Getting reading from HP34401A

I'm trying to get a reading from hp 34401 a digital multimeter through serial port and the version of labview I'm using is 6.1 with windows 2000. When I run I got the following message "Error -1073807331 occurred at Property node (arg 9) in HP34401A Initialize.vi -> HP34401A Getting Started.vi". I went to the site: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/83974d03b5224b55c1256c2f00555ff8?OpenDocument to download a new version but it still gives me the same error. Any suggestion?

  • Where do php files get read from locally?

    i've installed and tested php on 10.3.9 and it works. i'd like to parse my php files locally. i believe on older os vesions it was the 'sites' folder, but it doesn't seem to work now. where can i place my web files to test? do i have to move everything to library/apache2/htdocs?
    thank you!

    i am not running apache2 at the moment, but i am assuming the problem could result from the fact that mod_userdir.so (or its apache2 equivalent) is not enabled in your apache install, nor are your config files setup to point to the sites folder of your $HOME. for apache 1.3.x, the config file should contain something like the following after enabling mod_userdir.so. this would be particularly true if you compiled from source.
    # UserDir: The name of the directory which is appended onto a user's home
    # directory if a ~user request is received.
    <IfModule mod_userdir.c>
    UserDir Sites
    </IfModule>
    assuming you have also added the .php and .phps file types (and whatever else you want), this should get you setup.
    again - a bit of a disclaimer - i am not currently running apache2.

  • Unable to read from JMS queue on Solaris

    Hi all,
    I am experiencing a strange issue with JMS and Oracle 10gR2 (single server) on Solaris.
    The design is simple, 1 server multiple clients communication via 2 queues (P2P domain). Each client has a session ID and can read messages from the queue that have been tagged with the proper session ID.
    I guess is simpler to show the code involved:
    @Override
    public void becomeSender(String queueName) throws JMSException {
    setDestination(((AQjmsSession) getSession()).getQueue(null, queueName));
    ((AQjmsDestination) getDestination()).start(getSession(), true, true);
    setProducer(((AQjmsSession) getSession()).createSender((Queue) getDestination()));
    getProducer().setDeliveryMode(DeliveryMode.NON_PERSISTENT);
    @Override
    public void becomeReceiver(String queueName, String sessionID) throws JMSException, JMSConnectorException {
    setDestination(((AQjmsSession) getSession()).getQueue(null, queueName));
    ((AQjmsDestination) getDestination()).start(getSession(), true, true);
    setConsumer(((AQjmsSession) getSession()).createReceiver((Queue) getDestination(), getReceiverSessionPredicate(sessionID)));
    getConnection().start();
    public static final String jmsReceiverSessionProperty = "msgReceiverSession";
    public static final String jmsSenderSessionProperty = "msgSenderSession";
    public static String getReceiverSessionPredicate(String sessionID) throws JMSConnectorException {
    if (sessionID == null) {
    throw new JMSConnectorException("Session ID must be provided!");
    return jmsReceiverSessionProperty + " = '" + sessionID + "' OR " + jmsReceiverSessionProperty + " = '" + TransferMessage.TARGET_ANY_RECEIVER + "'";
    and the code that sends the message
    public void sendMessage(TransferMessage aMessage) throws JMSException, IOException {
    BytesMessage aMsg = createBytesMessage();
    aMsg.setStringProperty(jmsReceiverSessionProperty, aMessage.getReceiverSessionID());
    aMsg.setStringProperty(jmsSenderSessionProperty, getSessionID());
    sendMessage(aMsg);
    Everything works great in Windows XP/7/2008 server 64 virtual machine or not but it fails in Solaris.
    The messages are written to the queue as I can see them in the queue table but they never get read from the queue...Oh I missed a bit of information, I use onMessage to handle new message on queues.
    The Solaris server is at client environment and I have no remote access to it.
    I can run my my simple connectivity tests on a Solaris instance if anyone care to provide me with credentials and 2 queues or even better I can send the jars to run on local environment.
    Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,
    Eddie

    In the iTunes window, when I update my nano ipod, I get an error message "User ipod cannot be updated.  The disk could not be read from or written to."   How can I overcome this error message.

    Hello there dilip77707,
    It sounds like you are getting this error message that your iPod cannot be read from or written to when you are trying to update your iPod Nano. I recommend the troubleshooting from the following article to help you get that resolved. Its pretty straight forward, just start at the top and work your way down as needed:
     'Disk cannot be read from or written to' when syncing iPod or 'Firmware update failure' error when updating or restoring iPod

  • I tunes: when trying to burn a playlist I keep getting the message: the attempt to burn a disc failed. The disc could not be read from or written to. I am using version 12

    I tunes: I am using version 12 of I tunes. Ever since downloading it I get the message when trying to burn a playlist it says, The attempt to burn a disc failed. The disc could not be read from or written to.
    I uninstalled V-12 and then reinstalled it. This enabled me to burn a disc again but after a couple of tries I received the same error message again. Has Apple put out a fix to this problem that anyone is aware of?
    Thanks.

