Help - Developer in C++ using TPdf

Hi,
we're developing an application, which shows PDF files, using Adobe's TPdf component (in Borland Builder C++). but the application doesn't work if we have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed (Adobe Reader 7), it says that the PDF file we're trying to open doesn't begin with -PDF%.
we have noticed that in the new version of Acrobat Reader, TPdf component has changed into TAcroPDF. we have changed it, and it compiles properly, but it doesn't work properly. should we change anything in our code, any property, or method?
some lines of our code:
//TPdf *Pdf1; -- old
TAcroPDF *Pdf1;
//Pdf1 = new TPdf(this); -- old
Pdf1 = new TAcroPDF(this);
Pdf1->Parent = this;
Pdf1->Top = 0;
does anybody have any idea? could anyone help us?

I think you are posting in the wrong forum or in the wrong language; not everyone around here understands English.
Not being a programmer, I cannot help you with your problem but, does your PDF really begin with -PDF%? (open it with any text reader and check).

Help for views regarding using Liferay for an already developed project.

First of all, let me tell you what I am or my company is intended to do. We have already developed a project using Java, JSP and Servlet. We want it to integrate with Liferay so that we can change logo, css, images, themes or any other UI related component at run time using Liferay admin panel. But backend should be what we have developed. In short, UI of our project is controlled by Liferay but control of data displayed on UI or submitted from UI should be from our developed backend code.
Now I have a few questions regarding above said approach of fulfilling the requirement:-
1) What we are trying to do is possible?
2) Is this approach recommendable for what we intended to do?
3) Or do we need to develop our project from scratch to fit into Liferay? Like developing portlets and deploying in Liferay or other approach that has been given in Liferay documentation.
4) What about database integration? We have around 15 columns/fields in user table in database of our project which is completely different from that of Liferay's user table.
Liferay is a very new for us. We have checked the documentation section of Liferay but still few things like above said requirements and its implementation is not clear. Also, we would like to know in what scenarios/requirements Liferay is useful.

Search help for Web Dynpro using the SAP-search help

Im trying to create a generic search help for Web Dynpro using the SAP-search help. It should working so, that I construct a Web Dynpro-component, that gets the data of the search help from the SAP-system, interpreted it and creates the ui-elements and the needed context generic.
The mapping between the Input field of the customerview and the right search help is to be made with an xml-file, which contains the information: name of the view, the input field, the search-help-name and the name of the field that will be returned.
The xml-file is reading from a helper-class. That helper-class contains any information, witch need the search help-component as well as the customer-component.
The initialization takes place in the method wdDoModify of the customer. The call of the search help from the customer should be implement with an Action, witch is bound to a Button(create dynamic in the helper-class behind the input field).
In a second foot should be create a plugin for eclipse, witch insert the used files (search help component, helper class, ) in the project. In addition it should create the call in the customer generic.
It would be great if someone can give me a feedback!

The BlanketAgreement.exe is a reference to the executable that will be created when you compile the solution you created in Part II - Part III. I think there is a mistake in the tutorial because it asks you to name the project 'Blanket' which means that by default the executable will be called Blanket.exe and not BlanketAgreement.exe. The tutorial also misses the step asking you to compile the Blanket project before you go on to create an installer. You should compile your Blanket project in Release mode before creating an installer. By compiling the project you'll get a Blanket.exe file in the bin folder of your Blanket project which you then need to add to the installer per the instructions.
SAP do offer development courses in some areas and there is training material here on the SDN and on the SAP partner portal (and maybe the customer portal as well). Try searching this forum for 'training' or 'tutorial' and you should get a few links. There's also a development certification.
Personally I'd recommend you give yourself a little project to work on and just get stuck in

Newbie question - Portlet development in Portal using JDeveloper

Hello.
I've tried to develop a portlet using Oracle JDeveloper, then using it in an Oracle Portal-provided web page.
I'm so really confused... I don't know where to start!
Let'say the portlet is a very simple Hello World static html or jsp page.
What could I do in order to use it in Portal?
Have I to use jpdk? How?
Or have I to deploy it in the Application Server home OC4J as a web application?
Or have I to deploy it in the OC4J_Portal as a web application?
Or....

I'm using Oracle Application Server 10g Portal as middle-tier. It is correlated to an OID/Infrastructure istance wich provides Single SignOn for the applications, based upon an Oracle 9i database, in which runs Oracle Workflow; my needs are to use a Workflow based Java applications in the Oracle Portal as portlets.
Don't worry: by now, I'm interested in just knowing how to run in the Portal a simple Hello World portlet built with JDeveloper...

