Go back one year off a date?

I have this field {?End Date} and want go back a year. I can do {?End Date} - 365 or is there a better method?

You can use the dateadd function:

  • Calendar events only go back one year in list view

Although visible in day & month views, calendar events only go back only about one year. And this also seems to preclude them from searches.
This seems to have been reported since 2008, and still exists in iOS 5. Any insight? Or do I need to switch back to Win Mobile?

In my calendar viewing in a list, I can see days back and forth.
View a list of events.  In month view, tap to see a day’s events. In day view, tap .

  • One year history of data.....

Hello, I have created code that produces a table containing one day´s data of fx rates and their values, below is an example of one row in the table:
    2007-11-21, TMS2000     , REUTER, FX SEK,SEK/USD, 0,1590432
All well so far. Now I want to create one year history of trading days for fx rates and their values, that is some kind of loop that adds to the table for every new trading day.
One long solution is to create a table and manually insert all the trading days, and then use a cursor to read all the dates and so forth, but that takes time.
Anyone with some kind of idea how I can do this in a simple and efficient manner?
    All help is greatly appreciated!
    best regards
    Harald

Ok, sorry, here comes the hardware. The code below creates one day of fx rates for 2007-11-21. I want to have one year of data for all trading days (i.e. monday to friday, maybe some more special condition but roughly monday to friday):
    CREATE TABLE fx_rates_daily AS
    SELECT ex.price_date,
      ex.price_type,
      ex.price_source,

  • Cannot find my calendar events older than one year. Where are they ad how do I get them back?

I cannot find my old events on iCal. It seems it only goes back one year. How can I find them and recover my information and events going back further than that?

    Greetings,
Sorry to hear about the missing data.
If you don't see your events there are 2 possibilities:
1.) There is something wrong with the calendar cache
2.) The events have been deleted
First go to iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events.. -- see if this has been checked as this deletes events after a point in time you specify.  Even if this is not checked now, if it was ever checked in the past, that will delete events.
To reset iCal's cache and settings in the hope this will bring the events back:
    1. First make an iCal backup:  Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal 1 at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
    2. Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
    Home > Library > Caches > com.apple.ical
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache if present)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
---NOTE: Removing these files may remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.
If the events do not come back then the information you are looking for is truly not in iCal.  You will need to restore from a backup (like TimeMachine) from a point in time before the events in question went missing.
If you do not maintain backups of your computer, start now.
Depending on how long ago these events were deleted from iCal you can try using data recovery to bring the files back although as these are past events, you may find that just moving forward from here is simplier than going through the effort but that is of course up to you to decide.
Here are a few examples of data recovery programs:

You can contact a local Apple Authorized Provider to see if they offer data recovery services: http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service/
There are many nationwide / worldwide data recovery companies out there.  Here are a few examples:

  • Why don't I get search results beyond one year on my calendar?

Why will calendar search results and event lists only go back one year?

The work around that I use, is to go into settings / Date & Time - turn off Set Automatically and set the Date and time to a year (or two) prior to today’s date.  It’s not ideal but it worked for me.

  • ST03 N for Transaction usage since one year

    Hi gurus,
I know we can do transaction usage analysys for a period say like year...In ST03 or ST03 N but i forgot how to do thta...could u please tell me how to find out A transaction is been used by which user since one year or some x period of time..
    Thank you

2 ideas come to my mind :
One year ! As data is probably exported to a file before being purged, ST03N won't help you. It's better to analyze the exported file (admins usually export to excel file, so that they are able to compare performance at different times, for example to make sure response time does not increase).
In ST03N, there is a "transaction profile" view or something like that, but I don't think you can get a 2 dimensional table with user and transaction (as ST03N is performance-oriented)

I think you can get Windows 7 for around $99. Install the 64bit version as the 32bit version will not be able to use all your new computer's ram if you have more than about 3.5gb.
Back up your quick books data now before the old hard drive dies. You can copy your data over to your new installation of Windows and quick books.
By the way, there is quick books for Mac http://quickbooks.intuit.com/mac/?sc=BNR-000-COR-quickbooks&priorityCode=4902000 000&cid=ppc_google_QB-Intuit-Core-Brand-Mac_quick-books-for-mac_exact&site=&ad_i d=9347918288&raw_keyword=quick%20books%20for%20mac
So you may not need to install Windows at all.

Did you create these notes in the iPad notes App ... I assume?
This support article will explain how you can restore from a backup - which is what you have to do in order to have any chance of recovering your note.
How to backup and restore from a backup
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
But you have to remember, that you will lose any of the notes that you have taken since the date of the last backup. If you synced your iPad last week, then you will lose a whole week of current notes - or whatever notes you have created since your last backup. When you restore from a backup - you restore everything in that backup onto the iPad - that was on the iPad on the time and date of the backup.
If you backup every day, then all of your notes should be recoverable from the backup - except for any notes that you took since you last backed up. There is no foolproof way to recover everything once you start taking more notes or creating new documents or whatever that you do in an app unless you are syncing those notes with iCloud and backing up all of the time or unless the app is set to sync with iCloud as you work on the files - like in Pages, Numbers or Keynote - Apple's iWorks apps.
If you decide to restore from an iTunes backup you should turn off at sync before you try restoring because iTunes will want to backup your iPad right away when you plug it in and you will lose your old or last backup.

  • I have ios 7 and lately when im turning off cellular data for some apps when i leave settings and go back in they have turned on back again by themselves. It appears as if i cant turn off cellular data for the apps i want. Any tips?

