Hide contents off stage problem

i'm dynamically pulling in a few flash banners onto a website i have. my problem is kind of weird and i havent been able to find any info, so any help is greatly appreciated.
objects that appear outside of the stage area are showing up on screen despite the publish settings and everything else i can think of indicates the flash should be showing exactly at 728x90. it's really weird, especially given that if i publish an html page from flash directly, that page does NOT display anything outside the stage box. are there any params i can set in the embed that will basically hide overflow of content off the stage?

Easiest way to do this is just to make a mask in your fla on top most layer and put all your animations under that.
FP still plays content that is on stage but outside of the stage bounds if the "window" is streched beyond stage size. This can happen if your swf is set to noScale and your embed dimensions are larger than your swf dimensions.

Content Server connection problems

SAP Content Server connection problems
I have installed the SAP Content Server on a Windows 2003 server. I connected to the Max DB on the remote server from Database Manager on my PC. I created repositories in R/3 in OAC0 and CSADMIN and saved documents to the Content Server. This all took a few hours from O/S install to saving a document in the repository, so I do understand the basics of the Content Server and Max DB.
Unfortunately we are not going to use Windows; we will be running this on UNIX. Therefore I'm trying it out on a Linux system while I wait for the AIX system to be available. It's been a long road but I have finally gotten the install to finish 'successfully' however I can't connect from R/3.
When I run the check http://10.XXX.YYY.ZZZ:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo from the browser on the Linux host I get back a good status as shown below:

However when I do this from any my PC it won't connect. (Of course the real problem is I can't connect from R/3.)
If I try the same URL from a different user session on the same Content Server Linux host I get the same good status.
I thought maybe the httpd.conf file was wrong so I tried:
Listen 0.0.0.0:1090
In cs.conf I tried commenting out AdminSecurity & AdminSecurityGroup.
I also changed StorageDriver from SAPDBStorage to FSStorage.
I don't know if this is related or just another problem to tackle once I can get through this one. I was not able to add the new system to the Database Manager. I get the error "-4 could not connect to socket [10060]".

Hi Henk,
It looks like I am dumber than a rock. The firewall was indeed active on the Linux host. I turned it off and can now do the http connection test to the Content Server. (I awarded very helpful points.)
I still can't connect to the database with the Database Manager however the message has changed; it now says "-4 XSERVER might be inactive". I just turned off the firewall so I have a few things to try, like figure out how to start MaxDB without the DB Manager. I'll post my progress. Thanks Henk.

Now I have installed the Database Studion on my PC. No I'm getting this message when I try to connect to the host/database on the Linux system: "Cannot connect to host 10.XXX.XXX.XXX:7210 [Connection refused: connect], -813."
Does MaxDB need to be started to connect? Any idea how to start it manually? Thanks,

Ah, at long last. There's this tiny yet very important little program called x_server that SAP didn't include in the SAP Content Server install guide. This needs to be running in order for anything to connect. I'm sure most of you know about it but for the rest you can find it in:
/sapdb/programs/bin
Then type
./x_server start
I'm not sure what user it should run under but I started it as the sdb user.

How far off stage can I move a tweened object

Flash Pro CC 2014, all updates.
I have a movie clip that is about 5500 pixels wide. I need to have it enter and exit across a 1920 x 1080 stage. As I try to move it to the left, it won't let me motion tween it far enough to get it off stage. It reaches the point where the left side of the object is at -3780 and that's the limit. I can drag it farther but when I release it the movie clip snaps right back to this distance.
Also, I need to activate roving frames so the motion is smooth, but for some reason I don't get the option, it's grayed out in the menu. Don't know if this relates to problem #1 or if I am just doing something wrong.
This one is a hot potato, as usual, I have someone hyperventilating to get this back to them.

Except that it still won't work. That's one of the first things I tried.
If I position the mc at x = 1980 so it's left edge is just off stage, then motion tween the span, then go to the last frame of the span, I enter -5478 into the x value in the properties panel and it turns it back to -3779 when I change focus just like when I drag it. It's like there's a limit on how far it will let me go.
If the mc is not in a tween I can slide it left forever (thank you unlimited pasteboard), but in a tween it refuses to go past x = -3789. Is there a tween limit somewhere? It won't go more than 7740 to the right either, just snaps right back when you release it or change focus in the properties panel.

Finder window shifts content off screen to the left.

This is posted in the Finder discussion also. I post it here also in the chance this is a Retina display issue. I never experienced this problem with Lion on my old MacBook Pro, just on my new Retina display.
On several occasions the window in my Finder shifts the contents off screen to the left. For example, in column view, the left most edge of the Finder window might be displaying files listed in column 2 or 3. And even that is only the rightmost sliver of that column, showing maybe the last 6 to 10 characters of the file/fold names. There is no horizontal scroll bar and there appears to be no way to force the leftmost content (which is off screen to the left) to come back onto the screen. This appears to happen randomly; at least I've not noticed a pattern. I'm usually in Column view. When this happens switch between view options provides no solution. Minimizing and resizing also have no affect. Scrolling does not work, nor does using the arrow keys.The only solution is to close the window and open a new one.
Anyone have this happen? Any ideas as to cause or cure?
Closing the window and opening a new one is not a "major" crisis, but the fact such a bug is running around is undermining my confidence in the system.

