Generate Java class from Oracle Type defined in Package w/ JPublisher

I was wondering if its possible to generate a Java class for an Oracle Type defined in a Package? I know passing the package name to JPublisher (SQL <package_name>) causes all Oracle Types in the Package to have a Java class generated for them but I'd like to be able to do this for an individual Type defined in a Package (something like SQL <package_name>.<type_name>).
Thanks for any information you can give me.

Hi Marinel,
The support for XSD import is limited on 10.1.2. If you can, you should consider moving to the 10.1.3 preview as the support for document style web services has improved. The other option will be to inline the schema in your WSDL.
Eric.

  • Error when generating java classes from object types

    Hi,
    I'm using JDeveloper version 10.1.3.0.2
    I created an object type in the database, the definition is:
    TYPE domain_cls IS OBJECT (
    domain_idx           NUMBER(3)

    I tried to create a java class for this object using JDeveloper, by using generate java menu item.
    I got the following error:

    I would recommend using JAXB instead of the Oracle class generator. This will give a standards based object-to-XML platform.
    Oracle provides two JAXB implementations: one in the TopLink product, and the other in the XDK.
    For an example of using TopLink JAXB see:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/toplink/technical/tips/jaxb/index.htm
    TopLink also provides the ability to map existing Java objects to an existing XML Schema, for an example of this see:

  • Errors generating Java classes from XML schema

    I received the following errors when generating Java classes from the schema located at: http://imsproject.org/xsd/ims_qti_rootv1p1.xsd and http://imsproject.org/xsd/ims_xml.xsd

  • About generating Java classes from XSD Schema ???

    I need a powerfull tool to generate Java classes from XML Schema. I want that generated classes to have the option to validate XML(to be JAXP1.2 compliant).
    I used XML Spy 5.4 but the generated classes can't validate an XML file.
    Can you help me with other tools that:
    - generate Java classes from XSD
    - generate sample XML from XSD
    - are JAXP1.2 compliant(validate a XML file with a schema)
    Thanks.

    You can also use Castor: http://www.castor.org
    It generates classes from XML Schemas and enables data
    binding without writing any line of a fuckin SAX
    parser :-)I evaluated Castor and JAXB and while JAXB isn't perfect, it's got some things over Castor. Castor almost looks abandonded when I go to the site. The documentation just sort of trails off.

  • How to omit xmlns from generated Java classes

    Hi,
    I'm using JAXB and xjc to generate Java classes from xsd fils. I've noticed that when marshalling these Java classes to XML string, there are few xmlns attributes that (as far as I concern :-))
    "waste" space on the generated xml (space is critical resource in our application). Is there a way to order the Marashaller to omit these xmlns attributes from the generated files?
    I tried to edit the generated xml string. I removed the xmlns attributes, but unmarshall it back to Java objects failed...
    Thanks for any help,
    Barak.

    If the xmlns is specified in the xsd, it is also required in the xml. If you do not want it, however you can remove it from your xsd and then generate your xml

  • XJC Tool - For building Java classes from Schema

    Hi all,
    I am using XJC tool for Building java classes from Schema.
    Can we have any other tool for generating java classes from Schema?
    Thanks in advance,
    typurohit

    Solved my own problem and forgot to post the answer: the "xsd:import" is also considered as a targetNamespace, so each xsd:import needs a package specified as well when using oracg. It would be helpful if the Oracle documentation had stated that, but it does not point this out.

  • Generation of java classes from XML Schema.

    Hi All,
    I am working with JWSDP-2.0 but got stucked.:
    To generate Java classes from an XML Schema with the JAXB ,I need to have following jar file in thils location with this JWSDP-2.0
    <JWSDP>/jaxb/lib/jaxb-api.jar
    <JWSDP>/jaxb/lib/jaxb-impl.jar
    <JWSDP>/jaxb/lib/jaxb-libs.jar
    <JWSDP>/jaxb/lib/jaxb-xjc.jar
    <JWSDP>/jwsdp-shared/lib/namespace.jar
    <JWSDP>/jwsdp-shared/lib/jax-qname.jar
    <JWSDP>/jwsdp-shared/lib/relaxngDatatype.jar
    And here I m not finding as jaxb-libs.jar,namespace.jar and jax-qname.jar on respective location.
    If I m putting these left jar file from another place it is not generating all the classes as at least in number it should be 45 but it is generating merely 5 classes.
    Can any one help me regarding this.
    Regards.
    Shelly.

    These JAXB JAR files are for JAXB 1.0.

    Hi,
    Can u Please post the WSDL..here. I remember long back i resolved this kind of issue...when i was getting "*parameters is already defined in - - -*" while using ClientGen.
    Once i will get the WSDL may be i can recall it...
    If u have any problem in Posting the WSDL..in Forums .. then let me know I will send my E-Mail Address...
    As far as i remember ..it usually happens when we Run ClientGen task of WLS81 ON the WebService/WSDL generated by WebLogic 9.x or Above. Please let me know if this is the Case with you as well... . I remember there is a Patch for it...for WLS8 ClientGen task...I dont remember the Patch Number Exactly.
    Just For testing:
    Just Use WLS9.x ClientGen task On the Same WSDL
    <taskdef name="clientgen" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" />
    I am sure you will not see this issue... because the issue is there only with WLS8 Clientgen...

  • How to read static variable defined java class from flex?

    This is a beginner question. If I use remoteClass to map a java class and a flex class, how can I access a static variable defined in java class from the flex code?
    Thanks!

