FOP Error

Hi All
I am working on a ISU project and I have recently found a defect in a FOP, the FOP is for Move in Force out. The problem I am facing is when closing the Read In out, the owner is Moved out using Force Move In/Out the new tenant moves in fine, but when I go to close the Read In/out on the new tenants account it picks up the move out document of the tenant which was before the Owner.
Has anybody faced a similar problem ? I would be greatful if any one can help me on this issue.
Thanks
Ishvinder

No need to seperate the conversion.
I managed to get it working by using the following code before I start the conversion:
System.setProperty("javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory","org.apache.xalan.processor.TransformerFactoryImpl");
Thanks for the reply.

  • Named Column FOP Error

    I am trying to generate PDF reports using a named column template.
    APEX 4.1, using the APEX-supplied FOP.war deployed on Glassfish 4.
    I am using a Report Query - Report Layout.
    Whenever I use a generic report template, all works fine.
    When I use a named column report generated with Stylus Studio. I get this error (from the server.log):

    Hello Mike,
    Thanks for that but .. I had followed that paper exactly. When it gets to the "...make some fomrattign changes ..." part, the doc is not very specific. While I have yet to prove this out ( I have an APEX Listener, APEX 4.2 instance as well), I believe my template was incorrect no matter which APEX version (4.1 vs 4.2) or using the APEX Listener vs Glassfish deployment - the problem was indeed with my template.
    The main issue blocking PDF generation was the fact that in my template, I did not have column-width's assigned to my <fo:table-column ...> directives.   When I use Stylus Studio, the default post-processor is RenderX.XEP, not Apache FOP.  Apache FOP has more limitations .. or the RenderX post-processing is more advanced, however you want look at it.  Stylus Studio
    Once I got the column-width's defined, I had to go step by step in adding additional features to the template, paying particular attention to Apache FOP documentation and  Known Issues.  Switching the post-processor to Apache FOP in the Stylus Studio Scenario properties helps, but does not catch everything.
    I am plugging along .. my latest learning experience is that the nice XPath that works in Stylus Studio does not directly translate to Apache FOP ...I need to implement same using XSLT.
    Fun with FOP!
    Back to Mike's point of using the APEX Listener and APEX 4.2 .. if I could, I would, but we cannot upgrade until next year sometime, so I've got to work with what I've got. For kicks, when I have time, I'll compare results between APEX 4.1 APEX-supplied FOP.war and the APEX 4.2 APEX-supplied FOP.war, to see the differences. It's still Apache FOP, so there may be someimprovements, but I sitll expect to need to stick to strict Apache FOP and XLST 1.0, which is clearly stated.

  • Fop error with xsql correct version?

    Hi;
    I have been running xsql 9.0.1.0.0 in websphere3.5 on novell, and I think it is really excellent. I am now trying to get fop output and included the fop0_16_0 fop and w3c jar files. I receive an error when trying to run of no such method, orgw3c.dom.node,get namespace. Have I got the correct fop files, or what am I doing wrong. Thanks.

    Hi Steven;
    I have checked he versions, all the files came from the xdk java 9.0.1.0.0.zip file.I have xsu12 xmlparserv2 and oraclexsql.jar in the classpath. Looking again at the notes they specify FOPhome/fop.jar. Is the FOPhome tag relevent? All I have done is add the fop.jar and w3c.jar files into the classpath.Thanks.

  • Application import falls over

    I'm using Portal 3.0.6.6.5 on 8.1.7 on Solaris. I'm trying to move my applications from development to a newly installed test environment.
    I've read the Import/Export pdf and have followed the order of exports/imports there.
    At the point where I run appimp.csh for my application, after the application and several of the components have been installed I get an error in sqlplus:
    SP2-0642: SQL*Plus internal error state 2167, context 4294967294:2:0
    Unable to proceed
    SP2-0642: SQL*Plus internal error state 2167, context 4294967294:2:0
    Unable to proceed
    SP2-0642: SQL*Plus internal error state 2167, context 4294967294:2:0
    Unable to proceedAnd a core dump.
    When this first happened I tried running it again and I got a different set of errors:
    ...Importing component: ID = 4281806043 Name = CANCEL_USER_FORM Owner = HAC_SCREENS Type = FOP
    *** ERROR ***
    wwa_api_component.save: Component 4281806043/HAC_SCREENS/CANCEL_USER_FORM already exists

