Header in balance file

Hi,
Anyone could explain me how header are handled in balance with FDMEE11.1.2.3, until yesterday I though that headers were not supported in balance files (our EPM integrator though the same by te way).
I made a test and surprisingly header are ignored... How is that, why it is not interpreted by the location mapping? I had a look at administrator guide without finding a clear specification or explanation about the subject.
Many thanks for your help.

FDMEE will automatically ignore lines where the value, in what is specified as the amount field in your import format, is not numeric. That is the default behaviour and is probably what is happening with the header line.

  • AP Trial Balance - File is massive and takes a long time to open up

    Hello,
We are upgrading from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3 and are running into some serioud problems with the Accounts Payables Trial Balance report in Detail Mode.
    1. The Report takes upwards of 10 minutes to open up - and in many cases does not.
    2. On further research we see that the report output file is > 500MB whereas comparable 11i Trial Balance files are only 19MB.
    3. We tried running in various formats Text, PDF, HTML with no luck.
    4. In fact HTML and Text formats gave “Authentication failed” errors when we tried to open the report.
    My questions are:
    1. Why is there a such a large increase in file size? Is this expected going to R12?
    2. Is there a way to speed up the opening of the large files or create smaller files? - (summary mode, and smaller date ranges are not options as per business needs). Even a 2 month date range give the same problems.
    3. We noticed that the XLA_TRIAL_BALANCES table has 36,521,125 records...LARGE.
    4. We compared the ap_liability_balance records between 11i and R12. We have 29,171,382 in 11i and 37,769,034 in R12. But this is expected as we purge regularly in 11i production and I don't think this difference (about 30%) in the size of the tables should cause such a large difference in the size of the report files (nearly 2000%!!!).
    5. Why are we getting Authentication failed errors? Just for these reports?
Of course we opened an SR, but you know how SRs go :-) and this is a time critical project with our deadlines nearing.
Any help or pointers from the experts here is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Hussein,
Thanks for your prompt reply and my apologies for the substantial delay in mine.
We did some trouble shooting since then.
We repolved the problem by choosing a pdf format instead of the seeded RTF format. This opened up the output in a couple of minutes because the pdf formatted output was about 50mb vs the RTF output which was 300MB+.
But the ORIGINAL problem still remains. The xml tagged .out file is still huge with a size of nearly 1gb!
My earlier questions here now boil down to the following questions.
Q1. Is the huge XML Publisher's .out file expected in R12?  It really is massive!  The text file from 11i was just 19MB
Q2. Oracle does not seem to offer the option to format the output in plain text ...We see PDF, RTF but no plain ugly text.  I would expect plain text file to be much smaller.  How can we get the output in plain text?
1.Yes our stats are upto date. Let me emphasize that we do not have a performance problem with the report itself. The issue we are having is opening up the output.
    2. The authentication error is resolved. It was because of formatting the reports incorrectly.
    3. We did not use the usual tuning procedures such as tkprof because we do not have a performance problem.
    4. We checked the OPP file and there are none. I reiterate, The report does complete without issues. It is just that the output takes a long time to open up in the RTF
I will appreciate if others  can share any experiences if you have faced this situation and how you have handled it.
Thanks in advance for your time!

  • How to add header to a file in mapping

    Hi,
I need to add header to a file , the header information i am getting is dynamic , it is an IP address of the m/c from where i received the file and keeps on changing.
Can we add this information in the header in mapping or there is any other way to acheive this. This IP is used to make a lookup  at a  latter stage  for verification purpose.
    Regards,
    SRi

    Hi Sri,
Write Java class or an ABAP class
in Java class or ABAP class write logic to find the first word or line
once you find that word in your incoming file, you need to replace with a string which has the static header+firstword what you have searched
    for exmple
    Incoming file
    abcd
    <abc>123</abc>
    <def>321</def>
    Your logic should find "abcd"
    String Header = "http://www.sap.sdn.com"
String A = "abcd" (bcoz u kow u r searching for this word)
now concat A+Header and return the string
IF you are writing an ABAP or Java  class include this in Interface Mapping
    Hope this helps.

  • How to include a license header in fxml file?

How to include a license header in fxml file?
I tried xml block comments <!-- mylicense here -->
but it wasn't accepted by screen builder.
Also I wondered, even if it had been accepted, would screen builder have saved the header back - or deleted it?

All XML documents should begin with an XML declaration.
If you have your fxml file starting with  the following lines :
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!-- mylicense here -->
.. it will be loaded in Scene Builder, and saved back as is.

  • Can I automate the creation of a cluster in LabView using the data structure created in an autogenerated .CSV, C header, or XML file?

Can I automate the creation of a cluster in LabView using the data structure created in an auto generated .CSV, C header, or XML file?  I'm trying to take the data structure defined in one or more of those files listed and have LabView automatically create a cluster with identical structure and data types.  (Ideally, I would like to do this with a C header file only.)  Basically, I'm trying to avoid having to create the cluster by hand, as the number of cluster elements could be very large. I've looked into EasyXML and contacted the rep for the add-on.  Unfortunately, this capability has not been created yet.  Has anyone done something like this before? Thanks in advance for the help.

