Help data entry problems

Hi I'm new to Java and I need to develop a program that
1) accepts up to 40 grades in format 0 to 100
2) adds them all up and shows the total
3) shows the average of the grades, but only the amount entered, including 0's
4) prints a copy out
5) sends it to an ftp server
6) it needs to implement a password with encryption
I tried it for 1 week almost and it won't work. I need it for tommorow morning. Thanks.

Wow. I haven't been to this forum very often (I just got "switched" to becoming a Java person), but it seems like these types of questions aren't unique to the other forums I've frequented for a number of years (aspmessageboard.com).
How sad, in a way... I kinda expected this at a web programming forum, but not at a higher level language forum.

Data entry problem with Date Book

am suddenly unable to enter data into the Date Book. Every keystroke results in a new 'untimed event' line being placed at the top of the screen.
I have loaded the latest firmware upgrade and tried warm and cold re-boots.

Hard reset tried several times. No change in the problem - before or after re-synching with desktop.
It appears that the Palm's program is no longer recognizing that keystrokes are being entered where there is a time (each key entry triggers a new and separate 'no-time' line at top of screen.
I am abler to enter data on computer and then transfer it to the Tungsten via 'synch'. Such data cannot be edited from the Palm (same result as above).
Also - if I enter a time to a 'no-time' entry, it too cannot then be edited or added to.

Iweb help - blog entries problem

Hello,
I am trying to create a highly customized blog in iweb '08 and so far am doing very well, all the pages look perfect over all browsers however i have tried to edit the blog entries page but am having grave difficulty, i have set the page attributes to 1300 high and 1300 wide copied over the design but now i cant move the generated blog content title and time/date above half way up the page. This is highly annoying does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
I removed all the content from my 'sidebar' and it let me move the content up the page as soon as i put the sidebar back it wont work

it would help if we could see the messed up pages. otherwise we can only guess what's happening. my guess is that you have somehow dropped the content into the header making the header really big and thus why you can't move the blog all the way up. a way to check is to show the layout. and see if there's a grey line above where the blog is sitting.

Any cure for MySQL date entry problem?

On user entry forms with a MySQL database, dates must be
entered as YYYY-MM-DD, which for Americans is counter-intitutive. I
know about the option to use a series of very long drop-down lists
to select each of the pieces, but I find that both cumbersome and
time consuming. I currently am using instructions to the user with
each date field, but that is clutzy.
Does anybody know of a way to use "mm/dd/yyyy"?

MySQL expects the dates to be stored as YYYY-MM-DD in a DATE
or DATETIME
field. Use your script to convert from MM/DD/YYYY if
necessary, before
you insert the date into the DB. If you're on PHP, have a
look at its
date and time functions, especially strtotime() and
strftime().

Can someone explain why when I copy data from one cell to another or import it from excel it becomes unusable?
So, I copy (ctrl C) small and paste it (ctrl V) |small@UY1/4
What am I missing? That should be straight forward operation....

Data Entry Problems

I have had this issue before on another site, ignored it, but now I really need to finish filling out this form. It's to sign up on DHL to ship items yesterday. I am able to fill in everything but my phone number which is required. I can't get past the first number in the area code bracket field. I can keep typing a different number, but it just overwrites and overwrites in the first character field. I am assuming it's my browser so I'm posting for help here. If I knew how, I'd post a screen shot but perhaps this is a common enough issue that I won't need to. I am using Safari Version 3.2.1. Should I be using something different? TIA.

I use an iPhone 5, and want to sync my phone calendar and contacts with Outlook 7 calendar and contacts; two problems--I now get dozens of new calendars every time, and my outlook calendar will not sync at all.; meaning that date entries on Outlook do not come across ot iPhone.

It is unusual for the calendar to sync and not the contacts in Outlook. I've worked with Outlook for years. You didn't answer what computer OS you are using. If it is Windows, have you tried to reset the sync history in iTunes? Do that by opening iTunes, go to Edit>Preferences>Devices and click on reset sync history. If you have done this and it doesn't help, then we can try and run scanpst.exe on your Outlook file and see if there are any errors. Search your computer for that file, however it normally resides in one of the Microsoft Office folders in the folder Program files. After that, you can see if it will sync.

Problem with data entry profile ESS ?

