Hidding menu options

I have a report on a menu(ap component) and only certain users are allowed to run the report, I wish to hide the menu option if the user does not have the privs to run it - is this possible.

There is a check box:
"Inherit from component". Uncheck that.
Now for submenus & menu links you can set the privileges to the users that you want.
STEPS:
1) Click "Edit" against menu.
2) Uncheck "Inherit from component".
It will show you a mult-list type "security" field.
3) On the left frame choose the sub menu/menu item for which you want to set the security & set privilege to whomever you want.
NOTE: The steps are if you are using portal 3.0.8 or above.

we are trying to hide some options from Work Manager 6.0 menu. We know how to hide timesheets, but we need to hide work orders function (See Screenshoot). Anyone knows how to hide them without Agentry project modification? the specific requirements is to use work manager only for notifications. We want to keep the standard application.

Thx for your answer. I dont want to change the agentry work manager code, i mean about adding new rules or new logic. For example to hide the timesheets button we found a work around changing some parameters on ERP Config Panel without work manager code changing (See screen 1). Also you can see an existing rule on workmanager.
Anyway if the only way is changing the work manager code, we will do it.

How do I hide/remove the Invite People menu option under Share in Office 2013

We have attempted to disable all the cloud features of Office 2013 using GPOs. However, the "Invite People" menu option under Share in the Office backstage view still shows up. Is there a GPO or reg key to remove or hide this option? See image
below.

Please try to use the Office Custom UI Editor to hide the the "Invite People" Task.

I am trying to hide the Options menu in UserChrome.css but it is not working. Here is what I have tried menuitem[label="Options..."] {display:none !important;}

In the userChrome.css I have tried the following entry: #updateSeparator, #checkForUpdates {display: none !important;}
menuitem[label="Options..."] {display:none !important;}
menuitem[label="Add-ons"] {display:none !important;}
menuitem[label="Get Bookmark Add-ons"] {display:none !important;}
The other lines work, but the line to hide the Options menu does not. This in on Windows 32-bit XP sp3.

It is an ellipsis (…) and not three dots.
If there is an ID for a menu entry like in this case #menu_preferences then it is better to use that ID.

"Get Bookmark Add-ons" is a normal bookmark that you can remove via the right-click context menu or move elsewhere.

Is it possibe to hide the menu toolbar?? Menu tool bar options like program, Edit.. I want to know how to hide the options at runtime...

I do not think that it is possible to hide menu bar entirely .
But from the list you can remove Program, Edit, Goto from the Menu bar. But You can not remove
the SYSTEM and HELP from the Menu bar .
Create a status with the specified name with out the adding in the menu barand write code in your program -
set pf-status 'STAT' immediately.
WRITE : 'TEST'.
This will remove Program, Edit, Goto from the list.
If you want to remove some subobjects of menu bar you can go for Transaction
variant (Transaction SHD0) but it will not work dynamically means it will be prefixed.

Error Message when trying to "import larger size" menue Option

This is the error I get when I try to use the otion to Import Larger Size...
Also the animation displays correctly in the Prieview in browser function, and in Prieview, however it does not work on the published test server.
I only imagine these problems are linked......
Any help is appreciated, thanks in Advance
Also mobile mesponsive page attributes and background images do not display correctly (IOS tested only).
Is there a work around for any of these issues?

Based on our findings, the error appears when using an Edge animation whose stage size was increased while preserving the same poster image. To confirm this, try the following steps:
Go to Edge app and capture another poster image (without chaning the stage size)
From Edge republish the animation
Switch back to Muse and update the asset (if you publish from Edge in the same location, the Assets panel in Muse will display a little exclamation mark letting you know that the animation is out of date; use right-click -> Update Asset to update it).
This will hide the menu option "Import Larger Size" which was only supposed to work for images (we'll remove it for Edge animations in a future release since it makes no sense).
Regarding the other issue - preview (in Muse) not working - can you please send the Edge file you're using to [email protected] along with a link to this topic. If your file is > 20MB, please use a file sharing service like SendThisFile or Adobe SendNow.

A IR page can be accessed by authenticated and non-authenticated users. I would like to hide some options in IR menu from non-authenticated users.

Unfortunately, that does not seem applicable to me, because I have no access to IR menu items APEXIR_SELECT_COLUMNS, APEXIR_FILTER, APEXIR_SORT, APEXIR_DOWNLOAD etc...
These are not report columns to which one can apply authorisation scheme, but IR black box stuff.
I presume, there must be some undocumented package function that can show/hide these IR options, but I have not managed to find it yet.

I can explain you the details there is a list as you mentioned Newsletter with a column email in it you are right but for your answer ya i can use enforce unique values for that column but if i am using it it gives me an error in the next page what i want
is just beside my text box to say that already registered user.I want that functionality that is what i meant.

All "timeline" menu options appear greyed out in my version of Dreamweaver 8. I've tried deleting the cache file and the configuration folder, but without success. There was originaslly some reference to a Javascript error message reference timeline(), since when I've ensured my Java was updated. Any ideas please?

For some reason, the Link > Framemaker document option was also greyed out when I created the project. I had been having trouble with the .xpj file not being created by RH11 and reinstalled TCS5/RH11. Then I created the project and was able to find and open the .xpj file. Like I said, I found then that the Link > Framemaker document option was greyed out and could only import the FM book.
I recreated another project and see that the Link > Framemaker document option is greyed out. I can only use Link > Word document, which is of no use to me. Any suggestions would be welcome!

When we are logging in with the English language in R12, the menu options for some responsibilities are displayed in different languages, which is looking very strange. This is happening to different responsibilities. can any one help me on this.

Invoking Discoverer Report from Zoom Menu Option

HI there
I've seen this on client site but never done it myself. Does anyone have any documentation or guidance on how to set up a form personalization so that the zoom menu option on a form links to a discoverer report, potentially passing parameter values to limit the data? Can forget the parameter side if it's complicated for now as we don't have any full requirements.

Zoom functionality is very simple just follow the bellow steps
• Enter the Form Personalization form. (M) Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize.
• Rule Seq: 10
• Description: Create Menu Item
• Trigger Event: WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE
• Context: User and set the value to your user name (don't forget to do this for every Rule you define)
• Select the Actions tab
• Actions Seq: 10
• Type: Menu
• Menu Entry: SPECIAL31
• Menu Label: Discoverer Report
• Rule Seq: 30
• Description: Open Discoverer Report
• Trigger Event: SPECIAL31
• Context: User and set the value to your user name
• Actions Seq: 10
• Type: Builtin
• Builtin Type: Launch a Function
• Function Code: XXX---Function name
• Function Name: wil be defaulted from the code
• Save your work and exit all the forms.
Try it out!!!
