  • Help:How can I run the J2EE Client Application? Thanks

    Help:How can I run the J2EE Client Application that will access the remote J2EE1.4 application server which runs on another host computer?
    I have developped a stateles senterprise java bean name converter and deloyed it in the j2ee1.4 application server on the host machine A. The converterbean provides the remote home interface and remote interface. At the same time I have developped the j2ee application client named convertappclient. When I access the conveter bean at host computer A through the script 'appclient.bat' as 'appclient -client convertappclient.jar', the client can access the bean sucessfully. Now I want to access the bean through the script 'appclient.bat' at host computer B,what files should I copy from host computer A to host computer B;and what the command line should be like? Thanks!
    The following are the code of the enterprise java bean and it's home interface .
    The client code is also provided.
    The enterprise java bean:
    package converter;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    import javax.ejb.SessionBean;
    import javax.ejb.SessionContext;
    import java.math.*;
    public class ConverterBean implements SessionBean {
    BigDecimal yenRate = new BigDecimal("121.6000");
    BigDecimal euroRate = new BigDecimal("0.0077");
    public ConverterBean() {
    public BigDecimal dollarToYen(BigDecimal dollars) {
    BigDecimal result = dollars.multiply(yenRate);
    return result.setScale(2, BigDecimal.ROUND_UP);
    public BigDecimal yenToEuro(BigDecimal yen) {
    BigDecimal result = yen.multiply(euroRate);
    return result.setScale(2, BigDecimal.ROUND_UP);
    public void ejbCreate() {
    public void ejbRemove() {
    public void ejbActivate() {
    public void ejbPassivate() {
    public void setSessionContext(SessionContext sc) {
    The bean's remote home interface :
    package converter;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    import javax.ejb.CreateException;
    import javax.ejb.EJBHome;
    public interface ConverterHome extends EJBHome {
    Converter create() throws RemoteException, CreateException;
    The bean's remote interface:
    package converter;
    import javax.ejb.EJBObject;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    import java.math.*;
    public interface Converter extends EJBObject {
    public BigDecimal dollarToYen(BigDecimal dollars) throws RemoteException;
    public BigDecimal yenToEuro(BigDecimal yen) throws RemoteException;
    The j2ee application client:
    import converter.Converter;
    import converter.ConverterHome;
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.InitialContext;
    import javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject;
    import java.math.BigDecimal;
    public class ConverterClient {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    try {
    Context initial = new InitialContext();
    System.setProperty("java.naming.factory.initial","org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory");
                   System.setProperty("java.naming.provider.url","jnp://10.144.97.250:3700");
    Context myEnv = (Context) initial.lookup("java:comp/env");
    Object objref = myEnv.lookup("ejb/SimpleConverter");
    ConverterHome home =
    (ConverterHome) PortableRemoteObject.narrow(objref,
    ConverterHome.class);
    Converter currencyConverter = home.create();
    BigDecimal param = new BigDecimal("100.00");
    BigDecimal amount = currencyConverter.dollarToYen(param);
    System.out.println(amount);
    amount = currencyConverter.yenToEuro(param);
    System.out.println(amount);
    System.exit(0);
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    System.err.println("Caught an unexpected exception!");
    ex.printStackTrace();
    }

    Surprisingly I find an upsurge in the number of posts with this same problem. I recently found a post which gave a nice link for this. Follow the steps and it should help:

  • Please help How can i run Os commands thru Java programs

    Hey,
    I want to stop and restart the linux server thru java program.Is it possible to run the os commands thru java program.
    I had it thru Runtime.getRuntime().exec("*.exe");
    it only runs the exe files.How can run files other than exe files like .bat,com ans shell commands..Any body knows please help with the code..or mail to this address
    [email protected]
    thankyou,
    regards,
    j.mouli

    What about "start command.com /C execute.bat", or using the overload that takes a String[] as argument?
    What if you use the the full path of execute.bat?
    What error code do you get?
    And what comes th linux, I'm not sure... you'll need a shell interpreter there too, me thinks. (never had to run anything with runtime.exec on linux). Check the man pages if csh, bash, ksh, or what ever shell you like.

