FRM-42431 Unable to initialize debugger in forms 9i
I want to debug a form of my application. In formsbuilder I try to do that with Debug - Debug Module and after that formbuilder starts the form with the extra parameters debug=YES&HOST=inserver&PORT=4783. When the form opens I get the error FRM-42431 Unable to initialize debugger.
Does anyone know where the host/port info comes from? (De servlet is started on port inserver:8888). With debug=YES&HOST=inserver&PORT=8888 I get the same error.
The port number used by the debugger is different each time - it's just a socket connection that the debugger in the Form Builder uses to connect to the runtime.
The error that you are getting sounds like your default.env is not correctly set up. The classpath in that file should include the debugger.jar, share.jar and utj90.jar

FRM-41214 unable to run report from forms with parameters
Hi all,
I am unable to run a report from forms if I pass parameters. Report is running fine in reports builder and in url if I access the report straightly.
I used set_report_object_property to pass the parameters.
Any clues to solve this problem?
PriyaHi Jeneesh,
Code is below:
myreport1 :=find_report_object('MYREP');
reportdata := Get_Parameter_List('reportsdata');
IF NOT Id_Null(reportdata) THEN
Destroy_Parameter_List( reportdata );
END IF;
reportdata := Create_Parameter_List('reportsdata');
Add_Parameter(reportdata, 'account_number', TEXT_PARAMETER, :parameter.account_number);
/* Setting the properties into Report Object */
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_COMM_MODE, SYNCHRONOUS);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_DESTYPE, CACHE);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_DESFORMAT, 'htmlcss');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_SERVER,vc_reportserver);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1, REPORT_FILENAME, 'C:\priya\forms\EmcySummary.jsp');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(myreport1,REPORT_OTHER,'account_number='|| :parameter.account_number);

/* Checking for Report Server is started or not, if not throw an exception else proceed */
if vrep = vrep||'_0'then
raise form_trigger_failure;
end if;

FRM-41214: Unable ro run report while calling a report from a form in 9iDS
Am in the process of migrating from Developer 6i client/server to Developer 9iDS on Windows 2000.
I have read through the various postings on this issue & have made changes accordingly. I also referred to the white paper on the Forms/Reports integration.
As I am trying to do a prototype, am compiling my forms/reports on my local machine & not on the apps. server.
I installed a report server on my local machine as,
rwserver -install 9irep
I have defined this as a NT service and it is up & running & so is my OC4J instance.
I have defined a reports object in my Form Builder & set Report Server=9irep,
Destype=Cache,
Execution mode=runtime
Communication_mode=synchronous.
I also removed the /security tag from the <report server>.conf file as suggested in the white paper. Also set the single sign-on to NO for the reports service.
I have replaced my run_product with the run_report_object built-in as follows.
Declare
report_id REPORT_OBJECT;
report_status VARCHAR2(255);
rep_job_id VARCHAR2(255);
Begin
report_id := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT('KS'); --Created in form under node "Reports"
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_FILENAME,'C:\Kalpana\9i_Prototype\ISSMDLCUST.rdf');
rep_job_id := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(report_id);
report_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(rep_job_id);
WHILE report_status in ('RUNNING','OPENING_REPORT','ENQUEUED')
LOOP
report_status := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(rep_job_id);
END LOOP;
message(report_status); pause;
IF report_status='FINISHED' THEN
Web.Show_Document('http://houwdisndgd01:8888/reports/server/getjobid='
||rep_job_id||'?server=ks');
END IF;
End;
I get an error message "FRM 41214: Unable to run report" right after the call to run_report_object.
Can someone please tell me where am going wrong with my run_report_object built-in? (I also need help writing my web.show document to point it to my local machine/folders).
Thanks
KalpanaHow I have implemented the same and works
Local OC4J is running.
I established a reports server "repserver90" as a service.
I created a report named "C:\TMP\TMP\test_report.rdf"
I created a form with a Reports object with properties:

Filename: "C:\TMP\TMP\test_report.rdf"
Execution mode "Batch"
Communication mode "Sychronous"
Report Destination Type "Cache"
Report Destination Format "HTML"
Report Server "repserver90"
I call the report with the procedure:
PROCEDURE TEST_REPORT IS
repid REPORT_OBJECT;
v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
rep_status VARCHAR2(20);
BEGIN
repid := find_report_object('EMP');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE,BATCH);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_COMM_MODE,SYNCHRONOUS);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESTYPE,CACHE);

SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_SERVER,'repserver90');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_OTHER,'paramform=no pdeptno='||:dept.deptno);

:FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
I have built a form on my laptop running Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) and runs fine. I started having the message below
:FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
when I tried to open this form on another version of Forms running Oracle Developer Suite10g (9.0.4.2.0) on another computer.
Could this be the reason - non-backward compatibility.
If this is the reason, Is there a way to around it.
Many thanks
cube60Yes, you are correct - you cannot create a form in 10.1.2 then try to run it in 9.0.x. There is no way to avoid this.
In order to go from an older version to a newer version, you must recompile the source code (FMB, MMB, PLL) in the version where you expect to run it. You cannot simply take an FMX file which was created in 9.0.4 and expect it to run in 10.1.2. This would fail. New executables would need to be created using the 10.1.2 compiler. -
Unable to open a custom form. FRM-47023 error.
Hello experts,
I am currently in a 11i to R12.1.3 upgrade and trying to open a custom form in R12. I compiled the form in forms builder 10.1.2.3.0 and in the db with no errors. When I try to open it in the apps it displays the following error messages:
1) FRM-47023: No such parameter named G_QUERY_FIND exists in form ....XXX_CUSTOM_FORM.
2) FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item PARAMTER.G_QUERY_FIND.
3) FRM 41052: Cannot find Window: Invalid ID.
4) FRM-40700: No such trigger: menu_to_appcore
5) FRM-47023: No such paramter named HR_MODE exists in form AMZ_RESPAPPRV.
6) FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to iem PARAMETER.HR_MODE.
I do have all the pl/sql libraries downloaded. If I didn't then forms builder would complain and not let me compile.
I am not sure what is causing it. Any ideas what is causing it?
Any help is much appreciated.

FRM-30087: Unable to create form file
I'm running Forms 9i. When I tried to run form from the Forms Builder, I sometimes received the error "FRM-30087: Unable to create form file". To work around the problem, I have to shut down the OC4J instance and then restart again. Why did I receive this error? How do I get rid of this error without having to shut down OC4J every time?
It means that there is an instance of your fmx in memory still running. Make sure to exit properly from your form after you run it.
This might happen if you leave the forms running or if you closed your browser without exiting the form first.
Shutting down OC4J removes the fmx from memory. -
FRM 30087 Unable to create form file \\pc1\CALENDAR_EX.fmx.
there is a form calendar.fmb created on PC1 which runs proper on PC1.
Now on PC2 i am opening the form and want to run the same. But it gives the following error...
FRM 30087 Unable to create form file \\pc1\CALENDAR_EX.fmx...
how to solve this..?If you look up the error message in the Help documentation, it says:
FRM-30087: Unable to create form file %s
Cause: You lack privileges in the specified directory, or you do not have the disk space required.
Action: Contact your DBA to make sure you have the access privileges you need. -
Form: FACTORY_ADDRESS :FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
Hi there,
I have Oracle Enterprise 9i and Developer 10g with Forms on my laptop. I have created a form which runs quite alright from my laptop, but on transferring this form to another computer running Oracle Enterprise 10g and Developer 10g with Forms and with exactly the same backend database schema, it gave me the following error and would not load.
Form: FACTORY_ADDRESS
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
What can be wrong?
Many thanks in advance
Cube60You need to recompile your fmb files to fmx when you redeploy your forms in a new major version. What exact version (all the 5 version digits you find when you show the About box in the builder) are running in the two installations?

FRM-92101 in wu_test (the webutil demo form)
Error:
FRM-92101 in wu_test (the webutil demo form)
Problem:
I am attempting to run the wu_test form, downloaded with demos for webutil 1.02.
Running wu_test or another form containing webutil functions results in
FRM-92101 in the form's window and the following error in the OC4J console.
"Forms session <1> aborted: unable to communicate with runtime process."
Environment:
Java Client: Tried with both Sun Java Plug-In 1.4.2.04/5 and Jinitiator 1.3.1.17
Application Server: Oracle 9.0.4 iDS (Orion Development OC4J)
Database: Enterprise Edition 10.1.0.2.0
Forms Listener Servlet
Attempted Solutions:
I have scoured OTN & MetaLink & tried everything I could find with no luck. I
apologize for the length of this post, but I want to provide as much information
as possible re: what I've tried and my environment.
For instance, the remedy in Note 252600.1, which can cause these symptoms, did
not help.
This note states:
In webutil.cfg modify
install.syslib.location to an absolute URL, replacing the line:
install.syslib.location=/webutil
To an absolute URL like:
install.syslib.location=http://[host]:[port]/forms90/webutil
(replacing [host] and [port] with your own values) or
install.syslib.location=//../webutil
Other Information:
Other forms (ones that don't contain webutil functions/beans) run fine with the same
env and config used for webutil.
The wu_test form is already set up so first navigation item is not on the
webutil canvas, but on the "demo" canvas.

