GetURL Broken after download

Question

I have several flash movies that use the getURL command to
update the page. I also have a link to download the data being
displayed to the users computer. If I do not click on the download
link then the getURL calls work perfectly. However when I do click
on the link, to save the data, the get URL commands break. The
getURL calls are calling javascript so I thought that might be the
problem, so to test that out I put in a static link to yahoo and
they still didnt work. A couple more interesting twists are if I
click the link, and have it set to open the download in a new
window the getURL calls on the main window still work. And if I add
a second link that just calls a javascript alert() then it fixes
the getURL calls.
Im using this to download the file, well this is where it
appears to break.

Any suggestions or has anyone seen a bug like this before?
The two features dont appear to share anything in common.

Hi Norbert,
Getting back to your report layout download problem - there is an issue with certain versions of the database, which causes CLOB_TO_BLOB conversion to not always work properly (bug 7459168). This is what is causing the download of your RTF documents to produce invalid results. The files in your database are not affected by this, it's only an issue on export. To work around this database bug we've filed bug 20931298, and we've implemented a fix for this, which will be available with out first patch set, APEX 5.0.1. As usual, I do not have a date yet when this will be available. Can I ask what version of the database you are currently using?