Please post a screen shot of what you are seeing. If you mean to the left of the Finder Window, it goes under the Sidebar area this is normal if your focus is in the Next to right most column. Like this?
That is completely normal. The left hand side has to go somewhere when the focus in more to the right.
Although myh scroll bar does allow me to go back to the left.

My Mid 2011 MacBook Air (shipped with Lion) has been having this exact problem for some time now.
It started being really annoying when I placed the Dock to the right part of the screen. 'Drag and Drop' anything to the Dock would almost always reproduce the problem to all Finder windows.
The only solution I found was to force close the Finder. And, of course, moving the Dock back to the bottom part. It still happened, just less often.
This issue is still happening after upgrading to Mountain Lion. But now it happens to a single window and I can solve it simply closing it.
It is not something to drive me mad either, but I am surprised there are so few people discussing this bug. I would love to know if there is already a solution.

Thank goodness it's not just me. I also have tried everything from previous forums and nothing works. I logged out and cannot log back in. Even changed password to no avail. How can we find out if this is an Apple problem.

Hide and Show Region Problem

Hi,
I have created a report with the following attributes:
Region Definition User Interface - Hide and Show Region;
Report template -Standard;
Sort Columns - all checked.
Report source - SQL Query (PL/SQL Function Body returning SQL query).
I open a page with this report, click on (+) and show region but when I try to sort records in the column region hides. The same problem I have with some others report templates.
Report templates Borderless and Horizontal Border do not have this problem.
I am using Application Express 2.2.1.00.04.
Could someone explain what it is?

Report template -Standard
Use a "Standard - PPR" template instead, that works better with a Show/Hide region template because the entire page is not re-rendered when you click on a column header to sort. Only the report region content is refreshed.

Off stage printing

I have a director movie from which I wish to print. I have
created the image I wish to print, which is made up of several
sprites, and put a border sprite around this. What I wish to be
able to do is to print this group of sprites from off stage. The
user should never see them appear on screen. I have previously used
code along the lines of:
stageImage = (the stage).image
spriteImage = stageImage.crop(sprite(83).rect)
member("printimage").image = spriteImage
to take a section of the stage and store it as a cast member
which I can then print. However because I want my section to be
taken from offstage I am unsure how to do it. I have tried taking
using the sprite(83).rect to define the image but this doesn't
work.
Any help will be most appreciated.

I don't think you should be any different than the rest of us
and escape the
hassle of assembling printable pages using Print-O-matic;)
But Print-O-matic is the way to go hands down.

Off-Stage Buttons

Hey guys.
I'm trying to write code for flash to scroll through a series
of vertical buttons on the stage. There are off stage buttons that
the movie needs to go to when you scroll down. Known problem of
Flash Lite is that you can't scroll or detect any buttons that are
off-stage. Has anyone encountered a problem like this before? I've
searched around and got no real good results.
My first theory to do this is more of tracking on-stage
buttons and using it to move the movie and bring off-stage buttons,
on stage. But it starts to make the code complacated. I was hoping
to just to write code that track if its off-stage and then go, hey
bring it on stage.
Any help would be super appriciated. Thanks alot!!!

A common approach to creating a scrolling menu is to put your
buttons in a movie clip, acting as a container, then set the movie
clip _y property to reposition the movie clip so that the offscreen
buttons appear on screen and the previously on screen buttons move
off screen.

No problem DavidNo. Try Long pressing the back button while the floating window is on your screen. This should disable it temporarily until you power phone off. You also be able to minimize the the Multi Window option. Let me know if this is helpful.

How can I hide content in design view within Dreamweaver?
I have a tabbed content menu that uses some javascript. Everything looks great in Live view, but when I go to design view, all the content goes way beyond the div. How can I make it to where I can hide the content in that div in design view or wrap it completely inside of there? It's really hard to explain which is why I provided some pictures!

Humm....... you want to hide it in Design View whilst working on the rest of the site?
If that is the case set the menu container <div> to display: none; -
<div id="menu" style="display: none;">This is the content menu</div>
Then either set it to display: block; when you're ready to view it live or remove the style completely.

Rounding off value problem in sales order

This is related to a rounding off value problem in sales order.
The problem is described by an example which is as follows -
Selling Price of Material A = Rs. 176.76
Excise charged = Rs. 21.80
Total Price = Rs.176.76 + Rs.21.80 = Rs. 198.56
On this total Trade Discount (ZDTD) having access sequence,is calculated at the rate of 4% = Rs. 7.94
But the condition base value after the discount is showing Rs.198.60 instead of Rs.198.56
I want the system to reflect the value as Rs.198.56 intact and it should not round up to the nearest value i.e. Rs. 198.60
Why is this happening? Is it possible to reflect the exact value? If yes what is needed to be done?
The commercial round off is activated for the DIFF Condition Type.
Looking forward to some valuable suggestions.

You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
