Does at& t save the pictures I take on its server iphone 6. Can I get a copy of time photos were taken on a specific day. May 14 @ may 15. I need this for a legal issue. I do not the the photos themselves just a history for those dates. NO the phone is not backed up

If the phone isn't backed up, how are the photos supposed to be saved anywhere? Apple provide you 5 GB of backup in iCloud, you can also backup more if you backup to your computer.
So, why didn't you back up the phone?

Those are bugs of long standing, I have had those bugs since Vista came out. CAN IT BE THAT HARD?

Select (highlight) the file in Finder and then use the Finder File menu Get Info (or Command I) and in the Open With section of the Get Info choose the application you want to open the file. Another method is to right-click the file in Finder.

Help Please - Can't See External Hard Drive

Hi,
Apologies for the length of this post, I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give me with this problem.
I've been using an Lacie external firewire drive for ages and suddenly I can't see the icon on my desktop or access it.
I realised a few months ago I changed the name of the drive and accidently put a space at the start of the title - is this the problem? I think it's been working fine up to today.
I can see the disk in Utilities and get the following error message when I try and verify the drive:
Disk Utility stopped verifying “ Audio Drive 1 ” because the following error was encountered:
The underlying task reported failure on exit
And:- Verifying volume “ Audio Drive 1 ”
Invalid Volume Header
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.

The volume Audio Drive 1 needs to be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
When I try and repair, I get the following:
First Aid Failed

Can anyone help me with this: I recently bought an external hard-drive (maxtor seagate 1Terrabite) to backup everything on my macbook/PC/Playstation 3, but at the time of purchase i forgot that they all use different formatting systems (FAT32,NTFS etc) how silly of me.....
is it possible to partition my External HDD in separate formats e.g: one partition as FAT32 and another as OSX, so that i can backup all my data from all my different systems, like my PS3.
if this isent possible, the only other option i could think of is to just buy another external HDD but then it all becomes to costly

Help! Can't use separate hard drive to load software

I have a separate 120GB hard drive and want to store & load my Final Cut Pro software on here to lighten the load on my macbook pro. It won't let me use the separate hard drive as the start up drive to load FC pro. IS there a way I can change this? Is it something to do with partitioning it in Disk Utility?

Ah!
You are quite right, ordinaryjo. You can only install the FCP application on a bootable drive, and only run it while booted from that drive. So yes, to run FCP from your external you will have to install OSX on it first , and boot from that drive when you wish to use it.
The way that most people avoid overloading their notebook drives when using FCP without having to do this is to install only the FCP applications on the internal drive, and to put everything else associated with the applications (templates, etc etc etc) on the external . The applications only take up about 4 GB of space, rather than the 60+ GB involved with a complete installation.

It can't be that hard...!

Okay, I have been using the "Presentation" template and ALL I
WANT is to have a video on each slide and one controller to control
them all. OR, if that won't work, one controller per video... but
after 8 hours, I still CAN'T GET ANYTHING TO WORK RIGHT! Either the
one controller for all videos works but the videos don't ever load,
or if I put one controller on each slide, only one controller is
recognized so the others don't work at all. I have given each
individual component a different name, etc. I can't believe this is
really as difficult as it seems. Can someone offer me advice or a
tutorial or something? Please??!?!?!?

Help? Can not find external hard drive after upgrading to 10.6.3

I upgraded my iMac to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and now my external hard drive does not appear. Not sure what to do.

It is powered (the light is on). I was uploading photos from the drive yesterday, so it worked perfectly fine before the upgrade to 10.6.8 (which I did during the night). Is there anything else to try before I move it to another computer to see if it works? Again, thanks.

I selected that option and put a name and sequence number.
To date 7 people have read the post - but NONE has a single comment?
Really? You mean NOONE on this list has tried to rename files when using the Photo Downloader
and encountered the same problem? NOONE??

I personally never rename files using the downloader. I have occasionally used batch rename in Bridge, but it's always worked okay for me. Sorry to disappoint.

Sounds like you bought the iPad secondhand and the previous owner did not remove it from his/her iCloud account.
If you are unable to contact the original owner, the iPad is (unfortunately) useless to you.

Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.

Time Capsule can't backup external hard drives connected to it. Got that.

