Help with TextArea

Hi, I've tried creating a TextArea that will take user input and store it in a String.
This is what I've tried:
opinion = "Please type any suggestions or comments that may you have: \n";
JTextArea textArea = new JTextArea (opinion,8,40);
getContentPane().add(textArea);
textArea.setLineWrap(true);
comment = textArea.paramString();
it cannot resolve getContentPane(), paramString() is protected.

first... getContentPane() only works in JFrame and JApplet, basically it's only used in swing components.
second... what are you trying to do here?
comment = textArea.paramString();
Is comment the string you are trying to save the users comments into? If so, try:
comment = textArea.getText();

how do I set the font in a JFileChooser???
I have tried everything, but it always uses the Look & Feels default font setting. Can I change the default Look&Feels font setting?

Well, that didn't seem to help with my case either. So I tried something else: I overrided all of the defaults by using UIManager.put(key, value) this way I got all of the Fonts in the JFileChooser to change.
Correct me if I'm wrong... ;)

Help ! TextArea doesn't work w/ html property

IDE version : Flash 8 / CS2
Hi,
I have big troubles with TextArea component using html and
embedFonts properties with integrated font.
In brief words:
- When embedFonts and html properties are true and using
integrated font, my textarea is empty. No error in action script.
- When embedFonts is true and html propertiy is false and
using integrated font, I see my text with the integrated font but
all html tags appear as text elements.
- When embedFonts property is false and no reference to
integrated font, just html property with true, text appears with
html aspect. But with default font.
I’m trying to understand and fix the problem, but with
no success. I did not find any information about this strange
behaviour.

Help with html / php contact form

Help with dropdown menu in JCombo box,Pleaseeeeeee

Hi,
I posted earlier but I`II try again. Someone must know how to do this. I have a JComboBox and I want the drop down menu to be a bit wider then the comboBox.
I tried using this method

but I recieved a couldn`t resolve symbol error for the last line.

Hi , What I want to do is have the dropmenu a bit wider then the comboBox. Need help with PHP contact form

Hi guys,
I've made a PHP contact form for my site and need help with a couple of things:
The form action links an external PHP script (scripts/contact-form-script.php) but is there a way I can have it so the PHP script for the form is contained within the same PHP file as my contact form (contact.php)?
I tried just putting the form code at the top of contact.php but the browser automatically reads the anti-spam re-direct, so maybe that needs revising too?
The second thing is, how can I make the Name, Email and Message fields mandatory? So if a user tries to submit the form and hasn't filled in one of the required fields and clicks submit, contact.php reloads with a message at the top of the form saying something like 'Complete the required fields' and highlights the relevant field with a red border?

Help with Times Table GUI applet

Hello,
I need help with an applet which inputs an integer from the user and displays the appropiate times table up to times 10 eg; user input 5 - display shows
5 time 1 is 5
5 times 2 is 10
5 times 10 is 50.
I have only managedt o get the display to show one statement eg 5 times 1 - I have tried using a for loop to show the whole table - but unlike a print statement each time the loop goes round it overwrites the data in the display box with the new data - any help would be much appreciated.
Note: it is for a programming course year 1 exercise - so I can only use basic constructs or loops to achieve this. Thanks in advance! Heres what I have so far:

Help with if statement in cursor and for loop to get output

I have the following cursor and and want to use if else statement to get the output. The cursor is working fine. What i need help with is how to use and if else statement to only get the folderrsn that have not been updated in the last 30 days. If you look at the talbe below my select statement is showing folderrs 291631 was updated only 4 days ago and folderrsn 322160 was also updated 4 days ago.
I do not want these two to appear in my result set. So i need to use if else so that my result only shows all folderrsn that havenot been updated in the last 30 days.
Here is my cursor:

How do I incorporate a if else statement in the above cursor so the two days less than 30 days since last update are not returned. I do not want to send email if the project have been updated within the last 30 days.

I have been syncing calendar and contacts on my iPhone 5 and Outlook 2007 using iCloud 2.1.3 (my PC is running Vista). All was well until the events I entered on the phone were showing up in Outlook, but not the other way around. I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel. I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version).
The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.” After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.
Sound familiar? Any ideas on how to solve this iCloud/Outlook issue? Thanks much in advance!

Help with HP Laser Printer 1200se

Really need your assistance. I have tried both contacting HP by phone (told they no longer support our printer via phone help), the tech told me that I needed to contact HP by e-mail for assistance. I then sent an e-mail for assistance and got that reply today, the reply is as follows "Randall, unfortunately, HP does not offer support via e-mail for your product. However many resources are available on the HP web site that may provide the answer to your inquiry. Support is also available via telephone. A list of technical support numbers can be round at the following URL........." The phone numbers listed are the ones I called and the ones that told me I needed to contact the e-mail support for help.
So here I am looking for your help with my issue.
We just bought a new HP Pavillion Slimline Desk Top PC (as our 6 year old HP Pavillion PC died on us). We have 2 HP printers, one (an all-in-one type printer, used maily for copying and printing color, when needed) is connected and it is working fine with the exception of the scanning option (not supported by Windows 7). However we use our Laser Printer for all of our regular prining needs. This is the HP LaserPrinter 1200se, which is about 6 years old but works really well. For this printer we currently only have a parallel connection type cord and there is not a parallel port on the Slimline HP PC. The printer also has the option to connedt a USB cable (we do not currently have this type of cable).
We posed the following two questions:
1. Is the Laser Jet 1200se compatible with Windows 7?
and if this is the case
2. Can we purchase either a) a USC connection cord (generic or do we need a printer specific cord)? or b) is there there a printer cable converter adapater to attach to our parallel cable to convert to a USB connection?
We do not want to purchase the USB cable if Windows 7 will not accept the connection, or if doing this will harm the PC.
We really would appreciate any assitance that you might give us.

Sorry, both cannot be enabled by design. That said, devices on a network do not care how others are connected. You can print from a wireless connection to a wired (Ethernet) printer and v/v.
