Getting an Array complex Type From a SOAPMessage using SAAJ

My question is can you do that?
I was able to put together a properly formatted message for a .NET SOAP service, send it, and get the response (without Fault), but from the response
SOAPMessage response = connection.call(message, endpoint);
I don't see how to get the array, and I can't find any example on the web any where using SAAJ. It's not an attachment, because
System.out.println("Number of attachments.... " + response.countAttachments() );
gives me
Number of attachments.... 0.
Has anybody seen an example on how to do this? I haven't seen any docs on this been looking for two days.

Hello,
It sounds like you want to get the body of that response SOAP Message. If i'm right then you should review the structure of a SOAP Message, it is something like..
<Message>
<Envelope>
<Header></Header>
<Body></Body>
</Envelope>
</Message>
That structure is basically a one without attachments. To get the body, SAAJ gives you a method (i don't quite recall it now) something like response. getEnvelope().getBody() and inside Body you should get the values you asked for.
Nonetheless, i'm gonna give you a great resource web page address... Good Luck!!!

  • Serializing derived complex types from XML

    Hi all,
    I am having a hard time serializing derived complex types
    from XML. I used the "Import Web Service" wizard to create proxy
    classes for the SOAP described elements.
    The XML that I am consuming comes from a .NET backed and
    include typing statements like this:
    <AssetType xsi:type="CarAssetType" />
    This element is always serialized as an instance of AssetType
    not an instance of CarAssetType.
    Does flex not support derived typing during XML
    serialization?
    Thanks for the help,
    Derek Basch

    You may need consume wsdl file or web service using the following steps to generate the corrected schemas:
     Right click to you BizTalk project
    Add->Add Generated Items..
    Consume WCF Service
    Select Metadata Exchange
    Add wsdl path

    Sorry Tom, I dont like to hear "There is no way" :-(
    There is always a way in computer to get what you need (at least it is good as Rule of thumb). I am not sure we will find it here (in a voluntary supporting forum).
    Now we (or better the architect of their system) should think of the way :-)
    Of course doing so in the forum, while we do know the system and only got a glimpse on what is needed, is not the best idea. I will point some issues which can be related to a solution. Those are not a solotions as it is but something we can use for a solution
    once something look in the right way.
    * A web connects counter is one of the easier thing to do. The basic idea is just to use the connect event and the disconnect event an adding 1 or removing 1 from the counter. This is best to do in the application using static variable as any way the second
    the application is down the counter can be go to hell as we know there is no one connect (there for a counter do not use database usually). Using a web dot-net (or asp 3) application this is done most of the time using the global.asa/global.asax file, which
    include the application and session events. for example using the method Session_Start
    protected void Session_Start(object sender, EventArgs e) {
    // Code that runs when a new session is started
    * IIS have a build-in loging system where we can log each and every request/response or only logins users. There is lot we can do with this log files including data mining. Using small bulk insert script we can use the SQL agent to insert those logs to the
    database and get the information we need.
    * any web developer i want to believe know about the Fiddler application which we use to monitor traffic. A proxy is not the only way to to monitor traffic (it is not good for our case as this is in the client side), there are several option in the server
    side.
    * SQL trigger on logon can be use to get information on who is loging on and can be logging only specific source (like our sharepoint IP or any sharepoint application). This information (what is the application which connect to the server can be retrive
    in several solution without using a trigger as well)
    *** (I'll be brief ... I'm getting bored... probably the reader feel the same)
    * using extended events and/or profiler we can monitor any connection and save the data or just remember it in shared (static) variable (this
    blog show how to do it by the way). Again we can monitor specific application or use any filter in order to get only the sharepoint users
    .... and i can continue for several days more :-) ...
    "If there is a willing, then there's a way"
    "If you can't do it, Then someone else probably can"
    "Never say never"
    I hope this help somehow :-)

    I am able to get file type, but I am getting MIME Type as */*
    Can any one please let me know how to get MIME Type, but it should not be time consuming process.

    String filePath = Util.createTempFile(fileName);
    RandomAccessFile raf = new RandomAccessFile(filePath, "rw");

         inStream.read(buf);
         raf.write(buf);
    inStream.close();
    raf.close();
    File file = new File(filePath);

    String fileType = chooser.getTypeDescription(file);
    file.delete();
    //MIME Type I am getting from

  • How to pass values to XML complex type of a Webservice using PL/SQL

    HI,
    I need to call a web service from PL/SQL that has an complex type element. That complex type element has 4 child elements each of integer type.
    I want to pass values for this complex type using SOAP_API.add_parameter but I can't understand how to pass the values.

              <xsd:complexType>

         </sequence>
    </complexType>
    Please help me in getting a solution here.
    Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried doing a google search on "SOAP_API.add_parameter" to see what comes back? I see a lot of hits come back so hopefully one of those will help you. I've never used soap_api as I used utl_http to make WS calls. This required me to build the SOAP message (aka XML of a specific nature) by hand and then pass it to the WS using utl_http. How this approach is done via SOAP_API, I can't say.

  • How can i get all java class names from a package using reflection?

    hi,
    can i get all classes name from a package using reflection or any other way?
    If possible plz give the code with example.

    You can't, because the package doesn't have to be on the local machine. It could be ANYWHERE.
    For example, via a URLClassLoader (ie from the internet) I could load a class called:
    com.paperstack.NobodyExpectsTheSpanishInquisitionI haven't written it yet. But I might tomorrow. How are you going to determine if that class is in the package?
    This subject comes up a lot. If you want to do something a bit like what you're asking for (but not quite) there are plenty of threads on the subject. Use google and/or the forum search facility to find them.
    But the answer to your question, as you asked it, is "you can't do that".

