Header data in ALV

Hi,
I've got a requirement, wherein I need to display a few fields of the ALV page, as the header data, and the remaining as line items. How do I do.  I'm able to get all the data fields to a ALV report, how do I go?? Please help me.

    I have a requirement wherein, based on the data in the table used for ALV, i need to add rows as sort of header in the ALV display.
    For e.g. my table has

    For every new Appl No., i need to add a row, or sort of header specifying the appl no. details. means

         Try like this... I think u have Application number and date in ur table ... First get the total table data into internal table.. and to add the row
         *Declare the var1 as 0 and var2.
    loop at internal table
         *var1 = var1 +1
    when application number =var1
             concatenate : 'Appli. No.' (table- appli no field) 'Date:'  (table-date field) into var2.
    perform display(some name)
         *endloop.
         *form display...
              alv display part.. first give that var2 like eg.. wa_alv-field= 'var2'.

    hi,
    when you use the splitter you cannot download both. You will be to download the data of that container on which you press download functionality. You need to add the button to download and add the logic to it.

  • Dynamic header in oo alv print_top_of_page based on current line

    I would expect this to be a common problem with the solution easily to google/find, but somehow...
    dynamic header generation during alv print_top_of_page:
    - i print an oo alv grid, sorted by kunnr
    - for each new kunnr a new page
    -> now I want during print-out to: at each top of page, read the first (or any) line of the current page, i.e. the current kunnr, and select data on basis of that kunnr to be written to the header.
    My problem is that sy-tabix is not being filled correctly (always 1).
    Strange thing is that in another report with a non-dynamic itab to display, sy-tabix is actuall being filled more or less correctly. (with the minor drawback that on the first page the tabix might not be 1 but more likely to be 2; but that's easy to fix and for the next pages sy-tabix is correct)

    In the handle_print_top_of_page method, use :
    FIELD-SYMBOLS : <lv_line> TYPE ANY.
    ASSIGN ('(SAPLKKBL)G_INDEX') TO <lv_line>.
    if <lv_line> = 0. "First time, G_INDEX is equal to zero
       <lv_line> = 1.
    endif.
    So in <lv_line> you will always have the good index of your table.

    While I am exporting data from ALV report to any other Format (Excel, Txt, HTML) it only export the data of last column, but the heading is comming properly and also the column heading is displaying properly.
    So how to rectify it. (the report is Object Oriented).

    Refer this sample program "BCALV_GRID_VERIFY" . I hope it is problem with structure mismatching.

    I have used slis_t_listheader and REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE to display the header details in ALV report.I want the details to be displayed as below.

    But when I use the structure slis_t_listheader to display the header details,all the fields are coming one below the other.

  • Error whil adding Header to the ALV grid using OO

    Hi Guys,
                 I want to display the Header for the ALV grid using Splitter .
    when i am doing like that .I am getting  a screen on the top of that screen I am getting a EMPTY screen .I don't know why likat.

  • No document header data in GL simulation Print preview

    When we perform  General Ledger simulation  in transaction FB01, The screen displays both the header data and simulated line item details, however on selecting print preview, the output does not contain the document header information shown on the GL simulation screen
    Any clues on how can we get the header data shown in the GL simulation screen in the print preview?

    I think this should have been just a small fix for SAP to include ALV header in the print
    but they say it's not possible !

  • Problem while downloadind data from ALV in excel format.

    I have developed one ALV Report.
    it have 53 columns. when i tried to download it in excel format using standard functionality, all columns are not coming in one line i.e 50 cloumns in one line and rest columns to the next line.
    For Example.

    how i will get all these 53 columns in one line in EXCEL..

    hi,
    there are some specific restrictions in downloading data in alv.
    i.e you cannot have morethan 1024 characters that can be downloaded in single row.
    so change your report columns accordingly.

    Hi Bhavesh Panchal  ,
    You have to create another internal table with fields which you would like to display in the ALV output.
    once you fetch the data from different tables into respective internal tables.  loop those internal tables and insert the field values to internal table which you want to display in ALV output.
    Create  field catalog for the internal table created for  ALV  output.

    Hi All,
    How can i display header data in a simple report(its not an ALV report).
    i am planning to use event TOP-OF-PAGE for this.is this correct?
    Can anyone explain me through a piece of code.

    Hi,
    Top-of-page is an event which will produce a static header that is even you scroll the list the header will be displayed. But when you not use the top-of-page event You will notget the static header.
    say for example,
    data : itab like mara occurs 0 with header line.
    select * from mara into table itab upto 100 rows.
    loop at itab.
    write : /1 itab-matnr.
    endloop.
    top-of-page.
    write : /1 'header'.
    also use the code,
    data : itab like mara occurs 0 with header line.
    select * from mara into table itab upto 100 rows.
    write : /1 'header'.
    loop at itab.
    write : /1 itab-matnr.
    endloop.
    see the difference in the header.
