I am currently triying to set up a JLabel so that it can link me to go to another page in the GUI. Could anyone possibly help please

You can only isolate it using the slice tool in CS6. It’s not possible in Elements however you could save the entire design as a jpeg or png file and use it as a clickable link. See this earlier thread of mine for details:

Hi,
I need help making the USB install of os Tiger.
The drive is having trouble reading the install disc I own so I am trying to make a USB install of it.
I wantto install from the usb not install to it to be clear.
Things I have!
X1 8gig sandisk flash drive
1 Macbook white 1.8 ghz Intel
1 Pc with Macdrive 7
1 Install disc that seems to have trouble being read in the drive > few marks on the disc and the mac DVD drive make lots of noise reading it but
It will go to Disk utilities.
Seems to be a bug in Tiger and restore doesn’t seem to work as in I can’t drag and drop a source to the restore the DVD to the flash drive.
I already tried only 1 time to copy the DVD to the formatted flash drive using Macdrive and it read it as a bootable drive but the apple simple came up
And then I got a the error (Can’t find driver for this platform error APCH or something like that.
I have a torrent download of OS x 10.4.6 as well just in case some files are corrupted > I own the disk so it’s not illegal.
I am new to mac but long time user of PC.

Ok ..you need another Mac to make this work!
you just use another mac even a old one like g4 to make a restore to a flash drive that you have formatted and verified.

I looked on Adobe's site and they "advertise" fillable forms for the iPhone and Android markets, but on the Windows Phone tab, that is mysteriously missing. lol Maybe it will come later? The proceedure is pretty much the same in
PHP/Coldfusion/JSP/ASP.
There is a very easy to follow example in the Dreamweaver
Help File.
Just go to Help-->Developing Applications Rapidly -->
Building pages that restrict access to your site (ColdFusion, ASP,
JSP, PHP) --> Building a login page
I don't think it can get much easier. But remember that you
will need to have a database table of user details in place to
complete the process.

Help making a clock

Hey,
I was hoping to get some help making a clock update for me, but I don't want just to show the actual date, I know how to do that. What I want is to be able to set a time, and then the clock start running from then. For instance, after I enter Jan 3rd, 2005 at 3:43 as my time and date, I want the clock to start from there and update every second. Does that make sense?
Could someone help me out where to look to get this to happen? Thanks!

I think the OP wants to be able to set a time OTHER
than the current time. He doesn't want to wait
untill the time you entered to have the clock tick,
he wants to have it tick immediately from the "fake"
time that you've entered.
At least that's how I understood him. The offset is
the difference between the real time and the fake
time entered by the user.
If he just wants to display the current time, but not
stat doing that untill some point in the future then
yeah TimerTask is the simplest way to do it, but I
don' think that's what he's trying to do.thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it. Sorry if I was a bit unclear. Norweed was right in saying that I want to set the time and start updating immediately, not wait until the time reaches my entered time and then count. Sorry for the confusion.
I was thinking that a offset would work, thanks for recommending that. I'm wondering if the time will get off after a while, I need this program to run probably arounnd 2-3 hours. Hopefully it won't drift very much over that time.

Help Making a Ringtone!

I can't seem to make any ringtones for more than the first 15 seconds of a song in garageband. I know the songs I am trying to use are unprotected because they are recordings of me playing jazz and we didn't protect them, they are in mp3 format. But I can't get mp3 mp4a or AAc format to play more than the first 15 secs. I tried tuneclone, mp3 converter and everything. All i want to do is create a ringtone of a song. please help.

Then File, Print, select Style, Mailing Labels, then Layout to select a specific target label (such as an Avery number), or define your own...

FCE helps making better quality videos than imovie?

I have been using iMovie HD and it looks like its corrupted and cannot re-install it since I lost the disk image.
I am thinking of going to FCE over upgrading to iLife 09.

if your source is miniDV/Standard - yes.
if your source is 720p or iFrame - no.
in terms of speed and simplicity - iM09 is 'better'.
in terms of options and feature - FCE is by far superior.

