hi all
i am using bdc call transaction to upload data from park vendor invoice transaction in fico.
there are 1000 and 2000 company codes data i have to update.
the transaction ask for first CC and then it takes remaining data.
my bdc work for both the company code, but
issue: when i switch over from one company code i.e. from 2000 to 1000 or from 1000 to 2000, the bdc zprogram throws me out.

Hi,
The problem might be, while switching over the company code, the FV60 transaction gets reset. so check whether you have enter proper BDC data by running the BDC transaction in mode 'A'.

BDC - table control - experts please help

Hi experts,
Please help. I am in need of your help.
I am working with BDC and I have a table control in one of the screen. Table control has a check box in the first column. While recording how I entered the data is : I select the check box in a row, enter two values in next two columns of that row and then hit enter then the other columns in that row turn from grey to white (initially these columns are greyed out).
NOw in BDC when I run my session in foreground, I am able to check(select) the check box and enter the values in next two columns and then I have a Enter OKCODE. But when I hit enter it is not able to recognize the row and its unable to turn the greyed out columns in that particular row to white.
Is there a way to specify in my program that I am hitting enter in one particular row.
Please help. Let me know if something is not clear. Very urgent . Pleasee respond. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I will try that. I got one more doubt. While manually creating the recipes using C201, there is a screen Recipe header. When I record this transaction, I see a different screen for the Recipe header. Fro example the screen numbers are like 4210(manual) and 4211(recording).
But my problem is there are two fields which are missing in the screen which I am getting while recording C201. These two fields are present on the screen for manual creation. I need to enter those two fields while I record. But how can I do this.

Unable to update the serial number through bdc in Sales Order

Hi experts,
I written the inboud FM for to update the 3rd party items serial number to the sales orders through BDC Call transaction Method.
Here i am facing a problem when i have the 19 item Quan ,it is updating correct through idoc , when ever there is moe than 19 and at that if any serial number repeated for that if i am changing at that time it is loosing the control of the BDC and giving the control to the salesorder screen.
how can i handle that control again has to come to BDC prgrm......

Help needed in BDC

Dear Experts,
I have a module pool program and transaction for shipping advice, where I have given a option that if user enters Sales Order in the selection screen and in the next screen it shows all the related infromation of that order and if needed user can edit few fields in this screen and can take print.
Now for the same report I dont want to show any screen to user after user enters the order and executes directly it should display the dialog box for 'Print' and 'Print Preview'.
I did BDC recording for the transaction of shipping adive report and with that code I have developed other program and if run this program in foreground (Mode "A")it will show all screens with that dialog screen for 'Print' also but if I run in background (Mode "B") it will not show any screen and it will print the document directly.
Now my requirement is I have to show only dialog screen for 'Print' & 'Print Preview'.
Please give me your valuable Ideas on how to achieve this...

Hello,
May be you are not using the full recording or might have some mistake(s) is going on in the completion of recording that is why it is creating problem. And also please check the call transaction code in the BDC program, whether you are performing the accurate t-code with that or not and also perform BDC functions also. If it is right than it would not might have any problem regarding the required output as you want.

Unable to run BDC due to start-of-selection

Hi Experts,
I am running BDC for ROH type.
The data is in the excel file so I am performing the below operation.
In the BDC recording before perform open group there is "START-OF-SELECTION" and I also have a START-OF-SELECTION for excel uploading now how wud both would go together..
My requirement is to select the file through F4 then choose BDC type session or call transaction
and upload the data
Since I have 2 start-of-selection nothing happens after F8.
Help is really appreciated and rewarded.

How to put a report which contains code for BDC in background

Hello Experts ,
Please provide your valuable opinions on following issue,
My BDC execution is taking longer time and it gives time out error. To avoid this problem i have created a separate report which l contains the BDC code (Call transaction ) and i have put this report for background execution. But upon doing this My BDC code is not performing the transaction call which it was performing when it was executed individually. In sm37 it shown the job that i am creating but nothing is actually happening as a result of transaction call.
The code that i have written is :
RFC code
SUBMIT ZREPORT AND RETURN.
RFC end
Z_REPORT .
PERFORM open_job.
PERFORM get_print_parameters.
PERFORM job_submit. here in Submit i have specified the another report name(zbdcreport) which contains the actual logic for bdc

Data upload for vendor balances using BDC

hi abap experts,
I have a requirement on data uploading using BDC.
For the vendor balances ie. for transaction FBL1N ( I was given a template for vendor balance upload and need to write a BDC program for that ) I need upload the exsisting transaction data to the system. is recording necessary for this?

Please follow the following Steps:
Steps for recording:
Step1: Goto TCODE SHDB
Step2: Click on New Recording
Step3: Give the necessary Details such as TOCDE, Desc, ...
Step4: Do the screen by screen recording.(Please avoid extra screen to appear)
Step5: Save the recording.
Step6. Select the recording and click on Program button on toolbar.
Step7: Give the Program name and click on radio button Transfer from recording.
Step 8: It will open a new session with SE38 and a program with the recoding.
Step 9: then just add the basic code for BDC.

