FRM-10043 Cannot open file: for large fmb files

We are using Forms 6i Patch 12
We are getting FRM-10043 in Forms Builder when the size of the FMB becomes greater than 1 Mb.
We have to revert to previous version and re-start coding till the error re-appears.
We have reached 4 Mb like this. Now, we are getting the same error at 4.4 Mb.
The size of this FMB may go upto 5 to 10 Mb.
So, we need a definite solution as otherwise it will be difficult to maintain this form.
The only check that we have regarding if the FMB is still usable is: Save the file and try to convert to FMT file. If successful, so far it has not failed to get reconverted to FMB and it gets opened too.

You can cut the fmb size in half by saving without the useless compiled code Oracle always stuffs into them. All you do is, just before saving, use the pull-down menu: Program, Find and Replace PL/SQL..., select your form, and change all semicolons to semocolons (;). Then save the form without compiling. This practice cleans up various problems in our forms here. Please report whether or not this works for you.
But you sure are getting some large forms... Do they have lots of canvases or what?.

After running the f45gen32.exe on a version SQL*Form 2.3 INP file, it generates
the version 4.5 FMB adn the .err file (that does not indicate that any errors have occurred).
When I attempt to open the converted module using Developer 2000 v.1.3, it continuously
indicates the following error:

This error is received despite selecting all the required conversion parameters (per metalink and
other notes found on this forum).
This is a conversion of SQL*Forms version 2.3 to 4.5, with the ultimate goal of converting to 6i.
The same process works with other forms.?

When I open a form then it is giving this error, while it is already a *.FMB file.
Now, what should I do?
FRM-10043: Cannot open file.
Cause:     You tried to open a file that is not a valid Form Builder design module file.
Action:      Open a form (.FMB), menu (.MMB), or library (.PLL) module.

I encounter same problem and have found solution, not sure it is suitable for your issue
My OS is Chinese Language Windows,and FMB file is at Desktop(Path: C:\Documents and Settings\ptian\桌面\), Path contain Chinese Chars.
Then Use Form builder,it can NOT open file,always tell me error:FRM-10043: Cannot open file
Then I move the file to a patch where only have English Char,then re-open fmb, The issue disappeared.

I tried to run the CUSTOM.pll file it is giving the following error. I gave full permission and sourced the environment still i am getting the following error.

I have created a form sucessfully in windows.It works fine.
Now i have to use it in LINUX. So i copied the fmb file into the Linux
where the default test.fmx is placed.
Now i executed the below query and i got the result cannot open file.

FRM-18108 Failed to Load objects.
when i use Frmcmp.sh GUI the form is compiled succesffully if there is no OLB attached with it.

Did you copy the .OLB file(s) to your LINUX server also? If not, you will need to copy them as well as your forms 'Inherit' the shared objects from the .olb's so they have to be present in the FORMS_PATH on the server when you compile your .fmb's. If you did copy them, first make sure they were copied via Binary Mode and if so, then I would refer you back to Grant's post and suggest you make sure the files were copied via 'Binary' mode to the LINUX server. Rather than Copy and Paste the files, you may want to FTP from a command prompt or a FTP Program so you can ensure the files are moved to the LINUX server in Binary mode.

From 6 to 9i? "FRM 10043 - Cannot open file"

Can someone help me to migrate from Forms 6 to 9i?
Just for testing I migrated from 4.5 to 6 and now I need to migrate to 9i, as I want to run my forms on the Web I thought I could use 9i bypassing 6i.
When I try to open a form (compiled with version 6) in version 9i, I got an error "FRM 10043 - Cannot open file".
I don't have Forms 6i, any workaround?

On Forms 6 I've detached the libraries and still got the same problem, cannot open the file in 9i.
Then on Forms 6 I'have attached the new upgraded libraries again, new path. and still got the same problem, cannot open the file in 9i.

Help! "FRM-10043: Cannot open file"

Twice today already I've had this error when trying to open an fmb form. No matter how I try opening it I get the same error, including Forms Runtime. I've worked hard twice now building this form, and twice it's gotten corrupted somehow that Oracle no longer recognizes it. I shutdown the PC in between, as well.
I'm running Forms 6i, patch 14 on Windows2000 with a 9i db.
Has this happened to anyone? What can I do??

More than likely, the Forms file you are trying to open is built with a newer version of Forms. It is also possible that the Forms file is corrupt.

Trigger text in Forms5.0 for large .fmbs

Hi,
Can any body tell me how to get trigger text for large .fmbs(files).
File - Administration - Object List Report works fine for small files but for large files old friend Dr. Watson comes. Same thing happens when done on command line giving appropriate arguements.
Please help its urgent.

I have Windows Server 2012 with SQL 2012 Standard SP1. I am using linked server, and Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable to access my database file made in Microsoft Access (.mdb) from network file server.

My SQL service is running with domain service account MYDOMAIN\SQL1$ , i have added Full control for file share and NTFS permission on my file server folder (C:\Files).

When I try to place simlpe Select SQL query I got error:

NTFS must be fine since it works from same server using same accounts.
As I understand, adding my access file to Access trusted location could be a problem. I have tried now to add my access database file location to trusted locations for user which is my SQL service user (Windows Service - AD managed service account MYDOMAIN\SQL1$)
and my test user which I use to connect to sql server as a client from sql management studio. (Account is Domain Admins and have full permissions on SQL server also)

I have done this for SQL service account user and my personal test account as I said. I have tried to logoff and restart sql service and all servers also.

I missed the file systemd uses to choose who's the process owner.
Course, I could edit /usr/lib/systemd/system/tor.service such that root will become the process owner; or, I could add the user I use everyday in the root group, then change the permission of /var/log/tor/debug.log such that it will be writable also for the folks in the root group.
Yet they both seems to be a bit unsafe ...
What is the best choice, to you guys?

I am trying to build a report in Report Builder 3.0. I created the Data Source to point to my Excel file and the Data Set. I drag a couple of fields on to the canvas and then choose Run. I get the error: "The Microsoft Access
database engine cannot open or write to the file. It is already opened exclusively by another user". I am using the Excel driver. Why am I getting this message? How can I fix this?

Open module for managing property file and environment variables

Looking for an open module for managing property files and environment variables (like CLASSPATH) set in a shell script. For handeling properties (preserving comments, supporting includes, appending new entries, and more) I have looked at SuperProperties from openadaptor but find certain functionality lacking. As for interfacing with common shell scripts/files containing setting for CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME, other system/application variables another type of object editor is needed. Maybe JFIG?
Any ideas are greatly welcomed.

You seem wright, you hit a brick wall here with Air to find the location
of the command console on windows...
So in fact I never build an exe tool, but this little problem was a nice
case to test it and I tried it.:

created a console project and had an exe in 5 minutes !
