Help popup not in a browser

When I build a WebHelp project, I then link my app to the
main .htm file. This of course opens in a browser. I notice when in
RoboHelp, if I open their help, it's still opening a .htm frameset
but it's not launching in a browser. How can I accomplish this?
The issue with the browser is that if it's opening a local
.htm (C:\Help\MyHelp.htm), it brings up that infamous yellow bar
asking if you want to allow blocked content and I don't want the
users to get that.

Let's back up a tad. There are many ways to generate your
WebHelp.
* You may click the "Quick Generate" toolbar icon
* You may use the super secret "now that I''ve told you I
have to kill you" keyboard combination of Ctrl+M
* You may click File > Generate Primary Layout
* You may expand the Single Source Layouts pseudo folder and
double-click the layout.
If you use the last option, you should see some intermediate
screens that allow you to choose many different options prior to
creating your help. The first screen should have a check box
labeled "Add Mark of the Web". This is where you should find the
option.

Bug - Flash CS6 Help does not load

Fresh install of WIndows 7 (32-bit). Fresh install of Flash CS6 trial. Click Help > Flash Help and nothing happens. Help does not load. Browser never opens. Nothing happens. Same with Help > Flash Support Center. Also installed Photoshop CS6 trial and that Help system does load (opens browser to online help page). Flash CS6 Help is completely dead. Anyone else experiencing this? Or better yet - how to fix it?

What locale are you trying to install Flash Pro CS6 (and hence, the Help update) on?
Also, could you please send us your error log?
Depending on your platform, it is found at the following locations:

Popup not firing on closing browser or refreshing

Yes I made a POJO in model layer and created a datacontrol from that. After that I dragged to the jsff as a table with 2 columns.
The 2 columns are inputText.
The below scenario happened
Created a sample taskflow and a jsff page fragment
Created model based on POJO.
The POJO datacontrol dragged onto a jsff page as a table with 2 fields.(The fields made inputtext).
First field I kept autoSubmit=”true” and added a valuechangeListener
Second field kept as it is.
Tested as below:
I tried entering a value in the first textbox. And closed the browser it got closed(No warning message)
Second textbox after I entered value and closed browser(warning message shown)
Difference: valuechangeListener implemented in first.

F4 help popup to browse file path in web dynpro

I need F4 help popup to browse file path in Web dynpro (for example C:\dir\file.xls). Popup should come like FM "F4_FILENAME" in report programming.
Am i need to create another window or is there any other standard functionality there for this help.

File upload UI element has showing File browse pop up. But i want to download file from an internal table to Excel. User need to give file path so that the directory selection needs to be done. And also the user will select the directory and type the file name (File so far not exist) for download.
If i add UI element 'File Download' I am getting a link and i cant browse directory and give file.
Give your suggesions.

Pop up window asking if I want the password remembered won't pop up why I'm not in private browsing and the site is not on the exception list please help

I can not get the firefox window to ask me if I want my password remembered. I am not in private browsing. The site is not on the exception list in the security box where all the other passwords sites are stored.

Help please - Cursor not working whilst browsing internet

Not long had my Curve 8520 and afraid I'm a bit of a techno dinosaur so please bear with me ! Wonder if someone can help with this.
Whilst browsing the internet my "cursor" has suddenly stopped working. My "cursor" - the little black arrow - is still there but when hover over a search box for example and "click" my trackball nothing happens, similarly if the little hand symbol appears on a link if I "click" the trackball nothing happens. I've discovered I can press return when the hand appears and it goes to the link, but this is no use when only the arrow appears.

Its the sort of thing that could possibly be fixed by a battery pull.
With the BB powered on, remove the battery and keep it out for a couple of minutes. Let us know how you get on.

Uncomitted warning popup not firing

Hi ADF Experts,
JDev Version 11.1.1.7.0
I have a jspx page in which the af:document tag has uncommitedDataWarning="on".
Inside my jspx page I have a region. Whenever I dont save any changes in the region and try to refresh the browser or close icon, the popup is not appearing.
Also I kept the region(inside jspx) bounded taskflow with critical selected. But still I dont see the popup on closing the browser or refreshing.

