Get MBean from JBoss???

Hi everyone,
I deployed a session bean on JBoss, and I saw it is managed by an MBean
In the JBoss's JMX MBean View:
MBean Name: Domain Name: jboss.j2ee
     service: EJB
     jndiName: TestFacadeBean
MBean Java Class: org.jboss.ejb.StatelessSessionContainer
Now, I want to get this MBean and use it's methods.
I used this code to find the MBeanServer:
     ArrayList arl = MBeanServerFactory.findMBeanServer("jboss.j2ee");
but art.size() = 0 and I cannot find MBean Java Class: org.jboss.ejb.StatelessSessionContainer
Could you tell me how I can get a particular MBean from the Agent View of JBoss.
Can I lookup it like EJBs, if can, what is it's jndiName?
Please help me,
I'm waiting for your answers.
Thanks a lot.

I've got the same problem. Working with JBoss 4.0.3 and Tomcat 5.5. The lookup goes fine and returns an object of type remote home, however when I perform the narrow() I get ClassCastException. I'm sure the client and the server have got the same file version as I built from the same source.

  • Getting MBeans from multiple MBeanHomes

    I'm having trouble getting ServerRuntimeMBeans from multiple MBeanHomes (from different

    I don't see anything in the API's that indicate this shouldn't work.
    Has anyone else seen this? Is there a workaround?

    Actually this didn't work when I tried two systems running the Medical Records

    Is there any way to get around this?

    Hussein Badakhchani <[email protected]> writes:
    This is NOT the correct way to connect. If JBoss is J2EE 1.3 certified

    connect. This is the way you should connect to any foreign appserver
    from WLS.
    andy
    Your connection properties do look a bit odd.
    I don't know if this will help but my standalone applications access the jboss(3.2.4) naming service like this:
    props.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory");
    props.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "127.0.0.1:1099");
    You will need to add the jboss client classes to your classpath, I think they are all in jbossall-client.jar and the provider url is the location of your jboss server, jbosses default naming service port is 1099 you will need to check your is the same in the jboss-service.xml file under jboss/server/default/conf--

    I changed schema locations of descriptor files as suggested at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13706/overview.htm#i1074199 (see the third category for '*Enterprise Bean 2.1*' in the listing Table 1-1). Alternatively, you may see the schema locations for EJB2.0 directly at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13719/dd_reference.htm#EJBPG481

    JRE version in JBoss is 1.6.0_16. JVM in web logic is pointing to jrockit_160_22_D1.1.1-3 which is come in the package. It doesn't seem to be related to JVM version mismatch.
    I think it is an issue with definitions in weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml file. How should be the definition of entity-descriptor appear for entity bean which has finder methods in ejb-jar.xml?
    Please see the snippets from corresponding descriptor files below.

  • Accessing Runtime Mbeans from the command line.

    Hi,
    I just wanted to know if runtime Mbeans can be invoked from the command line.
    I tried accessing the ExecuteQueueRuntime mbean from the command line but nothing ever comes back.I am able to retrieve configuration mbeans without errors.
    Do I need to create the runtime mbeans before I can use them ?
    Or I need to invoke these commands via server code only?
    Thanks.

    Can you post the command you are using? I just tried this and seems to work.

  • Runtime Datasource from Jboss/Weblogic

    I have a application running JBoss, which we uses the datasource in the deploy folder.
    I have the report viewer working it is using the datasource from within the report file itself. At runtime, i would like to change the datasource in the report to use the datasource from Jboss, or pass a open connection. My only want to have one connection pool managed by the applicaiton server(Jboss/Weblogic).
    Thanks. Please let me know if it is unclear.

    I understand that I don't have the ability to pass in a connection. However, it is possible to use  the Jboss/Weblogic datasource in the deploy folder. If so, could you point in the right direction. So I could share the database connection pool.
    I have tried to use the setting JNDI string in the propertyBag for the connectionInfo. However, I am unable to get it to work.
    Thanks in advance for your time.

  • Call one session EJB3 from jboss to weblogic 10

    Hi everyone.
    I have a big problem. I have a session ejb3 in a weblogic server. I need start this session from jboss server.The code I used is as follows:
    Environment env = new Environment();
         env.setInitialContextFactory(weblogic.jndi.Environment.DEFAULT_INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY);
         env.setProviderURL("t3://ip:7001");
         env.setSecurityPrincipal("weblogic");
         env.setSecurityCredentials("cajamar1");
         Hashtable props = env.getProperties();
    I copied all the libraries that I have been asking in the JBOSS server. In the end I managed to work but when I do the lookup on my session I get this error message.

    Hi,
    Please make sure that you have generated the Client Side Artifacts of your EJB3.0 App and Placed then at the JBoss side (Client side). Please refert to ": *http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/04/02/generating-ejb3-clientjar/*
    Also make sure that you have "weblogic.jar" file at Cleint Application Side.

