Hey, is there a way to put own PDF's into the iTunes U App?

Our professors gave us several lecture-PDF's but my University isn't a member of iTunes U. Is there a way to put these PDF's in the app anyway, to use the note-feature etc.?

Perhaps you don't know how to bring icons into the Firefox Toolbar. You can put many things up there, including Bookmarks. You can also remove an icon or rearrange the order of icons.
From View>Toolbars>Customize
Here is the Bookmarks icon (next to the History icon) from which you can open all your bookmarks directly. And if you can remember a keyword, it will find that one, or any others that come up with that keyword. It's really quite convenient to use and will stay updated with any new bookmarks that are added.

The prgram is in one location and the library (media + library files) are in another. Sending it all to the trash would take some pretty delibrate multiple actions and digging through multiple folders, so I don't know how this was managed unless there's something in Snow Leopard that's new. Occasionally I have moved a file to the trash in Finder that I didn't want to and I can use Finder's "undo" to undo the last move. With many files...?

I have a similar issue. My hard drive crashed, so I had a new one installed and I'm basically starting from scratch on my computer. My iPhone has a lot of my stuff on it (photos and music in particular). When I plugged into iTunes I did a "back up" of my phone to the computer....this transferred the photos in my camera roll, and music purchased through iTunes.
So....I still have a ton of photos (saved in folders, not my camera roll), and music (older stuff not purchased through iTunes) that I want to get to my computer. I am scared to "sync" my phone in iTunes for the first time.....if I do this, will it make my phone match my computer (effectively erasing the stuff on the phone?). What I want is for my computer to match my phone (thus transferring the additional photos and music). Is the third party software the only way?? Does it really work well/is it worth the money? This worked! ...about 50%, but I suppose that's better than nothing. I went into iTunes on my old username and downloaded the 300+ songs to my library but then for some reason when I went to transfer them to my iPhone it would only transfer like 120 or so of them. I'm not really sure why but I'll continue to work on it. Thanks so much for the help.
FYI - if anyone else reads this bc they have the same problem. If you choose to go this route and download previous purchases from your old account you cannot auto download any content on your new(er) apple ID for 90 days after the purchase download. Just something to keep in mind, but for me, it was totally worth it. I have no qualms about manually transferring the songs to my iPhone for the next 3 months if it meant getting the rights to transfer all my old songs to my iPhone.

That is not really what the CCK's USB connector is for and a number of folks report that there are USB memory sticks that are not accessibleto the iPad with the connector. Other folks report that sometimes they overcome that issue by using a self-powered USB hub in the daisy chain; USB stick> USB hub > iPad.
The USB connector is for cameras that can only be connected to computers/iOS devices via a USB cable.

Get a free online storage account (box.net, dropbox, sugarsync, google drive or whichever of the dozens of free offerings you like - I use box.net most of the time and it works well). Then, put your PDF files up on the cloud storage account and only download the one or ones you need at any given time. You can limit your transfers to only when you have a free wifi hotspot available. That will minimize how much space you need to use for PDF document storage.
As others mentioned, you have to load a PDF into an app to even see it - iBook if you like, or any of the dozens of PDF reader and editing apps available in the app store (Adobe Reader is available there, and is free).

Ok, my problem is that I have not got any trace of music on my computer and my music is on my ipod Classic. It is an 80GB one. I want to know if you can still put new music on it without deleting what is already on it. Or, if there is a way to get the music off it and into the computer. You can also prevent auto sync by holding down shift & ctrl as you plug in your iPod and keeping the keys held down until the iPod appears in iTunes.
Once you are connected, you need to set your iPod to manage music manually.

If so, turn Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off being able to turn both off and on via the menu bar.
If you don't use Bluetooth - it is already off, all you need to do is turn Wi-Fi off.

One way is to get the GoodReader app. It has a built in web browser that allows you to web surf and download pdfs into GoodReader. You can read them in the GoodReader app or open them in other apps that can read pdfs.

Moto is ducking the issue and misguiding you, not surprising now that Moto is owned by Google. Apple cannot help you with Motorola's own app.
Moto's information says only that "MOTOTALK automatically imports your contacts to the app" but I can't find anything that says where these contacts will be obtained. If it's not picking up the contacts from your iPhone's Contacts, then I can't guess what they mean. I doubt very much that you'll be able to load contacts from a Mac, but I can't say with certainty.
