Help! Frameworks accidentally changed

Using Mac OSX Leopard.
Accidentally I moved, not copied, a framework from one place to another, now, not suprisingly, no applications will start. I have started the computer in single user mode but I can't get the syntax right to copy the folder back to its original position. If anyone could help me I would be grateful, these forums seem to be very prompt and knowledgable.
Problem:Transferred /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ LaunchServices.framework to
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks
I need to copy the whole folder with contents back to the other folder, im unsure of the syntax, ie cp -r? Any help would be excellent. I keep getting a 'read only directory' message. Please any help? Its not my computer, and I fear much shouting is afoot.

When I try "cp -rf System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/L aunchServices.framework /System/Library/Frameworks/Coreservices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/" All the files return errors like "Bad file descriptor", "no such file or directory", "Unable to copy extended attributes". Is the cp -rf code incorrect? Or will this be fixed once ive changed the drive to read/write? Im trying to copy the folder LaunchServices.framework in the first directory into the frameworks folder in the second so confirmation that the copy code is correct?
Sorry to be such a pain but i'm real uncertain about whats going on here.

Try Settings>General>Accessibility>Large Text>select the font size you want. I may also be that you have inadvertently turned on Zoom, try double tapping the screen with three fingers to decrease zoom then go into Settings>General>Accessibility>Zoom>OFF. I would also consider turning off Triple Click Home in Settings>General>Accessibility>Triple-click Home>OFF as this may have enabled zoom inadvertently.

I accidentally changed network settings and now I can't connect to internet

(I posted this on the board for OS X 10.4, but I figured my OS is irrelevant to my problem, so I thought I'd post it here for a better chance of getting help)
I accidentally changed some network settings on one of the computers on my network, and now it wont connect to the internet. All the other computers on the network work fine. I guess I need help getting things back to how they were.
I have absolutely no experience with networks, so I don't have a clue what to do. One thing I notice that might be of help is that when it's set to "Configure: Using DHCP," the section for "Router:" is blank. No address. The router address on all the other computers is 192.168.1.1. Similarly, the IP address on all the computers is some variation of 192.168.1.x, but on the problem computer it's a completely random number (as far as I can tell).
Any help would be EXTREMELY appreciated.

Open Network preferences on the computer, select the connection method, click on the Advanced button. Click on the TCP/IP tab and set the Configure IPv4 drop down menu to DHCP. Click on the Apply button.
BTW, you need to post your questions in the appropriate forum which would have been the appropriate Tiger forum. This is the Snow Leopard forum.

This is driving me crazy. I am suddenly being presented with CYMK colors to 2 decimal points. Too much info for me. What did I accidentally change and how can I fix it? I've been through all of the preferences, views etc. I can find but no luck. Thinking this has something to with the color settings (obviously) but with all of the possible options there I could use some help. Thanks, all!

May have been a switch from RGB to CMYK.
Or you moved one of the sliders with shift key pressed.

Accidentally changed adobe language - help

somehow i accidentally changed the adobe language from english to german. now i can't understand the instructions. how do i change the language back to english?

Hold the Control (Ctrl) key on the keyboard and double click on the Adobe Reader shortcut on the desktop. This will display a pop up box asking for you to select the language of your choice. Select English from within the same, and click OK. That shoudl reset the UI language back to English.

I have accidentally changed my i Pod touch password. Help!

I have accidentally changed my i Pod's password and now can't get it to work.
Have no ide what is the new password.

Note that if you enter the wrong passcode you'll see a screen that says "Wrong Passcode, try again."
If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "[Device] is disabled" and to try again later:
If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect it to the computer with which you last synced it.
Note: You can configure your device to erase itself after ten consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

If it is still under warranty you can call the 800 number to apple and enter the serial number and it will tell you if it is under warranty or not if not its like $30 basically for them to help or something like that it said today when i called...
Or take it to a genius bar if you have one near?

I accidentally changed permissions of all the files of my system drive (10.8.5)

Hi,
By mistake, I accidentally changed the permissions for all the files of my entire system drive. On the root of my system drive, I've put on "Read and Write" for Admin, staff, and everyone, and applied this change to all the files of my entire drive.
Since I did that, I experiment issues with some applications which worked perfectly before that : when I try to open some applications (not all, just some), it tells me things like "something is wrong in the installation of the application", or "can't open the following application", or it simply just doesn't open it.
I have to mention I have no Time Machine or backups of my drive, as I bought my mac three days ago and spent the two last days installing plugins and applications on my drive (for audio production). So I can't replace my drive with a backup of the system before I accidentally changed all permissions.
Also, I repaired permissions on my drive with the disk utility, but all the app that doesn't work are from external developpers (not apple).
Is there any way to "repair" this without having to reinstall all the app that are causing problems ? It would be a pain for me as I just spent 48hours installing everything...

You need a backup, preferably more than one. This is an example of why.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Check whether you have any enhancement option (BADI, user exit, Customer enhancement etc) in the program which is used to save the data in the SAP standard table. If so, then try to write your code in that appropriate enhancement.

I accidentally changed my default browser to Firefox. I need it back on IE. Now, my shortcut to IE goes to Firefox instead. So, I don't have IE to change it. How can I change my default browser back to IE through Firefox? Thanks!

Don't know what else to add. I always use Firefox. My husband refuses to. I have a shortcut for him to get to the internet, and it always came up to via IE. Now, I somehow accidentally changed the default browser to Firefox, so when using that shortcut, it takes him to the Firefox browser instead of IE. He is furious! How can I change it back?

You can make IE the default browser, that will reset some registry keys 
Control Panel > Internet Options: Programs 
Put a check in the box next to 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser' 
Start IE and let IE make itself the default browser.
Check the default settings in: 
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > "Set Program Access And Defaults" (on the left) 
Open: Custom (click arrow on the right) 
Select "Internet Explorer" under "Choose a default Web Browser" 
Click OK

you can change the values of your spot swatch, but you have to check many things before.
e.g. you can do something like this:

This will change the black value of the cmyk spot color with name Varnish to 0

T the Op the easiest way of reseting your preferences is the hold the command option shift keys down as Illustrator launches you have to click on the Illustrator icon and quickly hold these keys down.
Oh yes on the PCit is control alt shift.
