Help on finding a reference to a table

Hi ,
my oracle verion : oracle 10G
if i fire a query something like :
select * from user_source where text like '%CLASSIFICATION%'
it will return me rows and help me narrow my search onto a mere 100 rows to find a reference for a table called 'WC_CLASSIFICATION_D' and tells me lets say which all packages are having a reference for this table. But the thing is its letting me know for a particular user , Now lets say if i have around 20 users in my database , with every single user writing a few packages that contains reference to the same table , How do i find that out.
PS : I hope I am clear with my question , what i am having a feeling is that there would be a table tht could contain the user code for the entire database ..please help

Better yet, DBA_SOURCE (if you have access).
USER_SOURCE contains source for all PL/SQL objects owned by the current user.
ALL_SOURCE contains source for all PL/SQL objects for which the current user has at least some privileges. (Well, there is a privilege requriement for it to be seen here; it may be more subtle than my statement of 'at least some privileges'.)
DBA_SOURCE contains source for all PL/SQL objects in the database.
This naming/privilege convention is used for many of the SYS catalog views (USER_TABLES, USER_OBJECTS, etc.)
Every user has access to the USER_ views and the ALL_ views, but different users may see different content. The DBA_ views are generally not public; you need a privilege such as SELECT ANY DICTIONARY to see them.
By the way, USER_SOURCE does not have the source for views or materialized views. Use USER_VIEWS and USER_MVIEWS if you need those.

Try this.
Set the f4 help for the field in the fieldcatalog
ls_fcat-f4availabl = 'X'.
1. Create a event of ONF4 for the alv grid.
2. Set the event handler.
3. Append the field for the F4 help in the internal table and call the below method
    CALL METHOD g_mprn->register_f4_for_fields
    EXPORTING
      it_f4 = i_f4.
4. create a class definition and implementation
    refer sample pgms (BCALV_F4, BCALV_GRID_EDIT_DELTA and BCALV_GRID_EDIT)

Need help for finding oracle payables tables

I need help for finding tables relating fields INVOICE_ID, NOTIFICATION_ID and APPROVAL_STATUS or WFAPPROVAL_STATUS. I have searched a lot but has been unable to find any table containing all the above mentioned fields. I found the table WF_NOTIFICATIONS for INVOICE_ID, however have been unable to find the latest tables with INVOICE_ID and APPROVAL_STATUS as fields.
All the tables having this combination are either very old tables which are not used anymore or doesnt give the required data. Please let me know where am i going wrong. Once i get the required tables, i need to join the tables to get the required data with the imp fields. Also, the values of WFAPPROVAL_STATUS are not very clear to me. I need values for it as APPROVED, REJECTED AND INITIATED.

You will have to manually make the table adjustments in all the systems using SE14 trans since the changes done using SE14 cannot be collected in any TR.
How to adjust tables :
Enter the table name in SE14. For ex for any Z master data(Say ZABCD), master data table name would be /BIC/PZABCD, text table would be /BIC/TZABCD. Similarly any DSO(say ZXYZ) table name would be /BIC/AZXYZ00 etc.
Just enter the table name in SE14 trans --> Edit --> Select the radio button "Save Data" --> Click on Activate & adjust database table.
NOTE : Be very careful in using SE14 trans since there is possibility that the backend table could be deleted.
How to collect the changes in TR:
You can collect only the changes made to the IO --> When you activate, it will ask you for the TR --> Enter the correct package name & create a new TR. If it doesn't prompt you for TR, just goto Extras --> Write transport request from the IO properties Menu screen. Once these IO changes are moved successfully, then the above proceduce can be followed using SE14 trans.

I've tried to check using SE36, i still don't get what i want.
Actualy what i want to do is, determine the business partner for a certain GUID(or OBJECT ID).
I've searched in this forum, some said that i had to connect it through CRMD_ORDER_INDEX.
It didn't work. Although CRMD_ORDERADM_H and CRMD_ORDER_INDEX both had GUID field, i can't find same data at those field.
Some also said that i had to use FM 'COM_PARTNER_CONVERT_GUID_TO_NO'.
Aparently i can only found that this FM just for converting PARTNER to PARTNER_GUID (or PARTNER_GUID to PARTNER) that both are on the same table, that is BUT000.
I've tried to match BUT000-PARTNER_GUID with CRMD_ORDERADM_H-GUID or BUT000-PARTNER_GUID with CRMD_ORDER_INDEX-GUID, the result is the same, there aren't match data.
Did i miss some step here?
My next question is, i want to find which field and table that stores message status (New, In Process, Customer Action, Sent to SAP, Solution Proposed, and Confirmed) and how to connect those table to CRMD_ORDERADM_H.

