Help locating a Flash file on a server / in a web page

Basically I've just been asked to look at a site, and make a copy of it, but the owner does not have the FTP details.
So I've done what I can to copy the files, and upload it elsewhere. The only glitch I have is the flash animation in the header, which I can't seem to find.

I'm not really familiar with Flash, so I was just looking for a .swf file, or reference to it, but couldn't see anything.
If anyone can help track it down at all from clues in the source code, that would be much appreciated.
(Otherwise I'll probably need to do screen captures and recreate it with a JS image rotator.)

Is there a way to have one flash player play all movies on a web page ?   For example, you have a list of FLV movies on a page and you click on any them and it will play on the same player on the web page. Or does each movie needs it's own ?

Yes, for the design I made, the movies are loaded from the server. Here is the code for the design. It is done using AS2, and the stage includes two buttons (s1, s2) for playing the individual videos, one button to play them both (playall), one after the other, and the video object (video1_video) that was added via small menu you find at the top of the library panel's frame.
I cannot say this would work directly for your implementation, but it gives you some things you can look into so that you can figure out how.

Hello and welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum.
I have hardly any experience with HP printers but since your posting has not been replied to yet I thought I'd offer some assistance.
With the printer status and ink levels working, it shows that you have a connection to the printer. So I would look at the issue being with the protocol being used for the print queue on the Mac.
Since you have XP and Vista working, I would check the printer queue configuration on either box. In XP, go to the Properties and select Ports. Click the Configure Port tab to view the connection. If you are using RAW, then this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket on OS X. So if you are not sure what protocol was used before I would create another printer queue, this time selecting IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket. Then enter your IP address and select the K5400dn from the Print Using menu.
If this still fails to print then please reply. There may be limitations with adding the HP driver this way that I am not aware of. There may also be other driver options you can look at, such as HPIJS. If Greg Sahli reads this posting he has expert knowledge on this matter and will be able to offer some guidance.

"where to keep *.dll files in weblogic server 6.1 sp2". Application is deployed on weblogic server 6.1 sp2. Application is being integrated with webmethod to publish data. For that we need to put awssl40jn.dll in weblogic server. Could not able to locate where to put this dll file.

You can have the dll's anywhere. You just need to mention the location
in java.library.path.
For example if you have your Dll's in C:\bea\lib
You need to mention the following in your command line args:
java -Djava.library.path=C:\bea\lib ****Other Command Line Args****
weblogic.Server

Help with building flash files for streaming

I filmed a product demonstration for a client who wanted to put it on his website. I edited the footage in PremPro CS4 and exported to Media Encoder as F4V file format. After encoding imported footage into CS4 Encore, created timeline, chose, Flash from Format and swf for output. Progressive Download which allows video to begin playing as it is downloaded (I believe), chose destinations and settings. After transcoding I had 1 file folder, Sources that contained the following files _PGC_Bpge_entryPoint_Bbp_1.f4v, and then 3 separate files, *not* in the file folder called Sources. They are
AuthoredContent.xml, FlashDVD.swf, and Index.html.
I submitted all files to client who gave them to web designer. Designer said these were the wrong files and he could not use them. I called designer and basically he said I didn't know what I was doing. I told him he needed all files to put up the flash video. Anyway, am I missing something, doing something wrong? Are there other files he needs? He said he only needed 1 file. Or is it the designer? I'm not thin skinned so if it's me please tell me so, so I don't make the same errors. Thanks. <The client wants a control player, i.e. play, stop, pause, etc., that's it, so the viewer can simply provide the function themselves. This is similar to youtube, blogger, etc.
The web designer can use what you provided, which does what you describe the client wanting. But the web designer may need to integrate what Encore provided onto a web page, and the client may not have made the expectations clear and may not know what is needed. As I said, the Encore to flash player gives almost no options for the player controls and colors etc may be problems.
<Encore did encode the f4v file. When I exported from PremPro what preset should I hve chosen -- mpeg2 DVD, flv/f4v. So the only file he needs in addition to what I gave him is the original f4v file?
I don't know whether the f4v you exported from Premiere was progressive. The f4v from Encore might be fine, or you might need to export from Premiere again.
The other issue is that some "player" with controls needs to be provided by you or the web designer (who may have an issue with the client not getting the designer to lay all this out to begin with). There are several threads about "flv players" you might check out. Does the client have video on his site already? If so, you can figure out what they are using, and it will help with your process.
should I have chosen "flash server" instead of "progressive". i must admit i never did this before. other clients just have me post it to youtube and provide them with embed code.

