Help with the HOST and START, forms 6i

Hi i like open to image with de Host and Start in Forms 6i.
For example Host('start '||:path||'', NO_SCREEN ); -> is correct if the path is c:\ ... but if the path is more longer with space in white for example C:\Documents and settings ... i put the quotes "C:\Documents and settings ..." but Doesn't open the image, another window (MSDOS) open... :S

Need help with an Aforge and windows forms memory stack-up issue

Hello,
I am experiencing a strange memory stack-up in my c# windows form program that occurs all the time on slow PCs, and when the windows form loses focus or is otherwise interrupted on faster PCs.
The program I have written uses Aforge to get images from my webcam, which I then display in an Aforge picturebox control (CurrImagePic in code) in the windows form. The images are switched into the picture box and then disposed at the camera's native
framerate, so it appears as video to the user, not still images. The picture box is 1080x1920, but the space for it in the form is smaller and so I allow the user to scroll around the picture.
After about ~30 seconds of memory-stable operation on slower PCs, the problem begins. On faster PCs, the problem only occurs when holding down scroll bar arrows or clicking and dragging around either scroll bar, and if I lock the PC or bring up the
Ctrl+Alt+Delete menu.
The problem itself is that memory used by the program starts to increase in very large chunks, leading to an out of memory crash. This is unstoppable on slower PCs, but on the faster PCs if you stop scrolling or return from the lock/Ctrl+alt+delete
menu, the program stabilizes at the higher memory usage level. The memory that was accrued during scrolling or while in the lock menu is never collected by the garbage collector. I've even tried to put in a button that forces a GC.collect() when
pressed, and it does not reduce this memory usage.
I've run perfmon and found that the memory increase is on the unmanaged heap, but I don't know if it's coming from bitmaps which are not being disposed or what it could be from. It's been impossible to track down since it does not occur except in the
above conditions. I've tried various solutions (like moving my image processing out of the event handler and even using both global flags and a "lock" statement to try and ensure that only one thread or frame can access the image processing
and displaying method at at time, but I have seen no change. In fact, I am now seeing some unexplained small jumps in memory usage that I wasn't seeing before I put in the lock and moved the processing out of the handler.
Has anyone run into situations like this? I am at a loss for what I need to fix. I think the problem is based around my Aforge event handler and image processing method if it is in my code at all - but I also have a suspicion that this is something
deeper in the windows form code that I am either misusing or that can't keep up with the demands of my code. Code below:

Windows 8.1 need help with Windows Updates and Start menu Or fix my old Windows Xp system

My beloved windows Xp has gave up after many years of working well. It stopped working a few days ago after a lightening strike.
I got this Windows 8.1 computer a few month ago but it seems to have a problem. I stopped using it after could not get start menu to work and when back to my Windows XP system.
First problem is the start menu is not there. I tried installing something and it says it will take control or something and screen goes black. I clicked canceled quickly in order not to get a virus.
Where is the start menu?
Second problem, Windows updates does not want to update because it needs Windows 8.1 update. This computer is already Windows 8.1. There I canceled it since it was mostly a virus. Now updates are not working.
If those can not be fixed, how can i fix my Windows Xp to get it back. It does not turn on, I press button and nothing happens. Is this something easy to fix?

There is no Start Menu in Windows 8 or 8.1. However, you can restore your desktop start menu with a very good freeware application:
Classic Shell
Windows Update comes with Windows 8.1. There is nothing special you have to do.
It kind of sounds like you've been a bit too quick to download and run whatever you find on the Internet. You should always research any software you're considering downloading/installing ahead of time. Google it. See what others say
about it. Ask on forums. In order to use Windows effectively and safely you need to expand your knowledge and become a more sophisticated user.
If you think your new system has become infected, you might want to consider Refreshing or Resetting it to a clean state, or at least visiting one of the anti-malware forums and getting some advice on cleaning it up. But beware, a lot
of "blind leading the blind" happens on forums. Always try to read between the lines, and question what people say.
You could consider leaving XP behind. Its time has come and gone, and pretty much any newer version of Windows can actually give you better service than XP - once you get it tuned up.
It's possible to make Windows 8.1 more functional than XP and about as functional as Windows 7, but it takes a fair bit of effort in reconfiguration and installation of some well-known 3rd party applications that are good (which, unfortunately, most
on the internet are not).