    Static propeties are by default ignored in the blazeds for serialization. You can try using another global property in the java bean which maps to the value stored in the static property( Hopefully it should work)
    eg,
    public String instanceValue = ClassName.staticValue;

  • Compiling java classes from JDeveloper

    Hi guys... perhaps this thred need to be created in JDeveloper fourm, it so please let me know.
    I generated the classes from a web service which complie without errors and exedcute correctly. When trying to compile the main stub in Oracle database, I get an error "CONNOT RESOLVE SYMBOL" reviewing the java class, I see that extends the wrapper generated by Jdev. So I try to complie the extendable class, after trying to generate and compile it in the database, I get the error: "class$ is reserved for internal use" The code has the next line:
    static java.lang.Class class$(java.lang.String param1)
    Is this error launched from the oracle database? My guess is that maybe Im missing some library or something and thats why I can create the such Java Name procedures. But I will like if anyone could guide me through this exception.
    Thanks
    JP

    Do you have .jar (or the .class) files created after the compile from JDeveloper?
    If you do, you can load all of them using the command line utility loadjava:
    $ loadjava
    loadjava: Usage: loadjava [-definer] [-encoding encoding] [-force] [-genmissing] [-genmissingjar jar] [-grant grants] [-help] [-nousage] [-noverify] [-oci8] [-order] [-resolve] [-resolver resolver] [-schema schema] [-synonym] [-thin] [-tableschema schema] [-user user/password@database] [-verbose] classes..jars..resources..properties...

    regards abq

    Well, after hours of digging I found a solution which actually was right in front of me the whole time.
    This is how I edited the schema.
        <xsd:complexType name="options">
            <xsd:sequence>
                <xsd:element name="option" maxOccurs="unbounded" >
                    <xsd:complexType>
                        <xsd:simpleContent>
                            <xsd:extension base="xsd:string">
                               <xsd:attribute name="value" type="xsd:string" >
                                  <xsd:annotation><xsd:appinfo>
                                    <jaxb:property name="realValue" />
                                  </xsd:appinfo></xsd:annotation>
                                 </xsd:attribute>
                            </xsd:extension>
                        </xsd:simpleContent>
                    </xsd:complexType>
                </xsd:element>
            </xsd:sequence>
        </xsd:complexType>Before, I placed the <xsd:annotation> tag efter the first line but inside the <xsd:attribute> made much better if you would like it to work.
    When marshling an @XmlRoot object will produce valid xml code. So even though that the server have a different xml schema, they will be able to talk to each other.

    I have some service for which I have to prepare soap request manually - suitable for my service requests.
    I'm doing it using dom4j to create xml documents and i rewrite values to it from my variable up.
    I wonder if it is possible to do it automatically - I have UploadChunk object and I want do use xFire library somehow to produce ready or almost ready soap request. I want to do it in my code, no some ant or maven task.
    So I propably need a couple line of code, when I have:
    up.setSomething(123);
    //////CONVERTION - CAN U TELL ME HOW TO DO THAT PLEASE? I haven't found the way :( it seems I need your help.
    //////Document result =....
    callService(result,namespace,qname);

    Hi,
    Can u Please post the WSDL..here.
    <taskdef name="clientgen" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" />
    I am sure you will not see this issue... because the issue is there only with WLS8 Clientgen...
    Thanks

  • Calling java code from oracle apps form

    I've created my own java .class file and am attempting to call it from an oracle applications form. I am getting a runtime error while running the form, but I don't know what the error is because nothing is being reported to me.
    I've created the .java file in JDeveloper, compiled it into a .class file, deployed it to a .jar file, and placed it on the application server in a directory that the CLASSPATH can see it. I've added it to the archive parameter of the appsweb.cfg file and see that the .jar file is being downloaded when the JInitiator of Oracle Apps is started.
    I have also imported the .class file into the form via the Program -> Import Java Classes which resulted in PL/SQL package stubs created to call the .class methods.
    When I run the form, the java code is activated on a triggering event, PRE-INSERT. There is no java bean item in a block or on a canvas anywhere. I dont' think I need there to be since I am simply using the java code to perform actions during PRE-INSERT, not to display anything on the canvas.
    I have placed debug messages throughout my code and see that the error is occuring in the PL/SQL packaged stub at the line "JNI.GET_CLASS()" where the parameter to that call is the name of my class. I know it's erroring there because I am handling the "java_error" exception. I am displaying "ora_java.last_error" in the exception handling, but it is null.
    I am at a loss as to determine why I am having problems and how to display an error. Any suggestions? I'm happy to outline my steps and problem in more detail if I have missed something obvious.
    We are using Forms 6.0.8.21.3 with Oracle Apps 11.5.7.
    Shane.

    Shane,
    Don't loose the heart. You have come too close to end.
    The scenario you have mentioned is very unique and something which will fit more in the forms forum. So I think that was a sincere answer to help you and not a "pass the buck" card type game :)
    You are lucky that you got Tapash interested into this issue, otherwise you see there is no OAF component involved out here.
    I have an article promised to some of the guys but will follow this issue.

  • Error: ORA-03113 while executing complex java code from Oracle PL/SQL

    Hi,
    I am trying to execute a complex java code from Oracle PL/SQL. The classes were resolved successfully. But in the middle of execution, I am getting the following error:
    ERROR:
    ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
    begin
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    Process ID: 13685
    Session ID: 21 Serial number: 20
    Is there a way to debug the Java classes loaded into oracle? Or is there any utility to find out why the connection was lost?
    Regards,
    Saravana

    Hi Saravana:
    You could use simply System.out.println(..) at your Java code and see the output at the .trc files generated for your Oracle session.
    Or better than this adding Java Util Logging messages at your code, to see how to use JUL API at the OJVM please see this blog post [Using JUL API inside the OJVM|http://marceloochoa.blogspot.com/2007/11/getting-logging-entering-exiting-and.html].
    Best regards, Marcelo.
    PD: ora-0600 generally are associated with RDBMS bugs, but these bugs can be bypassed by replacing the code which throws the exception by other with a workaround.