Making jars double-clickable please help

i'm having trouble making a jar file double-clickable.... and i'm not entirely sure that i'm making the jar file correctly in the first place.
the program is called clock.java, and i can compile and run it from netbeans. the three classes, ClockView, Timestamp, and clock, are in a directory together, and clock has the main.
in order to make it double-clickable, i'm supposed to have a manifest file called Manifest.mf with a line of code:
Main-Class: clock
which i put in a text file in the same directory as clock, ClockView, and Timestamp. i name it "Manifest.mf".
from command prompt, in the same directory, i've tried typing the jar command several different ways.
jar cvf Manifest.mf clock.jar *.class
-this one makes a Manifest.mf file, but no jar. Manifest.mf is full of computer lang stuff.
jar cvf clock.jar *.class
-this makes a clock.jar, but obviously no manifest file.
these are my questions:
do i need to put in the manifest file when i make the jar? was my command line correct for this if so? is my manifest file correct if so?
if i am supposed to add it later, how do i?
is there some reason i wouldn't be able to make jar files from this directory?
when it does make the jar file, if i double-click it, i get:
Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from C:\Documents and Settings\paul\Desktop\java\clock\src\clock\clock.jar
i'm kind of new at this, and i've been trying to figure this out for a while. thanks for the help.

The same problem happened to me .. First every time a tried to run the jar file from the command prompt it echoed lots of error. not finding pertaining to manifest file.
Later i fixed it. And I tell you the easy way how to run the jar file from the command prompt.
When you build the ur project in NetBeans IDE. During running it tells how to run the jar file from the command prompt. But before running your project you need to right - click to your project and choose the properties and choose run and define you main class(you also click browse to automatically find the main class ).
And after that u can build. During building your project in the ouput window running you project on the command prompt is told so you can copy it and paste it in a file with .bat extension and double click to run it/

(Please Help) making buttons clickable (layout done in photoshop)

I am a newbie to all of this. I been trying to learn html/css
and I am still learning it but I needed a quick way to get my
website up and running. So, I created my layout in photoshop, I
sliced it and imported it anything dreamweaver. I made the content
area editable. Now I have 10 buttons that needs to be clickable. I
was on my index.html page and use the hotspot tools to try and make
them clickable. Indeed it did on my index page. Was I suppose to
use the hotspot tools or was I suppose to select the image, replace
it and then link it (when I tried that way at first, it messed the
page and had boxes and lines everywhere, like the page was broken
up, I really dont know what I did wrong there)
My problem is that how do I make all 10 pages of my website
buttons clickable without having to go to each page, like the about
page, services page, contact page, etc.... and using the hotspot on
all 10 pages?
Do I have to make it as a template or something?

So many problems, so little time. First and most importantly,
I admire your courage to "forge ahead", but you need to start with
the basics (some of the dreamweaver tutorials, template pages, etc.
and learn slowly and methodically.) A well functioning site is far
more important than a graphically pleasing site...
There are many apparent problems based on your jpg, but can't
address any without seeing the code.
Buttons: If they are separate slices, they don't need image
map "hot spots" to link them. Simply select one, and assign a link
to it via the properties window. If you saved your entire "header
graphic" as all one piece, and placed it into your page, that would
be when you would want to assign "hot spots" to each section of the
graphic, but if they are separate pieces, there is no need for the
hot spots.
Templates: Yes, a template is the best way to ensure each
page functions and has the same links as the rest. If you dont have
a template set up, you will need to assign all of your links
separately to each page of your document. To create a template, you
first need to create one good, functioning page, then save as
template. Once a template, you'll need to assign which areas you
want to be editable (usually the "content area"). The advantage of
a template is also that if you need to make a global change to all
of the pages somewhere down the road, the change will automatically
update itself on all pages. After the template is created, create a
"New page from Template".
By the looks of your jpg image, you have a whole host of
other problems with the way the page is set up - if you're using
tables to compile, you aren't using them well. The more complicated
you try to slice up a single table, the likelyhood of problems like
you're showing multiplies exponentially - keep it simple.
Experiment with "nested tables" to see if that helps, but DON"T
OVERDO... If you're using css - do some reading, or try to begin
with one of the Dreamweaver template pages to start, then slowly
modify and test as you go - it's tricky at first.
For that matter, if you don't have any "rollover" effect or
anything else going on in the top area, you may be far better off
saving it as one piece and image mapping the "hot spots" for your
links, and it won't break apart the way you're showing.
Keep trying, but take it slow - take a course or purchase a
tutorial dvd - it is well worth the investment and will save you
countless hours of frustration and "stabbing in the dark"...
Hope that helps - don't be in such a hurry to get your site
"live" - take your time and it will get easier...

numbers. Display how many he has remembered as a score. The level of game depends

my question is how to view the numbers for the game and make them disappear after certain time
