  -> angefertigter Wiederherstellungsdatenträger USB (Win8 - Restore-Partitions-Daten)
  -> Win 8.1 Standard Systemimage (unklar wie/womit booten/was tun)
-> Lenovo-Tool Systemimage (unklar wie man die Daten zurückspielen kann)
Danke & Grüße, Jürgen

    Sankalp,
I too have the error 0x81000033 when running the full system image backup.  I could not assign a drive letter to my 100mb drive with the Disk Management.  So, I went into the diskpart and ran the following commands:
    diskpart
    list disk
    DISKPART> list par
      Partition ###  Type              Size     Offset
      Partition 1    System             100 MB  1024 KB           ( 78.2 of 96.0MB free )

    select partition 1
    assign letter=q
    fsutil usn queryjournal q:
    fsutil usn deletejournal /D q:
After diskpart, I opened the "My Computer" and see that I have 78.2 of 96.0MB free.  Despite that, I ran these commands on the new q: drive:
    C:\Windows\System32>q:

  • DB2 Migration from Windows - Linux supported with Backup/Restore ?

    Hi folks,
we have to do a DB2 V9.1 migration from Windows -> Linux. Both servers are Intel based. Is it official supported by SAP to do this without SAP migration tools? E.g. with a backup/restore or redirected restore? I heard about it, but i'm not sure.
    Thanks a lot
    Jochen
Edited by: Jochen Raab on Mar 1, 2010 5:40 PM

    Hi Jochen,
Please have a look at the DB2 docu.
    http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9r7/topic/com.ibm.db2.luw.admin.ha.doc/doc/c0005960.html
It clearly stats that Linux and Windows are not compatible.
DB2® database systems support some backup and restore operations between different operating systems and hardware platforms.
The supported platforms for DB2 backup and restore operations can be grouped into one of three families:
    Big-endian Linux® and UNIX®
    Little-endian Linux and UNIX
    Windows®
A database backup from one platform family can only be restored on any system within the same platform family. For Windows operating systems, you can restore a database created on DB2 Universal Database (UDB) V8 on a DB2 Version 9 database system. For Linux and UNIX operating systems, as long as the endianness (big endian or little endian) of the backup and restore platforms is the same, you can restore backups that were produced on DB2 UDB V8 on DB2 Version 9.
So you need to do an eport/import.
    Regards,
      Joachim

  • Vista x64 Acrobat window won't maximize or restore properly

I have tried a couple times to run Windows Vista Ultimate x64, but there have been enough problems that I've decided to go back to 32-bit. One of these problems is with Acrobat 8.1.2 Pro.
Whenever I open a PDF in Acrobat, if the window opens fully maximized and I try to restore it to a smaller window, the PDF document does not resize accordingly. It is still zoomed in to the same size as when it was maximized and as a result, I can't see the scroll bar because it's off the window. If I open the PDF in a window that is a smaller restored window and then maximize it, the PDF document again does not resize and remains the same small size that it was in the restored window with the scroll bar in the middle of the now maximized window with just a bunch of useless gray area where the document should have expanded to. The same problem occurs when the window is manually resized as well.
The only workaround I've found is to close the document and reopen it so that the window starts off either maximized, restored, or the new size that you changed it to. This is a real pain, especially when you're in the middle of doing something in the middle of the document.

So I narrowed the problem down to Logitech's SetPoint software. I started from a clean install of Windows Vista x64, installed Acrobat first, and tested it after installing each driver or program. The problem started after installing SetPoint and would stop after closing it. I also found a post on Logitech's forum describing the problem with screen shots: http://forums.logitech.com/logitech/board/message?board.id=software_mice&message.id=10402 . So I thought I'd found the source of the problem, until I had my computer completely up and running except for the SetPoint software and discovered Acrobat was having the same problem! I have basically every program that I use regularly installed, so it won't be as easy to narrow it down this time. I tried stopping services and testing Acrobat with them stopped, but never got the problem to go away. Hopefully a solution will be found soon.