Roy, have you tried to reduce the complexity of your user case?
Try your use case with a simple page without a region in it first and see if you get the eating them. If yes add a region to your page and verify you get the result you expect. Only then add the portal stuff.
This will help to narrow down the error.

PSE 10 and Adobe CS6: When running silent install help is not working afterwards

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum. If not: Please help me find the correct one.
I have a big issue with Adobe CS6 (and former versions like Photoshop Elements 10): When installing it from DVD running GUI everything is working fine afterwards. If I install e.g. Photoshop Elements 10 using "Silent Installation" help is not working afterwards. It states that it cannot locate the URL. I have not installed AIR and also do not plan to install it.
I have 'played' a little around with Common Files\Adobe\helpcfg and help directory. Now at least I do not get an error message but still it's not the online help which opens in the browser but the web page that is defined as 'home'.
The same I see now in Adobe CS6. I have e.g. packaged After Effects and Illustrator and when deploying it I'm not able to open help as well and I fear that this is the same issue.
Has anyone deeper knowledge about how "helpcfg" is working? Any example files? Any other help appreciated as well.

@hannilator Have you checked the exceptions folder contents for instructions on how to push to logged off computers? Here's what I get when I package CS6 (DesignWebPrem) and excude AIR/CHC:
After you have deployed the package, separately install the products in the exception folder.
IMPORTANT: Before you install the products in the exception folder, refer to the following Adobe Knowledgebase article for information on installing these products and configuring the settings correctly:

Button not working in browser

I am coding a video player in Netbeans 6.8. just find two problems:
1. the browser button not working in browser when I run the project from Netbeans under "run in browser" mode. however under "standard execution" mode, everything is fine.
2. can not run the jar file in the project's dist directory directly. in other word, I can not run the jar file outside of Netbeans.

thanks for your reply but I need more specific operation.
maybe I am not very clear about the problem one. I mean when I run the code in standard mode, if I click the browse button, a window will pop out and I can choose a video file from my local harddisk. but if I run it in "web start execution" mode and "run in browser" mode. the browse button make no response when I click it.

Hi,
This might be due to the JRE version of the browser. We faced such issue and the update of JRE version in the browser helps to get the pop-up of F4 help. Check in the internet broswser Tools -> Internet Option -> Advanced. Check whether the JRE applet is checked or not. it has to be checked. if it is checked and even if you dont get the F4 help, upgrade the JRE version.

PDF File not opening in browser for sharepoint 2010

Recently we have moved our web application from one server to another in Sharepoint 2010. Back up of entire web application was taken and restored in another server. But in the new server , the PDF files in the document library is not getting opened in browser.
it always open in browser
I have already made following changes but didn,t work
Set browser file handling to Permissive from central admin
Set "open in browser" in setting s of doc library
Set the doc library file handling property using $docLib = $web.lists["Your Document Library Title"] $docLib.BrowserFileHandling = "Permissive" $docLib.Update()
Added "AllowedInlineDownloadedMimeType.Add("Application/Pdf") in web app
Installed Adober eader in client machine
Even after trying all these, the PDF files are still opening in Client application(Adobe reader) but not in the browser
It would have been great help if anybody provide a solution for this. I have been banging head on this for two days

Applet with Image not working in Browser, works fine in Appletviewer

Hi,
I encountered a problem , running my Applet in a browser. (IE and Firefox, ame problem).
When I use an ImageIcon, it doesnot work. in a browser.(When I remove the icon, it's oke)
In Appletviewer it works fine. In the browser I first got a security-exception.
I dealed with that by signing the jar (with the test certificate).
Now the browser's java console is not showin any faults, but the applet is showing no picture at all.
Only the text of the label is shown.
Can someone help me?
I downgraded the class to a very simple form, shown underneath. This runs fine in Appletviewer, but not in a Browser.

I have recently had the same problem, after lots of searching, I found that only Java 1.1 is supported by browsers, leaving out everything else including swing. So if you cant play the applet through your browser you need to download the appropriate patch i think about 5mbs.
You should find one at java.sun.com/getjava/download.html
