  • How to get the values and attributes of Longlived processes by using ProcessID.

    Hi Experts,
    For  every process we creates, LC ES2 creates processID.
    we know that if you creates  a long lived process, all  the  values which are in proces will be stored some where  in DB.
    Here my requirement is by using  processID I need to get all/some values/variables stored in database.
    I am not able to get values using processID. Here I don't have clue on  how to get the values.
    Please tell me  how to get the same by using  Process Management. Link/guide would be helpful
    Thanks
    Praveen.

    Searchable means you can put a filter criteria on it (e.g. where amount > 50000)
    Visible means you can add have this column returned as an output (and therefore you can add it as column in listview and see it in Task Details).
    These two attributes were provided so that queries could be done against the process variables, but the exact contents of the variables are not allowed to be seen.

  • How to get the value of sessionbean's properties in JSP?

    Hi,All
    I want to invoke setInterval() in JSP,and invoke clearInterval() when sessionbean's property is not null.But I don't know how to get the sessionbean's property.
    Thanks
    Smile.

    I'm not sure you can directly access a session bean from JSP.
    Although I haven't tried this with sessionBean1, you might try using JSP's useBean tag.
        <jsp:useBean id=<localName> type=<classPath> scope=<scope> />localName is the name you want to use to refer to the bean. classPath is the fully qualified class path. scope is either page, request, session, or application.
    I use this approach for accessing Java Beans. But before you can use the bean you have to add it as a session attribute. This makes it accessible to the page.
        FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        ExternalContext externalContext = facesContext.getExternalContext();
        HttpSession session = (HttpSession)externalContext.getSession(false);
        session.setAttribute(<attributeName>, <attributeValue>);You can then access the bean. I use scriptlets although you could also use JSP expressions or EL. I use scriptlets because I'm more comfortable with it.
    <jsp:scriptlet>
        Address address = (Address)session.getAttribute("Address");
        if(address != null) {
            value = address.getAddress1();
            if(value != null) {
                out.println(value);
            value = address.getAddress2();
            if(value != null) {
                out.println(" " + value);
    </jsp:scriptlet>I use this approach for accessing Java Beans. But before you can use it you have to add it as a session attribute.
    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ExternalContext externalContext = facesContext.getExternalContext();
    HttpSession session = (HttpSession)externalContext.getSession(false);
    session.setAttribute(<attributeName>, <attributeValue>);

    1203 1,2,3
    1204 10,11
    1205 10,12
    if I pass version_type is '1' then it should display 1201,1202,1203,
    if I pass vertsion_type '10' then it shoud display 1204,1205 records. DB version is 11g.
    Please let me know how to achieve this. Thanks in Advance.

    in oracle 7i onwards you can do
    SELECT assetid,version_type FROM EDECO_ASSETS WHERE substr(version_type,1,instr(version_type,',')-1) = :p_parameter; In oracle 10 you could do
    SELECT assetid,version_type FROM EDECO_ASSETS where regexp_like (version_type,'^'||:p_parameter||'(,|$)+')
    No absolutly sure if I got the restriction correctly. Maybe some of the regexp_gurus can recheck.
    :p_parameter can be replaced with '1' or '10' as you like.

  • How to get the value in a hashmap with a key of expression "123-456"?

    Hi all,
    I new to java and having a problem with getting values from a hashmap.here is the code which i wrote
    Map map = new HashMap();
    int m = 123;
    int n = 456;
    String key = String.valueOf(m) + "-" + String.valueOf(n);
        map.put(key, true);
        Now i am trying to get the value and i get an exception
    boolean b = map.get(String.valueOf(m) + "-" + String.valueOf(n));Can someone help me how to pass this expression as key in the hashamp

    Hi corlettk,
    Thanks for your reply. I have defined my map as Map<String, Boolean> selectedIds = new HashMap<String, Boolean>();
                selectedIds.put("123-456", true);
                int m=123; int n=456;
                                     selectedIds.put(String.valueOf(m) + "-" + String.valueOf(n),true);
                boolean viv = selectedIds.get("String.valueOf(m)-String.valueOf(n)");
                System.out.println(viv);
                My problem is the hashmap key must be set dynamically ("123-456" is just an example) and when i get the value i should be able to pass those varibales in an expression correctly. Please let me know how can i pass an expression like the one above as a hashmap key. Please advise.

  • How to get the value in one JSP page to another?