  • Creative Labs Soundblaster PCI 128 _ for german Windows ME _ Treiber download without succ

    Hello!
4 years ago, I bought my computer with Millenium edition in Germany. Now I had to reinstall all and my software to soundcard doesn't function at all. I tried to download something from creative homepage but the Tribers are "too old". Even the "automatic download programm" doesn't function well, only tells, that there is something damaged in my software. I didn't manage to download the tribers for my soundcard.
Who can help a blond girl? I tried all possible :smileyindifferent:

  • TM2 unable to restore Windows 7 after Windows 8 Release Preview - have restore DVDs, still fails.

Hello!  I've pretty much run out of idea's on how to troubleshoot this so I'll do a summary of what I changed with the machine and then troubleshooting details further on.  The particular hp touchsmart notebook I have is a TM2 1079cl,  Product Number: WA812UA#ABA.  I've only had it for the length of 2012, I purchased it used from another person about 1 year ago now specifically to toy with Windows 8 before it's release.  As far as the hardwares actual age I can tell from the warrenty information that it was manufactured in late 2009, it states the warranty period was from January 2010 to Jan 2011.
Alright, so my history with the OS changes goes:
-> Purchased this TM2 in early 2012, ran the recovery partition to wipe it clean of the previous owners use and it ran through installation perfectly fine, then on a clean Windows 7 as if it were new.  I'd also made use of a bootable Acronis True Image 2010 disk to make a hard disk image of the three other partitions for recovery (though I did not include the freshly installed windows 7 partition, figured it wouldn't matter if recovery could do it's thing right?)
-> Some days later I loaded the second of the three preview releases for Windows 8 onto it (Customer Preview build I believe).   All worked fine and it dual booted between the two without issue, afaik the only real changes it made amounted to converting the primary partition Windows 7 was installed on to an extended partition and splitting the existing Windows 7 partition equally 50/50 inside that extended partition.  It had also overriden the boot manager / bootloader that was there before but again not surprised.
-> When Release Preview build came out over summer I did an update from inside windows 8 and all seemed fine still.  The change between the two preview builds did develop an issue where I couldn't shut windows 8 down without a handful of error boxes poping up but I'm pretty sure that was unrelated.
-> More recently about thanksgiving time I decided to give the laptop to a family member with a archiac desktop that's got issues and general old factor that makes it not worth updating.   This person is pretty adverse to change so that whole "Win8-vs-what people are used to" thing comes into play.   I decided to wipe the TM2 clean back to the OS it shipped with.    Here's where I'm now stuck:
=> Before doing anything I made another True Image of the HDD as a just incase, glad I did.
=> Tried F11 to load the recovery partition only to find that because of the bootloader being tampered with by Windows 8 it doesn't actually go to the HP recovery partition anymore despite still being on the hard drive.
=> Grabbed the hard disk image from the beginning of the year with the recovery partition on it before windows 8 touched the machine, wiped the hdd completely clean, restored the disk image.   I could now get into HP recovery fine but....
=> I got a dialog error right off the bat saying that the recovery partition could not install and instructing me to insert disc 1 of the recovery software.  Well I never made the dvd's myself with the one-time use burning feature when it worked so that's out and I had not bought the discs from HP's support site.   At this point I'm puzzled though why the recovery partition can't install despite the computer loading up into recovery just fine.  For example command prompt in the Windows PE environment is functional and all files seem to be present.   Maybe some verification that the recovery partition isn't pirated might have been triggered by hard disk imaging, i'm really not sure?
=> I then made used of the HDD image I'd just created before trying this and restored the other copy of the drive (Win8 tampered bootloader, Win8 release preview, win7, the inaccessible recovery partition and all).   Windows 7 and 8-RP could still boot.   Googled around a bit about the recovery partition key (F11) getting messed up by Windows 8 and came to find I only needed to set recovery as the "Active" partition to get it to start.  Sure enough that got it to start but I'm running into the same issue where the actual recovery partition loads up but now refuses to begin the restore process without HP dvd's.  Since I know for certain this worked months ago I guess once again since I ended up restoring that version of the recovery partition it may have also declared itself tampered with... great.
