Freezes uup when trying to do other sites, such as health site, wont let me click.

I go over to Facebook, and can not interact, or try to go to Farmville, or Farmtown, and cant get in. Try to go to Ancestry.com, and Im not allowed, wont set up page.

system details are incorrect.... i am using FF4.0.1 as on the about firefox tab

Dreamweaver CS6 hangs when trying to access an SFTP site - or at least I think that SFTP could be the reason.
Beachball forever....
It works fine when trying to access other sites.
The one addity is that when I go into "Manage Sites" and test it, it connects fine.
I am running OSX 10.8.2. I upgraded from 10.7 to see if this problem would go away.

When CS6 first released, some people experienced problems with the FTP feature. A critical update was released which addressed these issues. Did you install it?

Based on the error message, please check whether you have installed the spPowerPivot.msi add-in on each of your SharePoint server, and ran the configuration wizard, make sure that the powerpivotwebapplicationsolution.wsp
is deployed correctly.

Just recently I am getting the following error message when trying to access web sites. I am using Firefox browser version 10.0.2. I get a pop up window stating "Exc in ev handl: TypeError: c.location is null" as the web site page is being displayed in browser winder. Then I have to click ok. It doesn't matter what web link/site I go to it happens. It is an issue with some plug-in?

I have advised McAfee's product team of the problem and this thread, and they're looking into it now.

While uploading to ftp if you are putting a '/' in the root directory, then please remove it and try again.

ACCESS DENIED when trying to use custom site template to create new Subsite

I am trying to create a new site using a custom template. I am the new admin here at the company. Other also are having "access denied" errors when trying to create the site using these custom templates.
However I can still create a site using the out of the box templates. I have given myself site collection admin (primary) and I am a farm administrator as well. Any ideas on why I keep getting access denied to specific templates?
The entire site collection is using the custom template. When I try to create a new site under the site collection with a custom template now, it says "access denied". Any ideas?

Note - I am able to use the Custom Site Templates in the test environment without any issues. Only in the production/live environment am I getting the access denied error.

I am not finding anything that comes up in the ULS logs about the access denied. I tried creating the site in the test environment using the custom template and it worked. I go to the production environment and try to create the site with the same template
and get "error:access denied - current user domain\user" I checked in the ULS logs as soon as the access denied appears (pretty quickly after pressing create) and there is nothing at that specific time. This is a huge problem, is there any way to
work around or fix this? I'm a new admin.

that's usually due to a plug-in over-riding Safari's built-in pdf support.
Quit any browsers & remove any 'pdf...' plugins from either of these folders

A brief and probably non-helpful answer: I know of no way to eliminate your large amount of duplicates other than by repetitive, tedious manual effort.
*There has got to be a simpler way.*

Try holding the Capslock key with the letter you want to be capitalized. It should work.

What happens when you change your address in your iTunes account? You also have to have a payment method associated with the USA, For example gift cards are restricted to the country of their purchase.

Home sharing wont let me click the import button when I try to import songs from one computer to another.

I can see the import button but it wont let me click on it.

The above article did not help me, I was having the same issue. The import button was "greyed out". But this article did help...mostly:

I successfully moved my music from my old computer running Windows XP to a laptop running Windows 7. I could never get the import button to be "active" but I randomly tried selecting all the music I could view from my old computer on the new computer using Home Sharing and dragging it to Library on the new computer. It immediately starting copying the files, and then, and only then, the Import button became "active" i.e. not greyed out. But I did not need to click on it at that point because the files were being copied to the Library of the new computer.
I then followed the article I mention above to get my playlists transferred as well. All is good after a very frustrating morning of research. There are many posts on forums about the "greyed out" issue; none of the answers I could find worked for me. This did. 3,000 songs and all in their proper playlists!

Safari freezes when trying to logon to sites

Safari and/or Google Chrome locks up when I go to a site and try to login with a user name & PW.
Here is an example:
When signing into Apple support I type my username (which is an email address), and then when I erither tab to get to the password box or click to get to the pw box the whole system freezes. I cannot typr into the box, I cannot move the browser window or minimize it, or click on a dock item or anything.
The only way out of it is:
1.     Wait - sometimes up to 3 minutes for the system to act normally and allow me to put in password and move on.
2.     Press the power on/off button momentarily, until this show up, then press cancel and I can then (sometimes but, not always), proceed.
3. When all else fails, shut down, and even that sometimes won't happen so I'll press and hold the on/off button until it does shut down.
This is a MB Pro (see details at end of post), with a 3-day old clean install of Lion. I first installed Snow Leopard (deleted partition then created a new one), then did the upgrade to Lion.
Anyone know what this could be? Any help would be appreciated.

Create a new User go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > "+" (make it an admin acct) and test the apps in this new account, if they work the problem is isolated to your User and not systemwide.
If the issue is limited to your user account try starting up in Safe Mode (It will take more time to startup because it runs a directory check.)
If your apps functions correctly that way, go to System Preferences >> Accounts >> Login Items and remove them. Boot normally and test. If not go to/Users/yourname/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items. Lastly, try moving/Users/yourname/Library/Fonts to your desktop.
* Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library"
Log out/in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.