Any suggestions on how I can get this to work will be appreciated. Thanks. -Ianmost of the time this means that your webutil.pll isn't good attached but it is very dependant on the versions you working on.
Post your versions of forms ias and webutil.
In older version it is sometimes necessary to first subclass the webutil group and then attach the webutil.pll. Other way around didn't work (was in beta version 1.02 I believe) -
FRM-41214 unable to run report
Hi,
i'm trying in this days to migrate my software from 6i to 9i....
Particularly i had some problems when i try to launch a report from my form...
The form had migrated from Oracle 6i and it seems that it hasn't any type of problem but when i try to call a report from the web i obtain the error FRM-41214 (unable to run report)
but this report is correctly positioned in the right path and when i use a different report of a different project (compiled for the 9i) i note that the error occurs when i use one of my group obtained from my queries like source for a new repeating frame.....
Exactly until when i use one of the old groups of the old report it's all right but when i try to use a new group referred to a my new query i obtain the precedent error
(FRM-41214, unable to run report)
But i don't have any type of error when i compile...
Can anyone help me? Some one can tell me what can i do or some one can indicate me same document where i can read all the step to migrate a report??
Thanks a lot in advanceProblem resolved. Copy of document can be found
in METALINK, NOTE: 1069651.6. This will resolved the problem.
Thanks. -
Error calling report FRM-41213 unable to connect to Report Server
Hi,
I have installed Oracle Database 10g R2 and Oracle Developer 10gR2.
I installed it in both Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP2.
I would like to call a Report using a button inside Oracle Form.
I create my own Report Server, using : rwserver server=repsrv
A Java-based window appear OracleAS Reports Sevice, and showed that repsrv is ready.
In Form (inside a button -> WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED) :
1. Using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT()
rep_id := find_report_object('REPORT10');
if not id_null(rep_id) then
v_rep := run_report_object(rep_id);
else
message('Null');
end if;
a. If I did not specify the name of the Report Server in Reports node of Form's property object
(I leave it blank)
The following error appear :
FRM-41211: Integration error, SSL failure running another product
b. If I specify the name of the Report Server : repsrv
The following error appear :
FRM-41213: Unable to connect to Reports Server repsrv
2. Using WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT()
a. If did not I specify the server name in the parameter
WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://localhost:8889/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'|| SUBSTR(v_rep,INSTR(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||,'_blank');Another web browser appear and the following error appear :
REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server rep_<computer_name> failed
b. If I specify the server name in the parameter --> server='repsrv'
WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://localhost:8889/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'|| SUBSTR(v_rep,INSTR(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server=repsrv','_blank');Another web browser appear and the following error appear :
REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server repsrv failed
In Report :
If I try to navigate manually to :
1. http://localhost:8889/reports/rwservlet using web browser.
It showed OracleAS Report Services - Servlet Command Help page.
2. http://localhost:8889/reports/rwservlet?userid=scott/tiger@orcl&report=D:\PRACTICE\FORM\MODULE1.JSP&destype=cache&desformat=html
The following error occured
REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server rep_<computer_name> failed
3. Finally,
http://localhost:8889/reports/rwservlet?server=REPSRV&userid=scott/tiger@orcl&report=C:\PRACTICE\FORM\MODULE1.JSP&destype=cache&desformat=html
The following error occured
REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server repsrv failed
4. Any attempt to different command (i.e showenv, showjobs, etc) seems failed
If I did not specify the server then REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server rep_<computer_name> failed
If I specify the server - 'repsrv' then REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server repsrv failed
5. I have tried to use rwrun in command line.
rwrun report="D:\My Documents\form\module1.jsp" userid=scott/tiger@orcl destype=file desformat=pdf desname="D:\My Documents\form\module2.pdf"
The PDF file created and it looks exactly as the web layout as in Oracle Report Builder (Run Web Layout CTRL-R)
Question :
1. What supposed to be done?
The Report server is ready, but the web browser seems unable to connect to Report Server.
2. Can we used or call or executed an executable command line from Form (using PL/SQL inside button)?
Any help would be grateful.
Many thanks,
BuntoroHi,
Problem solved.
I got the solution from another post.
Re: REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server rep failed
Here are the step I did.
Note : Please make backup for the following file : rwnetwork.conf
- In file rwnetwork.conf, remove or commented the following
<multicast channel="228.5.6.7" port="14021" timeout="1000" retry="3"/>
- And then uncommented
<namingService name="Cos" host="%NAMING_HOST%" port="%NAMING_PORT%"/>
- replace the
%NAMING_HOST% with your computer name or specify an IP address
%NAMING_PORT% with 14021
It should look like this :
<namingService name="Cos" host="blahblah" port="14021"/>
- I did not change the : name="Cos", since I do not understand what does it for
- Save you changes.
- Start the OC4J.
- Find the location of : namingservice.bat (on Windows platform)
- execute in the command line : namingservice.bat 14021
- finally start the report in the web browser
Note:
To shutdown the namingservice, use : namingservice.bat 14021 shutdown

Chennai,India.Akula,
the Reports Server name doesn't need to be mentioned in teh TNSNAMES file anymore. This was required in Reports6i and before. Since Reports9i the architecture has changed and a Report Server can be accessed by its name in teh network. The problem that is reported can be due to uncompiled PLSQL in teh Reports rdf file. If you check the Reports queuemanager (on Windows) or using the Servlet command then you see the detailed error message. If you don't see any error message in teh queuemanager then the Reports module file wasn't found. Make sure that the Reports9i Server has access to this. The Reports9i Server Reports_Path is not set in the registry (as far as I know) but in one of its configuration files.
As a quick test - look for the Reports sample files and add your file to the same directory.
