Framed-Ip-Address missing in Access-Request & Acct-Start messages

We have a Cisco 7206(IOS12.2(33)) equipment associated with freeRadius server2.1.10.  Upon PPPOE client start, dynamic IP is assigned from the IP-Pool to the PPPOE client. However this IP address, is not included in the Frame-IP-Address AVP sent in the Access-Request or Acct-Start message from the NAS. It is sent only in Acct-Update or Acct-Stop messages though,  I have enabled this AVP inclusion with the NAS command, radius-server attribute 8 include-in-access-req
Also i have attached the configuration used in NAS for your reference. Request to provide your inputs to get this resolved at the earliest.
Appreciate your inputs.
thanks,
Raj

It worked well, after adding "aaa accounting delay-start" to the conf file.
thanks,
Raj

  • Framed-IP-Address in RADIUS Access Request for WLC web-auth users

We have a web-auth WLAN (with 7.6.130.0 software on a 2504 WLC) configured to authenticate users through RADIUS. The Framed-IP-Address attribute, representing the client device's IP address is sent in the Accounting Request, as expected. However, this information should be available at the WLC before sending the RADIUS Access Request, since the device is already having an IP address.
So is there a way to configure the WLC to send the Framed-IP-Address attribute in the RADIUS Access Request as well?

    Hi ,
    Try using:
    aaa accounting delay-start

  • User details are missing in Access request in GRC 10.0

    Hello All,
When we are trying to create Access request in GRC 10.0 for an user it results as user  details not found.
Under SPRO - Maintain data source configuration we have configured 2 HR systems HR1 and HR2.
But the User details exits in HR1 system and lies in validity also. We have tried to run the Repository Object Sync also still unable to search the details.
But we observed even after the Sync job User details are not created in table GRACUSER and GRACUSERCONN. Is this could be the problem. Why its not updating even after the Sync job many times almost 10 times.
We have also configured parameter 5023 to YES.Please advise.
    Thanks in advance.

Did the sequence for HR1 set to 1 or 2, I hope you are following the suggestions given by Luciana in other thread.
Please post your data source config screenshots otherwise.

  • Font size of address list when accessed from a new message...

Ok, here's the issue, a friend of mine has trouble reading the rather small display size of the address list when accessed from within mail (the small quick box that appears). I can't seem to find how to make it larger anywhere. There is a setting from within Address Book, but this changes the display size just for when you access it directly, and not from within mail. Any ideas peeps?
    Ta xx

the only changes you can make with regards to viewing/selecting font size and style are in mail>preferences>fonts & colors.
    hope this helps

  • SharePoint 2013 - Site Settings - Users and permissions - "Access Request and invitations" link missing

I am site collection administrator and have configured the outgoing email in Central administration but "Access Request and invitations" link  is missing, pl advice any additional configurations for this link to show up
I was though able to configure access requests by going to Site Settings->Users and permission and on the ribbon selected "Access Request Settings"
What is the difference in either of the approaches?
    Thanks
    Abhishek

    Hi there,
I noticed this post, and didnt really find an appropriate solution to your issue. I noticed the same issue when dealing with Access Requests. First of all to make sure that the Request feature is enabled, you need to access
Site Settings -> Site Permissions -> Access Request Settings -> Make sure the
'Allow access requests' option is enabled.
The Allow access screen just allows you to enable the feature and also to specify a email address that notifications are sent to. Whereas the 'Access Requests and Invitations' section provides a screen to manage Access Requests and request history.
I noticed then that the Access Requests and Invitations link under 'User and Permissions' didnt actually appear until someone actually requests to join the site. It seems that this is needed to display the screen. Once actioned once, the option stays there.
    Hope it helps

  • Missing AVP 29 VSA 23 in the Radius Access-Request sent by ASA 5545-X 8.6

    Hello,
    we are migrating from ASA 5520 Version 8.4(3) to ASA 5545-X Version 8.6(1)2 with the same configuration ;
    we are stuck with a Radius authentication problem related to an ASA clientless ASA access ;
    when we compare the Radius dialog between each ASA (the old one and the new one) and the same Radius ACS 5.3 server, we can see that the only difference is there is a missing AVP 29 VSA 23 in the Radius Access-Request sent by the new ASA-5545-X compared to the good one sent   by the old ASA 5520;
    this AVP 29 VSA 23 carries the tunnel-group name as defined in the ASA configurtion ;
5545-X ad 5520 configuration files have been double-checked and compared : no difference between both files
any help would be appreciated to diagnose this problem
    thanks in advance

    This problem was solved by upgrading the 5545-X from version 8.6(1)2 to version 9.1.2;
    nothing else changed

  • Mail for Access Request to O365 SharePoint site not received if a mail-enabled Distribution Lists' email address is provided.