    Hi,
    I have problems in passing the value around in JSP. I have two JSP pages as below:
    test1.jsp
    I try to get the vaule from my textbox by using:
    String strUser = request.getParameter ("strUserName");
    Then i print out by using: out.print(strUser); then i can get the value and put on my page (For example, i get ABC on my page).
    test2.jsp
    Next, i want to get the value from strUser (which mean that the one i already display on page in test1.jsp, ABC) to insert into my table by using INSERT INTO statement. Then i try by using
    String strUser1 = request.getParameter ("strUser");
    Is it possbile for me to do that? I cannot get anything to insert into my table. Then i tried out.print(strUser1); then i found that i get NULL value.
    Could you please give me some guidance?
    Thanks you very much for any advise you may give me.

  • Getting the value of variable in a bean

    hi
    I have method in my class and I'm passing some values in it.
    example:
    public static boolean authenticate( String name, String passwd)
    //declare my variable
    boolean authorized = false;
    //do processing and set my variable
    if(name.equals("") || passwd.equals(""))
    return false;
    // if name and passwd exists set authorized to true
    authorized = true;
    return authorized;
    Question:
    How can I get the value of authorized in my webpage using jsp?
    or
    How can I get the value of authenticate in mywebpage using jsp?
    please help !!!!
    thanks in advance.

    Here's how I did it:
    This snippet is from my StringTable Bean
    public static final String SERVER_ERROR = "Server has returned an error.";
    public static final String DATA_ERROR = "Data could not be retrieved.";This is how I access it in a JSP
    <jsp:useBean id="Strings"  scope="session" class="com.cognitronics.utilities.StringTable" />
    <% if ( strResult.equals(Strings.SERVER_ERROR) ) { blah blah blah... }Hope that helps a little.

  • HTTP SERVICE - How to get the value of my params on the server side

    I am new to flex and with the url limitation i was trying to
    do the following ....send a bunch of ids... using params variable
    var myservice:HTTPService = new HTTPService();
    myservice.url = url;
    myservice.method = "POST";
    myservice.resultFormat = "e4x";
    myservice.send(params);
    The question is how do i get the value i passed on using
    params on the server side? can the variable params be a string or
    array or does it have to be object type?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Most server side languages have a function or an array where
    you extract the variables. in PHP they arrive in global arrays
    called $_POST and $_GET.
    Other languages have methods like request.formvars or
    request.query. Check your serverside language on how that is
    done.

    Thanks Billy, Would you be able to suggest any other faster method to load the data into table. Thanks,
    As Mark responded - it all depends on the actual data to load, structure and source/origin. On my busiest database, I am loading on average 30,000 rows every second from data in external files.
    However, the data structures are just that - structured. Logical.
    Having a data structure with 100's of fields (columns in a SQL table), raise all kinds of questions about how sane that structure is, and what impact it will have on a physical data model implementation.
    There is a gross misunderstanding by many when it comes to performance and scalability. The prime factor that determines performance is not how well you code, what tools/language you use, the h/w your c ode runs on, or anything like that. The prime factor that determines perform is the design of the data model - as it determines the complexity/ease to use the data model, and the amount of I/O (the slowest of all db operations) needed to effectively use the data model.

  • Getting the value of a child node in an array

    How do you get the value of a child node in an array titled "entries"?  I used to do this in AS2, and now I'm trying in AS3.  To top it off, I'm forced to use an XML format I'm unfamiliar with.  So I'm not sure how to access these nodes in AS3.  An example of the XML is;
       <Row>
        <Cell><Data ss:Type="String">Absorption Areas</Data></Cell>
        <Cell><Data ss:Type="String">Drain fields where left over liquid from the septic system soak into the ground.</Data></Cell>
       </Row>
    How would I access ether of the <Cell> rows?
    Thanks

    Given that you declared ss namespace (otherwise it will throw an error) you have two options:
    xml.Cell[0].Data - will output:
    Absorption Areas
    xml.Cell.Data will output:
    <Data ss:Type="String">Absorption Areas</Data>
    <Data ss:Type="String">Drain fields where left over liquid from the septic system soak into the ground.</Data>
    So, xml.Cell.Data[1] will output:
    Drain fields where left over liquid from the septic system soak into the ground.

I need to get the values for checked checkboxes and unchecked checkboxes. Because if i checked the checkboxes, those values need to be inserted into the database. Those for unchecked checkboxes values need to be deleted from the database. Can anyone help me for this
    i am using the following jsp code for this. If anyone can know about this please post me the sample code.
    <form name="confirmcontainer" id="confirmcontainer" method="post" action="submit.jsp">
    <% for(int i=0;i<value.length;i++) {%>
    <tr>
    <td><input name="assigncontainer_chkbox" d="assigncontainer _chkbox" type="checkbox" value="<%=value[0]%>"></td>
    <td class="bottomborder"><div align="center"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><%=value[1]%> </font></div></td>
    <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF" class="bottomborder"><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><%=value[2]%></font></td>
    </tr>
    <% } %>