    Hi,
    Include a step in your job and have a program which checks if a job is already running. If yes do not start the next instance of the same job.
    in the custom program just call function module
       CALL FUNCTION 'ZBC_JOB_ALREADY_RUNNING'
          EXPORTING
             JOBNAME           = p_job
          IMPORTING
             JOB_RUNNING       = w_count
          EXCEPTIONS
             JOB_NOT_SPECIFIED = 1
             OTHERS            = 2.
    Code within FM ->
       select count(*)
       into   job_running
       from   tbtco
       where  jobname = jobname
       and    status  = 'R'.
    where p_job is the job name.
    w_count is current running job count. If its greater than 1, then stop the 2nd with an error message.

  • Try to get an array of object from phpservices.lastResult

    Hi,
    I developed a php service which retrevies data from a database in MySQL, the service is working properly because I setup the php service using "Data/Services" wizard. I tested the operation of the service and I can get the data using "Test operations" with the "Data/Services" tab.
    What I am trying to do is to use lastResult to get the data, but I always get null.
    Below is the code:
    private  function Setabcd():void
    {getSecondMenuItemsResult2.token = bpmpServices.getSecondMenuItems(2);
    var bcd:Array = getSecondMenuItemsResult.lastResult;
    What I am trying to do in the above code is to get the lastResult result and save to an array object.
    Please advise.

    Hello Peter,
    Now I have got it sorted, I have taken your comments and tried the result handler and fault handler and have written an article in here http://blog.aboutknowledge.com/2011/05/26/actionscript-flex-4-5-connect-mysql-with-php-usi ng-result-handler/ :-)

  • Pass complex types from Java to C++

    Hi,
    I am new to JNI and I read some online documentation. I was wondering how difficult it is to pass complex Java types to C++ functions. I guess I need to map the Java class to a C++ class somehow. I could not find any useful examples that do this. For example, I have the Java classes:
    class SomeClassA
       double someFieldA;
    class SomeClassB
       ArrayList<SomeClassA> collA;
       double someFieldB;
    }Now I would like to map this to the following C++ class:
    class some_class_a
      double _some_field_a;
    class some_class_b
      vector<some_class_a> _coll_a;
      double _some_field_b;
    };I do not need to access Java objects from my C++, I just want the objects to be "serialized" into C++ objects.
    Is there an example that does something like this? Or should I use something different than JNI?
    Thank you,
    Andrej

    I do not need to access Java objects from my C++, I just want the objects to be "serialized" into C++ objects.Then you need to access java objects.
    Is there an example that does something like this? Write java code to access the data of the object (and via that the sub collection).
    That code represents exactly the same thing that you must do in JNI calls in your C code. Naturally excluding populating the C structures themselves of course. Most a matter of calling methods and accessing attributes. That is all in the JNI docs and there are plenty of examples of both of those.

            Class<Test2> c = Class.forName("Test2");
    }Of course, this doesn't compile:
    javac -Xlint Test2.java
    Test2.java:4: incompatible types
    found   : java.lang.Class<capture#965 of ?>
    required: java.lang.Class<Test2>
            Class<Test2> c = Class.forName("Test2");Other than casting to Class and suppressing the unchecked warning, how can I get the code to do what I think should be a common use case? I try
    public class Test2 {
        void foo() throws ClassNotFoundException {
            Class<Test2> c = Class.forName("Test2").asSubclass(Test2.class);
    }Which doesn't compile either:
    javac -Xlint Test2.java
    Test2.java:4: incompatible types
    found   : java.lang.Class<capture#400 of ? extends Test2>
    required: java.lang.Class<Test2>
            Class<Test2> c = Class.forName("Test2").asSubclass(Test2.class);Not sure I understand what the javac error is about.
    Help!

    This is just a simplified version of what I had. The name of the class being loaded is unknown at compile time, though it is known to implement an interface. Isn't this a common use case?Yes, its' quite common.

  • Getting 2D array of data in tabular format using web services

    Hi all,
    I was trying to fetch data from MS access database and populate the same 2D array of data on my web browser. But unfortunately it says that the 2D array is not a "supported data type" for web applications and hence the 'build fails'.
    I would like to know if there is any method to represent my 2D data in a tabular format in my web broweser using the webservices. Needless to say, it can give such a good readiability!!!

    I have implemented your solution and it works fine. :D Your solution would work as well, but it is bad in performance... See this...

    What my question is why I was not able to access particular element( E.g. 1st location of RecAdvGrp Array ).... ?? You should be able to do ./ReceiptAdviceRoot/ReceiptAdvGrp[1]/SYSHAN, and even ./ReceiptAdviceRoot/ReceiptAdvGrp[$index]/SYSHAN

    And Why my forEach $index variable was not accessible inside the Insert Activity....??? What make you believe it wasn't accessible? I reckon you were just not doing the right xpath expression...

  • How to get an object of choice from XML data using XMLBean?

    I have xml schema and I have generated a jar to represent my schema using XMLBean. I also have few xml data files, these are valid xml for generated schema. Now I want to write a utility which takes xml file as input and returns an object of my choice (Assuming this Object type is available in the jar) as output and vice versa. Some thing like this –
    1. Object getObjectFromXML(File xmldatafile, Class classname)
    xmldatafile = presents the source of XML data
    classname = an object of this class type as output filled from the xml data.
    2. String getXMLStrFromObject(Object)
    Pass Object and get XML as String output
    Any pointer?
    Thanks,

    Hi! Maybe have a look at the documentation for XmlObject.Factory.parse(). It should allow you what you need to do.
