I was wondering if you buy a game for mac, if you can play with all the other windows users playing the same game online?

I was thinking about both call of duty 4 when it comes out as well as call of duty 2. And does directx 10 work on the mac too? sorry but I have no idea how gaming works on the mac.

You can sync iOS apps from your compute's iTunes library to your iPod. An iPod will only run iOS apps/games. It will not run or even sync computer apps/games.

I bought a game at home on my laptop. I sync my ipod to my Mac at work so my question is this. Can I locate the file on my laptop and then copy it over and import it into my itunes library at work. In the past, I used Podworks to copy games from my iPod to my other computer, but recently Podworks has stopped working and the makers don't reply to my emails (word of warning to anyone reading this...don't buy Podworks!) - so I'd rather not have to buy software to copy over the files.
If I sync my games with the mac at work it just deletes iQuiz and all my high scores & history on other games I've purchased.

Anyway, for HL2 there actually is a solution that does not require Windows.

As it turns out, HL2 is actually one of their supported apps... I actually think it is the ONLY supported game (how fortunate for you . It's worth a try.
Otherwise, it's Boot Camp and a Windows install for you.

First... WineBottler is VERY OLD and no longer updated. Use Wineskin instead if your trying to get games running on your own.
Second... You may want to become a member over at portingteam.com forums... there is a working Fallout3 wrapper over there you can download and use. I think it was made with Wineskin.

I don't play any Facbook games, but I'm assuming that they are played using your browser (Safari, Firefox, etc.).

No. When you join the Mac Developer Program you'll get instructions on how to set up your bank account and how to place your app in the correct stores.

Hello everyone. I need help!!
I accidentally removed sky gamblers - storm raiders from game center on my mac. I dont know how to un-remove it! I want it back cause I am one of the best in the game and I want my stats in game center. I still have the game on my mac but I also want to be able to play matches online with other people using gamecenter.
I already tried the usual stuff: deleating and reinstaling, signing in on a diffrent computer and re dowloading,
So I basicly need to know how to get my game back into gamecenter.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

Yah the thing is, I am going for MAC PC, at least it is in my mind but kids are very fond of latest games, windows games can't be played in mac but is there a way available?

The obsolete pre-2006 Mac towers this forum covers pretty much can't run any current software, games or otherwise. CellarDweller's comment about Boot Camp does not apply the the Macs in this forum either. That requires a 2006 or later Mac.
If you tell us what model Mac you are considering, we can get you moved to a forum when you can find more info on what game do and don't work.
For a start however, many popular games for the PC platform were ported to Mac and released by another company specializing in support Mac games. For a number of popular game titles available on Mac, please see:

I have tested a lot of games on my Macs and can give you two tips:
1) Don't get a notebook computer for gaming. They have limited room for cooling fans, often have scaled-back graphics hardware, and will run hot with a risk of premature failure.
2) Don't get an "entry-level" anything. Entry level Macs usually come with integrated graphics that may be OK for simple games but not for the big games.

Is it possible to play PC games on an intel mac yet? In theory it should work since you can run it as a PC. I want to play that Battlefield 2142 game very badly.

If you're going to run a PC Game on a Mac, first I'd advise you to find out if the game is compatible with Mac, some great games like Warcraft 3 and the whole Blizzard game library since Starcraft offer an OS X installer that you can download from Battle.net, other large publishers have begun doing this as well, Domm 3, Half-Life 2, Call Of Duty 2, all run on Mac. However, there a some games that will most likely miss Mac, EA for example has never done a game for Mac, their latest C&C Generals was ported some 2 years after it's release for windows, also C&C 3 Tiberium Wars will be PC-only. You have two basic options. One is to use a commercial screen recording app with access to system audio built into the app and the other is to add a system extension like SoundFlower that allows the QT X screen recorder to access/record the system audio. I use the former so I am not that familiar with SoundFlower but there should be several posts to this forum covering this topic.