    Hi rossfrombluffton,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!  The resource below provides some general things to consider when burning a disc with iTunes.  I would also try burning a music CD and a data disc from a different application in the Windows OS and trying a different brand CD just to confirm the issue is not with the optical drive.
    Can't burn a CD in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-ae/HT203173
    Find out what to do if you can't burn an audio CD using iTunes for Windows. Sometimes an audio disc may not burn as expected. Here are some things to check.
    Update iTunes
    Download and install the latest version of iTunes for Windows.Check for unauthorized songs
    iTunes will stop burning a disc if you purchased one or more of the songs in a playlist from the iTunes Store and the songs aren't authorized to play on your computer. This message should appear: "Some of the files can not be burned to an audio CD. Do you still want to burn the remainder of this playlist? For more information on why some files can not be burned, click below."
    To find out which songs aren't authorized, play each song in the playlist. Songs that play are authorized. Songs that don't play aren't authorized. You'll be asked to authorize any unauthorized songs.Make sure your playlist will fit on a single CD
    If there are too many songs in a playlist to fit on a single CD, iTunes should ask if you want to burn multiple discs or cancel the burn. This message should appear: "The songs in this playlist will not fit on one Audio CD. Do you want to create multiple Audio CDs with this playlist split across them? This will require more than one blank CD to complete."
    If you click the Audio CDs button, the burn will continue and you'll be asked to insert blank CDs until the playlist is completely burned. If you click cancel, the burn will be canceled.
    To make the playlist shorter so that it will fit on a single CD, select a song to remove from the playlist and choose Edit > Clear. Repeat this step until the duration of the playlist is between 60 and 80 minutes. The duration appears at the top of the playlist window. Most CD-R discs can hold 60 to 80 minutes of music.
    Check how many times you've burned the playlist
    An unchanged playlist that contains songs purchased from the iTunes Store can be burned no more than seven times.Additional steps and submitting feedback

    I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. Thanks for your assistance. If there is another Adobe reader I should download and install, could you provide me with the link to it? I appreciate your assistance here
    == When I download and try to read a .pdf file and when I am asked to turn off all Firefox files and if I do, I lose them since I need to know how to save them without rebooting my computer.

    Brilliant! Problem solved! Thanks so much.

  • Why do I get IOException on nio read from channel before all data is read?

    I am working on an NIO based http client library but I've noticed two problems.
    #1: I have been testing against an http server that has authentication turned on. Hence, any request that comes its way will respond with a '401 Authentication Required' response. In the case of a POST, I've noticed that this particular http server does not wait for the body to arrive before responding. As soon as it gets the headers, it dumps the 401 response onto the channel and closes the connection. My library then gets an IOException on the next write to the channel even though I've received write interest event. (I'm using non blocking mode)
    Whether I get the exception depends on timing. Sometimes, my writes work and the exception is averted. Sometimes not. The longer I delay since the time I get the write interest event, the more likely it is the exception will occur.
    Now, in this situation, I really think it's the http server that is violating the http protocol. I give a valid content length that is not zero but it does not wait for me to finish my request. The moment I write the last empty line of the header section, it responds and closes the channel. Even though I don't think this is correct, my library has to deal with it. So in this situation, I've decided my library will abandon the write phase and move on to reading the response.
    NOTE: In the majority of cases, a client would have already authenticated by landing on some page that could produce a POST in the first place. However, for technical reasons I can't mention here, I must support the case that the very first (unathenticated) request to the server is a POST.
    2) After #1 above occurs, reading from the channel will also throw an IOException but only on Windows. Sometimes I get the headers only, sometimes the whole document, sometimes nothing. Again, the longer I delay reading (since the time I get the read interest event) the more likely it is the exception will be thrown. This NEVER happens on Linux. I always get the full response on Linux after the #1 happens even if I put long delays between reads.
    I can understand #1 happening but #2 should not. I can always see the complete response data on the wire using a network protocol analyser. The data is there every time but my library doesn't always get it.
    In situation 2, there is nothing I can do. If I don't receive the data, I have to respond with an error even though the request was successful.
    I have stripped down my library to the bare essentials and can reproduce the problem in a self-contained environment every time.
    Any ideas why the discrepency between Windows/Linux? Does this seem right?

    I read through the section you mentioned. I realize the connection may be dropped at any time. Handling this is no problem. It is reported as an exception to the client. However, this situation is different. I still see no provision that allows a server to respond to a half written request. A request is defined to include an optional message body (Section 5). The client dictates whether it is optional, not the server. Furthermore, section 6 clearly states "After receiving and interpreting a request message, a server responds with an HTTP response message.". To me, this implies the server must wait for the entire request before responding even if its a waste of time. This particular server is attempting to short circuit what I see is the required request/response cycle. In doing so, it is causing me some pain in trying to deliver its response since it seems on windows this interferes with my ability to read it.
    The simple answer to this is to process reads before writes, i.e. OP_READ before OP_WRITE. I tried this as well. Originally, I was not even registering READ interest while I was writing my request. (I saw no reason to. I don't want to give my client a response while they are writing their request.) But even when I do register READ interest while I'm writing (and process read events before write), the read event still produces no data and no eof (-1) indication on the read. The discrepency between linux and windows is bothering me. No matter what I do, I can't deliver the response even though its written to the channel by my peer. I think I will supply some code and see if anyone can get it to work on windows.Edited by: r2rossi on Sep 24, 2008 10:42 AMEdited by: r2rossi on Sep 24, 2008 10:43 AM

  • When backing up lightroom 4 catalog, get message "lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit" this occurs during optimization stage of backup

    i upgraded from lightroom 4 to lightroom 5 and installed it on a separate hard drive. Initially had no problems util my computer crashed due to the failure of the drive on which Lightroom 5 was installed. Since having my computer rectified, i am unable to use lightroom 5 getting the message "lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit"
    I can still use lightroom 4, however, i get the same message when i try to backup the catalog. This occurs during the optimisation phase of backup.
    I suspect it is related to Lightroom 5 creating a catalog from the Lightroom 4 files and cannot now locate those files or that they have been corrupted.
    Would appreciate any solutions / suggestions.

    It isn't a file, it's a folder. It will have the same name as your catalog, but will have the extension data. It will be in the same folder along with your catalog. If you need to use the search feature to search for *.lrdata.

  • When starting Lirghtroom 5 I get the following error message each time: "Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit.  Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches."  It never launches.

    Title says it all.  Lightroom shuts down because it can't read from its preview cache.
