Freehand 10 and tiles ?

Hello, I've been experiencing lot of trouble when I try to
print my document 1120 mm x 810 mm to a TANTO 90 negative printer
(Japanese model), the printer doesn't accept the TILES that fill
some of my objects, If I want to do tiles manualy it will cost me
lot of my time, specialy that I have more than 8 big Jobs with the
same tile problem.
Please is there any way to print my tiles without losing my
document boundaries or without having this problem.
TANTO 90 gives me this message (Shortened):
your document size is 3974.8 and the film size is 3973.98
also same other line for width.
I tried to reduce the size of document to less points but no
benifits.

> When printing, are you using a PPD for that printer?
> I don't know, .
First read the FreeHand Help files on the topic of printing.
I assume you have scaling set to Uniform/100%.
A PPD is a 'PostScript Printer Description' file that must be
installed and
available to a Postscript printer. (On Mac OS X the PPD for
the printer is
chosen when you install a printer.) Do not use generic PPDs.
In the FH Print dialog you will see a checkbox 'Use PPD'. For
precision
Postscript printing, you must use the correct PPD for the
printer.

  • JSF 1.2 and Tiles integration

    I have a web application using JSF 1.1 and Tiles that I am trying to upgrade to run using JSF 1.2.
    It is working as far as working out that it should use the tile, but then it all seems to fall over when trying to render.
    Does anyone know if it is possible to use Tiles with JSF 1.2?
    Steven

    Hi,
    I took the Shales TileViewHandler and replaced the renderView method with the one below. This is a copy of the method from the Sun RI except that it passes the tile (ComponentDefinition) along to the subsequent methods.
    Then when it gets down to executePageToBuildView the requestURI is obtained from the tile (tile.getPath()) rather than from the UIViewRoot (viewToExecute.getViewId()).
       public void renderView(FacesContext facesContext, UIViewRoot viewToRender)
                                            throws IOException, FacesException {

    There were a couple of calls to ApplicationAssociate.responseRendered() which I just commented out as well (because they are not visible). They stop people changing the StateManager or ViewHandler after responses have been rendered. Probably not a problem since I will have replaced the ViewHandler anyway.

  • Using JSF and tiles

    Hi Friends,
    I'm trying to combine JSF and tiles as follows:
    Template file:
    <f:subview id="content">
    <tiles:insert attribute="content" flush="false"/>
    </f:subview>
    content file:
    <tiles:insert definition="userSpecific">
    <tiles:put name="content" type="string" >
    <h:outputText value="aaaa"/>
    </tiles:put>
    </tiles:insert>
    I get the following error when loading the content file:
    2007-06-20 10:14:10,578 [http-8080-Processor23] ERROR org.apache.myfaces.shared_impl.taglib.UIComponentTagUtils - Component javax.faces.component.UIViewRoot is no ValueHolder, cannot set value.
    I tried putting the template content in a verbatim tag and then it works
    but the content page is not displayed in correct place in the template...
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Are you dead set on using tiles? I can see tiles including JSF but JSF including tiles? Not sure if that will work.
    My suggestion is to use Trinidad. It has the concept of Regions which is very "tiles" like and you will be far more successful.

    What are the differences in Freehand 11 and Freehand

    > What are the differences in Freehand 11 and Freehand MX?
    None. MX was the marketing label for Macromedia's suite of
    web applications.
    There is a free updater that brings FH 11.0 to FH 11.0.2, the
    latest version
    available.

  • Clean URL in Struts and Tiles

    Hi,
    I was trying to implement an application which will have Clean URL. e.g. http://something/user/john in Struts. I mapped ActionServlet to / (and not *.do). Following is my web.xml entries:
    <servlet-mapping>
              <servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>*.css</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>
         <servlet-mapping>
              <servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>*.js</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>
         <servlet-mapping>
              <servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>*.png</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>
         <servlet-mapping>
              <servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>*.jpg</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>
         <servlet-mapping>
              <servlet-name>default</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>
         <!-- Default mapping to Struts action Servlet -->
         <servlet-mapping>
              <servlet-name>action</servlet-name>
              <url-pattern>/</url-pattern>
         </servlet-mapping>Hence for every URL entry like http://something/user my /user action config is called:
    <action path="/user"
                   type="myaction.UserAction">
                   <forward name="success" path="/User.jsp" />
                   <forward name="fail" path="/User.jsp" />
         </action>This works absolutely fine. But when I want to integrate tiles with this and change <forward> to:
    <forward name="success" path="/tiles.home" />It doesnt work. It tries to search tiles.home in struts-config.xml as an action. My tiles-config.xml is proper and I have an entry for tiles in my struts-config too.
    Has anybody ever tried to implement such an application with Clean URL and Tiles in Struts?

