    Hi octavio,
    Thanks for your valuable input.
You are right and also I found from metalink...
Subject: 11.5-AR-How Can You Enter Payment Terms For Credit Memos
    Doc ID: 249547.1 Type: HOWTO
    Modified Date: 16-DEC-2003 Status: PUBLISHED
goal: How can you enter payment terms for Credit memos
    fact: Oracle Receivables 11.5
    fix:
Payment terms cannot be used in Credit memos. This is standard functionality.
The trx_date/gl_date of the credit memo transaction is the date which is
considered as the due date of the credit memos. This is the current
    functionality.

Why do you keep making multiple posts with this issue? You have now posted it three times in the last hour and have two different people helping you in two different threads!

  • FB10 - Default payment term for Credit memo

    Hi,
I have question regarding the Payment terms in FB10- Credit memo entry (KG).
You must be aware that when we use F-43 or FB60 for posting Vendor Invoices (Document type KR), the payment terms on the screen will be "*", which means it should be picked up from the Master data. Similarly for posting Vendor Credit Memos (Doc type KG) using F-41 or FB65, the payment terms field is blank, which means 'Immediate payment'.
In case of FB10, Fast entry transaction code for both Vendor Invoice and Vendor Credit memo, the Payment terms for KR document is *. But for doc type KG (Credit memo), payment terms field is not blank. Instead, it is shown as *. Why is it? How can we make this blank for KG document postings. Please advise. Kindly revert in case you have any questions.

  • Payment Terms - Only specify sales text for payment terms for customers !

What is wrong with the format in the attached screen shot ?
Do I have to Choose Customer & Vendor ?

    Hi Emad,
This error “Only specify sales text for payment terms for customers" appears because this payment term is not applicable for customer. There are two choices either to delete the description text and make the payment term applicable only to vendor,However if you want to keep the description text, then make payment term applicable to customer as well by tick mark.

  • Payment Terms for more than 3 payment terms in OBB8

    Hi Gurus,
Please advise as to how to create for more than 3 instances, say 4 or 5.  Because standard SAP provides only for 3.  Let me brief you as below :
    -  I created the 5 payment Terms in OBB8. 5001 (clicking as instalment) ; 5002 for 5% - 30 days ; 5003 for 4% for 60 days ; 5004 for 3% for 90 days and 5005 for Net 180 days.
    -  I assigned these 5002 to 5005 to 5001 with say 25% instalment each in OBB9.
    -  Now I assigned this 5001 payment term in the Vendor Master.
    -  Posted new FB60 invoices with say 01st Oct 09 as Document Date with say Rs. 25000/-
    -  Now, I have to make the payment to the Vendor on say 15th November 2009.
    -  So ideally I am eligible for 4% discount on Rs. 25000/- since I am paying after 30 days and before 60 days.
    -  I am posting through F-53 with 15.11.2009 as the document data, and now the system is not calculating discount for the first instalment of 25% instalment and for the next 25% the discount is calculated @ 4% on 25% only.
    -  Now my requirement is to calculate 4% discount in Rs. 25000/-.
Can any one suggest the required approach.
    Vikas

    Hi,
Unfortunatelly payment terms in OBB8 is working as designed and the functionality cannot be enhanced. In the standard system you cannot add additional levels in the transaction OBB8.
Instead you can check the option of using Terms of Payment for Installment Payments (transaction OBB9). Terms of payment for installment payments are made up of individual terms of payment. An individual payment term can be assigned to each installment. When you post an installment payment, the total amount is split up into individual items for each installment and each installment
is calculated with the relevant payment term. For more information on maintaining terms of payment, refer to the Implementation Guide for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
The terms of payment key can determine the following:
-The valid cash discount rate for an individual payment with a maximum of 3 payment terms (first cash discount period, second cash discount period, and due date for net payment) and also a baseline date for the payment
-The terms of payment for installment payments.
You define the following for the terms of payment key for installment payments:
    - Sequential number of the installment
    - Percentage rate for the installment
    - New terms of payment key for the installment item
The percentage rates you specify must total 100%.
    Example
Suppose you can create payment term NT30 (30 days net), NT60 (60 days net), NT90 (90 days net).
    Installment terms of payment
    RT01   1   30%   NT30
    RT01   2   30%   NT60
    RT01   3   40%   NT90
    I hope this helps.

