Hi all...
In windows os 'net send username message' command is used to send the message to target username..
How it get Remote machine address from username. or i need username from Remote machine address.
I think use LDAP in net.exe for getusername and remote machine information.. i dont know exactly wheather they are using LDAP or other technique...Finally How i get remote machine information (include currently logged username) by giving input as remote machine name...
if any body have a idea Plz Lert me Know...

The Netxxx commands are the old LanMan/Win32 networking calls.
IIRC When a user logged on to a workstation, that most derised of protocols, NetBIOS registered the username, machine name and possibly some other stuff with WINS. That enabled you to do something like Net Send Message and the message was actually delivered to the workstation at which the user had logged on.
Those Win32 calls are based on DCE RPC and not on LDAP so unlikely that you can invoke them via JNDI.
You may want to look at JCIFS, perhaps they support the equivalent of net send. I have no idea (nor interest) in what JCIFS can or cannot do.

Get Native Java Window using Java Access Bridge 2.0.1 & Java 1.6 and above

I want to get the native java window (Like Java Monkey Application and Java Ferret Application) using java only, for that I tried different ways/options but unable to get the native java window and perform actions on that.
It would be really great if you could guide me for that. I am still unable to start the Java Access Bridge.
Please let me know the steps to get native java window using Java Access bridge and JDK 1.6.20.
Also Note that, As per your previous suggestion, I tried to search and call initializeAccessBridge() and shutdownAccessBridge(), But unable to succeed it. I did not find such method in Accessbridge.jar.

Just like to know if it is possible to connect Oracle using SQL Plus with connection type as LDAP.
Generally we connect to Oracle in cmd window as
username/password@DBServiceName
Similarly is it possible to connect Oracle using SQL plus cmd window using LDAP configuration settings.
Eg:-
If my LDAP server is oid:123:456
Context is: cn=OracleContext,dc=abcdefgh,dc=com
DBService is: xyz

Specify the -L command line option to SQL*Plus, i.e.:
sqlplus -L username/password@db @blah.sql
(this will prevent the second prompt for username/password if the initial login is unsuccessful for any reason, like an invalid password).

Note that nowhere in the Boot Camp instructions does it tell you to use Disk Utility to format the Windows partition. The Boot Camp Assistant program creates the partition & sets the +partition scheme info+ of the disk as appropriate for the Windows installer but the Windows installer itself is responsible for formatting the new partition with the appropriate +file system scheme+ (NTFS for Windows 7).
If you follow the instructions in the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide to the letter you should have no problems installing Windows.

Filtering Groups on Windows Active Directory using LDAP Authentication

I have small module that filters the groups from the Windows AD using LDAP attributes and flushes the data into the DB[code below].
This module was developed and tested on weblogic 8.1[on windows]and works fine.
Now the same is moved to another environment- Websphere on Linux Suse. The code fails to retreieve any value from the Windows AD.
Please note no exception is aslo thrown.

Assuming it is the same Active Directory environment and only your Java platform has changed, the I can only assume that if no exception is thrown, and no data is returned, then the credentials you are using on the new Java platform are being mapped to an anonymous user (perhaps a blank password ?). By default, Windows Server 2003 domains, do not return any results to anonymous users.

Getting manager hierarchy using LDAP

I have a set of oracle email ids. I would like to get their manager hierarchy as well as Job title. Is this possible using LDAP. If so can someone please explain with a code snippet.

I didn't knew you could insert data such as the manager of a person when you create a person in LDAP? At least I don't recall that.
Anyhow you can access data in the LDAP using the DBMS_LDAP package in PL/SQL, so if the data is there you can reach it.

Although I have to say I think this data should just be kept in your own database tables, not in the LDAP, otherwise who knows what else your going to put inthere.

Most likely, you have a web plugin that depends on the Java runtime distributed by Apple, such as the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

That may be what is a fairly common problem of 2 devices mistakenly assigned the same address. Try shutting off all of the devices connected to your router, reboot the router and then the devices connected to it.

for Weblogic Personalization and Commerce 3.5.
Using the WLCS console, I've modified the config.xml file and following

I tried using Windows NT as a security realm but that gave me errors too.
Does anyone has any experience using anything other than the default Realm?

I'm not sure, but I suspect you can't
since this would create a circular dependency -
your realm would rely on the upper level security
checking calls but those calls would rely on your
realm.
My suggestion is to give it a try and see what
happens.

Login to Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 using LDAP or Activ Directory

Hello,
I want to configure my Oracle-Server that AD-users can login with username/password from AD. The users work on Windows, Linux and Mac Computer which are NOT connected to the AD and maybe use other username/password.
What is the easiest way to configure oracle to ask the AD over LDAP or whatever to check the login? I don´t want to change the AD-schema and if possible I don´t want to install OID or OVD.
With apache or postgres it is so easy to use LDAP. There mast be a way in Oracle, or not?

I tried downloading it for a second time, but this did'nt solve the problem.
Befor the CC version I used a one year student version of Adobe CS6.

In version 3.6 I can not open a website link from original page, I keep getting a new window that is blank and asking me to put in a web address. What has changed with the new version?

When on a page if I click on a web link I get a new window that is blank and asks me enter a web address. This started happening with the new 3.6 version. It seems to have something to do with what I choose for the location in my privacy settings as the window changes with each setting but I still cannot get to the new site. Any ideas? I have no problem with this in IE and I have to keep opening IE when I encounter the problem on Firefox which is annoying.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
