I've just updated on my Ipod touch 5. I have forgotten the pass code. How do I get out of this mess, please?

I am stuck in an App with Guided Access and have forgotten pass code? Help!

I have forgotten pass code for Guided Access and can not get of the App? I don't know what to do next? I have tried resetting by holding Home button and on/off for 10 seconds. What now?

If you continue to be unable to guess the passcode by brute force attempts, you can connect the device to a computer that has synced the device and unlock things with a sync.
If you have never synced with iTunes then you can try this:
1.Hold the Lock Button
2.Slide the Slide To Power Off slider [If touch is disabled/you're unable to slide it, do a hard reset — hold the lock and home button until the Apple Logo appears]
3.When your iDevices powers up, immediately exit the app that automatically opens.
4.Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access
5.Click Set Passcode
6.Enter new password
7.Reboot again.
8.Wait for the app to automatically open and Triple tap the home button
9.Enter the new password

Restrictions is turned on but I can't get into it because I don't remember pass code? Have no idea what is or is not restricted.

The only way to remove a restrictions passcode is to save as much of your data as possible (import your photos and videos to your computer, back up your calendar and contacts, sync your phone with iTunes to transfer your purchases, etc.), and then restore the phone as a new iPhone without using your backup.

I Have an iPad Air & iPhone 4s both running iOS 7.1.2, & iPod touch running iOS 6.1. I changed pass code on iPad, & I had assumed that because Apple pushes any changes to all your devices, that the new pass code would be the same for phone & iPod (I've done it before). This time, only ipad & iPhone have new pass code, but iPod has been disabled due to me trying to sign in. I keep having to retry every 30 min. How can I fix this without restoring iPod?

Wait for 30 minutes and try again.
If you previously synced to the computer then you may be able to recover use of the iPod without erasing the iPod by following the instructions here:

If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, read this.

The 3 apps required updating but they have frozen. Did not realise this until Candy Crush froze. Went to reset and it asked for pass code. I entered standard code and it stated one failed attempt. I may be over 70 years of age but have not forgotten pass code!! I hope that the solution is simple!!

If your iPad was used by another person in the past, it may be asking for their passcode.
If your iPad has been synced with a computer before, restoring with your computer should fix it now.

The only way is to connect the iPod to a computer with has an internet connection and iTunes and restore the iPod. Use as friiend's computer or make an appointment at ther Geniuds Bar of an Apple store.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

1. iTunes 10 for Mac- Update and restore software on iPod, iPhone, or iPad
2. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
3. iOS- Understanding passcodes
     If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
     below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
     simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
     same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it.