I have the Access Request feature enabled in my O365 SharePoint site. This functionality is working fine for a single Site Owner's Email-ID and he is receiving the mail in his Outlook with an option to Approve/Deny the request. But when I specify the Email-ID
of a Distribution List (which consists of all the site owners), the mail is not sent to their respective members although the corresponding request is listed under the Pending Requests in the Access Requests list in Site Settings. Why is this happening and
if this not possible, kindly suggest a workaround.

can you specify the DL name instead of the email?

  • L2TP and fixed Framed IP Address for VPN user

    Hi,
I have a running L2TP/IPsec VPN setup with authentification against a radius server (freeradius2 witch mysql). I would like to have some of my VPN users get a fixed IP address instead of the dynamically assigned IP Pool.
The radius server is returning the correct parameters, I think.
I hope someone can help me.

  • AP 1252 in autonomous mode not sending framed-ip-address

I was attempting to use the Websense RADIUS Agent to transparently map wireless users in it's database. This is done by passing the RADIUS accounting packets through the websense server where Websense can read them and map the username and password. This works for our Cisco VPN clients and Anyconnect clients. The problem I have is that the 1252 AP does not send the framed-ip-address in the RADIUS accounting packet. The AP should know the client IP since it can be seen with "show dot11 association".
For whatever reason, the AP doesn't know the IP address. This is verified by enabling aaa acounting delay-start which delays the sending accounting packets until the peer IP is known. With this command in, no accounting packets are ever sent from the AP.
Does anyone know why the AP doesn't include the framed-ip-address in the accounting packets? Or, why the AP is not able to learn the peer IP address from the client association information?
    Thanks,
    Mark

For a session to be disconnected, the values in one or more of the key fields in the POD request must match the values for a session on one of the network access server ports. Which values must match depends on the auth-type attribute defined in the command. If noauth-type is specified, all four values must match. If no match is found, all connections remain intact and an error response is returned. The key fields are as follows:
    User-Name
    Framed-IP-Address
    Session-Id
    Server-Key

  • Vpn-framed-ip-address not working with anyconnect

Hi Folks, please help me to verify if this case is a bug or a "not valid scenario".
    Scenario:
ASA 5520, OS 9.1, SSL VPN with Anyconnect v3.x, static ip address for the client, and RSA token authentication (all the users/pin/passwords are in the RSA server, not in the ASA, but i need to create some users in the ASA in order to apply the vpn-framed-ip-address attribute for specific users).
In fact the anyconnect ssl vpn with RSA auth works fine, the ssl connection works, the user is authenticated, the anyconnect works, traffic passing,  BUT.. the anyconnect its getting an ip address from the ip local pool INSTEAD of the static ip defined with the  vpn-framed-ip-address command.
I'm trying to assign a static ip address for a user (defined locally on the ASA) that performs auth via RSA (aaa-server), by using the  vpn-framed-ip-address  command as an attribute for this local user. But it seems the command is not working.
Already I´ve tried to resolve (with no success) by entering the
    no vpn-addr-assign aaa
    no vpn-addr-assign dhcp
    vpn-addr-assign local
Also i´ve tried by removing the pool from tunnel-group in order to force all the connection session to use the static ip address, but in this case, the anyconnect sends a message "No Address Available for SVC Connection".  Meaning the ASA simply is ignoring the  vpn-framed-ip-address command.
Its supposed the ASA implement the policies in this order, DAP > User policy > UserGrp policy > ConnProfile > DefGrpPolicy, and according to this, the vpn-framed-ip-address command should take effect first since its specified as User policy, overriding everything else. But its not working.
At this point i think the issue is... since the user is locally defined but its password its being authenticated via RSA (not local), the user attributes (static ip) are being ignored by the ASA because its not expecting to receive an ip address from the aaa server (RSA), so jumps to the next policies falling to the pool. Anyway the user policies attributes SHOULD work according to cisco.
Please your advise, or tell if its a bug? or a not valid scenario for this command to work with the ASA.

  • ARQ: Default Role Provisioning Problem in Access Request???