Sales order: How to add pricing conditions at item level in BDC of VA01

Am writing BDC for sales order, in this process I need to add ITEM PRICING CONDITIONS, so, am selecting item and pressing the DOLLAR symbol button and am adding the conditions by pressing PLUS button in loop!! but am getting this erorr- Field KOMV-KMEIN (2) is not an input field!! when I execute it in we19-BACK GROUND only!! if I execute the same CODE IN we19-Fore ground, I dont have any issue!! I checked this SDN (field status in config), Google, but did not helped me!
Pls. let me know is there any other way to add conditions at item level in VA01 in BDC code?

It is happening because the second row of the item level data screen is becoming display only. Please check whether In foreground mode you are pressing an extra enter to give data in the second row of the item level data after giving data in the first row and in BDC recording you have not recorded that 'Enter'.

BDC is not working in background mode and working fine in Foreground mode

Hi Experts,
I have created a BDC in SHDB for the transaction code:CWBQM for creating and deleting the record and converted the BDC recording into the program using call transaction. It is working fine in both foreground and background. When I given the same program for users testing one for the user was able to delete the records but Creation is not working in the same BDC. He is able to create the same records in another PC and the problem is only in that PC and only during the creation of the record. When I change the mode to 'A' mode for testing and request the user to execute and it is working fine the records created successfully. What could be the issue ?

How to supress a warning message in BDC for ME11 Tcode

I am doing a BDC report for ME11 Tcode and some of warning is ignorable for this transaction code,how can we suppress these warning through BDC program, is it possible or will have to make some changes changes in TCODE(ME11) itself.

if the warning message coming in a pop-up window then it can be supressed in the following way.
1. comment the lines of the code of bdc recording of that pop-up screen along with the perform of bdc ok code '=ENTE".
2. use the structure ctu_params and fill the correspondings fiels, particularly the field nobinpt = 'X' and then use this structure in the call transcation statement as
call transcation 'ME11'
using bdcdata
options from opt ( structure of ctu_params )
3. At the time of recording use the option of check box " no batch input session ".

Background job fails for BDC profile creation and role assignment

Hi Experts,
I have created a BDC Function module for Tcode 'PFCG' for profile creation and role assignment, and called this FM in my zprogram. the problem is that when i run this program in foreground it executes succesfully, but if i schedule it in background it fails throwing error in job log 'Role 'Z...' does not contain any active authorizations'. But i have created one more program to create authorization objects which runs before this zprogram.I have also checked the authorization object in 'RSECADMIN', it reflects active. I dont understand whats happening exactly when it runs background.

For creating authorization objects, role & profile i have created one dummy auth, dummy role & dummy profile respectively.
i have created dummy objects to copy the roles from dummy object and assign the same to new Auth obj, role & profile.
Let me know what needs to be done. because these both the programs run perfectly in foreground, but fails in background.

BDC is not working as background job

Dear Expert,
I have developed a program which contain BDC of FB75 with mode 'E' . I have Schedule this program as background by FM 'JOB OPEN' , Submit statement and 'JOB CLOSE'. My problem is when i run this program as background BDC is not working.
What is the solution of this problem?

Hi Avadhesh,
if FB75 is doing a commit work, then, your batch job will finish with error at the time of BDC execution.
Try to add the option parameter type CTU_PARAMS to the CALL TRANSACTION with field RACOMMIT = 'X'.

How to use scroll for tablecontrol in BDC

   I have created BDC for IA05 tcode. In that am filling table control. that table control view is 15 lines, but i have to fill 20 entries.
for this i am using the below code. In debugging m checking that '=P+' is there in BDCDATA.
But while executing in foreground this '=P+' is not triggering. Then only 15 line items are creating.

I think you should also call the screen and the field in the perform BDC while using P++. To confirm do a dummy recording on the same transaction and scroll down while recording and use the code generated as a reference.

You can go for mode 'E'.. it will display the output screen directly and if there is any error in the transaction you would get that particular screen and you can correct and continue after which you will get the final screen if anything goes fine...

RFC enabled function module is not runing the BDC code in it.

Dear Experts,
1. We have created a RFC enabled function module to change status of a activity and to save it we are using BDC code and we have also put the code in the RFC FM only.
The RFC fm is runing fine and changing the data and also saving it by runing the BDC when run in the R/3 system only.
But when i run the FM from portal its just chaning the status but not runing the BDC code in it.

Dear experts,
Already the FM is RFC enabled other i won't be able to call it from portal
and coming to using the BAPI_ACTIVITY CHANGE fm that acting very weird so we are using the CRM EXTERN CHANGE USER STATUS fm which is working fine but the only problem is even when we comit from BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT its not getting the delta queue of BW updated eventhough its chaning the status.
So for the above reasons we are using the BDC code in the FM for pressing the save button then its will update the changes to BW delta queue as well.
its working fine when i run it from the system in tcode SE37 only the BDC code is not runing when i am doing it from portal apart from the fm is chaning the status .