Urgent.... Help Needed for Storing file in Application Server

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I have to save a file in Application Server.
File is of 141 Character Length, so there can be spaces left at the end.
When I am downloading the file into Application Sever and then downloading the same file from Application Server to Presentation into a notepad then the spaces at the end are truncating.
I want that the file that is generated should be of 141 character though if there may be spaces at the end.
It will be great if you can help me out in this.

when downloading to App server, you need to specify the LENGTH option on your TRANSFER ststement to keep fixed length. You must also use a STRING type variable in your transfer.
From Documentation on Transfer command:
<b>If the file was opened as a text file or a legacy text file, the trailing blank characters are deleted for all data objects, except for those of data type string. The line end marker defined when the file was opened is then added to the remaining content of the data object or to the result of the conversion, and the final result is written byte-by-byte to the file.</b>
There also used to be a problem with WS_DOWNLOAD - you had to do the following:
Maintaining Trailing spaces when downloading to PC
Before calling DOWNLOAD or WS_DOWNLOAD, do a perform SET_TRAIL_BLANKS(saplgrap) using 'X'
To set the length of each record including your blanks add this code: perform SET_FIXLEN(saplgrap) using '0' '100'
Don't think this is needed any more.

Need Help Getting a Flash File to stop playing after 15 seconds

I was sent 3 flash files at work, however they infinitely
look and many places require that these stop playing after 15
seconds. In addition to this, at the 15 second mark at the current
frame rate, the spot is only 85% complete. I figure I can increase
the fps but I can't get the spot to stop. The stop code is of
little use. Any help? Thank!

you can use setTimeout(yourfunction,15000) to call
yourfunction after 15000 milliseconds. in yourfunction your can use
yourMovieclip.stop().

Help in executing jsp files using weblogic server 6.0.

          I have an operating system Windows2000, i have downloaded 30 day trial version of weblogic server 6.0.
          I have a file called hello.jsp.
          Where do i have to save hello.jsp file in weblogic server 6.0.
          How do i execute hello.jsp through browser using weblogic server6.0.
          As there is no properties file in weblogic server6.0.
          TO run it i started default server and when i started default console it got opened in the browser as http://127.0.0.1:7001/console/index.jsp
          Where do i have to save it and how do i open it in the browser.
          Any help will be greatly appreciated.

          I started the Start default Server and opened the http://localhost:7001/ in the bowser and by default
          this loaded the index.html file
          and when i tried to change index.html to hello.jsp i got the same error message as before

How do I get a 'insert - hyperlink - file' to display in a new web page?

When I insert the link to a downloadable file, that's fine.
But I'm losing my eyeballs because iWeb uses the same webpage to open my downloadable file.
The option to check, 'open in new web page' is not appearing.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You need to first upload the file to your server and use the URL to the file at that location as the link to external page option of the Inspector/Link/Hyperlink pane. If the browser supports displaying the file type it will open in a new window.

Flash/Flash Player will not open link to web page when clicked

Hi there, I am testing a FLASH animation ad that has links to a website. When I click on the links, it opens firefox but it doesn't go to the link! I have added the links and the file names in the Adobe Flash Settings Manager, restarted several times, restarted in Safe Mode and it still does not work! I cannot find any information on this. My coworker also tried it and it does not work for him on IE on Windows. HOWEVER, If I have SAFARI open it works fine, and If I drag and drop the .swf file into either browser and then click on the links it goes to the web page. If it helps I am on a MAC using Snow Leopard and I am using Flash CS3.

