When I run forms on the web ,
the following errors occurred occasionally,
and I don't know when and where this errors will occurr.

Getting error while trying to open the web forms in classic planning app

hello,
I am new to OTN forum. can someone please help me to resolve my issue in classic planning application.
i have created two web forms in classic planning . but while i am trying to open the web forms ,its showing the error like
the" data form Report1(Report name) is invalid. Check log for details.
i have checked the log file also but was not able to understand the errors.
Before this i have tried lots of things to make this issue fixed like updated JVM size then in task manager i have checked the memory usages for process .
but these were not helpful to solve.
Kindly anyone suggest me the solution.......

It is probably worth refreshing the metadata to see if that fixes the problem; error message might indicate that the form has members on that have not yet been passed to Essbase.
You dont give the version you are using, but for v11.1.2.1 you do this through Workspace, menu options Administration/Application/Refresh Database - tick Database and Refresh. Its advised that you back up your Outline and data before refreshing.

I have used Developer Server 6 on NT4, Netscape 4.61 with
JInitiator 1.1.18 and IE5.
I have extracted classes.zip into orant\forms60\java.
My forms work fine when I use Netscape 4.61 with JInitiator, but
When I launch a form with IE5, this errors occurs:

#error in Planning Web Form

Hello,
I am getting #error in some of the web forms. It is happening just for the non-admin users. For Admins there is no issue at all. I am on 11.1.2.0.0 version. Did anyone encountered this type of issue. Please let me know how you reolved this. I tried everything like deleting the form and recreating it, refreshing security filters. The strange thing is this is happening for one line in a web form, like formula rows.

It is a simple Sum( Row[1], row[2]) formula. I have validated the formula in the webform. I even created a new form thinking that the old form might have been corrupted. Even for the new form it is also coming as #error exactly on the same row as of the old form. This is happening to Planner users. I also tried restarting Planning services, ran UpdateUsers.cmd thinking it might help, but it didn't do anything. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this. I have also checked the access for the users and he is having the correct access.

Published Flash module and 404 errors in the web server log

I’ve created a Presenter module, published it to my computer, and uploaded all the files to a web server. And it plays fine via the web.
The odd thing is a bunch of 404 errors in the web log:

In the data directory there is a file named spk10821.jpg that was generated by Presenter. The image is actually the presenter bio photo that would normally show up in the sidebar -- but no photo is there. The browser never requests the valid spk10821.jpg file, only the non-existent spk10821.1.jpg path.
Anybody know why this would be happening? I see in data/viewer.xml there is a tag for <image>spk10821.1.jpg</image> but I don’t know why Presenter would mention that file in the XML but generate a differently-named one in the publish folder.
I’m wondering if I should have the web server rewrite requests with the ".1.jpg" ending to get rid of the ".1" part so they will work.
By the way, this is with PowerPoint 2003 SP3 and Presenter 7.0.1.

I am assuming that you are using Visual Studio 2010 to target the .Net framework 4.0
Crystal Reports 2008 is not compatible with VS 2010. Use [Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010|Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Production Release Now AvailableCystlR%2528SAPWeblogs%253ACrystal+Reports%2529] to target .Net framework 4.0.
Deploy the application using the methods specified in the 'Deployment' section of the [CR for VS 2010 .Net SDK developer guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/sapCRVS2010/en/crnet_dg_2010_en.zip].
See if you can reproduce the issue after redeploying the application as mentioned above.
Few questions-
- Is it the dev machine or production machine causing the issue?
- OS version?
- What does the application do? i.e. view, export, print report?
- Issue is with some reports or all the reports.
See if there is an image on the report, remove the image and add it as a picture object ' Insert --> Picture' from the CR designer.

Error Generating the Task Form

While publishing a new SharePoint Designer 2010 List Workflow I get an Error:
SharePoint Designer encountered an error generating the task form. Server was unable to process request.--->Activation could not be completed because the InfoPath Forms Services support feature is not present.
I was able to publish SPD Workflows until a couple of days ago. Existing ones can be republished but not new ones.

Try running the following cmdlets.
Disable-SPFeature "IPFSSiteFeatures" - URL "Path"
Enable-SPFeature "IPFSSiteFeatures" -URL "Path"
These cmds will restart the Infopath Forms Services support features, which is responsible for supporting publishing Infopath Forms.

Is there a way to customize the web form link in Adobe FormsCentral?

