Gif photos

I put a GIF photo on my ipod but when I look at it all I see is the still image and it doesnt move. What should I do so I can see it move

y dont u some how convert that gif file in any video file and put it in video folder....that is if u have a vipod...cheers

How to know if a photo in iphoto is a gif

Hey, this may be a stupid question but I've been saving gifs on my phone for a while now and when I synched them onto my laptop, I have no way of figuring out which ones are gifs and which one aren't. Is there a way to determine this? Thanks

Can not view my photos in iPhoto. All photos are black

I have an iPad 3 and I can not view my photos. I can view them through the photo stream on my phone but on my iPad they come up black. I'm not sure what to do.

Anybody have any idea what's going on? Is gif supported? Should I be able to view gif photos? If I can't what might be going wrong, and what can I do to fix it?

Help - My photos are not printing properly - highly pixelated ty

I have a new installation of PSE 10. With my ancient Photoshop 6.0, photos printed fine in black & white on 20lb bond paper using my HP LaserJet 2100TN. With PSE 10 my jpg & gif photos are printing in lrg pixels similar to a newspaper comic rather than normally. I can't figure out what settings need to be changed. Any ideas out there?
The color photo is the actual jpg, and the blk & wht is a photo I just took of how it printed.

I still have my ancient Photoshop 6.0.1 copyright 1989-2001 installed, and when I use it, it prints o.k. (well, not beautiful, but looks like a photo ). If I print through windows it's o.k. too, it's just PSE 10 that it's pixellated like that, which is why I think it must have something to do with PSE 10. The black & white photo above that shows the pixels, is actually a photograph that I took of the printout. What I did with the one below is to print it on paper, scan the printout to PDF, then opened the PDF in PSE10 and saved it as JPG then uploaded it here. so it is more "true"

Convert GIF to JPEG

Can anyone recommend a free software program that will convert some GIF photos to JPEG's? Thanks for your help.

Open each GIF in Preview, which is located in the Applications folder, choose Save As from the File menu, choose JPEG as the format, and click Save.

Importing Targas - PSE 12

I click open and navigate to the file I want (a Targa) and select enable all documents and when I select it it says Could not complete your request because Photoshop Elements does not recognize this type of file. Can I not import targas???? Please help!

it's not, sorry--although if i told it in its entirety it might be one of the most unbelievably corrupt, at least in the 21st century, postmodern world of the west. i wont, dont worry. i just have a question.

how does one tell if one's machine has been hacked/elsewise compromised?
is it possible for someone to do this easily? remotely?
against my better desire for a perfect world, my machine is password protected. we do have a router; it is also password protected & insulated by its own personal firewalls. i am pretty decent, if not ever perfect, at setting up my machine, its preferences, etc & ect. i should be--i've been using one for fourteen years. over the past few months i have been noticing what i consider quite peculiar peculiarities--after restart i see that, while they are still where i left them, all my desktop files have also been copied into another folder, usually called jnmhipza.default ([or a variation thereof]), although sometimes [p'[]] will do ([or a variation thereof]). files i have either never seen or knowingly created also arise ([ie copies of bookmarks, etc & ect]).
a few days ago i was also, strangely, unable to install my new printer ([this is a first]), even after using at least four different usb cables & firewire cables &..... all of a sudden i was also unable to write cds. may i note that this was before i was due to appear in court, documents in hand, against someone who was the filthiest of tricksters i have ever encountered? they want condos. i have an apartment. they got their condo out of me, at least.
last note: thinking i might entertain them w/ a little bit of merzbow, i pumped up the volume just a wee wee little bit. really, now, anyone should like merzbow--i was tired & went to lie down. all of a sudden i heard what i thought was either a shot or a can of coca cola exploding in my freezer ([this was not on the cd]). i came back to my imac--the volume was down by three quarters.

i agree. it may have been compromised. i am unsure, myself & if so, if that compromise was done by breaking in etherly or via the more traditional front door.
i thoroughly agree about the wired router & will buy one tomorrow. i have been running a belkin wireless (largely b/c years ago i was a designer for belkin & was fond of the vice president) but this will immediately change. i will take better precautions as far as protecting my user ([me]). i deeply appreciate yr helpful suggestions & they shall be put into use. you have done yr Good Deed of the Day, if you like.
i keep no financial info on my computer. one of the reasons i have been less circumspect than many about all of this is that i found the whole thing funny--they can have copies of my ([public]) koehnline animated gifs & photos of the various Hair Bands that once employed my significant other. they can have copies of the images i downloaded from NASA's Astronomy Photo of the Day. they can have copies of [pass the dust, i think i'm bowie] by [the metrosquad] led by the long dead [black randy]. long ago i gave up on limewire & began to use e-music or rhapsody--i do not even download software. were it not for the tenant/landlord 'dispute' in which one side employed tactics i thought went out w/ Fred Hampton {[or richard nixon]}, i wouldnt care if the entire world hacked my computer. its contents are about as worrisome as the avatar i chose to represent me. now, though.....
now though, when we leave ([ASAP]), i will run yr Little Snitch to see what, if anything, happened. this was a spooking experience. i can prove nothing, but i am curious. i have learned more about this postpostmodern world than ever i wanted to know. for that i am sorrowed; though, redux, for yr kind assistance i am grateful.

Copy Graphics

Hello,
Is there a JComponent that will allow me to copy/past graphics to it?
I know I can copy/paste text in JTextArea and JTextPane, but what about a gif photo for example? Any pointers or links will be appreciated.

You can create your own "JComponent" that will hold your graphics.
Here's how to create it:

CDATA tags

In the examples in the designers workshop, they use the
example.xml file which has a feature tage containing a CDATA tag
full of html code. which renders in a spry widget just fine.
After installing the prerelease, I can not get the CDATA tags
to render any html or .css code. anyone else have this
problem??

If i simply list the items no setting columns just the
sorting in dsEvents and don't use spry:choose I get a nice list
that is sortable.

Does Photo Stream support GIFs?

I'm trying to add a GIF image to my photo stream by putting it in the Uploads folder on my PC, but it won't come up on my iPod Touch. Does photo stream even support GIFs, and if so, any guesses to why it might not be working? It has worked with JPGs before.

How come gifs don't work when you save it in photo album

IPhoto won't import jpeg or gif, or any common photo types, from backup CD

I recently had my hard drive replaced. I had backed up all of my photos on a CD, but iPhoto gives an error message when I try to import some of the jpegs and gifs to the new HD: "The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type or the files may not contain valid data". Is this a software issue?

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library - start at the first option and try each one in order

Can you play .GIF in Photos?

I mean it's 2015, you should be bloody able to play them in the photos app in both iOS and OSX. Just sayin'

Hi,
No that should not be the case. Now thats not to say some manufacturers don't 'throttle' power usage when your laptop is not docked or mains powered to prolong battery life. But from a point of view of charging it shouldn't be an issue. As it takes approx 4 hours to charge a MPhoto chances are your laptops battery will not last through the full re-charge cycle anyway.
If you are looking at prolonged periods with out access to mains you'll probably find availing of the replacable battery facility and aspare battery or two fully charged before departure will be a much better option.