=> Contemplated what to do for a bit and then finally just ordered the DVD's from HP in December, I specifically got the recovery DVD's for my model and they did come from HP directly, not second hand from ebay or another person.  Wasn't really that bad, $16, very reasonable price.  Should be set right, legit OEM DVD's to use?  Nope....
=> The DVD's came.  Two discs for main recovery and a third for applications and drivers.   Boot off disc one and it states it's formatting the drive how it wants (good, i'm liking this so far), copies all of the contents of the three discs to the hdd and begins it's reboot and install cycle.    Reboots a handful of times, you can tell it gets well past copying the contents of any of the discs and into installing windows.  You see the Windows 7 boot logo a few times and even the standard "preparing your things" background that's similar to the Windows 7 login screen.  The screen definitely gets as far as installing the proper graphics driver (and others I assume at that time) as the resolution changes to native for the TM2's LCD near the end.
=>  Suddenly on the 3rd or 4th (I think) reboot of installing windows it starts for a moment then says shutting down, it reboots and it's back in the windows PE environment of recovery setup again (this time coming from the hard drive, not the DVDs) and says it's failed to restore and offers to start everything over from the very beginning.
That's where I'm stuck.  The Recovery Partition died on me post-Windows 8 and the offical HP recovery DVD's are failing me (and oddly they're failing me seemingly in the very last steps of windows 7 restore, well after the DVD's themselves are no longer being read from).
    >> Question 1:  Does the HP recovery partition "self destruct" if it gets imaged by hard drive imaging software and restored?  I can confirm mine worked fine once and then dead after going through Acronis True Image.  Another possibility is maybe there's some ID's or tattooing of the hard drive or specific partitions that was lost when Windows 8 put it's newer bootloader into the machine or lost from Acronis?  This is still the oem hdd that came with the computer, it has not been switched out.
    >> Question 2:  Are there any known problems with the official Windows 7 recovery DVD's for a late 2009 TM2 1079cl?  I'm also aware of the Cyberlink recovery software patch / pre-install disc and tried this with results that were no different to without it.  That said my machine does have the Cyberlink version of the recovery software, I read there's something like 3 different companies software for recovery depending on time period the laptop was made and sold.
    Reference: [ http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&softwareitem=pv-80183-1 ]
    >> Question 3:  Plainly put, what now?  Anything else to try or do I need to go find an RTM windows 7 disc and scrounge all the driver zips together?  (Very much hoping to avoid that, I'm actually pretty curious to really understand what happened here and while that'll work it would answer nothing.  hehe).
Maybe related things as well:  Some searches led me to believe having the WLAN switch off at the start of recovery causes driver installation to flip out (and indeed win7 seems to drop dead during the last steps of driver install) however it's not possible it would seem to turn the WLAN card "on" before this point.  Switch won't bring it to enabled state anyways.   As I mentioned above the Cyberlink recovery software patch has no effect on things.   No parts have ever been changed in this machine, original hdd, wlan card, ram modules, ect.   I doubt the motherboard bios / firmware has ever been updated, machine states it's revision F.02.
    I have at my disposal:
    * A lot of time, actually, hense why I really want to know what happened and not use the Win7 RTM disc.
    * hdd image of HP recovery before Win8 touched the machine.
    * hdd image of recovery after Win8 and a kinda buggy but still bootable Win8-RP.
    * The correct HP-made recovery DVD's for my laptop, ordered recently (December 2012).
    * Confident enough to toy with partition editing tools should it be a suggestion, never really used much outside of gparted on linux live discs however.  Considering the current state of the machine there's nothing to risk losing anymore though.
Sorry for the text wall!  I like being very detailed!
    This question was solved.