Hello Apple Support Communities! This is my first post. Hope this finds you all well My first year as an Apple user. I bought a 2-Tb TC and am running my first backup to my MacBook as I write this.
Problem statement: TC can't backup external hard drives connected directly to it, but the ones connected to the Macs that are connected wirelessly to it. Duly noted. However, the Spotlight will reindex the hard drives connected to the Mac and that will take hours; the whole backup will take days. Thus, excluding the hard drives at "System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy tab" will probably help reduce the time of backup, or just ejecting them will do too. That itself has not proven effective coz it's still taking forever (50Gb in 2 days, still going).
Questions:
1) Do I wait until my first backup to my MacBook's internal hard drive is done before I connect my hard drives to my MacBook and attempt another backup? If yes, how do I go about the excessive time Spotlight reindexing takes if I intend to backup my hard drives connected to my MacBook?
2) Is there any other way of speeding up the first-time backup?
*Note: All versions of OS and firmwares are up-to-date. TC is connected to an external wireless router. TC is intended to be used as backup device and / or file server only.

How do I backup the externel hard drives connected to my MB. I was under the impression that that has already been done, because I've read it somewhere in a discussion that said it's done automatically unless I exclude it from a backup, which I didn't. So it's supposed to backup the external hard drivestoo because I had them connected to my MB the entire time during the backups.
By default an external drive is excluded.. the list is odd.. if I plug a drive into the mac.. it immediately is listed as excluded.
This is not the list of included.. this is the list of excluded.. remove it from the excluded list to include it.
It is kind of reverse polish notation in backups.
If I want to enter the Time Machine, should I enter it with the TM turned on or off?
Not sure what the question means. If you use the star wars display and want to recover files then use TM off.. but read up pondini.. how to do restore etc.

Once you have finished the main backup you can go back to wireless. The incremental backups are mostly very small.

OK. You have a Boot Camp partition which is why the issue. See the following:
It seems the issue is that the space at the "bottom" of your available space when Lion installs it's partition is already occupied by BootCamp. The fix was to go into Disk Utility; Select your Hard Drive; Select Partition; Move the bottom of your main partition "up" a bit to create a space for Lion; close Disk Utility; Install Lion; once Lion is successfully installed, go back into Disk Partition and drag the bottom of your main partition back "down" to the bottom of the window.
In your case use Disk Utility to "shrink" your OS X partition a little more than 1 GB.
To resize the drive do the following:
1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
After the main menu appears select Disk Utility and click on the Continue button. Select the hard drive's main entry then click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
2. You should see the graphical sizing window showing the existing partitions. A portion may appear as a blue rectangle representing the used space on a partition.
3. In the lower right corner of the sizing rectangle for each partition is a resizing gadget. Select it with the mouse and move the bottom of the rectangle upwards until you have reduced the existing partition enough to create the desired empty space. The space below the resized partition will appear gray. Click on the Apply button and wait until the process has completed.
Remember that you only need to shrink the OS X partition a little more than 1 GB. Now, when you try the Mountain Lion installation the installer will be able to make the Recovery HD.

How can I check that my Hard disk is OK

I recently suffered a HD disk crash, all data lost and lucky that I had a backup on an external hard drive.
Can anyone tell me how I can ensure / monitor that my new Hard disk is OK and in good shape?

You can check in Disk Utility > Smart Status, it will monitor the internal drive.
If your technically minded, what you do is use Disk Utility booted on another medium like a Carbon Copy Cloner clone drive, then target the internal drive and select the Erase feature and move the slider one space to the right from the left and click Apply.
This will of course will erase everything on the drive, so you need to select the entire drive to erases everything.
The slider moved one space to the right in Disk Utility is what's called a Zero fill, it's typically a security feature for hard drives to remove all traces of data, but it doubles as a method to engage the automatic ability for the driver firmware to map off any bad or failing sectors on the magnetic medium of your hard drive as the Zero's are read back for confirmation.
It's about as low level format as one can do.
Why do this? Because all drives ship with bad sectors, some with entire defective areas on the drive.
So this Zero fill process helps get rid of most of them and it checks the integrity of the entire drive BEFORE you lay your data on it.
It results in a very fast read speeds and very reliable hard drive retention of the data you place on it, as it only does so on mostly good sectors.

Eject and disconnect the drive (and its power supply, if it has a separate one) for a few moments, then restart it. Restart your Mac, then reconnect the drive.
If that doesn't help, the directory structure may be damaged. See if you can Repair it, per #6 in Using Disk Utility.
