Help with imessages

my son is getting aill our other devices messages on his ipod touch - i don't want him to get that. it's as if he is tied to all our devices by mistake. any suggestions?

i did that and then had to go to those other devices and set them up with imessage again. then all choices are back on my sons again. its as if he has an open window to choose all of ours if ours are activated.

Need some help with iMessage

Last night I sent someone a message through iMessage. I did not have her phone number but I sent it to the email address she uses on her iPad. It went out and shows in green (so it seems it went as sms?????). I did get one message back to the same device. She also sent two other messages but they only arrived on my old iPhone that no longer has 3G. The ones that arrived on my old iPhone did not duplicate themselves on the new iPhone (iMessages are supposed to go to all your iOS devices).
I'm also an old MobileMe customer so I get email to both .mac and .me
Anyone have a clue as to the best setup for iMessage and why only one device got the messages?

I got IMessage to work but I think something is up with my phone. I can't receive any messages from anyone, on or off of Wi-Fi. I don't think it is IMessage that is doing this but I'm trying my best to get this fixed. Thank you for your help with getting IMessage to work.
I am sure its my carrier or my IPhone so i will be going to my nearest Sprint store as soon as i can.

URGENT! Currently abroad, need help with iMessage on 4S in Airplane Mode.

As stated in the description, I need help turning on my iMessage on my iPhone 4S that's in Airplane Mode. Before I left California for vacation abroad, I accidently turned it off, now having problems turning it back on. It reads, "Waiting for activation..." under the iMessage switch. I tried turning my phone off then back on, but the message was still there. Any tips on what I should do? Since I'm in another country, I don't want to take it off Airplane Mode till I'm back home in California.

I've never had to deal with that, and have turned iMssage off on the iPhone a number of times.
But you'll always had the ability to send an SMS, correct? Big difference.
I seen this before with users who turn off iMessage, as the OP did, put their phone in Airplane Mode, go to a foreign country, & then can't re-activate it.

Need help with imessage and someone else getting my texts.

Yesterday i bought a phone, NOT A IPHONE, a samsung. And i got a brand new number. The number i got belonged to someone else before they changed theyre phone, the Person has an iphone but changed their number. They CHANGED their number, but for some reason they are receiving MY TEXTS (only from my friends with iphones/imessage
) i was able to get a hold of him and i told him to just turn off his imessage. I read online about that youre supposed to turn off imessage and reset network settings etc. but i did not know at the time i am worried he will sign back into his apple id and get my messages again, or because he turned off imessage and put it back on while my NOW number be erased from his phone? thanks.

You still want to send SMS to an email account -- I stand by what I said before; I know of no method that an SMS can be sent to an email. Now, if you are meaning some other kind of "text" or "messages" (there are many many kinds of those), then you will need to clarify exactly what you mean. What I gather from what you've said so far continues to mean "SMS sending to Email".
You do not have BlackBerry Internet Service on your BB plan from your carrier. As such, you will be limited as per this guideline:

You may think that BIS is ridiculous, but that is a core function and feature of BB's. Period. Without it, all you have is a phone (IMHO).

Storage help with imessages

Hi. I have been using imessage for a while with my friends and I have noticed my storage has been filling up. I look at the space and it says it has 3.29 gigs of "Other" can someone help me clear out the "Other"?

An "other" that large usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.
First try:
"First you go settings/general/usage/music/then left swipe over music and press delete and you would think it deletes your music but it doesn't instead it deletes your other but make sure your ipod is connected to a computer while doing this"

I sent an iMessage to my friend's email address but she did not set that particular email address for receiving iMessage. So where can she retrieve the iMessage I sent out? or she will not receive it at all? How can my friend delete the iMessage from me as she suspect she might set that email address in her other device which she already given it to her mum.

I send an iMessage using my MacBook Pro, I receive a reply on my iPad 2 but nothing appears on my iPhone 4S.
Why is this?

in the iPad you are using as acount one ore more e-mail acounts, for example: [email protected] !
in the iPhone 4 or 4S you can use a TELEPHONE acount! for example:   +1 987654321
and !!! you can use one ore more e-mail acounts, for example:   [email protected]
in the mac you are using as acount one ore more e-mail accounts, for example:   [email protected]
So, very important is, that on ALL devices is the same MAIN acount activated!!!
For example:   ipad: [email protected] / mac: [email protected] / iphone 4(s) [email protected]
Your e-mails must be registerd in the appl store, your main acount for example.
iCloud must be con mail activated!!!!
After this doing, sending a imessage from each device apears instantly in the other devices!!
Anathor very IMPORTANT detaill: in the apple store, in your acount you must enter the correct tel. nummber.
Don´t forgett the country code... +1...+41...or so.
Then you can use the tel. acount on your iphone 4(s) also by this way!!

Well I recently updated to the ios5 for my iPod Touch 4G yesterday. I wanted to try out the iMessage but it keeps telling me "Could not sign in. Please check your network and try again." I'm in a wireless hotspot and have wi-fi connection. So why does it keep telling me this for iMessage.?

how do you change the phone number in the iMessage and FaceTime settings on an ipad? It will not let me access the phone number from the settings.

Settings > iMessage - Off.
Settings > iTunes & App store. Tap the AppleID & sign out.
Plug it into your computer, select it in iTunes then Restore.
Or Settings > General > Reset - Erase all content & settings then setup as new.

TS2755 Help with iMessage

Ever since I updated my phone to iOS 7.0.2 every other day iMessage stops sending messages to people, I can send the same message via normal text just not iMessage. I restart my phone and iMessage works again then two days later it does it again.
