Get chart Values

Hi experts,
I want to retrieve the date value from this graph and I've been wondering is there a way to retrieve a chart axis value without using the model?
I tried to do this:
var model = sap.ui.getCore().getModel("dataQuery"); // dataQuery is my model
var indexFromChart = oControlEvent.getParameter("data")[0].data[0].ctx.path.dii_a1; // that retrieve the id
var monthValue = model.getProperty("/DUMP" +indexFromChart+); // Dump is the path in my model that gives me the months value
but as when I do model.getProperty("/) the result is like this
DUMP(dateStep='02.2014',numberOfAlerts='3728',sid=''): Object
I can't retrieve the values form the chart
the result is always: undifined
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

in that example, it is shown how to read chart value of pie chart. with few modification, you will be able to get the result for your requirement.

    I have integrated sharepoint list data to SQL Server reporting services. I am using the below to query sharepoint list data using sql reporting services.

By using this query, I am getting a dataset which includes all the columns of sharepoint list. Among these columns, I wanted to display only 2 columns (i.e Region and Sales type) using chart. I have created a Region parameter but when I click preview, the drop down box is giving me all the repeatative values of region like RG1,RG1,RG1,RG2,RG2,RG2,RG2,RG3.......... I wanted to display only distinct values of Region parameter so that whenever end user select region from the parameter drop down, it will display the respective value of Sales type column.
Also when I select only RG1 parameter, it is giving me a chart including the sales type of all the Regions. (it should display me only the sales type of RG1) How can I link these 2 columns so that they will display the values respectively.
          I would really appreciate if anyone can help me out with this.

Hi Sam,
By code, the CAML language doesn’t have any reserved word (or tag) to set this particular filter to remove duplicate results.
In this case, we could use the custom code to get distinct records.
Here are the detailed steps:
1.         Create a hidden parameter that gets all the records in one field.
Note: Please create another dataset that is same of the main dataset. This dataset is used for the parameter.
2.         Create a function that used to remove the duplicate records.
Here is the code:

And the default value to be the value you what such as the first value:
=Split(Code.RemoveDups(JOIN(Parameters!ISSUE_STATUS_TEMP.Value, ",")), ",").(0)
4.         Go to the main dataset. Open the property window of this dataset.
5.         In the “Filters” tab, set the filter to be:
Expression: <The field to be filter>
Operator: =
Value: =Parameters!Region.Value
The parameter “Region” should be the parameter we created in the step3.
Now, we should get distinct values of SharePoint columns.

How to get selected values (using checkBox) from DataGrid in flex.

i have a datagrid which is getting values from a XML file (getting this xml file from database using PHP and HTTP request in flex). i have created a checkbox in every row in data grid. and here is my requirement: i want to select tow or three check-box and would like to get all the values form that particular ROWs in some form , prefered arraycollection (such that i can pass this array directly to a bar chart) .. can some one help me as i am new to flex .

Get domain value range dynamically

Hi all,
I need to create a dynamic method that retrieves the value range (key-value) of a domain.
It is pretty simple to get fixed values using FM DD_DOMVALUES_GET, but how do I manage a value table?
For example:
Field XFELD has fixed values so use DD_DOMVALUES_GET
Fields BUKRS and SPRAS have value tables.
I can get the value table name using FM DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET and retrieve the data from that table. Unfortunately, I can be sure to get the right key field, but I can't be sure to get the right value field, it depends on the value table definition.
BUKRS has T001 that stores the text in field BUTXT of the same instead SPRAS has T002 that stores the text in text table T002T in field SPTXT.
Is there any standard function module that does the trick?
In this thread Gregor Wolf managed it manually using a case statement, but I would avoid it, too many case statements...

What I am doing is not quite the same but similar - I am dynamically getting the text description when I have a data element and the value of the variable that references that data element.
I was pointed to CL_TEXT_IDENTIFIER which when you pass in the domain and the value magicaly brings back the text description, despite the fact that, as far as I can see, SAP has set up almost every text table slightly differently - sometimes in the main table like T001W or lFA1, sometimes which just the language and the value as a key, sometimes with extra key fields (e.g. MAKT) and sometimes with added organisational key fields e.g. the same GL account have different text descriptions in different chart of accounts.
I think at some stage CASE statements or subclasses are going to have to come into the equation, due to the utter lack of consistency in SAP table defintions.

Another idea with less programming - take advantage of the "free" array that comes with a Chart - i.e. the History Data.
1) Wire your DMM data to a Chart. (You can set the chart to invisible if you don't plan on using it in the GUI).
2) Set the Chart History Length to 200 (right click on the chart, click on Chart History Length...)
3) On the block diagram, use the History Data Property Node, wire it to Mean.vi, and you're done.
Easiest running average ever.

Pie chart value and percentage

is it possible to show both value and percentage when holding mouse cursor over the pie chart?
I find there is no option for it.

Your requirement is to show the legends and data values at a time (when mouse rollover the pie chart)
Chart View -->Select the Graph as PIE then the Advance properties is enabled
In Advance Properties ( Start symbol ) click on that you will get chart type special and select show the labels and label values. Let me know if this is not the solution

How to get Datalink value in Ichart ( Flavor: Pie ) ?

Hi Jermy,
I can select the pen numner form selection event of the legend by using
document.<appletname>.getchartObject.getSelectedPen()
How can get the values assoiciated with that pen or legned ( i mean datalink vales ).
I have added one column in the datalink columns of the ichart template and i need that datlink values based on the legend selection.
How can i do that?

Vansi,
Leveraging the Script Assistant to help you with methods, and using the javascript alert statement are great ways to learn how the applet methods behave.
The .getDatalinkValue(PENNUMBER,POINTNUMBER,ATTRIBUTE) method has three inputs - you already know how to get the pennumber, and since your chart is Pie then the pointnumber should be 1 since you don't have a line chart or group bar chart. The attribute is a one-based index for all of your mapped datalink columns, so if you only have one of these then use a static 1.

How about in JSP? How do i get the names and values of the form using a loop?

You can use request.getParameterNames() which will return an enumeration, then you can iterate through the enumeration and use request.getParameterValue(String paramName) method to get the values.

Hi Kranthi,
Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

Lets say the item that i selected from the list is 'Xplace' and I clicked on the Select District button,
what I got is this error message:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to convert string 'Xplace' to class java.util.Vector for attribute usrTDistrict: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Property Editor not registered with the PropertyEditorManager
So where is going wrong and what the message means?. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks

These are just guesses that might hopefully steer you in directions you haven't looked in yet.
I presume you used triangle brackets (< >) to avoid having the Jive Forum think it was the "italics" tag?
Are you certain this: dbaseInfo.getcurrentDistrictID(nstate,vselectedDistrict);
expects a Vector as its second parameter? And returns a Vector?
I don't believe you've shown how you use the javabean, or its code? Perhaps it should be rewritten to accept an array of strings instead of a Vector?

Problem getting arraylist values from request

What is ResearchResults?
Is it a request parameter or is it a request attribute?
Parameters and attributes are two different things.
Request parameters: the values submitted from the form. Always String.
Request attributes: objects stored into scope by your code.
They are also accessed slightly differently in EL
java syntax == EL syntax
request.getParameter("myparameter") == ${param.myparameter}
request.getAttribute("myAttribute") == ${requestScope.myAttribute}
You are referencing the attribute in your scriptlet code, but the parameter in your JSTL/EL code.
Which should it be?