    ORA-00001: unique constraint (PORTAL30.WWV_MODULES$_PK) violated
    ORA-06512: at line 363This happened again and again and every time earlier in the process.
    I then tried deleting the application but discovered that deleting the application doesn't remove the components! You then end up with components you can't get to in GUI, even though they exist in WWV_MODULES$ and still cause duplicate key errors during the import. (I now delete each component before I delete the application and that seems to clear them out ok, but I can't get to those original components in the GUI.)
    I have successfully exported and imported another smaller application (though the page that displays the components as portlets is still not working properly). So I must have understood the process to some degree to get that far. But the big application that I really want to get going defeats me.
    My latest strategy was to remove the "duplicate" components from my import sql script and just try to get the other components imported. That worked fine until I hit

    SP2-0642: SQL*Plus internal error state 2167, context 4294967294:2:0
    Unable to proceedagain.
    Using import has NOT gone smoothly. I've had a couple of very frustrating days and would appreciate some help.
    Maybe the size of my application is the problem. Here's some file details:
    $ grep 'Name' hac_screens*.orig | wc -l
    136
    rubicon:/export/home/bcugc/portal/export
    $ wc -l hac_screens*.orig
    36570 hac_screens_application.origThankyou
    null

    I wonder if anyone has read my first post.
    Here's an update. I've copied my development application to another application in development. I imported that new application into test successfully while it only had a few components.
    Now I'm importing each additional component separately. This is painful, but it was working ok until I struck the original problem again while importing a single component.

  • Error while configuring apache FOP for printing

    Dear All,
    I have a requirement to print a report using custom layout.
    I have installed apex 4.2 by configuring embedded PL/SQL gateway. I used the link:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E37097_01/doc/install.42/e35123/overview.htm#CJABBFIH
    And for printing purpose I am installing apache FOP. I have installed oc4j in standalone mode. I followed the link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/configure-printing-093060.html
    But after setting oc4jadmin password, I am getting following error

    Seems like the Java EE container is looking for the Java compiler. Try installing the Java Development Kit (JDK) and respecify your JAVA_HOME accordingly. HTH.

  • FOP PDF Printing Fails with 500 Internal Server Error in APEX 4.1

    Hi,
    We have Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.5 (Apache + J2ee) installation in our environment. I configured Apache FOP for Apex 4.1 running on Oracle 11.2.0.1 database using" Section 5 - Installing and Configuring Apache FOP - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/application-express/configure-printing-093060.html document". I am getting "500 Internal Server Error
    Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details."
    Do I need to configure Apache FOP only using Standalone OC4J containers as mentioned in the document instead of using j2ee containers installed as part of OAS 10.1.3.5 install? If so, any idea why this restriction?
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Lavanya

    Thanks Hussein for your response.
    Do you have proper entry in the hosts file?I do have the correct entries in both host and guest OS. As I mentioned, I'm able to ping in command prompt both linux guest (DNS) name and ip address. It is just the login page load. It could be not just R12...may be any other web page as well...
    I don;t know how these DNS Server name is resolved and so on..this networking stuff in windows 7...it may be irrelevant to this forum...but chancing my luck if someone had this issue in the past.
    I believe the main issue with the ping, so once this is fixed you should be able to access the application (assuming it is up and you can access from other machine -- If I understand you correctly, I believe you did from XP).Yes..the same config works fine in XP.

    Small update again,
    I skipped using the downloadable oc4j/j2ee and tried using the one that came with 10.2.0.1 installation (patched to 10.2.0.3)
    It starts up fine saying:
    07/03/28 21:31:27 Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (9.0.4.1.0) initialized
    It started up all well with the downloadable latest containers too, but got different errors running the apex_fop.jsp file.
    well with the version that came with the database it says in the PDF file after I tried to generate it from a report:
    Error 500:
    java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file
    Anyone got any idea?