I have the tm2 and have not experience an issue with the recovery and wifi being off, but it certainly is in the realm of possibility.  I just had not encountered it on my own tm2, so I subconsciously dismissed it or just didn't think of it as a result.
Thank you for sharing your solution with the community.

  • IPod Touch wasn't showing up in iTunes (Windows), won't let me restore it.

Ok, so I got a new computer recently, as my old one was decimated by a virus. Yesterday, I tried to connect my ipod touch to the new computer for the first time, but it wasn't showing ip in itunes. I've tried everything in the troubleshooting guide, but nothing there has worked.
I have not, however, tried using a different computer, as the only other one nearby is my old one, and I am hesitant to connect my ipod to it as that computer still has the virus on it.
So today I decided to try restoring my ipod in the hopes that that would do something, but every time it gives me the 1611 error and tells me that my security software is interfering with the process. So I go about updating both the security software (avast and malwarebytes) and my computer, but I still get the same error. When I tried uninstalling the software, it did the same thing.
I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I'm hoping that I just overlooked a step or something like that. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great.

DId you also disable the computer's firewall?
    Have you did this:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    or
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
See if running this tells you anything.

I have a click free for a backup for my computer so when i went to restore my couputer all my music and movies are there but  when my power went out ,I want to watch a movie in the new Itunes none of my movies would play. It looks like i had to download them again with icloud and why sose some songs and videos have the icloud on them in the upper right corner if i don't have to download them again?

Maybe one of these answers will work for you. I found these in Google with "wordpad windows 7 single space" (quotations included):

*The following suggestion requires changes to the Windows Registy. Perform these suggestion ONLY if you feel confident enough to alter the Registry. Making a mistake can damage your Windows installation and can, in extreme cases, make your computer un-bootable.

  • Time Capsule and Windows 7 Back Up and Restore

    Hello,
I would like to know i can manage to save my backup of windows 7 on the Time Capsule using the back and restore tools ?
I am using on my time capsule the file sharing with the disk password, but it doesnt seems to work.
    Can u please help ?
    Thx !

Open the guest access and give read and write permissions.
Also make sure you actually give the WORKGROUP name in the WORKGROUP area, correct to the win7 workgroup..
If you still cannot access the TC try turning off the firewall in win7.. you may also need to ensure that win7 is recognised as in home, ie local network, not work or public.
Open a command window and ping the TC to make sure you have network access.
In windows explorer type \\ipaddressofTC\ into the address bar.. that being its IP address. You can also try netbios name.
If none of that works post again but it should.. on latest firmware on the TC??
You need to use windows backup which is near useless.. I recommend you download a utility that can do a proper disk image.. there are plenty around.

  • My ipod classic doesn't show up on windows or itunes, i have restored it quite a few times, it doesn't seen to make any difference

my ipod classic (new to me- ebay) does not show up on windows or in itunes, i've gone thru troubleshooting, can't really tell if i've successfully restored it or not, and can't seen to add it to my device mgr. I have tried rebooting computer, any ideas would be great

    Hello bithedz,
Have you had a chance to look at this Apple support document related to your issue? If not, it would be a good place to start.
[iPod not recognized in iTunes and Mac desktop|http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1410]
And if no luck there, try manually forcing your iPod into *Disk Mode* using the instructions provided in this Apple support document with your iPod connected to your Mac. This should help your iPod mount as an external drive at least on your system so that you can view it from a Finder window and perform a reformat on it if desired.
    [Putting iPod into Disk Mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1363]
And if you are able to finally get your iPod recognized by iTunes, I would definitely recommend performing a restore of it there.

  • Missing driver with windows 8.1 installing or restoring

    Hi all,
If I try to do a clean install of windows 8.1 the installation routine tells me helpfully that I am missing a media driver. The only way I could get round this was to create a USB bootablke disc and then add ALL the lenovo drivers that I have down loaded cfrom the lenovo site. This worked and it appeared to scan the USB drive and find whatever it was looking for. I'm still none the wiser as to what it was missing.
This problem is compounded when you try to restore from a backup image created in windows (I have a new drive and wanted to clone my old system). It finds the restore image on the external USB drive but can't seem to find the internal drive. This time however it won't scan a folder but wants me to provide the location of the actual INF file for the missing driver.
Can anyone help? I am assuming its the data/drive controller but I can't find it anywhere.
    Thanks

    hi Rolf,
You most tikely have the Seagate ST500LX005 SSHD.
just to verify, using this guide as a reference, are you getting stucked at Step 7? Also, is the SATA Mode set to AHCI under BIOS?
When you get the prompt to provide the location of the actual INF file for the missing driver, can you consider the following:
    1. Download the f6flpy-x64.zip file on either of the links below and extract it on a usb flashdrive.
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22194
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=22676
    2. Before running the system image recovery, insert the usb flashdrive and locate the iAAHCIC.inf / iaStorAC.inf file on flashdrive and use this path when you get the prompt to provide the location of the missing driver.
    Regards

  • Faulty Windows after 'successful' System Image restore to new hard drive.