  • How can I run the JasperReport  Applet?

    Hi all
    I'm trying to find a proper GUI to generate reports.
    I tried eclipse [birt-report] but it has lots of bugs executing on windows XP.
    I tried ireport, but it only generate reports by queries which is not suitable for my user.
    I tried jar files like JPal and ... but having trouble running them.
    I tried openReport but had a lot of trouble configuring it.
    Which GUI should I use? I need to have a Query builder like oracle report have, which GUI does have something like it?
    I prefer Open Source and free ones.
    Does running jasper report applet give me any facility to easily generate reports without code involvement?

    I did that .... like the following:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE>JoinD</TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <applet code=JoinD.class width = 800 height =600>
    </applet>
    <H2>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    I put the java file as well as HTML file into the same folder .... then compile in DOS and use the appletviewer to run.... but there is nothing to show in the applet
    do u know why ??

  • How can i run applets in kawa?

    how can i run compiled applet programs in KAWA
    help me

    If you always have the external display connected, you can configure the OS to consider it as the default or main display. Once everything is connected and set to your liking (resolution, color depth, etc.), "bless" the external display by clicking & dragging the menubar from the Mac's internal display onto the external. This only works if you are not using video mirroring.
    Once this is done, applications will open by default on the external and now "main" display and you can configure them to go fullscreen or whatever.

  • Help: How can my user run my Application

    Group,
    I created a user "test1" as developer, user "test2" as end user at the same workspace TT. Then I created the application testapp1 as "test1".
    Then I login to my website http://localhost:7777/htmldb/htmldb_login as
    workspace: TT
    username: test2
    password: temppassword
    But after I login as test2, there is only one item "administrative", I do not see any applications that test1 just creaetd. How couild I make the application created by "test1" seen by "test2"? How can "test2" run the application "testapp1"?
    Thanks very much for your help.

    I think if you read the thread carefully, you'll find that it's not suggesting you give out your developer password. It's suggesting that you give your users a URL that takes users directly to the application rather than the development environment (workspace), e.g.
    http://www.myurl.com/pls/dad/f?p=101:1
    Where 101 is the application ID and 1 the page where you'd like the user to start. If authentication is required, the user will be presented with a login page. If you want a menu of applications, you'll have to create a static page with links to each application. You could also implement a menu using a public HTML DB application with a list of links.

    regards
    sheetal

    Hi,
    You can try a package named: JTwain, which is available at http://asprise.com/product/jtwain.
    JTwain supports all kinds of digital cameras and scanners. You can use Java to access, contorl digital cameras and scanners, and of course, to acquire images with flexible settings.
    The developers' guide is available @ http://asprise.com/product/jtwain/devGuide.php
    In the simplest case, one line of Java code can solve your problem.
    Good luck!

  • How Can I Run A SQLJ Normal Project In SAP NWDS

    I have a question about SQLJ in SAP NWDS.
    1.I created a java dictionary project,and then create the table , then depoly it.it's ok.
    2.I created a java normal project including the above java dictionary project.
    3.I used the SQLJ tech in the java normal project,exporting the opensqllib.jar,sqljapi.jar,sqljc.jar,sqljimpl.jar.
    4.I coded the normal project,and export the project .jar,everything is ok.
    <b>5.But when i runed the project in NWDS,the error appeared:java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/sql/log/OpenSQLException
         at com.ezkj.deom.sqlj.MainApp.main(MainApp.java:21)
    Exception in thread "main"</b>
    How Can I Run A SQLJ Normal Project In SAP NWDS?
    PLS Help me and don't let me alone!

    Tony,
    Why not try to import your SQLJ project in SAP NWDS. Add all the jars mentioned to the project path both for compile time as well as runtime. Now try running he project. Once you are able to bypass java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError, you will get other errors related to SQL statements. These Oracle SQL statements needs to be converted to OpenSQL format.
    Chill out!!!

  • How can I run 2 keynote presentations on 2 different macs with only one keyboard?