  • Payment Terms for Credit memos

    Hi,
Please explain to me what is the significance of payment terms in credit memo. I understand that credit memo are sort of returns (sales returns or purchase returns). I am able to understand the payment terms for an invoice (which would determine the due date for the receivables and payables). But I am not able to understand the use of payment terms in credit memo...
    Please assist.
    Thanks in anticipation
    Satya

    Hi Satya
A credit Memo without an Invoice Reference is always due on the Baseline Date (the Exceptions to this are Credit Memos which have an explicitly-stated Value Date):this Logic was introduced starting  from Release 3.1I.
Details in Note 79871 and 84137.
As a result, it is due immediately at baseline date.
    Summary:
    1. Credit Memo with Invoice Reference have the same Terms of Payment  and Baseline Date as the Invoice.
    2. For the Credit Memo without Reference to an Invoice, there are 2 methods available for choosing the due Date :
    a) The Due Date for Net Payment (RFPOS-FAEDT) is identical to the  Baseline Date for Payment (BSEG-ZFBDT). The Period for Net Term or the Term of Payment is not taken into Account. This is the Default.
    b) Or the Credit Memo is due based on the Payment Terms. For this, you must enter the Indicator "V" in the Credit Memo Field BSEG-REBZG  "Invoice Ref", in addition to the specified Payment Method.
You can modify this Field for the Credit Memos already posted.
=> the above Details are documented in the Help F1 behind the  "Invoice Ref" Field.
    Hope it answer your question
    Kind Regards

  • "You must specify a value for this required field" in SharePoint list

    HI All,
I have a couple of taxonomy fields in my content type. When I try to add a new item with my content type and save, I'm getting an error message "You must specify a value for this required field" against each taxonomy field. I'm not sure what am
I missing. I deleted the content type and added that again to my list but still no luck. Can someone please help me out? Thanks.
    Regards,
    SC Vinod

    hi
it depends how you updated existing field. We faced with the problem that update of taxonomy site column was not propagated to the lists. In Sharepoint when content type is bound to the list, new hidden content type is created for that list - you may check
    it if will enumerate
SPList.ContentTypes property. And when you try to update site column changes may not be propagated to these list content types. In order to update it you need to get reference on a field from list content type and update if explicitly.

  • How can we block, a particular payment term for a particular vendor.

    Dear Experts,
How can we block, a particular payment term for a particular vendor.
    BR.
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
If you want to block payment term for "particular vendor" then you need to define a validation rule.
As per my understanding, the link provided by Owen will block term for all vendors.

  • Payment terms for a particular sales order

    Dear Gurus,
I want to trigger a particular payment term for a particular sales document type.
i.e., when i create a sales order with this particular sales document type the desired payment term should be copied into sales order by default. Is this possible.. please suggest.
    thanks
    suri

    Dear Suri
As you would be aware, by default, Payment Term will flow in sale order from customer master.  However, if you want to have a different payment term to flow automatically, then you have try with any of the following user exits.
User exits in the program MV45AFZZ - USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT
    User-Exits in program MV45AFZB - USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK
    thanks

  • Payment Term for advance payment

    Hi
Can we configure a payment term for advance payment thro OBB8. it says that customer needs to pay us in advance.
If yes, how do we configure this.

the accounting document is created after a delivery for a customer invoice via billing.
i believe there is an option in SD where you have an extra tab for payment. Once the payment has been received, i.e. entered into the sales order, the delivery can be made.
This should work for your process, however best to speak to a SD consultant to get the full picture.
Hope this helps, assign points and mark thread as answered if it does!!!

  • Organisation specific Supplier Payment Terms (R12 EBS-AP)

    Hi,
In release 11 EBS you were able to set default supplier payment terms at organisation level (Payables Manager: Setup > Options > Financials), however, we have now implemented release 12 and it appears that this is no longer organisation specific (as we have multiple orgs this is causing a bit of an issue). Does anyone know if there is a way to set the default supplier payment terms at org level in R12?
    Regards
    Carl

    Hi carl,
Payment Terms are still org specific in R12. When you open the Financials Option form it in context of a particular organization. You can select the organization of your choice and enter the appropriate payment term.
    Thanks

  • How to Create payment term for -Net Due 1st Day of Second Month Following

    Hi,
We need to add a payment term for "Net Due 1st Day of Second Month Following Delivery". We need this to be in the system as soon as possible as we just were told of a change in terms for our client effective May 1st.
Kindly advice me how to select the dates in OBB8?
    Thanks
    Supriya

    Hi Supriya,
In OBB8, create a new payment term with the following settings -
Default for baseline date = No default
    Payment terms/Term 1/Fixed date = 1
    Payment terms/Term 1/Additional months = 2
This payment term will ask you for a baseline date on document entry. You can give the delivery date as the baseline date. If required, this date can be changed after posting the document also.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Mike
