Help using InputMethod in Java

I would like to get the input from the user into a JTextField using a InputMethod.
There are 2 JTextFields in the gui. One takes input in the native language say "Hindi" from India. and the other just takes input in english. The english one is fine. But I want to somehow set the property of the JTextField so that the input is unicode and as specified by the input method.
Is there any way to do it, rather than the having the client to change it manually.

I am working on a program that will print out my initials 'A' and 'T' using arrays. I am asked to initialize the first intial to '*' and the second intial to '@'. I am trying to write a program using a matrix. The size of the maxtrix should be 30X30. The first initial shoulld be initialized to '*' and the secind initial should be initialized to '@'. Both initials should be 30 characters high and 30 characters wide and the initials should also represent the uppercase letter of your initials. I know that the first initial's matrix needs to be filled up vertically and the second initial needs to be filled horizontally but the output is wrong....PLease Help!

You should be looking into com.sap.security.api.IUserFactory, methods newUser(String) which gives you and IUserMaint and commitUser(IUserMaint, IUserAccount) -- IUserAccount can be obtained using com.sap.security.api.IUserAccountFactory, method newUserAccount(String)

We are using Communication manager 7.0.1 and UCCX version 7.0.1(Cisco Unified CCX Premium). We are trying to call a Custom Java class file from UCCX scripting. We have followed the steps mentioned in the guide (How-To: Using a custom Java class in UCCX 5.x (SOAP Example)). See below link.

I have created a jar file by using
jar cvmf Manifest.txt myjar.jar 1.class Mydirectory
In 1.java file :I have used
JEditorPane editor;
editor.setPage(getClass().getResource("/Mydirectory/default.htm"));
If I am only giving myjar.jar file to the client without Mydirectory then also it is working fine by showing default.htm in JeditorPane.
But my problem is I want to use
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd /c start IEXPLORE"+targetstr) ;
targetstr will be the filename with path of the default.htm
If I am giving myjar.jar file with Mydirectory to the client it is working but I don't want to give Mydirectory to the client .
What should I do?
Is there any solution for this?
Using another jar file which will include mydirectory can solve this problem?
Is there any othe concept in java so that I wll be able to hide Mydirectory from client?

It seems like you could extract the .htm file from the jar, either with Runtime.exec or using the Jar API classes.

Problem in using 'ReceivedDateTerm' in Java Mail

I have problem in using 'ReceivedDateTerm' in Java Mail. I am able to search on all other criterias but when I try any kind of date search I don't get any message back. For example I send an email and then I try to search that email using the following code I don't get any message back:
ReceivedDateTerm dateTerm = new ReceivedDateTerm(ComparisonTerm.EQ, new Date());
SearchTerm term = dateTerm;

The documentation for those classes is absolutely horrible. For example it doesn't say whether the time component of the Date is used, or ignored. It's possible you are asking to find all messages that were received at the exact millisecond you ran that code.

How to use the Public Java API

Is it possible to use the Public Java API to write a custom transformation in Java and use this in OWB. i.e. Say I have a Dateofbirth field in my source database and an Agegroup field in the target database, and I write a transformation in Java to take the Dateofbirth as an input parameter to the method and calculate the Agegroup e.g. 25-30, and return it from this method which then populates the Agegroup field in the target database. If so, how do I go about this?

In general, yes you could... but you do not need to. You could use the UI to implement this requirement. The public Java API is there for you to manipulate metadata. How you implement your system, is independent of that.
The way you would go about the case you just mentioned... you would write the Java code, deploy it into the database, wrap it in a PL/SQL procedure or function, and call it from OWB.
Would this be a good idea...? I think no. Unless you have very complicated calculations that can only be performed in Java, I strongly encourage you use the PL/SQL language. Reason being: transformation will be much faster, because there is no need to translate PL/SQL into Java and back again.

You can have the MDM JAVA API javadocs from the link

There you can see a package named com.sap.mdm.examples.The classes in it contains some examples using which you can start understanding the code.
You need to have MDM JAR files for it. And these JAR files to be used at build time can be added to the project thru :-
Right click on project-> properties->Java Build Path - > Add external JARs
At run time you can add them the reference in
Right click on project-> properties->web dynpro references->library reference.

i am using jdk 1.6.22 and IBM WebSphere
when i use poi-3.6-20091214.jar and poi-ooxml-3.6-20091214.jar to read .xlsx file. but i am getting following errors
The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class

I had approximate the same problem, and I've fixed it. In my jar file the javaHelpSearch Folder was named with a leading lower case "j". But in my helpset.hs it was with an upper Case "J"

Here I am expecting some clarifications from you. Before that let you my environement.
My working environment :
Eclipse tool and added jmf jar to my project I did not do any thing more.
If any thing I need to do just let me know. My target platform is MAC & UBUNTU.
Please bare with my questions.
1) I am not able to recognize any video/audio devices using jmf and java sound APIs on My system.
( I checked with the app mentioned in the http://www.java-forums.org/new-java/11201-jmf-cannot-connect-device.html )
Do we need any administrives rights for our working PC.
What is the procedure/ setup I need to follow from a java application to enable particular audio/video device since I dont about end-user system setup right.
If possible send some sample code to recognize /r detect audio device ( voice input ). It should run on both MAC and UBUNTU.
2) I run the one sample audio recording application of this link (http://www.jsresources.org/examples/SimpleAudioRecorder.java.html) which is provided by YOU.
I got output audio file and able to hear voice on UBUNTU system but not able to hear voice on MAC system.
