Hello World debug works, run fails
Hello - I've installed Eclipse and MinGW per instructions, created a project from the "Hello World C++ Project" executable, and successfully built the project. If I try to RUN the project, it fails with this error and no "Hello World" output:
<terminated> (exit value -1,073,741,515) HelloWorld.exe [C/C++ Application]
but if I DEBUG the project, I can step over the cout line then click Resume, and it executes correctly with the expected output and an exit value of 0.
What is happening?? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
~Dan
Compare these two configurations (Run and Debug):
(Right click on the project) -> Properties -> C/C++ Build -> Settings -> Libraries
Make sure you have the Libraries and Library search path the same.
While in the Release mode, clean and build the project.

My Hello World App in WD is not working in Browser IE. So I can't TEST it in SE80. It only shows a blank page and a javascipt error...
Taking the same URL in Firefox works just fine....

Hello World plugin works in 32-bit, does not work in 64-bit
I created a simple "Hello World" plugin by following the instructions in Adobe's guide: Getting Started with Adobe Illustrator CC Development, which is available as a pdf here.
The plugin works in the 32-bit version of Illustrator CS6, but I get an error message while trying to launch the 64-bit version. "Error loading plugins. HelloWorld.aip"
How can I fix this error?You need to build 64 bit version of plugin. Change the configuration to x64 in your visual studio (I am assuming windows) and build. It should work fine.

Hello World Tutorial not working. processFormRequest not called
In 9iJDeveloper when running the HelloWorld tutorial, I enter a value in the 'Hello' box, and press 'Go'. The page refreshes, but the value entered does not get displayed. No Information box is displayed, as it should according to the tutorial. So, I ran under debug, and it appears that in HelloWorldMainCO only processRequest is called. The breakpoint in processFormRequest is never reached.
I have tried the other tutorials, and no 'POST's are working.
However, when I logon to applications as 'OA Framework ToolBox Tutorial' responsibility and run the tutorials they work fine.
Any help will be appreciated.Hi,
I am having the same problem. We could be facing the same issue. I am following this issue in the thread 'Hello World not working'. You are welcome if you want to join us there.

Cannot get hello world to run?!
Ack, an IDE is a terrible thing. I recently tried to compile/run a java program the old fashioned way (from DOS command prompt), and I can't even get a simple hello world prog to run!
I've got a file "Hello.java" with the code
public class Hello {
public static void main(String[] args) {
System.out.println("hello, world!");
} from the command prompt, i then do "javac Hello.java", which works fine, and then a "java Hello". Unfortunately, "java Hello" says "NoClassDefFoundError: Hello"... I can't for the life of me figure out why something so simple isn't working. Anyone? I'm getting pretty desperate here lol...hi,
may be your class path doesn't set.
set classpath=.;%classpath%;copy and paste it into your current dir and try once -

I have a working hello world example working on linux that uses cpptasks for the build. I'll post it here as I don't see any info on this out there. I hope this is helpful for you.

Can't get even a hello world program to work
Hello,
I am new to java and have written the following and saved it
to hello.java:
public class hello
public static void main(String[] args)
System.out.println("Hello, world");
Then I run javac as follows:
javac hello.java
No errors, so I type:
java hello
and I get
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: hello
I have been careful for upper and lower case.
What am I missing?
I just installed java on this machine.
Thanks,
MikeDo this instead:java -cp . hello... note the dot following the '-cp' flag. The Java virtual machine needs to
know where your classes are stored, i.e. it doesn't assume a concept
of a 'current working directory'. The '-cp' flag is followed by a list of dirs
(here it's just the current directory '.') that store .class files.
kind regards,

Simple "Hello world" servlet in sap j2ee 6.20
Hello @ all,
I want to develop a little "hello world" servlet which runs on a sap j2ee 6.20.
Writing the code is not the problem
But I do not know which steps I have to do in order to get the servlet to run.
Do I have to create an ear-File? If yes how can I build an ear-File!
Or is the a way to just create a folder in the root of the j2ee with an WEB-INF folder! I tried this but it dosn´t work!
Is there perhaps a plugin available for eclipse 2.1 to develop and deploy the application to the sap j2ee??
Thanks alot for your help!
Best regards
KaiHi Kai.
Coding is always cool!! Never a problem
>>Do I have to create an ear-File? If yes how can I build an ear-File!
Anyways, If you have created the J2EE application then you have to build a Web Applicatipn Project. And then give the reference of your application to this Web Application Project. Now craete a archive file of this web application project.
When you will do this a <b>.ear</b> file will be created and a <b>.war</b> file will also be created in your application. Noe Deploy ear to J2ee engine. It will ask for the password of SDM. Give that password and it will be deployed on the SAP J2ee engine.
To run the application write:
http://<my_server>:<my_port>/irj/servlet/<my_application_name>/
This will run your application. Hope this will help.
Do award points if you find answer is helpful for you.

Hello World Servlet Not Working
Hi,
I am using apache and eclipse for the first time. I am running into an issue. When I create the HelloServlet.java class, a yellow icon with a question mark appears on top on my web-inf, package, and class. I also notice a yellow line appears under the class name HelloWorld. I place the curso on top of it, and I saw the message below:
The serializable class HelloServlet does not declare a static final serialVersionUID field of type long. I am not sure what I did wrong. When I paste the url in the browser, it does not show the message. It shows me an error 404.
I am using eclipse 3 with tomcat 6 and java 5.
P.S. I started tomcat, and all the jsp and html samples are working fine.I am getting the error message below when I compile my hello World Servlet.

1) Check your using the correct version of Jdev with your instance.
Metalink note 416708.1 - How to find the correct version of JDeveloper to use with eBusiness Suite 11i or Release 12
Will give the mappings.
And check the Jdev setting

U.PalakondaiahFor a quick resolution please add the below -D parameter to Java Options under "Project Settings->Configurations->Development->Runner"
-DCACHEMODE=DISTRIBUTED
Next thing I want you to do is, check what version of "oracle.apps.jtf.cache.HTCacheProvider" class
your jdeveloper has? It should be >= 115.33. If not then try after deleting all your class files (myclasses/myglobalclasses and other external classes - may be one of them might have older version of this class file).

Task Manager Process failing along w/ Hello World example
Hello Edwin,
Thank you very much for the word document on how to install Oracle BPEL into the oracle database. I was able to install according to your word document into my oracle 10g database. I have other problems though. When starting up the BPEL Process Manager, it gives me the following error message in the console:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/xerces/xni/XNIException
I guess this in turn leads to the TaskManager process failing as it has a yellow exclamation point next to it in the BPEL Console. The oc4j console window later displays this error message:
04/08/07 13:25:01 java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: bpel._1_0.TaskManager__BPEL4WS_BIN
Error while creating process.
An error has occurred while attempting to instantiate the class "bpel._1_0.TaskM
anager__BPEL4WS_BIN" for the process "TaskManager" (revision "1.0"). The exception reported was: bpel._1_0.TaskManager__BPEL4WS_BIN
Please try recompiling your BPEL process again. The current BPEL process archive "TaskManager" may have been compiled with an older version of "bpelc".
An error message similar to this occurs when I try and work through the "Hello World" tutorial. Any idea why these error messages are occuring? "classnotfound" exceptions tell me there is a classpath issue. Thanks for your help.
Kenny R.Edwin,
Nevermind. I fixed it. I just copied the xercesImpl.jar file to the %ORABPEL_HOME%/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/applib directory and the processes function fine now. Thanks. Is this a bug that I found? Or was something messed up with my initial installation? -