Hi,
if you already developed using OO concept, it should be possible to:
create a handler for event ONF4
The interface will tell you actual field name and value where F4 is pressed. This will enable you to call your own routine (see FM F4-IF....).
Please check how the standard handles F4 - if you have standard and customer-F4 mixed you shouldtake care that the standard handling is triggered.

How to develop VoIP client using SIP in J2ME?

Hi Everybody,

I am interested about developing VoIP application (using SIP) in J2ME platform. But I am stuck with the problem of MMAPI. Without using MMAPI J2ME has no access to mobile media devices, such as speaker or microphone, and without creating a player MMAPI can't play media data, such as sound or video. But its not possible to record voice and play voice data simultaneously using player in J2ME. So it seems almost impossible to implement VoIP application maintaining all its constraints and requirements, specially in case of delay and jitter.
I am looking for some solution, which will provide the ability to overcome this problem. I come out with two possible solutions, but not sure about their out come. If we can develop a native media application, we can have access to it by using KNI (K Native Interface). In that way we can take some risk to develop VoIP application for J2ME. My another solution is, we can handle the player using MMAPI to record and play voice data in mill second level, so that we can have a real time feeling, though I am not sure if its possible by using RTSP.
If any one have solution of this problem, please help us.

In the BEA documentation "developing SIP Servlet using Eclipse", it says:
WebLogic SIP Server 3.0
JDK 1.4.2
Ant (installed with WebLogic SIP Server 3.0)
Eclipse version 3.1
CVS client and server (required only for version control)
I want to kown it should be JDK 1.4.2 but not 1.5.0?
And how to set Ant which installed with Weblogic SIP Server in Eclipse? Because I checked that Eclipse use the Ant by defaut.
I really have problem with setting up Eclipse for developping SIP Servlet, Thanks for your help!

I have an app(executable) on Mac OS 10.8 built using gcc compiler(without using Xcode). We have Xcode also on that machine. As a developer, we want to register for a unique ID which allows us to sign our app but does not require it be sold through the App Store. So we want our app to be signed by Developer's ID certificate.
From the Apple's forum i found the method to sign my app with Developer ID certificate(using Xcode, it builds the full source code also... ). But it would be helpful if someone tells the method to just load the app(executable) in Xcode and just get that signed by Developer ID certificate(As i don't want to build the full source code, i just want that executable to be signed).
Please let me know the steps to be followed to load the app(executable) in Xcode and get that signed by Developer ID certificate.

hey thanks for the help...i saw these tools but my problem will not be solved by these as the diagram i need to generate from XML is a class diagram. The components of class diagram cannot be made using swings...eg arrow,rectangle,aggregation symbol etc....

My problem on this link and other postings on this site seem to be the same. Can you help me understand the use of the word POSITIONS in these context:
1. Our client has asked for financial transaction reports in BW, such as position of Borrowings, Investments and Hedge Operations (TM data).
2. I have a requirement on, some reports related to Money Market (Fixed Term Deposits, Deposits at Notice) something on FSCM-Treasury and Risk Manager. These reports will be similar to that of Loans, i.e. Position statement, flow statement, etc.
3. The set of position values for a single position or a limited amount of positions can be reported by transactions TPM12 and TPM13 in R3.
4. 0CFM_C10 (Financial Positions Cube)
Do you have some simple report outputs to help clarify how the word POSITION is used in such environments?

If I future buy 10 shares in company at £1 per share - at the end of the day my potential value is £10

Can someone please please tell me if there is a way to get my Outlook inbox emails back OR EVEN the emails that were in my Mail app - because even tho I never use the Mail app, at least the emails would be there.
When I was trying to delete the emails in my inbox for the Mail app - I followed THESE directions. It did in fact clear my inbox for the Mail app. But then I went to log on to my Outlook account and EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was gone. And not in the Deleted box. Just gone. Here are the directions I followed that screwed everything up. Please help.
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors.
Uncheck "Store deleted messages on the server".
At the drop list for "Permanently erase deleted messages when", choose "Quitting Mail".
Next...
Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > General.
At "When searching all mailboxes, include results from", uncheck "Trash".
Select All = command A

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!
its something with that update that effected mail, i hope this works out for you, if not reply back

I still can't get my contacts to open in Numbers like they used to do. I have a group of five addresses in a test folder in Mail called "untitled group." But no amount of pasting, dragging, etc can get them to open up in Numbers. My "real" folder has almost 100 addresses so I can't do it one by one.
Thoughts?

Bob,
You can place contacts in a table In Numbers by the following methods:
Numbers 2.3:
drag from contacts
Numbers 3.2
copy from contacts, then paste into Numbers
In both cases you need to open System preferences, then select the "Security & Privacy panel and allow Numbers aaccess your contacts information.