  • Watched folder error - "Exception while getting principal from Directory manager"

    Hi! I've been having problems with a LiveCycle ES installation.
    I've configured a watched folder that starts a process with an Office
    Document, converts it to PDF and applies a Rights Management Policy.
    It runs on behalf of an Active Directory user.
    Sometimes it works flawlessly, but most of the time it fails, giving a
    ridiculously long failure log with the longest trace stacks I've ever
    seen in life... resumed:

    I vaguely suspect is the server's clock going out of sync with the domain controller's clock, but I tried everything I knew of about it with no consistent results.
    It's LiveCycle 8.0.1 SP2 installed on a Windows 2003 Server.
    Manual install, JBoss Clustered configuration (the second node is actually turned off for the time being)
    SQL Server 2005 as backend Database
    Users on Active Directory on a Windows 2003 Server -which is a "copy" of the main domain controller.
    Watched folder is in a mounted share of another Windows 2003 Server acting as fileserver.
    Any clue will be greatly appreciated!!

    Hello,
    sorry in advance for my english. i am beginning in Adobe LiveCycle and i think that you can help me : i want to configure a watched folder to automatically convert in pdf file and apply a right management policy. Can you tell me how you configure it ? many thanks in advance. regards

  • Calling MBeans from a custom plugin

    I'm building a JMC plugin that shows a 'flowchart' of my system. In addition to showing MBean attributes (as numeric values, graphical state indicators, charts etc) I'd like to include buttons that trigger specific MBean operations. I can't figure out how to get to my MBean from inside my plugin. Any clues?

    You're asking how to call a third-party software from your custom program in your system, which we know nothing about. IMHO expecting someone to do your job for free is rather naive...

    How are you supposed to get help from Apple if you don't know what your serial number is?  They say to input the serial number of the "product" that you are asking about.  Since my problem is how to deauthorize/authorize computers, and they are saying I have more than 5 (which I have never owned more than 5 computers in my life), I can't imagine what serial number they mean.  Does it mean your desktop computer?  If so, which one?  Do they mean your device?  LIke your iPhone, iPod or whatever?  Do they mean the software ON one of your computers and/or devices?  If so, which program, and on which computer/device?
    We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it.  Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers.  See what I mean?  I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not.  I only know of 2 computers that have iTunes on them, so how can there be 5?  We also have 2 iPhones and 2 iPods in this family, but one of the iPhones has his own apple id.  He may have been using mine, since his computer died.  I read that those don't count as "computers" to the 5.  Do they, then?
    Help!  I can't contact apple because I have no idea what they mean about serial number.  I doubt they would help me anyway.  In order to get the serial number off my desktop computer (that has iTunes on it already), I will have to move furniture, so I don't want to if that's not it.  Is there some way to find the serial number in the software, either on my desktop or my iPhone?

    You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.

  • Creating Variable with Replacement Path to get value from ANOTHER Variable

    Hi all,
        Is anyone has created the Variable with Replacement Path to get the value from another User Entry Variable, PLEASE ?
    First created the User Entry Variable (ZV_X) and it accepts the date range like '01/01/2009 - 01/31/2009'. Next created the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path for which source variable will be ZV_X and we should get the 'FROM Date' (01/01/2009) from the selection (ZV_X) into it (ZV_Y).
    While creating the Characteristic variable (ZV_Y) of Replacement Path, I didn't find my newly created ZV_X variable in the list of available variables under 'Variable' header in 'Replacement Path' tab and it is causing the error 'Source to replace variable ZV_Y is not defined'. How could I create the Characteristic variable of Replacement Path for my requirement, PLEASE ?
    The following is from help.sap..com:
    Replace with Characteristic Value
    Text and formula variables with the processing type Replacement Path can be replaced with a corresponding characteristic value. In the variable editor, on the General tab page, you specify under Reference Characteristic the characteristic that is to be referenced by the replacement. On the Replacement Path tab page, you can choose whether the variable is replaced with the From or the To Value and with the Key or the Name of the characteristic value. You can also specify the Offset Start and Offset Length for the output.
    Replace with Variable
    Characteristic value variables, hierarchy variables, text variables, and formula variables with the Replacement Path processing type can take their values from a different variable.
    The following prerequisites need to be fulfilled:
    Variable
    ●      The variable must not be input-ready
    ●      The variable must represent a single value
    Source Variable
    ●      The source variable must not be a hierarchy node variable
    ●      The source variable must be input-ready
    ●      The source variable must be available in the query
    ●      The source variable must represent a single value or an interval
    In the variable editor, on the Replacement Path tab page, you specify the source variable from which the value is to be determined. The value is either determined from the key, the external attribute of the key, the description, or the attribute value. You can specify an Offset Start and an Offset Length for the output here. The variable is replaced on the variable screen upon each data release.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hi Eve,
    It is possible to connect the 2 queries using a Replacement Path characteristic variable. You would need to create the variable on the char whose values you want to pass from Q1 to Q2. The variable will be of type replacement path and you will need to enter the name of Q1 from which it will get the values. Make sure that you include this char in the query definition of Q1 and Q2. In Q2 you will restrict the characteristic using this variable. DO not use this variable (replacement path) in Q1.
    In your query properties check if you have turned on the checkmark for Release for OLE DB for OLAP (3rd tab). If the check mark is there, then remove it.
    We are using the scenario in a couple of places, and it works very well.
    Hope this helps...