  • XSQL-022 error on using FOP - serializer class not found; urgent!

    Hi all,
    currently using XDK 9.2.0.1.0. On trying to invoke Apache FOP serializer I just get the following error message:
    XSQL-022: Cannot load serializer class oracle.xml.xsql.serializers.fopserializer
    and I really don't know why....
    Running XSQL Servlet within Tomcat 4 Engine, but error pops up using both, Tomcat way and/or just the commandline invoker xsql.bat.
    Generally XSQL Servlet is working correctly.
    My classpath setting contains:
    xmlparserv2.jar; batik.jar; classes12.jar; fop.jar; fopserializer.jar; oraclexsql.jar; sax2.jar; xalan-2.0.0.jar; xalanj1compat.jar; xerces-1.2.3.jar; xschema.jar; XSQLConfig.jar; xsu12.jar
    The serializer being redefined in XSQLConfig is just:
    <serializer>
    <name>FOP203</name>
    <class>oracle.xml.xsql.serializers.fopserializer</class>
    </serializer>
    This is because of using FOP 0.20.3, so having my own serializer class due to API change in FOP 0.20.x; my fopserializer is looking like that:
    package oracle.xml.xsql.serializers;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import java.io.PrintWriter;
    import oracle.xml.xsql.*;
    import org.apache.fop.messaging.MessageHandler;
    import org.apache.fop.apps.*;
    import java.io.*;
    // FOP 0.20.3 Serializer implementation for XSQL
    public class fopserializer implements XSQLDocumentSerializer
    private static final String PDFMIME="application/pdf";
    public void serialize(Document doc, XSQLPageRequest req) throws Throwable
    try
    Driver FOPDriver = new Driver();
    FOPDriver.setRenderer(FOPDriver.RENDER_PDF);
    MessageHandler.setOutputMethod(MessageHandler.NONE);
    FOPDriver.setupDefaultMappings();
    req.setContentType(PDFMIME);
    FOPDriver.setOutputStream(req.getOutputStream());
    FOPDriver.render(doc);
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    In my XSQL file I'm using the following PI:
    <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="listemps.fo" serializer="FOP203"?>
    Any suggestions what is wrong in here ?
    Can't use the original xsqlserializer.jar either - same error.
    Thanks in advance
    Jochen

    Hi Jochen,
    I'm working with Tomcat 4.0.3, FOP 20.0.3 and XDK 9.2.0.1.0, too.
    I've copied all the jar-files into tomcat/common/lib. I think that you can't use the MessageHandler in fop20.0.3. I'm using the following serializer:

    public void serialize(Document doc, XSQLPageRequest env) throws Throwable {
    try {
    // Open user config file
    File userConfigFile = new File(CONFPATH);
    Options options = new Options(userConfigFile);
    // First make sure we can load the driver
    Driver FOPDriver = new Driver();
    // Setup logging
    Hierarchy hierarchy = Hierarchy.getDefaultHierarchy();
    PatternFormatter formatter = new PatternFormatter("[%{priority}]: %{message}\n%{throwable}" );
    LogTarget target = null;
    target = new StreamTarget(System.out, formatter);
    hierarchy.setDefaultLogTarget(target);
    Logger log = hierarchy.getLoggerFor("fop");
    log.setPriority(Priority.INFO);
    FOPDriver.setLogger(log);
    // Then set the content type before getting the reader/
    env.setContentType(PDFMIME);
    FOPDriver.setRenderer(FOPDriver.RENDER_PDF);
    FOPDriver.setOutputStream(env.getOutputStream());
    FOPDriver.render(doc);
    catch (Exception e) {
    // Cannot write PDF output for the error anyway.
    // So maybe this stack trace will be useful info
    e.printStackTrace(System.err);
    Hope this helps

  • Error with FOP for Report Printing in Apex 3.2.1

    We are trying to use FOP deployed onto GlassFish Community but after setting up as described in the applicaton express guide to allow report printing; we are getting the following error
    'package oracle.xml.parser.v2' does not exist
    We are running GlassFish on Debian 5.0 (Lenny)
    Any help appericated :)

    Here is what I did to get it to work.
    1. Copy xmlparserv2.jar from my ORACLE_HOME/oc4j/lib directory to my glassfish domains/domain1/applications/fop/WEB-INF/lib directory.
    2. Added the following two lines to the glassfish domains/domain1/fop/apex_fop.jsp before the driver.run() line
    out.clear();
    out = pageContext.pushBody();The second part of solution I found on another forum page.