Help with the movies and the latest version of itunes (vers 11)

So i need some help -
i have an imac desktop - i have an external hard drive hooked up to my time machine. all of my itunes media is on the that external HD - my issue is this -
- i buy a movie via itunes store - it downloads to my preference set up external hard drive. Once its downloaded - i am missing artwork for the movie, and when i go to play it, it reads Itunes does not support QT. In the previous itunes all i had to do is delete the new movie from my itunes libaray and copy/drag it back into the libary and that would fix all the problems - i had artwork and it would work via itunes.
- Since i migrated to to the new itunes 11, this little trick does not work - when i delete and drag over the file, it now shows up in the "home video" section - i have no artwork and cannot watch the movie. This is even the case with downloaded TV shows -
Any suggestions on this? it was very frustrating that i had to do this maintainence before, but now it nothing seems to work.

Need Help with the Total and Grand Total

I have posted a question couple of days ago regarding the COUNT and AVERAGES, for a minute i thought i got the work around, but the problem still exists. I'm trying to find the average work done and average revenue generated. I have to do this by the location,
employee id , date and the number of hours. Below is a sample for february 2014. I have two averages for the work done AvgWorkDone=(sum of work done/count of workingdays in month), the second one is AverageWorkDone1... which i skewed by multiplying by 16 (since
there are 16 hours in my data per day) Please need help

If you see the above report the number of days are adding upto 368, this causes the Individual Averages to be fine but the GrandToatl of the Average is messed up. If i multiply by 16 the Individual Averages are messed up, but the GrandAverage is coming RIGHT.
Please need help where i can get both the individual and the grand averages right.

Hi All,
Finally i found a solution. a) I have a time dim from the ware house and its joined to the fact table based on the dateid, since the fact table is getting only the data for the working days , the ware house time dim is showing only those days as count.
b) I created a new time dim in SSAS TIMEDIMSSAS
c) I joined the new TIMEDIMSSAS to the warehouse time dimension and the fact table and created new measure AvgWorkDone over time and Avg Rev over time.
I'm getting what i wanted. BUT here is a new problem , when i select multiple months the grand total (which should be Average is showing wrong average and i'm not sure why), can anyone please help ?

The values were supposed to be (1.59+.97+9.52)/3=4.02 and NOT 4.17 for Revenue. Similarly for WorkDone (105.79+64.66+634.55)/3=268.33 and NOT 277.68
Please can some one suggest what is going wrong here?

Check settings>iCloud, settings>messages and settings>FaceTime. Don't use the same apple id in all devices.

I need help with the sync and the new update.

I have had 3 new updates recently. I'm now into iTunes 8.1-8.6 or something. I've got two problems that I can't find answers for in the help.
First off, The new iTunes is pink with a black side-bar. I was wondering if there is a way to change it back to white and gray.
Next, when I plug my iPod into the coputer, it says that it has detected the iPod, but can't read it. It then tells me to unplug it and try again. I have done this over 300 times, over two months. It dosn't work. My iPod still dosn't read, and I now have almost twice as many songs on iTunes, as I do on my iPod.
Please help.

My computer tells me iTunes 8.0 is the most current version. I'll assume that's what you're running, but you can check by opening iTunes and going to Help > About iTunes.
You can resolve the color issue by:
Open your Control Panel
Click "Switch to Classic View" on the left
Open the Display icon
Choose the Settings tab
Move your color settings to highest: 32-bit

If you have a external USB enclosure - trying installing your hard drive in that enclosure and connect it to your usb port - restart your macbook while holding down the options key. If you Macbook boots to your desktop then you have a faulty cable. If you get the same error, then your hard drive just died on you.