This question posted as ' Cut down Win 7 after System Image restore to new HDD'  in the community but no satisfactory answer.  Please may I ask here.
Win reported a successful System Image creation of C: on my E: drive.  C was replaced with a new 2TB drive (previously 1.5Tb) and the image restored.  Win reported 'successful' restoration of C: immediately followed by the common 'You must restart
your computer to apply these changes...' which I assumed was just Win taking note of the new drive.
On running, everything seems fine at first but you start to notice faults.  Most importantly Win doesn't seem to recognise itself.  If you start some of the functions in control panel (eg System Manager) you get a message from User Account
Control  'Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?'.
Windows Live Mail won't work.  You get a message 'Windows Live Mail could not be started.  Closing Windows Live Mail.  Your calendar contains corrupt data that is forcing Windows Live Mail to close (0x8E5E0247).'  I have never used the
calendar function so there shouldn't be any data there.
Browsing history in IE is there on very first opening but is immediately lost and never recovered.  Favourites are intact but all login details are lost.  All your internet feeds are lost.  Message 'The feed download was interrupted.....'
Trying to create new feeds is unsuccessful.     When you try and download something the usual IE message 'Do you want to run or save ... ' comes up at the bottom of the screen but the buttons do not work so you cannot get any downloads.
Installed non-Windows applications do seem to run OK though I usually switch back to the original drive pretty quick.
2 x Dell Precision T5500 desktops, both reasonably high spec and more or less identical though one is nearly 3 years old and the other approaching 4.  Both Win7 x64.  The fault identical on both machines.  I have had these drives in and out
so many times trying to solve this there is a real risk of damaging the disk or lead.  Can anyone suggest what might be wrong or how Win could be fixed??  I assume 2Tb is ok.  Is it normal to get a restart message after a 'Successful' image
restore message.  I've tried cloning the drive as well but got exactly the same messages and faults.  Next I was going to try creating the image after running something like EndItAll and  then seeing if the image would restore more successfully
to a different 1.5Tb drive though I don't see this should make any difference.  'Clutching at straws' comes to mind.
    Thanks.

    Hello,  thanks for your interest.
Yes, principally it's the Windows features which are faulty.  It's not that they don't work at all (except for win live mail which gives that message about being forced to shutdown), rather that there are faulty features.
All of the functions in control panel, for example, work OK. But when you select them there is this message from user account control ' Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer'.   It
then goes on to give details the oddity being that the publisher is listed as 'Unknown'.  This is the standard User Account Control dialogue but the strange thing is that it is not recognising the functions coming with windows.    If you
click yes it goes on to open device manager or whichever one it was that you wanted and the function works quite normally.
Non windows applications (including Microsoft Office) run normally without the user account control dialogue.  The only oddity I noticed today was that one program seemed to have lost it's licencing information and gave a message that the
month trial period was up with an invitation to licence.
Today I tried to restore an image to a replacement 1.5TB disc. (i.e. the same size as the image was made from). The whole process went quite smoothly and Windows seemed to be working without the faults on the replacement drive.     So
having shown that the image must be OK I tried swapping the 1.5 drive for the 2Tb drive and repeating the restore from the same image.   Immediately on running, Windows gave me the message 'You must restart the computer to apply these changes....
(which it had not done for the 1.5Tb restoration) and all the old faults were back.   The message might be quite innocent and simply indicate that Windows is taking note or the different size drive but it seems to be associated with the arrival of
the faults. (The new drive is formatted as for the 1.5Tb with C: and Recovery partitions and the extra space left unallocated).
No, I have not tried Reinstalling Windows Live Mail yet. Today I was working on the newer machine and my mail is on the older one. It is odd that both machines show exactly the same problem. It must be something to do with the move to a different size disk.   I
guess I would have to reinstall IE as well as that was the other application that was really faulty.
Yes, that is the thread I tried in the community but I didn't get any solution.