    Right so these where messages from the JSP compile or from the import process?

  • Freehand MX and Windows Vista????

    New to the forums,
    I have been using Freehand since it first came out and this
    past week I switched over to Windows Vista.
    I'm running Freehand MX and it works really great except for
    PRINTING!!!! I've tried everything I can think of, I even
    downloaded new print drivers(Vista update) for my HP LaserJet 5200.
    I can't get any printer to work.
    The error reads: Could not complete your request because read
    or write access has been denied, then the printer will print off an
    error sheet: Postscript error: syntaxerror Offending Command.
    Oh, I'm also trying to print through our network.
    If anyone has a simple fix to this problem PLEASE HELP!!!!!
    I'm trying to avoid switching to Illustrator CS4 which I also
    have and it runs great on Vista, printing works great too!
    Thanks,
    Indyrebel

    Unfortunately, this is Adobe's official response to FHMX on
    Vista:
    Does Adobe plan to provide an update to FreeHand MX that will
    support Microsoft Windows Vista?
    Adobe has no plans to deliver a FreeHand MX release that
    supports Microsoft® Windows® Vista™.
    CS4 Illustrator will open your FH file(s) however. You can
    print from there. (Personally, I use FHMX for ALL my illustration
    work and switch to CS3 for converting files or for printers needing
    native AI files from FH.)
    Indyrebel: If you haven't already, be sure to add your voice
    to the forum thread asking Adobe To Upgrade Freehand !

    Are you dead set on using tiles? I can see tiles including JSF but JSF including tiles? Not sure if that will work.
    My suggestion is to use Trinidad. It has the concept of Regions which is very "tiles" like and you will be far more successful.

  • Freehand 8 and 10 compatibility

    I have old documents made with Freehand 8 and Freehand 10.  Can I read those document directly with Illustrator or another program?

    You... can... try... That's all you are ever going to get out of anyone. How much of the data will be converted depends too much on the specifics of the documents and you have not provided any details on that. Some files work flawlessly, other files end up with large chunks missing. Either way, if you have specific issues, you should ask your questions in the AI forum when they arise. These kind of preemptive questions are otherwise unproductive and kinda like asking for an exact date for NASA's first manned Mars mission...

  • Send both Toast and Tile Notification simultaneously using Template feature of Notification Hub

    Hi, I am using WNS(Windows Notification Service) With Notification Hub to send Push Notifications to my WP 8.1 Application. I am basically sending localized notification using Template feature of Notification Hub. I have used Localized
    News example  reference for sending localized used.
    Here are my templates and how I am registering them, also How my Dictionary payloads look like :-
    Toast Template Method :-
    public static string GetToastText01Template(string param,string line1)
    return string.Format(@"<toast launch=""$({0})"">
    <visual>
    <binding template=""ToastText01"">
    <text id=""1"">$({1})</text>
    </binding>
    </visual>
    </toast>", param, line1);
    Tile Template Method :-
    public static string CreateSquare150_150BackgroundTextTemplateWns(string backText)
    return string.Format(@"<tile>
    <visual >
    <binding template=""TileSquarePeekImageAndText01"">
    <image id=""1"" src=""ms-appx:///ApplicationIcon_173_173.png"" alt=""alt text"" />
    <text id=""1"">$({0})</text>
    </binding>
    </visual>
    </tile>", backText);
    Registration With Notificaiton Hub (Part of Register Method basically) :-
    var toasttemplate = GetToastText01Template("NavigateToPageUri" ,GetToastCultureKey(culture));
    await _hubClient.CreateWindowsTemplateRegistrationAsync(ChannelUri, toasttemplate, tags);
    var tileTemplate = ToastFactory.CreateSquare150_150BackgroundTextTemplateWns(GetTileBackTextCultureKey(culture));
    await _hubClient.CreateWindowsTemplateRegistrationAsync(ChannelUri, tileTemplate, tags)
    Toast payload In terms of Dictionary :-
    Tile Payload Dictionary :-
    Note :- I have ensured that Keys for both the templates must be different during registering the templates so that both templates doesn't mix with each other.
    Problem :- When I am registering only one Template, doesn't matter Whether it is Toast or Tile, I am able to get the notification on my app successfully(Both of Toast and Tile ,individually, working fine). But When I register both of the
    Templates simultaneously or Individually, then none on them is working.
    Questions :-
    1) Can you let me know how basically Notification Hub select the Template from Payload Dictionary ? Like in case of two different registered templates.
    2) How can we send Two localized Notifications simultaneously using Template feature of Notification Hub?