Need help with a currently "in-use" form we want to switch to Adobes hosting service

Hi, I am in desperate need of help with some issues concerning several forms which we currently use a paid third party (not Adobe) to host and "re-distribute through email"...Somehow I got charged $14.95 for YOUR service, (signed up for a trial, but never used it)..and now I am paying for a year of use of the similar service which Adobe is in control of. I might want to port my form distribution through Adobe in the hopes of reducing the errors, problems and hassles my customers are experiencing when some of them push our "submit button". (and I guess I am familiar with these somewhat from reading what IS available in here, and I also know that, Adobe is working to alleviate some of these " submit" issues, so let's don't start by going backwards, here) I need solutions now for my issues or I can leave it as is, If Adobe's solution will be no better for my end users...
We used FormsCentral to code these forms and it works for the most part (if the end-user can co-operate, and thats iffy, sometimes), but I need help with how to make it go through your servers (and not the third party folks we use now), Not being cruel or racist here, but your over the phone "support techs" are about horrible & I cannot understand them or work with any of them, so I would definitely need someone who speaks English and can understand the nuances of programming these forms, to please contact me back. (Sorry, but both those attributes will be required to be able to help me, so, no "newbie-interns" or first week trainees are gonna cut it).... If you have anyone who fits the bill on those items and would be willing to help us, please contact me back at your earliest convenience. If we have to communicate here, I will do that & I can submit whatever we need to & to whoever we need to.
I need to get this right and working for the majority of my users and on any platform and OS.