    How can I have 2 different keynote presentations that I want to run simultaneously through 2 different projectors, but I'd like to try and avoid using 2 keyboards - and use a hardware solution, rather than relying on my 2 fingers!! (it's a long conference!!!) thanks for any help.

    Open the CSS in DW, and use F10 to open the Code Inspector.
    Place the
    latter as needed.

  • How can i run a jar file as EXE on mouse click..

    *{color:#0000ff}how can i run a jar file as EXE on mouse click..is it possible in any way?????????{color}*

    amrit_j2ee wrote:
    *{color:#0000ff}how can i run a jar file as EXE on mouse click..is it possible in any way?????????{color}*Do you mean converting it from a jar file to an EXE file or do you mean that you would like to run the application by just double clicking it?
    If it's the latter then you need to make the jar file including a manifest.
    The manifest can be just a txt file with its content to be something like this:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.7.1
    Created-By: Somebody
    Main-Class: NameOfTheMainClass
    Class-Path:
    X-COMMENT: Main-Class will be added automatically by buildTo make the jar file including the manifest, use something like this in your command prompt (of course you must have compiled your java file(s) first):
    jar cfm test.jar MANIFEST.txt NameOfTheMainClass.classAfter that you'd be able to run your application just by double clicking it.
    If you're a NetBeans user, you can build your standalone application by right-clicking your project and then going to properties => run => and choosing a Main class. After that right click on that project and "Clean and Build", locate the jar file in the "dist" folder and double click it =]
    Hope it helps,

  • How can i run a executable right after a rman job has run?

    How can i run a executable right after a rman job has run?
    I have a rman job that execute every night. The backup is local.
    I want to have a duplicate of the backup on another machine.
    I want the executable to sync the directory to execute right after the rman backup.
    How can i do this using the job scheduler?
    Normaly, i would configure rman to run the backup on both location. But im having trouble with rman regarding this:ORA-600 [2103] on RMAN Backup to NFS mounted file system

    Hi,
    If the rman job is in fact a Scheduler jobs (appears in the dba_scheduler_jobs view) then you can create a second event-based job that runs after the rman job (and set the raise_events attribute for the rman job).
    Instructions are here
    Create Event based job
    Hope this helps,
    Ravi.

    I have adobe CS 5.1 and recently (after an update) it is giving me an error (Could not save...because of a program error) every time I try to save my work as a PDF>  Help how can I get this resolved??

    Run the cleaner, reinstall.
    Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    And don't bother with running any updates unless you really need them or they fix a critical issue relevant to your workflow.

    How can I set Environment variables in Windows2000 Professional Environment?
    Actually, I want to extract some records from a MySQL Database running on Apache Server. I wrote a program just to select the columns and show them. It is now a Class file, Now how can I run this class file from the Server???

    System.err.print("SQLException: ");
    System.err.println(ex.getMessage());
    Please advise... THANKS

    Ehm, I wasn't referring to you at all... read up,
    there's a comment by jschell saying that CGI might be
    easier/better for his purposes.
    Yep.
    I know PHP/Perl/whatever might be easier for some
    purposes, but only if you happen to know them and want
    to/are able to use them. Ok. But you aren't the one asking the question are you. And the person who asked the question seems to have absolutely no familiarity with Apache or applets.
    So whatever they do they are going to have to learn a lot.
    And that does indeed suggest that in all likelyhood they have not investigated the alternatives.
    And for the vast majority of internet applications, especially with smaller projects (obvious this person is not working with a large team), using perl, or something besides java, is going to be the best business solution. It is simpler, and more secure (probably due to the fact that it is simpler.)
    Since this is a Java forum, I
    answer under the assumption that people have made a
    choice one way or another to use a Java solution to
    their problem, so I try to solve it in Java first, and
    only when that fails (very seldom) do I turn to other
    solutions.You approach problems by arbritrarily deciding to try to solve it in java first and only if you fail do you then look to other solutions?
    My first step is to try to figure out which of the various avenues is going to cost less. (And a secondary, but non-trivial concern, is then to convince the customer that just because they have heard of a buzz word like 'enterprise bean' that it doesn't mean that is a cost effective solution.) We must come from different worlds.
