  • I rented and downloaded two movies from iTunes via my iPad. They show up as purchased in items but won't play. They do not show up in iPad visor app at all. Any ideas on what happened and how to fix are welcome. Thanks

I rented two movies from iTunes using my iPad. They show us as purchased but will not run from there. I get a message saying I have 24hours to watch then it just goes back to iTunes. I looked in video app where they usually go and nothing is there. Any ideas for a fix are welcome?
    Thanks

You did try tapping on one of them in that list in the iPod app! This has happened to me and I was able to start the movie from there. You could try restarting the iPad, go into the iPod app and try again.
Now I'm stumped unless it is a corrupt download. You did download right onto the iPad - correct? If you downloaded in iTunes, there is a Move tab or function that you have to select to transfer the movies to the iPad when you sync. They just don't sync over without selecting move.

  • I have downloaded 2 movies from itunes to my ipad, but they are not showing up on itunes.  where are they?  how can i find them?

I have downloaded 2 movies from itunes to my ipad 2, but they are not showing up in itunes.  where can i find them?

Tap the Videos app and tap the movies button at the top of the page.
The iTunes app on your iPad is just a conduit to the iTunes Store.  To play your purchases, use the iPod app or the Videos app.

    Hello Lcw2610,
I would recommend deleting the affected movie from your iPad, and redownloading the movie.

  • I want to sync my movies from iTunes onto my iPad, but when i try, it says it needs to "erase and sync" my iPad. If i erase and sync, will it delete my apps, photoa, and videos?

i want to sync my movies from iTunes onto my iPad, but when i try, it says it needs to "erase and sync" my iPad. This is the first time plugging my ipad into my newwer computer.  If i erase and sync, will it delete my apps, photos, and videos?

All devices only sync what you select to sync.
If you do not want all of the music, then simply do not select all of the music to sync.

  • Can't watch downloaded movies from Itunes on my Ipad if no WiFi.

I downloaded movies directly from Itunes on my Ipad while I was at home using my WiFi.
How can I watch them when I don't ave any WiFi available (on an airplaine, hospital).
Tried to watch them and the Itunes on my Ipad  says it needs WiFI.

Once the movies have been synced or downloaded to your ipad, you then watch them with the videos app not itunes, I believe this is why you are seeing the message stating need wifi.
If you cannot locate videos app, do a search on the pad by swiping down slightly on the home screen to get the search bar and search Videos.

  • HT203167 Where can i find downloaded movies from itunes on my ipad?

I purchased and rented movies on itunes, transferred to ipad and i can not located the downloaded movies on my ipad...where are they?

Well that was what I thought too. But after my upgrade I no longer have them there. When I click on itunes they are there. But when I try and open a movie I get a message
This Device Is Already Associated With An Apple ID
If you donwload past purchases with your Apple ID, you cannot auto-download or download past purchases with a different Apple ID for 90 days.
    Cancel /Transfer
    What is that.
Also my Ipad was plugged into my mac and started syncing. I have iCloud. So now it shows I have 22 downloads which is my music!!!! What is going on?
Where are my movies and why do I have 22 already purchased music downloads?
    Someone please help me.

  • I purchased a movie from itunes on my ipad but it doesn't show up in my library.  It shows up in my history of purchases when I open that page but it is not noted in the list of purchases with all my other purchases.  Any idea why?

I purchased a movie from itunes on my regular ipad but it doesn't show up in my library.  I am able to view it via my movies icon on the Ipad I used when purchasing it but it does not show up in my purchases listing to download to my ipad mini.  Also if I access my itunes account it does not show up in the history of purchases listing like all my other purchases but it does show up when i open that page at the very top; separate form the list.  I've tried everything to get it to show up so I can download/view it on my ipad mini.

    Hi adtsalmon,
You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
Here's the link to the Movie Rentals FAQs site FYI:

    Hope this helps!

  • HT4095 Can I download movies from iTunes to my iPad and watch them on line as well in case I don't have my iPad with me.

I have a 16gig iPad mini with latest iOS software.
Please can anyone advise on the following.
If I buy a movie on iTunes, can I download it onto my iPad and keep it there?
If I then delete it, can I download it again free?
If I do not have my iPad with me, can I watch it online through iTunes?

The film will need to be downloaded in order to watch it, you can't stream it from the store. Whether you can re-download a film will depend upon what country that you are in and whether it remains in the store (studios occasionally remove them). You are better off keeping your own backup copy of all of your downloads rather that relying on being able to re-download from the store in the future (you can copy purchases from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases)
    What can be re-downloaded where : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085
You can also get wifi-enabled drives which allow you to stream your content to your iPad, so not everything needs to be stored on it e.g. GoFlex Satellite (there are other makes as well).

  • Problems with downloading movies from iTunes on my iPad

When I buy a movie in iTunes it just says "waiting" and it never starts downloading - what can I do?
I'm from Denmark where movies have just been released simultaneously with the release of iOS5, maybe a start-up mistake or what do you think?
I've tried it twice now, with both "Senna" and "Inside Job"..
    Thanks!
    A confused Dane..

With files as large as movies can be - make sure that you have ample storage capacity available on your iPad in order for the movies to download.
You can try restarting the iPad and see if the downloads will resume as well, or launch iTunes on you computer and go to Store>Check for Available Downloads, and download the movie to iTunes and then sync the movies to the iPad.
Make sure that you are signed into the correct account on your iPad - Settings>Store>Apple ID.

  • I cannot download movies from iTunes on my iPad? It just sends me to apple support link.

Movies will not download on to my iPad. It simply redirects me to iTunes support but with no other info. Any ideas?

If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you can do so via this link and ask them for help : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I can't download movies from iTunes on my iPad!!!!

I go to films in iTunes and click on buy and nothing happens, when I re click on the buy button it tells me that I have already purchased the film but it has not downloaded and to manage it in the downloads file but there is nothing there. Please can someone help.

I have only downloaded one feature length film on my iPad and I did it at home using my home WiFi network. It went flawlessly and took about 90 minutes to download a 1.64 GB movie.
Maybe it was an authorization issue with your iPad. iTunes can get hinky about that kind of thing - especially with app downloads. Maybe connecting the iPad to your computer reset your iTunes authorization and let the movie start downloading again. I know that sounds bizarre but it can occur with third party apps that will not open. One of the common fixes is to download another app in order to reset your iTunes account authorization.
You should be able to see the download progress bar as the movie is downloading. My response was worded the way that it was because I didn't know if you started the download and left the iPad sitting somewhere for a few hours and when you came back - all you saw was the terms and downloads screen.

  • How do i put movies from itunes on my ipad, but keep them off my ipod?

I'm sort of new to this whole ipad thing so please be patient with me.  I have been using itunes for my ipod for years now, but just recently purchased a new ipad.  I have alot of digital copy movies that i would like to put on it, but i dont want them to automatically transfer to my ipod also when i plug it in.  Can someone please tell me what needs to be done for this?

Simply configure the iPod to not sync movies by disabling the Sync Movies option from under the iPod's Movies configuration tab in iTunes. To access this tab, plug your iPod in and click on it from Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes. Over to the right in the main iTunes window section, locate the Movies tab along the top and select it.  At the top of this tab is the option to Sync Movies.
Make sure it has NO check mark and apply the changes if necessary by clicking the Apply button in the lower right hand corner.