Go to global security settings.
Click browse for folder, go to your drive root (or the folder where your swf/fla is and select it. You should see that folder get added to the security exception list. Re-test tell me what happens.

Flash video skin controls not appearing on web page

Hi
I have a puzzle. I have some test movie clips that are
operated (played) by pressing a thumbnail. All works ok in the
resultinmg html and flash file that is produced, but when I import
the flash movi into DW, the controls disappear, but the movie
plays...

I have a similar problem. I have an FLV which sits inside my flash movie. It works fine when previewing it within the flash viewer.
But when embedding the flash movie into a html page - the controls magically disappear!
Now i have tried copying the skin to EVERY SINGLE LOCATION WITHIN MY FOLDER STRUCTURE...but it still does not display.
Any more suggestions??

Flash beginner... insert SWF into web page and create play button

I am trying to insert and SWF into my webpage. I have 3 problems, 1. I am new to flash and aren't any good at it yet. 2. How do I tell the movie to stop at the end, and insert a "play again" button? 3. What do I need to do to insert that into my webpage.
I realize these aren't yes or no answers, so I even appreciate input on the best way to learn Flash for myself.

2. It can depend, but snce you are probably using the timeline, most likely you just need to put a stop(); command in the last frame to have it stop at the end.
To get it to play again, your button's function code will need to include something like: gotoAndPlay(1);
How the button code gets done depends on which version of Actionscript your file is using.
3. When you publish your swf file, also have Flash publish an html file (you set this up in the Publish Settings). You can then take that html file and copy the embedding code it contains into your web page html file. You may have to include a javascript file as well to make it work, and you can tell that by looking in the head code of the html file Flash created... that head code also needs to go into your web page html file and the javascript file needs to be placed according to how your html code targets it.
You might do best just to get the html page Flash creates working for you first. It might make figuring out how to move it into your web page easier.
My opinion: the best way to learn Flash for yourself is to just dig in and keep at it. You will lose hair and sleep and your mind as you go, but eventually you either get used to that and/or you overcome it.

Can't connect to server on certain web pages

I can only open certain web pages for some reason. The ones I can't open says can't connect to server. Don't get it. Help please

I can type anything into google and press search and I can only go to 3 of those pages, the others will say cant connect to server. Same with pictures, I google something, anything, go to images and half the pictures will be question marks and then the others I click on may or may not have server connection.

Browser flashes when any button is clicked on web pages

This started about a week or so ago. Every time I click a button on any web page the browser flashes to white then back. It usually takes 3 or 4 clicks before it actually does anything. It started after I upgraded to Version 4 so I reverted back to Version 3 and worked my way back up to 4 to see if it would stop with any other version but it hasnt. Is this an issue with my browser or my pc?

Let me told you, i was traying to implement what you say in your last post but now i'm facing a new problem,
The way i used to create the new field from HTML for the comment is not correct because the data in the GRIDLAYOUT are paged, so, when i change the page all data that i introduced in the field are ereased and i must save that values before change the page in a kind of buffer or something like that.
so my new question is this, Do you know a right way to add that field to GRIDLAYOUT? and then save this values in a Z table before save al plan data into the infocube.
Sorry for all this questions but ive read a lot of articles and I can't find anything really helpful

Version 20 has java/flash problems on my machine when accessing web page Nexus Mods this doesn't happen with version 18

was using version 18 until 3 or 4 days ago when i upgraded to version 20 when i go to run Firefox and it access my homepage www.nexusmods.com and then choose any of the subpages and (most often Skyrim)
version 20 takes forever to complete loading the page in most variably it due to either java or Flash since there is video embeds in the pages however this didn't happen when using version 18 i didn't have problems with Chrome either so i have to assume that their is code issues with hooks for the plugins
i also get script errors however the error doesnt' say which scripting file is being affected
p.s. sending a error doc is practicaly useless as i've removed version 20 and gone through my registry and pulled all references to mozilla and Firefox, before reinstalling 18 and putting back in the needed plugins
