Average
1 Good

How to find the select statement has written all selected values into text

Hi,
I am using form6i. i am selecting a set of values from database tables based upon some user parameters and writing into the text file using Text_io.put_line . In this case how we can make sure that the text fille contains all the data what we are selected from selected statement. somebody told that there might be chances of aborting of data while writing into the text file. is there any way to fild out the selected statements has written all the selected fields and corresponding output into the .txt file.
Please suggest me.

If you want to verify if the number of records (lines) in the file matches the number of records from the cursor, you could re-open the written file in read-mode and count the number of lines by reading one by one, then compare the number of lines with the number of records from the cursor.

Update value into DataAction

Hi,
I have a Company table which contains an Account amount value. I need to add to this amount a new amount from an input text.
All is ok, I searched the Company then filled the new amount.
My question is: when click on Submit and launch the onSubmit event how to add the new amount to the old one and where.
Do I need to override processUpdateModel() method to put into the binding field the new amount?
If yes how?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to get peoplepicker multiple value in text box.
You can set the default value of the text box to:
eval(eval(Person, 'concat(pc:DisplayName, "; ")'), "..")
Or change XPath (advanced) to
xdMath:Eval(xdMath:Eval(../my:group/pc:Person, 'concat(pc:DisplayName, "; ")'), "..")

I have to insert or update or multiple values into a single records of diff fields from one to another table.
Table1 has 3 fields
Barcode bardate bartime
0011 01-02-10 0815
0022 01-02-10 0820
0011 01-02-10 1130
0022 01-02-10 1145
0011 01-02-10 1230
0022 01-02-10 1235
0011 01-02-10 1645
0022 01-02-10 1650
these are the times that comes in at 0815 and goes break at 1130 and comes in at 1230 and goes home at 1645
from these table i have to insert into another table called table2
and the fields are barcode, date,timein intrin,introut,tiomout
And the output want to like this

Example:
I have a database about dogs. When user completes form they make a selection from a recordset feed drop down box of breeds. Lets say they select "PUG" based on the selection two fields are populated from the same recordset size="small" and color="brown".

Writing the hashtable content (both keys and values) into a text file

Properties is a subclass of Hashtable. It'll probably work just fine as a drop-in replacement.
Otherwise...if all keys and values are text, then loop through the Entry objects in the Map in question (Hashtable is a Map, and you probably shouldn't be using Hashtable anyway), or loop through the keys and grab the corresponding value for the keys. Read the API docs for java.util.Map. It's pretty straightforward.

Spaces removed when inserting a value into a text item

I have a databased function returning a string of characters (varchar2). This value can have spaces at its end.
When I put this value into a text item in Forms, the spaces at the end are removed.
How can I avoid that ?
