Form and search history is disabled- can you tell me why this is and give me some simple steps to fixing it?I've tried reading forums and support to no avail :(
For some reason, when I try and click on form and search history under the clear history tab it's greyed out (all of the other options for clearing history are available)
I don't seem to be able to find any answers to WHY this is (which I would like to know) and also I've tried to follow instructions (factory reset firefox, restart computer etc) but for some reason it doesn't make any difference and I really don't know what to do. I'm not particularly tech savvy so any help would be really really appreciated
This happens if there is no form history to clear (you probably already cleared it).
Is saving form history enabled?

Firefox won't save new form data if you are in Private Browsing mode.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

There is only one solution. You will have to restore your iPad via your computer in iTunes. Do not restore from backup as you can't remember your password. You'll have to restore as a new device and resync everything all over again. Next time, write your password down for future reference.

Several times I've downloaded an album from iTunes to find that not all of the tracks were fully downloaded so that some of the tracks will skip to the next one (instead of finishing the song). Can anyone tell me why this happens and how I can fix it?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.) -
HI there can you tell me why none of my music will play on itunes it just displays a message saying it cannot be located please help it is driving me nuts
JanAbout 5 days ago for no apparent reason at all, about
7000 songs which i have collected over a number of
years has just decided that it wont play in ITUNES or
in any other of my media players. When you click on
Play over a song nothing happens. The play icon
doesnt even come up on the screen.
Steps I have taken so far are:
1 - Remove all tracks from ITUNES and then re-add the
folder where all the songs are. This has obviously
removed all songs, but when I have re-added the
folder , it has added about 650 tracks back on to the
playlist. These 650 tracks will play. This leaves
approx 6400 tracks that it wont play.
By the way all the songs on my PC are MP3 type and I
have had no problem playing any of them until last
week.
2 - I have re-installed ITUNES and reinstalled
Quicktime and that has not worked.
3 - All of my songs are backed up on to a External
Hard Drive. I have tried to restore the songs and
also play them directly from the external hard drive.
I get the same problem when I do this.
4 - I have enabled and allowed all permissions for
the account that I am running the PC from.
I am guessing there must be some settnig or Registry
Key that is blocking me playing the tracks from the
PC. I have also tried to launch the songs in Media
Player and Sonic stage but thsi has not played
either.
All the tracks are in the folder structure as they
were before so I know they are there. I just need to
somehow unlock them.......
If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful as
I dont want to lose my entire music collection.
Also I cannot find anyweher on here that is a Support
number or email address for Apple as this is an
ITUNES issue and they should be resolving it for
me!!!!

If it's not formatted as ExFAT then how did the photos get onto the card ? If you copied them onto it yourself then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them -

You question is garbled. Are you saying your iPad cannot connect to a laptop with Snow Leopard? Restart your computer. Start iTunes and check for updates. If there are any updates to itunes download and install it. Then restart your computer and start iTunes.
Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart.
Finally connect your iPad to your computer. Use a USB on your computer that is not on the keyboard or connected to a hub.
If you do these things and it still doesn't show up in iTunes on your computer report back here and explain clearly just what happened. -

If you are using Firefox 3.6.6 version, open Tools > Options >> Advanced - Network
The under Connections hit the Settings button - then select '''No proxy''' at the top of those settings. Restart Firefox and you should be all set.

And offcourse that I delete my files and documents is not an Iweb problem, but because my English is not that good, that I thougt I try to tell the whole story, and hope people can read trough the lines.
Why I didn't use Iweb to upload to the server is because the server company recommanded to use file zilla. And I am a nobody with this kind of things, so I did exactly what they tell me to do.
No, i did not make a backup of Iweb and the domain file, but reading other messages on this forum showed me that I can maybe try to make empty the cashfile (?)
and otherwise I have bad luck and have to make my website again. Offcourse I have a lot of examples from all the pages (copied from the local map to my USB stick) and my website is aprox. 15 Mb, (not so big) so it will cost me a few nigths.
But I'm still hoping on a miracle :-)

When I switch libraries I "lose" the majority of the material in my main library (or at least I can't see it) and can only restore it by repairing the database. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how I can resolve the problem? Thanks
I seem to have found a way around it. Rather than switching libraries by going into files/switch libraries I used Aperture Preferences to change them. I've done it a couple of times and it appears to work OK.
That is an interesting finding. It suggests, that your "Preferences" file "com.apple.Aperture.plist" may have been corrupted and you fixed it this way. Can you now switch between libraries the usual way? If not, I'd try to remove the "preferences" file from the user library to the Desktop and relaunch Aperture.

Most of the time I get The Connection Was Reset. Can someone tell me why this happens?
When I click on Firefox or when browsing or going from one site to the other I get "The connection was reset" then have to click on Try Again.
Can someone tell me why this is happening?

THE CONNECTION WAS RESET again this morning. I even get this message when I click on the Firefox Icon to get on the net. When for example I download something then it returns me to their site I get The Connection Was Reset. When I uninstall a program and it sends to to their site in order to answer as to why I am uninstalling their program then I get The Connection Was Reset.
Every time this happens I have to click on Try Again and find this to be annoying.
This does not happen once or twice a week, it happen ALL THE TIME.
This morning I went to Safe Mode and followed the instructions on INTERRUPTED OR RESET CONNECTION which tells us what to do but this did not work either.
Would be great if someone was able to let me know what to do in order to prevent this message appearing all the time.Do not know how to delete this reply. I replied instead of editing my question. I have edited the above now.