That is why I labeled it with Finder Object reference won’t return POSIX path, because I tried what was suggested about using the POSIX path of line. I thought seeing the lines above and around it would help set the context.
So I need those files, but I need them sorted by creation date so that they’re in that order for the next renaming step.

Moving data between tables (how to find out if the 2nd table is empty)

I have 2 tables, and I'm copying records from one table to another.

So far, everything works ok.
Here is my question: how do I get the number of records passed?
I mean, how do I know the number of rows in the 2nd table? (Remember that this number is variable, because it depends on how many rows I've inserted and deleted on the 2nd table).
I've tried to achieve that using a data store with a numeric field, but I couldn't find the way to increment/decrement the numeric field on data store, and insert/delete the row on table at the same time .
All I want is to find out if the 2nd table is empty or not.
Any ideas to solve this?

However the user can add twice or more times the same row... so the counter doesn't reflect the real number of rows in the 2nd table.
I've partially solved this also using a data store with a parameter called key_list, where I add (I mean, concatenate) the key field for the selected row.
So, if I have a table with 4 rows with key fields "key1", "key2", "key3", the parameter key_list would get "key1;key2;key3".
So far, it's ok. But when I remove a row previosly added.... I can't remove the key from the key_list parameter. (I mean, from 2nd table I choose to remove the "key2" row, but I don't know how also remove the key name from the key_list)
I hope be clearly enough.
Any help will be really appreciated and point-rewarded.

PS: is there any way of "mark" a row that has been added to the 2nd table? I mean, using (for example) a hidden boolean field named "added", that becomes true when the selected row is added to the 2nd table.

...What is the table name? How do you want to parse that?
Better rewrite all dynamic SQL statements into non dynamic ones. Or do the source control logic for those dynamic parts in an extra module. For example implement your own dependency table and force every developer to add there all dynamic parts.

I need help in finding the number of occurrences of a pattern in a table's column's data.
Consider sample data - one row's column from a table:
"S-S-S-A-S-S-P-S-S-B-S-A-P-S-S-C"
My requirement is:
I should get the count of S's which are immediately preceded by A or P.
for the above data i should get count as 3+2+1=6 (S-S-S-A, S-S-P, S-A)
The pattern data is stored as VARCHAR2 type.

to be done in BI side.

GetPivotData with cell reference in a Table

I was told that this might be a better place to post this question than Microsoft Answers for Office.
I have a Table in which I need to use a GetPivotData function. I need to use a cell reference in that GetPivotData function. I have done this before with no problem in a normal cell range, but it seems like the syntax when using a Table screws
things up. Can anyone help me out here?
The GetPivotTable function would normally look like this if not in a Table.

That formula sits in a column called "Block" in my Table. The 18418 sits in a column called "ID" in my table. So what I have tried is:
=GETPIVOTDATA("[Measures].[Total Blocked Dollars]",'--Report Blocks--'!$A$4,"[Dim Prod Ctrl No].[By Prod Ctrl No]",concatenate("[Dim Prod Ctrl No].[By Prod Ctrl No].&[",[@[ID]],"]"))
I have tried a few combinations like this but I can't seem to use a cell reference from a table (which requires the [@[field]] syntax) to work with the GetPivotData.
Any ideas?

That's not the issue. The GETPIVOTDATA function is actually IN a table. The arguments for the GETPIVOTDATA function need to reference a cell/column in the table, and it's only PART of the argument that needs to be replaced. In the example
below the 18418 needs to be replaced with the data in the same row of the table in a column named ID.
=GETPIVOTDATA("[Measures].[Total Blocked Dollars]",'Sheet2'!$A$4,"[Dim Prod Ctrl No].[By Prod Ctrl No]","[Dim Prod Ctrl No].[By Prod Ctrl No].&[18418]")