Well, thanks for writing back...just so you know...I started using Adobe products in 1987, ...yeah...back then...like Illustrator 1 & 9" B&W Macs ...John Warnock's Helvetica's....stuff like that...8.5 x 11 LaserWriters...all that good stuff...I still have some of it working on a mac...much of it was stuff I bought. some stuff I did not...I'm not a big fan of this "cloud" thing Adobe has foisted upon the creatives of the world...which I'm sure you can tell...but the functionality and usefulness of your software can not be disputed, so feel free to do whatever we will continue to pay for, ...I am very impressed with CC PS on the 64 bit PC and perhaps I will end up paying you the stipend that you demand for the other services.
So I guess that brings us to our problem.. a few years back and at the height of the recession and near bankruptcy myself, I was damn lucky and hit on something and began a small arts and crafts supply service to sell my products online to a very "niche market" ...I had a unique product and still sell that product (plus others) online...My website is www.vinylcouture.com...Strange? Yes...but there is a market it seems, for everything now, and this is the market I service...Catagorically, these are 99%+ women that use these "adhesive, sticky backed vinyl products" to make different "craft items" that are just way too various and numerous to go into... generally older women, women who are computer illiterate for the most part...and all this is irrelevant to my problem, but I want you to have every bit of background on this and especially the demographic we are dealing with, so we can get right to the meat of the problem.
OK...So about two years ago, I decided to offer a "plain sheet" product of a plain colored "stick back" vinyl... it is available in multiple quantities of packs ( like 5 pieces, 10 pieces, 15 pieces, in a packi & so on)...and if you are still on my site.. go to any "GO RIGHT TO OUR ORDER PAGE" button, scroll down a little...and then to the "PLAIN VINYL" section...you will see the Weebly website order process.) You can back out from here, I think,..but, anyway this product is available in 63 colors + or - a few. So then the problem is, how do they select their individual colors within that (whatever) pack?... .
So my initial idea was to enable a "selection form" for these "colors" that would be transmitted to me via email as 'part" of the "order process".. We tried getting our customers to submit a " a list" ( something my competitiors still do, lol, poor bastards)......but that..is just unbelievable..I can't even begin to tell you what a freakin' nightmare that was...these people cannot even count to 10, much less any higher... figuring out what colors to list and send me... well, lets just say, it wasn't working......I had to figure out a better way...Something had to be done.
So after thinking this all out, and yeah...due to my total ignorance, i figured that we could make a form with Live Cycle Designer (Now Forms Central)...(back then something that was bundled with Adobe Acrobat Pro), I believe, and thats what this thing was authored in... and it would be all good...LOL!
Well not so simple...as you well know, Adobe Acrobat would NOT LET YOU EMAIL anything from itself.....it just wouldn't work (and I know why, and all that hooey), but not being one to take NO for answer,.I started looking for a way to make my little gizmo work.. So I found this company that said they can "hijack" (re-direct actually) the request to email, bypass the wah-wah, and re-transmit it to the proper parties.....for less than $100 a year, I think...its called http://pdf-fillableforms.com/.
A nice gentleman named Joseph Silva helped us program the thing to go to his servers and back out. Please dont hassle them...I need them...for now..it basically does work...try it...you should get back a copy of the form that you filled out...good luck however, if you're on MAC OSX or similar...
I have included a copy of both of our forms (and feel free to fill it out and play with it)...just put test somewhere on it...(and you must include YOUR email or it will balk)..they are supposed to be mostly identical, except one seems to be twice as large....generating a 1.7 meg file upon submission, while the other one only generates a 600K file or so...thats another issue for another day or maybe you can advise on that also...
OK so far so good......In our shop, once Grandma buys a 10 pack (or whatever), Only then she gets to the link on her receipt page ro the relevant "selection form" ,(this prevents "Filling and Sending" with "no order" and "no payment", another early problem we had)... which they can click on and it will usually download and open up on their device if all goes well...Then our little form is supposed to be fillable and is supposed to ADD UP all the quantities, so grandma knows how many she is buying and so forth right on the fly, and even while she changes her mind..., and IT'S LARGE so grandma can see it, and then it TOTALS it all up for them, ( cause remember, they can NOT add).., except there is a programming bug (mouse-click should be a mouse-up probably or something..) which makes you click in the blank spaces to get to a correct TOTAL...about 70-80% of our customers can enable all these features and usually the process completes without problems for them especially on PC's running Windows OS and Acrobat Reader X or XI...at least for most... Unfortunately it is still not the "seamless process" I would like or had envisioned for the other folks out there that do have trouble using our form.... Many folks report to us the following issues that we know of. First of all it takes too much time to load up...We know its HUGE...is there anyway that you can see, to streamline this thing? I would love for it to be more compact...this really helps on the phones and pads as I'm sure you well know.
Some just tell us,"it WON'T work"....I believe this is because they are totally out of it and dont even have Adobe Reader on their machine, & don't know how to get it ( yes, we provide the links).....or it's some ancient version....no one can stop this one...
It almost always generates some kind ( at least one time) of "error message" which we do warn them about..., telling one, basically that "Acrobat doesnt even like this happening at all, and it could be detrimental to ones computer files", blah-blah...(this freaks grandma out really bad)...& usually they end up not even trying to send it... and then I get calls that even you wouldn't believe...& If they DO nut up and push the Red "Submit Form" button, it will usually send the thing to us (and also back to them at the "required email address" they furnished on the form, thats what the folks at the "fillable forms place" do) so, if it's performing it's functions, why it is having to complain?. What are we doing wrong?....and how can I fix it?...Will re-compiling it or saving it as a newer version of "FormsCentral" correct any of these problems ?
Ok, so that should keep you busy for a minute and we can start out with those problems...but the next thing is, how can I take advantage of YOUR re-direct & hosting services?, And will it get rid of the error messages, and the slowness, and the iOS incompatibilities ? (amazingly, the last iOS Reader version worked almost OK.. but the newest version doesnt seem to work with my form on my iphone4) If it will enable any version of the iOS to send my form correctly and more transparently, then it might be worth the money...$14.95 a MONTH you say. hmmmmm...Better be good.
Another problem is, that I really don't need 5000 forms a month submitted. I think its like 70-100 or less....Got any plans for that? Maybe I'm just not BIG ENOUGH to use Adobe's services, however in this case, I really don't care whose I do use as long as the product works most correctly for my customers as well as us. Like I said, If I'm doing the best I can, I won't change anything, and still use the other third party, If Adobe has a better solution, then i'm all for that as well. In the meantime, Thanks for any help you can provide on this...