    Hi,
This Business Scenario is very common to have default role(s) assigned to a User at the back end system. So I have the same requirement. In achieving this, I followed below thread here:
    MSMP Issue - GRC 10
I have also followed the note#1616092  for configuring the Default Roles.
    I have performed below activities:
    1. Param#2009 = YES
    2. Param#2010 = 001
    3. Param#2011 = REQUEST
    4. Param#2013 = SYSTEM
    5. Param#2038 = YES
    6. Imported a test role and NO ROLE OWNER is maintained.
    7.In NWBC->-AM->RM, I maintained a test role as a default.
Now when I raise a request, application is successfully adding the default role to the request. However, the problem I am facing is that, one Manager approves the request, it is getting failed.
The Audit Log says that, the STAGE is "Completed" but I could also see "No Agent Found, Cancelling path XYZ (in stage no. 002- GRAC_ROLEOWNER)
May I know what I am missing here? Why I am getting error and how can I resolve it?
    Please advise.
    Regards,
    Faisal

    Hi Faisal,
sorry for late resposne I was away traveling.
default roles are being added by default to access request
Yes, these roles are added to the access request.
    FN: OK
and this roles are following your normal paths which I guess assumes manager and role owner.
How such roles (not having role owner) will follow the normal path Manager->Role Owner if we are enabling routing (Rule ID: GRAC_MSMP_ROUTE_NO_ROLEOWNER) at manager stage level? Can you please help me understand this?
FN: OK If you enable routing it will go to routing path. I have understood your post as you put in question the behavior of default roles and my point was - they act exacly the same like regular roles.
    - request is going to detour path
    Does it answer my question?
FN: My point was default roles like all other will go to detur path (assuming you setup it globaly)
Deafault roles can have separate path (in my case) where only supervisor is approving it.
Instead of "GRAC_MSMP_ROUTE_NO_ROLEOWNER"  I believe we can have our own rule to have a separate path for such default roles based upon business requirement. Correct me, if required.
    FN; correct
It was design in way that initiator rule based on role crtivality is sending this rule to separate path without role owner.
Again, I believe you have enabled your custom rule here to achieve your business requirement instead standard rule id.
    correct
If you do not have separate path - this role like any other will follow standard path you have.
Here, I had used a stage called "ZNO_STAGE_PATH" for routing the system line item, which does not have any owner. I used the same path ID for "GRAC_MSMP_ROUTE_NO_ROLEOWNER"Rule ID and it is working fine as of now.
    FN: good
My question is that, do you think if I don't use "ZNO_STAGE_PATH" as Path ID for "GRAC_MSMP_ROUTE_NO_ROLEOWNER" Rule ID, should it follow the standard Manager->Role Owner path and these default roles get approved and assigned automatically?
FN: You should use the path ZNO_STAGE_PATH as path ID for routing rule.
If the role does not have role owner it will not allow you the even get to Role Onwer stage - request will be detured.
My point from the begining was - instead of using the routing rule - in our case we used separate path for default roles without role owner:) only consisted with manager stage. Again your approach is different but also will work.
Then which Path ID should I use for "GRAC_MSMP_ROUTE_NO_ROLEOWNER" Rule ID, as it is mandatory?
Should I use my current path for New/Change Account where at Manager level this was routed due to non availability of role owner?
Are you asking for default roles?
    Please advise.

    Faisal

  • PD Profile / Structural Authorization in Access Request - 10.1

Hi - We are upgrading from 5.3 to 10.1 SP6.  We are not migrating.  In 5.3 we provisioned PD profiles directly to a user in OOSB.
I'm having issues with our PD Profile showing up in my access request search.  Here's what I have done.
    Business Role Management
    - I created a "PD Profile" against my ECC "Landscape".  The "Project Release" is Production.  The Additonal Details -->Provisioning has my ECC system and allows for provisioning.  The "Current Phase" is Complete.
When a search for the PD profile using "Role Type" PD Profile in Access Management-->Role Management-->Role Search, my PD profile appears.
When I go to create an access request and I go to Add --> Role the "Select Roles" search screen appears.  I search by Role Type = PD Profile and nothing shows up.  I try to search by the actual PD Profile Name with no other selections and nothing shows up.  All my composite and single roles show up in my searches.
When I go into table "GRACPDPROFILES", I see the PD Profile I created.  Field AC_REF_ROLE_ID contains a long string.  It has an updated date of when I created it.
Any idea on what other setting I may be missing to make the PD profile available to select in an access request?
We'll continue to do direct assignment within OOSB and not indirectly via the position.
    Thanks,
    Rich