I have ios 7 and lately when i go to settings-cellular and try to turn off cellular data for some apps it doesnt work. As i turn off cellular data for one app immideately after i exit settings and re-enter settings cellular data for that same app goes back on again by itself. That happens for most of my apps and is reqlly annoying. Whats more annoying is that when i am not using wifi even though the settings for cellular data for safari or facebook or some other app are turned on (since i cant turn them off as i mentioned) i get the message that cellular data is turned off for this app and i cant use the internet at all on cellular data. I have reset to factory settings and restored from backup and the problem persists. Is there some help or tips you can offer me?

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm considering wiping it and setting it up as a new device.

  • IPhone Calendar List View Extends Back Only One Year

My iPhone calendar List view extends back approximately one year despite the fact that I have calendar entries extending back to 1999 and that older data is visible under the Day and Month views. This is a problem because the only search mechanism in iPhone calendar is through the List view. Therefore, any search I conduct extends back only to the data in the List view ... which means back only one year.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how I could change this such that the List view extends to include ALL of my calendar entries and is in conformity with the Day and Month views? (I wanted to ask if anyone knows how to "correct" this, but perhaps Apple has designed it this way to speed-up the searching in List view ... I'm not certain.)
I am currently running the most recent iOS update, am syncing my iPhone calendar via MobileMe, have upgraded to the new version of the MobileMe calendar, and have ALREADY reset my sync. history, deleted my iPhone calendar and re-synced it, etc. These don't resolve the problem.

I've noticed that the date to which the List View will "look back" will change depending on software updates or syncs.
For instance, a few weeks ago my List View went back to December 2009 ... now it goes back to Jan. 2010 (i.e. I lost a month of "look back"). I do not specifically recall what triggered this change, but I reset my sync. log during this period.
If you make no changes to the sync. log or update the software, the List View start date will stay constant I believe. For instance, if the List View goes back to Jan. 1, 2010 right now it should stay that way until you reset the sync. log or update the iPhone software. Theoretically then the List View can "look back" much longer than 12 months assuming you make no changes to the sync. log or update the software. Of course, this doesn't address our issue here, but I thought I would point out that there seems to be a consistent pattern here and not some random bug screwing things up.
I'm still thinking that this is the way Apple intended it to work. In other words, that Apple felt it necessary to limit the calendar search feature to approximately 12 months worth of calendars. I hope I'm wrong.

  • Optical drive on iMac at work, barely one year old, won't read CD's....disc utilities shows disc unavailable!  Rarely used and out of warranty, what a rip off!!  I have been on MACS since the 80's and things are getting more and more difficult

Optical drive on iMac at work, barely one year old, won't read CD's....disc utilities shows disc unavailable!  Rarely used and out of warranty, what a rip off!!  I have been on MACS since the 80's and things are getting more and more difficult to deal with. Why did it quit after barely being used? Any help from Apple?

It depends on what you mean by "barely one year old". If the iMac is only a couple of days out of warranty, Apple's been known to make exceptions and extend the warranty, though it's by no means guaranteed. If it's several days or more out of warranty, then Apple will fix it, if it's a hardware problem, but the repair won't be free. This is no different now then it would have been with a Mac purchased back in the 80s.
Why the drive failed, if indeed it has, is impossible to say. Could have been a static shock, a weak component that failed when power was applied, or a mechanical fault in one of the tiny parts used in optical drives and hard drives that finally broke.
    Regards.

  • Adding days to a date causes it to be set back a year.

    Hello,
I have the following problem on Oracle 10g. I run the following statment that adds 1 year to a date but, unless I format it, the date comes back with one year less than it should.
    SQL> select effective_date, (effective_date + interval '1' year(1)) as addyear, add_months(to_date(to_char(effective_date, 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), 12) as addyearformat
       from price_change
            where
            price_change_id = '794328'   ;
    EFFECTIVE_DATE  ADDYEAR         ADDYEARFORMAT
28-SEP-09       28-SEP-08       28-SEP-10Has anyone else ever seen something like this?
Effective_date is a date type and has data in the format 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'. I think it is something with the format, maybe something to do with the time zone - not sure. If I just insert a value into the table with the format 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS' I don't have this problem. I don't know how the date could have been changed to cause this but I do know it goes through a time zone function before being inserted into this table though I don't know if that is causing the problem.
Not sure if it matters but nls_database_parameters...
    PARAMETER VALUE
    NLS_DATE_FORMAT dd-mon-rr
    NLS_TIMESTAMP_FORMAT DD-MON-RR HH.MI.SSXFF AM
    NLS_TIMESTAMP_TZ_FORMAT DD-MON-RR HH.MI.SSXFF AM TZR
    NLS_TIME_FORMAT HH.MI.SSXFF AM
    NLS_TIME_TZ_FORMAT HH.MI.SSXFF AM TZR
Thanks for any help in advance.

Funny, but I think somehow your dates are BC:
    with price_change as (
                          select to_date('28-SEP-09 BC','dd-mon-yy bc') effective_date from dual
    select  effective_date,
            (effective_date + interval '1' year(1)) as addyear,
            add_months(to_date(to_char(effective_date, 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), 12) as addyearformat
      from  price_change
    EFFECTIVE ADDYEAR   ADDYEARFO
    28-SEP-09 28-SEP-08 28-SEP-10
    SQL> Issue:
    select  to_char(effective_date,'mm/dd/yyyy bc')
      from  price_change
      where price_change_id = '794328'