Is this something you're trying to do at runtime? Clusters are fixed data structures so you can't change them programmatically. Or, are you just trying to create some typedef cluster controls so that you can use them for coding? What would your clusters basically look like? Perhaps another way of holding the information like an array of variants?
You can try LabVIEW scripting, though be aware that this is not supported by NI.
Wow!  Thanks for the quick response!  We would use this cluster as a fixed data structure.  No need to change the structure during runtime.  The cluster would be a cluster of clusters with multiple levels.  There would be not pattern as to how deep these levels would go, or how many elements would be in each.   Here is the application.  I would like to be able to autocode a Simulink model file into a DLL.  The model DLL would accept a Simulink bus object of a certain data structure (bus of buses), pick out which elements of the bus is needed for the model calculation, and then pass the bus object.  I then will take the DLL file and use the DLL VI block to pass a cluster into the DLL block (with identical structure as the bus in Simulink).  To save time, I would like to auto generate the C header file using Simulink to define the bus structure and then have LabView read that header file and create the cluster automatically.   Right now I can do everything but the auto creation of the cluster.  I can manually build the cluster to match the Simulink model bus structure and it runs fine.  But this is only for an example model with a small structure.  Need to make the cluster creation automated so it can handle large structures with minimal brute force. Thanks!

I already solve the problem, It´s quite confusing, I must use ; instead of \t at the delimiter.
I have another question to ask :
    - When I start the program, can I make the dt(ms) count from 0 ? What I can do is using the Format/Date time string, I don´t want the time count based on the real time.
    This is what I made
    dt(ms)

  • How to increase page size for balance file upload in Workspace.

    Hi All,
Please suggest how to increase page size for balance file upload in shared Workspace pages.
    Thanks,

A word of caution is in order regarding changing from facing to non-facing and back again. If you have overridden master page items, you'll get a second, non-overridden copy on all the even-number pages when that half of the master page is re-applied. This applies to master text frames which override automatically when text flows into them as well as to objects you manually override. I think you'll find this particular technique also only works for master text frames, whereas the Layout Adjustment should work in all situations where frames snap to guides.

Try to install win 2003 server software, do the fresh installation of oracle software, now copy the datafiles and controlfiles to same locations as you did on winxp.
get back to us, if still not out of the woods. I still doubt that a simple restore would do the trick, since you doing it across different platforms, might be I can be wrong, but this is what I personally feel, you not able to start the database on winxp.

The system was unable to upload the file: Invalid header signature; read 7311066695147732796, expected -2226271756974174256.
which means that the header of the file is not excel typed.
If I manually open the file and save it as excel POI is able to read it but I don't want to do this as this entire process of writing/reading the file should be automated. I don't want to use POI for writing the file because POI cannot provide me everything that I need when Microsoft office xml can.
So, my question is simple: Is there a way, using java, to set the header of a file to excel so that POI will recognize it as such?

    hi roy,
    @see: http://poi.apache.org/hssf/index.html
"HSSF is the POI Project's pure Java implementation of the Excel '97(-2007) file format. It does not support the new Excel 2007 .xlsx OOXML file format, which is not OLE2 based."
maybe jexcelapi supports you in writing your xls:

  • Header Mapping in File to IDoc

    Hi all,
When do we go for Header mappin in File - IDoc scenario? How we can configure these steps in XI?
    regards,
    Anjaneya

    Hi Swamy,
Header maping can be used to determine the destination in the interface based upon any particular field .If the field is populated with the value then that value can be used for receiver determination to send message for example you have one file that can be mapped to any one pf the multiple IDOCs then based upon the header value you can determine the destination or the IDOC goin to be used

  • Replacing the Header in rule file without changing source file(header defi)

    hi,
i am loading the data using header in the Source file (.xls).
I need to load the same file but for diff header (say instead of A1 i need A2) without any changes in source file.
can someone please provide information that how to change the header in source file without opening/changing source file.
    Thanks in advance
    Anubhav Bisht

    HI SM,
    thanks for reply.
the Problem is that there is two members in header defined in the source file that i need to change while loading the data.
the load rule is picking header from the Source file, so replacing in the field is not working..
do you have any other option/Suggestion.

  • Getting BAPI header and library files

    Hi,
I'm going to develop a job scheduling system that satisfies XBP 2.0 certification requirements.
I received some documents of XBP 2.0 from a SAP ICC consultant and reviewed them.
Now I'm going to prepare for setting up a development environment and to start progamming.
I have successfully gotton RFC header and library files from SDK.
And then, I tried to find header and library files for BAPI_XBP_ function calls, but I couldn't find them.
Can anyone tell me how I can get the header and library files for XBP APIs?
Someone told me that I should use transaction "BAPI" or "SE37", but I couldn't figure out how to use them.
Does anyone have a step-by-step document to get BAPI_XBP function calls?
    Regards,
    Yasuhiro Suzuki

    Hello,
Type 'SE37' into the white box at the top left (if it's not to the right of the green tick, click on the triangle which is there) and enter the function module name and hit f7, then look around.
    Kind regards