The dedicated link has a quite complicated address, not easily added to brochures to hand out. Is there a way to customize the web form link in Adobe FormsCentral?

It cannot be customized. The workaround is to create your own web page and embed our form into it. That way they only see your URL.

Reloading the Web Form....

I am able to run Oracle Forms 5.0(Dev 2.1) on the web with
JInitiator. But I have observed one thing.
- When I'm done with the form, I click on the menu,
'Action' and then 'Exit'. This brings me back to
the browser. When I tried clicking 'REFRESH' on
the browser, the Form never comes out again. I
still have to close down the browser and open it up
again and call my web form.
Is this a normat behavior? Is there another way I can reload
the web form without exiting the browser?

I have a webform that is submitting securely to the bc servers. I get the response:

Ok -- after testing this out a little on my own I think it must have to do with not properly serialzing the data you are passing in the ajax function. In the example I linked to earlier they are just serialzing the form data and it works because it converts the data in the form's input fields to URL encoded notation.
If you aren't using an actual form on your site to mimick the example I linked to then when building your "rData" string instead of using the "escape" function for each of the parameter values, you should be using the "encodeURIComponent" function instead which instead of escaping characters will convert it to URL encoded notation. That's probably your issue. Here's more about encodeURIComponent(): http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/jsref_encodeURIComponent.asp
Try this with the rData variable instead:

Today I do a test about web dynapro componet. I create a new compoent and active. It's the first tiem to make web dynapro.

It is an article on Fully Qualified Domain Name. ABAP systems required the URL be fully qualified and have a properly formed domain. You can change the profile parameters as suggested in this help link and add an alias to your DNS so that your server is accessible via the full domain name.

Error when launching web form

I'm trying to launch forms on the web using Dev Rel 6. When I
start the
browser and point to my html file, I get the standard "Starting
Java..."
message and then the error :
Applet exception: class oracle.forms.engine.Main could not be
loaded
I have setup my machine just as the manual suggests. Any ideas
on what the
problem could be.
My current configuration is:
Windows NT 4.0 (sp5)
OAS 4.0.7
Dev Rel 6
Netscape 4.5
Jinit 1.1.7.11

Hiya,
I'm working on deploying DEV2K forms/reports over the
web...starting with the Forms first...but haven't been able to do
that....scenario is that these forms are built in 4.5, OAS 3.0.1,
NT 4 (sp 3) & Oracle 8.0.4 (8.4)....I've done everything by the
book i.e; the Dev2K Online Manuals (Deploying Applications on the
Web)...but even after giving the full path of the intended
form/module it wont launch.....only gives Internel Error in the
browser....
In the manual Oracle recommends to use WWWSVR as the OAS default
listener but when you isntall the OAS (3.0.1) it recommended
using www as the default.....so I tried to change the
configuration of the def. list. & it got corrupted....so I
deinstalled the whole OAS but after that I haven't been able to
resinstall it again because it aborts right after
analyzing dependencies step....but I have another instance of the
OAS 3.0.1 running on a different machine on which our groups site
is running the database version 8.0.5 (haven't been able to
install the DAD for this one...because of database version or
some other unknown reason...)
Bottom line if you could please tell me step by step how to
deploy my current apps over the web I'ld really appreciate that..
Current env. NT 4 (sp3)
Oracle 8.0.5
Dev/2000 Forms4.5/Reports3.0
OAS 3.0.1 (trying to download OAS 4 but it after
the download wont open)

Catch lost connection error in a Web Form 10g

Hello,
I have a aplication in 10g and want to catch in ON-ERROR a conection lost with OAS 10g r2.
When i disconnect the network cable in a runtime form web, i need to exit form and go to intial start form, but apears this error:
What i need is catch this error in a ON-ERROR before this error. If i catch in a ON-ERROR, i kill the form and resolve my problem.
What can i do to resolve this ?

How to solve Error SPSite - The Web application at address could not be found

I am trying to find out the internal name of a custom SharePoint list columns, for this I have used following code snippet in my
console application but getting below error. The site I am accessing is a public SharePoint web site. This code is working
well with my local host site and i am able to get the internal names of any list columns but don't understand why this is failing with
public SharePoint site
For avoiding this issue I have done following steps:
1.Rebuild the application
2.changed the platform target as "Any CPU"
3.Visual studio and this public site is working in my admin account, but still I am getting the error!