I use free Yahoo mail webMail access because folders I created in webmail access doesn't get set up in Apple Mail. While I was searching for post about password and keychain issues, I stumbled on several threads that complain about Mail folder issues, so I'm holding off on Apple Mail.
On the password and keychain issue that your post is all about. I've been using login keychain to save and automatical fill my login screens for a year or so successfully, with Safari and Chrome. Automatic form fill also works for Facebook login. Unfortunately, about 4 to 6 months ago, automatic password form fill stopped working with Yahoo webmail, while still worked for GMail (Safari and Chrome). I tried deleting the password entry for my two Yahoo email accounts to start fresh, but neither Safari not Chrome will even ask me if I want to save the password. I was so frustrated that I eventually installed the keypassX 0.43 (password manager) that is quite primitive sompare to OS X's keychain (when it works). Probably no surprise to you yet.
The surprise, to me at least, is that, for whatever reason, password auto form-fill from keychain started working again for Yahoo webmail login on Safari about 5-7 days ago. Still doesn't work on Chrome!
Two tips I can share, at least with webmail access:
1. Password is save only for one of my yahoo mail accounts. When I login in with my other yahoo account, I get no prompt to save the password, and form fill doesn't work when I try to log in a second time with my other Yahoo mail account.
2. On inspection of my login keychain, I see a webform password item saved for my Yahoo account that works with keychain. The name of the password is: login.yahoo.com(MyAccountName1#). When I open the password item and look in the Access Control tab, I see Safari and Chome are listed as allowed to access this password item..
I also an "Internet password" item with a name of just login.yahoo.com. When I open the the password item, it looks just like the password item created for MyAccountName#1, but the MyAccountName#2 is listed in the Account field. Inside the Access Control tab, no apps are listed in access permission. I added Safari and Chrome to the lists of allowed app, saved the password item.
Now when I bring up the Yahoo login page(by bookmark) on Safari, form fill fills in MyAccountname#1 for name and the proper password and I can login in. When I change the name to MyAccountName#2, the correct password is retrieved and I can log in! Alas, it still doesn't work on Chrome.
BTW, I changed the password item type from "Internet password" to "Web Form password" and saw no difference! I also edited the name to be "login.yahoo.com (MyAccountName#2)" to look like the web form password item that works, but it has no effect either.
From my experimentation, here's my observation:
1. A Web Form password item is created for the first account name(MyAccountName#1) for login.yahoo.com and typed as Web Form password. When I log in using MyAccountName#2, an Internet Password is created, but no applications are listed as allowed to access the password item, even when the password item was created after just logged in and logged out to yahoo with the account name and password for MyAccountName#2.
2. Manually adding Safari as an app that is allowed to use the password item works. Doesn't work with Chrome!
The version of Safari I'm using is Version 5.1.7 (6534.57.2). My installed version of Chrome is Version 21.0.1180.79 beta.

I have understood some usefull information and would like to share with you.
Within one transaction, you can open and close several layout sets using OPEN_FORM and
CLOSE_FORM, however not simultaneously. You can use parameters in the OPEN_FORM to control
whether the output is stored in the same print request. But also the SAP spool decides,
depending on several plausibility checks, whether new output is appended to an existing
print request or whether to create a new print request anyway.

the start page of the layout set, you must start the current layout set again and again.
To start a layout set again, you must first end the current layout set and then open the
layout set again. Within one print request, first call the function module END_FORM. It
executes the final processing for the current layout set. Then start the layout set again
using START_FORM. Output then begins again on the start page of the desired layout set.

jpmarkques post is a good start point, after folling his directions, you can try detect displays. Also try different rsolution and refresh rates.
Most of the projectors I have used support a 1024X768 res.
Youcan also try a pram reset if it still does not detect.
Leave theproctor connected and powered up, power down the MBP.
Power back up the MBP and hold the following keys before you hear the start up chime:
Option, command, P,R (no commas) continue to hold these keys till you hear the start up chime 2 times.
