You don't supply much info other than your machine is old, so here is some info for you to check thru.
Before doing anything you should have a back up, preferably 2, in the event something goes wrong.
You would have to start by upgrading to Snow Leopard, you would need to buy the disk for about $20 here http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Check the the requirements to see if your machine meets them.
You would then need to run the 10.6.8 v1.1 combo update to get it to 10.6.8 Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
You can then access the APP STORE and possibly upgrade to to further OSX.
You may have applications that will not be compatible with any thing past Snow Leopard, you can check those here Upgrading to 10.7 and above, don't forget Rosetta!

You may be able to upgrade to Lion or MT Lion or Yosemite, depending on your machine, from the APP STORE.

the X6540A is a Dual Single-Ended Ultra/Wide SCSI (PCI) controller. The controller is only upto 40MB/sec, which might be suficient for a SDLT600 or LTO-2.
Every Single-Ended SCSI device works with this card, but performance would be low when using LVD/SE devices (some LVD devices can't operate in SE mode!)
I would suggest that you call Sun Sales.
I guess that the PCI/PCI-X Dual Ultra320 SCSI Adapter (SG-XPCI2SCSI-LM320) or PCI Dual Ultra3 SCSI Host Adapter (LVD) (X6758A) are a better choice if attaching more recent drives.

Downgrade Lion/Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
      loads select your language and click on the Continue
      button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
      Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
      mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
      of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then
      the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART
      info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on
      the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
      from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
      Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
      partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
      the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions. If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

Any one or a combo may help
Give your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and try again.
Try a different USB cord
Try a different USB port
Try rebooting your computer
Try closing/opening iTunes.
If you go through that and it doesn't work, try going into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Service, Apple Application Support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and try again

I need a new account because one day while trying to buy an app my Apple Id randomly said my password was incorrect after I typed my password in right. I tried thousands of times, and no hope. I couldnt reset the password because I had forgotten its password. I tried other things but they failed. So I did this iCloud change address thing and it kept my Apple ID's data, but change the email and I set a new password. Then all my data goes to iCloud and I still can't buy apps as of the security questions which I forgot.... No Japanese carrier provides unlocking services. Therefore, your phone must have been hacked to unlock it. That hack was removed when you updated the software. You need to be a legitimately unlocked phone.

Hello, I try to used my account last Sunday, April the 29th, I had to changed the password because the institutions tall me that my account was disabled so I follow the instructions and the apple TV keeps on tell in me that the account has been disabled.
Also I try to enter with the computer with the I tunes account and it goes trow but If a try to redeem a card it seas that the account is disabled as well.
Can you let me know what should I do??

Apps like MacKeeper or any other maintenance apps like CleanMyMac 1 or 2, TuneUpMyMac, MacCleanse or anything like these apps, installed on your Mac, while they appear to be helpful, can do too good a job of data "cleanup" causing the potential to do serious data corruption or data deletion and render a perfectly running OS completely dead and useless leaving you with a frozen, non-functional Mac.
Plus, these type of apps aren't really necessary OR needed. They really aren't.
There are manual methods to clear off unnecessary data off of your Mac that are safer and you have complete control over your Mac and not just leave a piece of auto cleaning software in charge of clearing off data off of your Mac. Their potential of causing OS X issues outweighs the implied good and benefits these types of hard drive or memory "cleaning" apps are written to do.
These types of system 'cleaning" apps are very poorly written and are really a scam to rob newbie and novice Mac users of their hard earned cash for a poorly written maintenance program that will do much more harm to a perfectly normal running OS X system than the good that the app developers purport these types of apps will do.
Plus, the software companies that write these apps make it hard to easily uninstall these apps if something DOES go wrong and these apps work in a way where you have no recovery or revert function to return your Mac back to its former, working state in the event something does go wrong.
It is best to never, EVER download and install these types of apps.
The risk to your system and important data is too great a risk!

So I've always had about 10+ tabs open and every time I would close my window, and open back, they are all still there. we are running an productive xml database. but it is not stable now. Sometime it would report resource conflict error while you access xmldb via http protocol. I read the database logs and listener logs, but no abnormal message could be found. So, I want to find more information from the xmldb logs. While I run select DBMS_XDB.cfg_get().getclobval() from dual, I found that there are several logfile-path and log-level tags and I guess that these would be xmldb logs. Does anyone know what's the meaning of these tags?

I wondered about that one often too. I didn't have a chance yet to investigate (but maybe Mark will elaborate a little here), my guess is that it / or will be a possibility to enable tracing regarding the protocols or servlets.
Though It look like if you enable it it will trace to the XML file defined in the xdbconfig.xml. I also guess that (because there is also a XSD counterpart) that one could create an resource that streams the errors into a XDB ftp or http or ... xmltype table based on these settings.
This would be great because it would mature the protocol server regarding functionality. You could enable the tracing and see what happens. Until now the documentation doesn't give much extra insight...