My problem is i have a data entry profile "ESS".
In CAT2 transaction i see the ESS data entry profile as follows (suppose)

I assigned CVR parameter to this profile
Now in ESS i see the data entry section as
<b>A1 A2 A3 A4 Mon Tue Wed ......Sat Sun</b>
The order of the fields is getting sorted.
Is it anything to do with the settings you referred earlier?

Need Data Entry Help " causing issues in data entry

What's the syntax for telling a insert/update query to add
information to the database so that " and ' don't affect the
import? Meaning if I add 30.6" long in diameter it only will pull
out 30.6. Is this a data entry or pull error and how can I fix

when you insert/update the data in your db use
<cfqueryparam> tag - it
will automatically escape all necessary characters.
at output, i assume you are displaying the data in a text
input form
field, the problem is not with cf or your data, but with the
basic html:
<input type="text"
value="#some-cf-variable-with-double-quotes#">
when the value of cf var contains double quotation marks, the
rendered
html will look like:
<input type="text" value="0.36" in diameter">
see where the problem is? the value displayed in the field
will be just
0.36, and the browser will ignore the rest of the code.
cf has built-in functions to work around this, like
xmlformat() or
htmleditformat()

There are actually 5 queries in this report now. From what I understand about a union query, I don't think it will work here because the data being returned in each of the queries is so different. I basically need to know how to make all the criteria for each individual to be displayed before proceeding to the next data set, which will include the same data as the first, but for the next employee, and so on. I need to basically create a repeating frame with each individual's respective data I guess, but every time I do, it tells me that it's referencing an invalid group.

Searc help in entry help/Check tab vs Search help in Further Char-Data elem

I have a screen field which is linked to a structure.When I look at that structure's entry help/check tab in se11 this field is having a collective search help.Now I want this to be replaced by a Z search help.
If my understanding is right I need access key for this structure so that I can link the z search help in entry help/check tab against this field.
My query is whic is the right way
1.Linking the z search help in the entry help/check tab against that field in the structure at SE11 level
or
Linking the Z search help in Further Characterisitics tab of the data element used by this field.
Either way the search help will be reflected at all the places wherever this field is available in the screen.Am I right ?
or
2. Linking the search help to a data element is different from linking the seach help to the field in that structure in entry help/check tab ? If they differ how do they differ.Kindly let me know

Not true.
Search help assigned at data element level is independent of that assigned at structure level, and the latter has higher priority. Please read "Input Help Hierarchy in the ABAP Dictionary":

The structure level assignment can (and generally is) linked to more than one field, not only the one that triggers the search help. That depends on the search help importing and exporting parameters. The data element assignment can only affect the field in which it is used.
Nevertheless, even the search help defined at structure level could be overriden in the program (e.g. PARAMETERS...MATCHCODE OBJECT, AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST, PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST, etc). If that is not your case, it's the structure assignment that you want to change (have into account that it will affect any other dynpros which use that structure).

I watch YouTube videos on a regular basis - mostly with the YouTube app but also with Safari.
Some YouTube videos are supported to be viewed on a computer only or with a Flash capable device, which is becoming few and far between since Adobe no longer supports Flash on any mobile platform.
Sometimes I get this video cannot be played on this platform, but rarely.

it is assumed that this code makes the variable IdSolicitud receive the input Id.
How do I enter this data?, Through a structure, how do I cycle to fill the table?

Data entry form problem - form in query-only mode

Hi there,
I am trying to create an data entry form to insert recordacross 2 out of 3 tables. The last of the four tables already have details and does not need to have record inserted into.
This is the scenario, my four tables are Factory, Employee, Works_in. Works_in resolves a many to many relationship between Factory and Employee
Now for a person to be employed in a factory, he must be assigned to a factory.
I have a list of factories already in the database. After choosing a factory from the database, I want to insert records to do with his Fname, Lname, Hiredate bla, bla, bla to the Employee table.
I have a single form with Factory as the master, and 2 tabs each for Employee and Works_in.
After linking all my tables with the ability to choose a factory first on the master form from a combo box and after inserting records into the other forms, it says form running in query-only mode.
What do you think?

I think that's too much of the wrong information.
It sounds like you have multiple forms. Are they Modal or Non-Modal?
What code do you use to call the form that's not working?
Does it work initially and then stop working?