  • Apache-fop classloading error ....

    HI,
    I am deploying a big EAR in WL 6.1 on solaris and I am bundling FOP 1.20.3
    within it, I am
    also including avalon 4.0 and logkit 1.0 jars within it as they are needed by
    fop.jar. Whenever I
    try to construct a "Driver()" class I get a NoClassDefFoundError on the org.apache.framework.logger.Loggable
    interface that it needs. The strange thing is that when I do the following :
    try {
    ClassLoader cl = this.getClass().getClassLoader();
    cl.loadClass("org.apache.avalon.framework.logger.Loggable"); // .........this
    works OK
    // the following .... fails with NoClassDefFoundError on Loggable
    org.apache.fop.apps.Driver d = new org.apache.fop.apps.Driver();
    } catch (Throwable t) {
    cat.error("failed:", t);
    It DOES work when I put the necessary jars on the server startup class path,
    however it would obviously be
    better to be able to bundle the 3rd party jars within my EAR ....... I know this
    seems like it would be a general
    weblogic classloader question - but I have had no problems with any other 3rd
    party jars that are similar to
    this one.
    Has anyone else had these kinds of problems ?
    Cheers,
    Brian.

    I have a similar problem, I tried to package the fop library with an ear also. I think it has to do with System properties. The fop library loads it's parser class from a system property, the class it finds is a weblogic library and that's when the problem begins. I was never able to solve this, but hope this gives you starting point. Keep us abreast of your findings.

  • Error:org.apache.fop.apps.FOPException: Content is not allowed in prolog

    Hi,
    Anyone can tell me why am I getting this error while converting html file to XSl:FO
    Also, I am not able to completely convert my html to XSL:FO..some of the tags like <meta>, <DOCTYPE>,<BR>,<IMG> etc...are not getting converted to the corresponding XSL:FO tags...
    Is there a xhtml-to-xslfo.xml stylesheet which takes care of completely transforming a html to xsl:fo..
    I need to convert html files to PDF files on the fly..and I am using xalan.jar latest version
    Please advice me on the best way to convert htmls to PDF..using xsl:fo transformation.
    Thanks,Ravi

  • FOP PDF Printing error

    I just started working with APEX last week, but I noticed that if I try to print a PDF SQL report that contains a SQL function ie. COUNT() or with a variable, I receive the "not a supported file type" error. Basic SQL reports print to PDF just fine. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    I was able to figure out what was causing the error. The column aliases in the SQL needed to be specified, the pdf generator didn't use the custom headings in the report attributes.

  • Error oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedNoClassDefFoundError when using fop?

    Hallo,
    i want to use fop in my project.
    Doing this i've got:
    XML-25017 ...
    oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedNoClassDefFoundError:
    Missing class: org.apache.fop.apps.Driver
    Dependent class: oracle.xml.xsql.serializerse.XSQLFOPSerializer
    Loader: adf.oracle.domain:10.1.3.1
    Code-Source: /opt/jdev101310/lib/xsqlserializers.jar
    Configuration: /home/asmus/jdevhome101310/system/oracle.j2ee.10.1.3.39.84/embedded-oc4j/config/server.xml
    The missing class is available from the following locations:
    /opt/jdev101310/fop-0.20.5/fop.jar
    I don't know to which place i must put the fop.jar that the system is finding it. I test some things but nothing works.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Reiasmus,
    Have you added the fop.jar as a library to your project (JPR) - double-click the jpr, choose libraries....
    I've forgotten to to this in the past myself...