    Hi Tanuj,
    Selection of template/registration always based on tags not based on payload keys.
    Just to explain, you have following two devices.
    device A - toast template,  tags: {"en-us", "toast"}
    device A - tile template , tags : {"en-us", "tile"}
    device B - toast template,  tags: {"en-fr", "toast"}
    device B - tile template , tags : {"en-fr", "tile"}
    If you call a method  SendTemplateNotificationAsync({“properties of template”}, “en-us”)) like this,  That will target the toast and tile both notifications to the device A.
    But if you just want to send the toast notification to device A, you have to call something like this,
    SendTemplateNotificationAsync({“properties of template”}, “en-us && toast”)). FYI Second parameter is a tag expression: Please refer following link to know more about tag expressions:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn530749.aspx
    To answer your second question, register template with language tag along with other tags (just like above example). Then when you are sending notification, include that tag in your tag expression.
    Example: SendTemplateNotificationAsync({“properties of template”}, “en-us && toast”)), this one send toast notifications to all “en-us” local devices.
    Thanks,
    Sateesh

  • Blank Page with JSF 1.1.01 RI and Tiles

    My web pages have been rendered without any problem using JSF 1.1 and Tiles with Weblogic 8.1 SP3. But it can't handle multiple forms within a page. So I upgraded JSF to version 1.1.01 RI. I only get blank pages since the upgrade.
    Does anybody have the same problem? Any help is appreciated.

    I have the same problem with Tomcat 5.5 and tried both 1.1.01 and 1.1.02. I used both JSF RI 1.0 and 1.1 with no problem on JSF with tiles, but because of the known bugs in 1.1 I had to use 1.1.01 or later which doesn't work nicely with tiles. Does anyone know how to fix this in Tomcat?

  • In my Itunes library label: My Music  albums content is missing even if I down loaded from a personal CD. I was trying to make up some playlists and the music is not there but the album title and tile is.anyone have any suggestions.

    I have a Dell Desktop Optiplex 380 with Windows 7 operating system. regarding use of I-Tunes library and making playlists from "My Music"I went to My Music clicked on the album tile to drag to the new playlist and all of the albums are empty. Like the tracks are labeled but not there There is a note to go to the store and buy each track for 0.99. These Albums have been in the system for several years. where are they, and what happens to them. Do I need to import again. which could be a pain
    Would appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks<

    anybody could help me? i dont know whats happening
    regards a lot

    first make sure you are using Tiles stand-alone (in Struts Sandbox)
    add the follwoing servlet to your web.xml
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>Tiles Servlet</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>org.apache.tiles.servlet.TilesServlet</servlet-class>
    <load-on-startup>1</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    add the following context-param to your web.xml
    <context-param>
    <param-name>tiles-definitions</param-name>
    <param-value>/WEB-INF/tiles.xml</param-value>
    </context-param>
    add the following to your faces-config.xml
    <view-handler>org.apache.shale.tiles.TilesViewHandler</view-handler>
    add the following dependency to your pom.xml
    <dependency>
    <groupId>org.apache.shale</groupId>
    <artifactId>shale-tiles</artifactId>
    <version>1.0.3</version>
    </dependency>
    that should be it.

  • Problem with Freehand eps and non english char

    HI, I'm new in this forum and newbie in Freehand
    I'm trying to make a eps file with Freehand. This eps is for faxcover, I make it and works fine, but the problem is when I want to use a special charcater, non englis, for example Ñ.
    Somebody knows how can I do to when I make the eps in Freehand permit special characters?
    Any idea?
    Thanks

    Special characters can't be done as FreeHand doesn't support unicode (extended letters with accents, etc)

  • JSF 2.0 and Tiles with Struts and Tomahawk libs.

    I have set up an example application that extends tiles. The issue I'm seeing is that although the tiles are all rendering, the ui: tags are not rendering as html, e.g. I see ui:html, ui:head, ui:form, etc.
    Has anyone else seen this, and how did you get around it?
    Thanks,
    w

    You could define an instance Y in the same scope as 'x' and then inject it into 'x' as a managed property. This is probably dead simple using annotations. It wouldn't be hard with the XML either, just verbose.
    If you really want it to be magical, you could create an implementation of javax.el.ELResolver that creates intermediate properties when you need them. Perhaps one already exists; perhaps the Stripes code has one.
